Wedding Favours · Complete List
One hundred 100 g favours at 8% hold 9.2 kg of wax and 800 g of rose oil — the easy part. The complete list adds jars with caps, wicks and stickers, an optional colour and wrap, and the finishing lines the couple chose.
₹15,870.60
core CSI order for 100 rose favours with Yankee jars and caps · tests, rejects, pour loss and breakage included · CSI live pricing, October 2026
Quick answers — read this first
How much wax and oil? 10,357 g of wax and 901 g of rose oil with allowances. Buy 1 × 10 kg + 1 × 500 g of CSI 468 and 1 × 500 g + 4 × 100 g + 1 × 15 g of British Rose.

Which jar? Not the 50 g velvet jar — it holds 50 g. Use your own favour jar or the Yankee 130 ml with clear cap (₹47.20) after a weighed test pour.

What else goes on the list? Wicks (test two first), one sticker per wick, optional dye (no published dose — test), optional tissue, and non-CSI tags, ribbon and boxes.

Total? ₹15,870.60 core CSI order; ₹16,756.60 with dye and tissue; ₹10,820.20 if you use your own jars.
The short answer
Answer: 1 × 10 kg + 1 × 500 g CSI 468, 1 × 500 g + 4 × 100 g + 1 × 15 g British Rose, 107 Yankee jars with caps, 108 stickers, two test wick packs and about 104 production wicks; optional red dye and tissue.
Why: A 100 g favour at 8% is 92 g wax + 8 g oil. The velvet jar's published capacity is 50 g, so a 100 g favour needs a different jar.
Method: Favour weight + jar first → BOM → 4 test favours → ÷ 0.97 → × 1.05 → ÷ 0.98 on glass → packs → wick and remaining jars after the test.
A 100 g favour against three CSI jars Only the velvet jar's fill is published (50 g). ml figures are brim volumes; wax about 0.86–0.90 g/ml (approximate) Heart Cutout Velvet Jar 50 g wax capacity (published) Yankee Glass Jar 130 ml about 112 g–117 g to the brim Salsa Glass Jar 200 ml about 172–180 g to the brim 100 g 100 g does not fit candidate · weigh a test pour fits, with a large gap Shaded band = the approximate wax-per-ml range. A candle is never filled to the brim, so the real fill is lower than the band. Your own jar, or the Yankee jar after a weighed test pour, are the two honest routes to a 100 g favour.
Three CSI jars against a 100 g favour, drawn to an approximate wax-capacity scale. The velvet jar's 50 g is published; the Yankee and Salsa figures are brim volumes converted at an approximate 0.86–0.90 g/ml. A 100 g favour fits the Yankee jar only if a weighed test pour confirms it.
Straight answer
I want to make 100 × 100 g rose candles for wedding favours — what should my complete raw-material shopping list look like?
Six categories: formula, container, wick, colour, wrap and finishing. At an 8% working load each 100 g favour is 92 g of wax and 8 g of rose oil. With four test favours, 3% rejects, 5% pour loss and 2% jar breakage (labelled assumptions) the formula lines are 1 × 10 kg + 1 × 500 g of Premium Coconut Soy Wax CSI 468 and 1 × 500 g + 4 × 100 g + 1 × 15 g of British Rose Fragrance Oil. The container is your own favour jar or the Yankee Glass Jar 130 ml with clear cap, 107 at ₹47.20 — not the Heart Cutout Velvet Jar, whose published capacity is 50 g. Wicks: test Eco Thin C1 and Cotton Braided first, then buy about 104 of the winner, plus 108 stickers. Optional: red dye (no published dose — test) and tissue at ₹6.50 a sheet. Tags, ribbon and boxes are your own quotes. Core CSI order: ₹15,870.60.
One line: decide the favour weight and jar first; then formula, wick, colour and wrap — with non-CSI lines kept outside the CSI total.
100 rose wedding favours of 100 g at an 8% working load: 1 × 10 kg + 1 × 500 g of Premium Coconut Soy Wax CSI 468 (₹6,695.00), 1 × 500 g + 4 × 100 g + 1 × 15 g of British Rose Fragrance Oil (₹3,056.20), 107 Yankee Glass Jar 130 mls with clear caps (₹5,050.40), stickers, two test wick packs and the production wick. The complete shopping list, by category

A wedding favour is a small candle with a long shopping list. Most of the lines are not wax.

