Premium Candle Fragrance Oils for Candle Makers in Patna
Share
What can "premium" honestly mean? Four things you can check: a published note structure whose weight sits in the base; a price point that reflects concentration and composition; a pack ladder that starts small enough to test; and your own cured burn result. It cannot mean a grade, a certificate or a measured throw, because nobody issues any of those.
Do the dearest oils publish the most? No — the opposite. Of these 27 listings, only 3 publish a measured flash point, 8 publish no candle load at all, 13 publish no vanillin or discolouration line, and 24 carry no published reviews. Price buys composition. It does not buy evidence.
What is the cheapest way to try the tier? 11 of the 27 list a 15 g bottle, from ₹103.84. The other 16 start at 50 g or 100 g, so the cheapest way to smell them is ₹354 to ₹1,499. A six-bottle premium bench of 15 g trials comes to ₹780.84.
What "premium" can honestly mean on a product page
Start with what the word cannot mean. No standards body issues a premium classification for fragrance oil, no CSI page claims one, and no page publishes a throw measurement — throw is a property of a finished candle, not a bottle. So "premium" describes composition and presentation, and the honest version has four parts a buyer can check without leaving the product page