A 100 g favour at 8% is 8 g of rose oil and 92 g of wax — a hundred of them are only 9.2 kg of wax and 800 g of oil. What makes a favour order complete is everything around the formula: a jar with a lid, a wick and its sticker, perhaps a blush of colour, something to wrap it in, and the non-CSI finishing touches the couple chose. This list groups every line into six categories so nothing is missed, prices every CSI line from the live listing, and keeps the non-CSI lines outside the CSI subtotal as labelled examples.

Core CSI subtotal (Thin C1 wins) ₹15,870.60
Core CSI subtotal (Cotton Braided wins) ₹16,539.60
CSI subtotal with optional dye and tissue ₹16,756.60

That is ₹158.71 of core CSI materials per favour, against ₹140.98 for one favour's own BOM before allowances. The jar is the biggest line: at ₹47.20 each, the Yankee jar with its cap is 32% of the core order — far more than the wax or the oil. If the couple has chosen a jar from elsewhere, the core CSI order without jars is ₹10,820.20.

Ask the couple four questions before you price
How many favours exactly, and does the planner want spares for the venue? Lidded or open? Coloured or natural? Wrapped by you or by the planner? Each answer adds or removes one category on this list. Spares the couple asks for are extra candles — add them to N, not to the allowances.

The 50 g velvet jar is not a 100 g jar

The favour jar everyone pictures holds 50 g. A 100 g favour needs a different jar.

The jar most people picture for a wedding favour is the Heart Cutout Velvet Jar — and it is one of only two CSI containers with a published fill. That fill is 50 g of wax. A 100 g favour will not fit in it, however it is poured. So there are three honest options: use the jar you have already chosen for the couple; use the Yankee Glass Jar 130 ml, a lidded jar sold by its 130 ml brim volume, as a candidate and confirm its fill with a weighed test pour; or change the favour to 50 g and use the velvet jar as published.

Jars re-checked 4 October 2026 · fills not published except the velvet jar (50 g) and the tin (85 g) · brim figures use an approximate 0.86–0.90 g/ml

Your chosen favour jar Your quote Your fill line Weigh one Not in CSI subtotal

The Yankee arithmetic is close enough to need a scale. 130 ml of wax at 0.86–0.90 g per ml weighs about 111.8 g–117.0 g to the brim, and a 100 g fill sits below that by only 11.8 g–17.0 g. Whether that leaves the gap below the rim you want for a lidded candle depends on the jar's shape and your fill line, which is exactly what one weighed test pour tells you. Buy a few Yankee jars first (they are sold singly), pour one to your line, weigh it, and only then order the remaining hundred.

Heart Cutout Velvet Jar, Red 107 10 × 10 + 1 × 5 + 2 × 1 ₹4,815.00
Wax + oil + jars ₹9,918.00
The assumption: "it is a favour jar, so it will take a favour." The velvet jar's published capacity is 50 g of wax, and the only jars whose fills CSI publishes are that one and the 85 g tin. Fix: decide the favour weight and the jar together, before you order wax. If the couple wants 100 g, use their jar or a test-poured Yankee jar; if they love the velvet jar, the favour is 50 g and the order above applies. Do not pour 100 g into two velvet jars and call it one favour.

From 100 favours to purchase quantities

The quantities in the list come from the same five-step stack used across this series, applied once each and in order. Wedding orders have one feature that changes the figures: there is no second chance at the date. That argues for using your own reject and pour-loss records rather than optimistic ones, and for counting the test candles honestly.

1
Split the favour100 g × 8% = 8 g British Rose; 100 g × 92% = 92 g wax. Weighed, not poured by eye — at this size a 1 g error is an eighth of the fragrance.
2
Count four test favoursTwo on Eco Thin C1, two on Cotton Braided, in the jar you will use. CSI publishes no wick-per-diameter chart, so these decide the wick. They also confirm the fill line.
3
Add rejects and pour lossDivide wax, oil, wicks and stickers by 0.97; multiply wax and oil by 1.05. Many small pours from one jug can leave proportionally more behind than a few large ones, so if your own figure for 100 g pours is higher than 5%, use it.
4
Add breakage to the glass104 jars ÷ 0.98 = 106.12 → 107. The Yankee jar is sold singly, so there is no pack rounding on top.
5
Round to packs and note the leftoversWax 1 × 10 kg + 1 × 500 g (143 g left), oil 1 × 500 g + 4 × 100 g + 1 × 15 g (14.4 g left), stickers 3 × 40 (12 left).
The 1 kg rose bottle is almost the same price
British Rose is one of the few CSI oils with a real per-gram break: ₹3.42 a gram at 100 g, ₹3.19 at 500 g and ₹3.07 at 1 kg. The cheapest cover for 900.6 g is 1 × 500 g + 4 × 100 g + 1 × 15 g at ₹3,056.20; a single 1 kg bottle is ₹11.80 more and leaves 99.4 g spare. For a wedding, where a remake the week before is the nightmare scenario, that extra 100 g is cheap insurance — your call.

CSI 468 for favours: what the page states

The wax line uses Premium Coconut Soy Wax CSI 468. CSI's product page states a melting point of 50–53°C, a pour temperature of 58–60°C, a fragrance load of up to 13% and a 60-month shelf life in cool, dry storage. That is a specification to follow, not a performance claim: CSI publishes no throw, frosting or adhesion data for any of its waxes. At 8% you are well inside the published 13%. The 10 kg bag costs ₹6,370.00 (₹637.00 a kilo); the 500 g bag is ₹325.00 (₹650.00 a kilo), so a 10 kg plus a 500 g covers this order for ₹6,695.00.

Natural Soy Pearl Wax None published 1 × 10 kg + 1 × 1 kg ₹4,698.00
Argued against our own interest, plainly. CSI 468 is the dearest wax line on this page — ₹1,997.00 more than Natural Soy Pearl for the same favours — and we publish nothing that proves it makes a better favour. It is here because its page publishes a melting point, pour temperature and a 13% ceiling, which makes a deadline order easier to plan. If your test favours pass in CSI 464 or Soy Pearl, the cheaper wax is the right buy. And the biggest saving on this list is not the wax at all: it is using the couple's own jars if they have chosen them.

Colour, wrapping and the non-CSI lines

A blush-pink rose favour is a common request. CSI lists liquid dyes and dye chips; Candle Dye Liquid Red is ₹236.00 for 15 g and Red Candle Dye Chips are ₹250.00. CSI does not publish a dose per kilo of wax for its dyes, so a pastel shade is found by test pours — start with a very small amount in a weighed batch, note it, and repeat it exactly. In general practice dye can also change how a candle burns, so test it in the same favours as your wick test, not afterwards. The pastel-pink rose post builds the dye, load and wick test into one purchase.

Wrapping is the other optional CSI line: Premium Packing Tissue Paper, 50 × 75 cm, 22 GSM, is ₹650.00 for 100 sheets — ₹6.50 a sheet, one per favour if each is wrapped. Tags, ribbons, boxes and any printing are not CSI items; they appear on the list as examples for you to replace with your own quotes and are deliberately left out of the CSI subtotal.

Buy now, buy after the test, and the date

For a wedding the split between buying now and buying after the test is also a calendar. The wax, the rose oil, the stickers and a handful of Yankee jars are shared whatever wick wins, so they can be ordered today. The production wick waits for the four test favours. And the remaining hundred jars wait for the weighed test pour — if the Yankee jar does not hold 100 g to your line, you change the jar, not the favour.

Durations are labelled examples — replace them with your own cure and burn schedule
A working order of events for a November–February wedding

3 Cure the test favours (labelled example: 7 days) Day 3–10 —
4 Burn tests, 3–4 hour cycles, score both wicks Day 10–14 —
5 Order the production wick and the remaining 101 jars Day 14 ₹5,298.20
6 Pour 100 favours; cure; wrap; deliver From day 16 —

Working back from the wedding date with your own cure time is the only safe planning rule. With Diwali on Sunday 8 November 2026 and the November–February wedding season starting, an order placed this week leaves room for a full test cycle before most December dates. The 500-piece wedding order covers larger weddings in two fragrances, and the 100-piece rose pilot starts from the development stage rather than a confirmed order.

The CSI principle
Decide the favour weight and the jar together, then the wax.
The jar fixes the fill; the fill fixes the formula; the formula fixes the order. Reversing that sequence is how a favour ends up in a jar it does not fit.

The 100-candle Lavender hub explains the method in full for a 200 g candle. Your first 100 candles separates what to buy in bulk from what to keep small. The burn-test budget post sizes the test favours if you want more than four. If the couple wants two fragrances, two fragrances in one run shares the wax across them, and the complete 100-candle plan adds dye and testing materials in one list.

Wax is the smallest decision in a favour order. The jar is the biggest — make it first.

Why trust this guide

CANDLEMAKINGSUPPLIESINDIA supplies raw materials, not finished candles. The most popular favour jar we sell holds 50 g, and this page says so in the first screen rather than letting you discover it after the order. It also tells you when the cheaper wax or your own jars are the better buy.

Frequently asked questions

How much wax for 100 candles of 100 g?
At 8% fragrance, 9.2 kg net (92 g each). With four test candles, 3% rejects and 5% pour loss, 10,357 g — 1 × 10 kg + 1 × 500 g of CSI 468.
How much fragrance oil for 100 wedding favours?
800 g net for 100 g favours at 8%; 900.6 g with allowances — 1 × 500 g + 4 × 100 g + 1 × 15 g of British Rose, or a 1 kg bottle for ₹11.80 more.
How much wax does the heart velvet candle jar hold?
CSI publishes its capacity as 50 g of wax. It suits a 50 g favour, not a 100 g one.
What jar is best for 100 g candle favours?
CSI publishes no fill for its other jars, so use the jar you have chosen or test-pour a candidate. The Yankee 130 ml jar holds roughly 112–117 g of wax to the brim (approximate), so 100 g is plausible — weigh one to your fill line.
How much dye for pink wedding candles?
CSI does not publish a dye dose per kilo of wax. Find the shade with small weighed test pours, write the amount down and repeat it exactly; test the dyed favours on your chosen wick.
When should I start making wedding favour candles?
Work back from the date: test pour, cure, burn-test both wicks, then pour all favours and cure them. Durations depend on your wax and your own schedule; CSI 468's page and your tests set them, not a fixed rule.

About this guide: Written by the CANDLEMAKINGSUPPLIESINDIA team. The category-by-category list applies to any favour order; the products named are CSI's.

Customer reviews: The six reviews at the top of this page are genuine, published Judge.me reviews left by CSI customers on the product pages named on each card — Eco Candle Wicks, Premium Candle Wicking Needle and Bamboo Wick Holder. They are general product reviews, not assessments of the guidance set out here. Names, star ratings, dates and products are as recorded by Judge.me and wording is unedited. "Verified buyer" appears only on the three reviews Judge.me recorded as verified — Monika Deep, Subhankar Roy and Sneha Tamang; the reviews from Ashwini, LJ and Lalitha Jagan are published but not recorded as verified, and carry no badge.

Non-price figures and assumptions: BOM convention used on every page in this series: load is a share of the finished candle (oil = W × L; wax = W × (1 − L)). Allowances are applied in one order — whole test candles, then a reject allowance (÷ (1 − reject rate)) on wax, oil, wicks and stickers, then pour loss on wax and oil only, then breakage on glass only, then rounding up to listed in-stock CSI packs. A rejected candle is assumed to be remade with new wax, oil, wick and sticker in a cleaned jar; a jar that cannot be reused counts as breakage. Working figures on this page: 8% load (the title gives none), 4 test favours (2 wicks × 2), 3% rejects, 5% pour loss, 2% breakage; the timeline durations are labelled examples. Optional CSI lines: Candle Dye Liquid Red 15 g ₹236.00 (2301 catalogue pull; no dose published); Red Candle Dye Chips ₹250.00; Premium Packing Tissue Paper 100 sheets ₹650.00 (3001 pull). Volume is not weight: a jar's ml figure is its brim volume. Solid soy wax is lighter than water; ~0.86–0.90 g per ml is a labelled approximate working range that varies by wax, temperature and fill line, never a CSI specification. What CSI's product pages state (quoted, not CSI test results): Luxury Soy Wax Chunks — maximum fragrance load 13%, fragrance addition 80–90°C, pour 75–80°C in the spec table (the step list also shows 70–80°C), cure minimum 48 hours, ideally 1–2 weeks; Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464 — fragrance load up to 10%, an 80–90°C melt/pour working range in the spec table, shelf life 60 months cool and dry; Premium Coconut Soy Wax CSI 468 — melting point 50–53°C, pour 58–60°C, fragrance load up to 13%, shelf life 60 months cool and dry; Natural Soy Pearl — no melt point, pour temperature, fragrance ceiling or shelf life published. CSI publishes no throw, burn-test, wick-size-per-diameter or jar-diameter data; only two fills are published (Golden Aluminium Tin 85 g, Heart Cutout Velvet Jar 50 g wax capacity). Material costs exclude labour, packaging, freight and GST. Diwali 2026 falls on Sunday 8 November.
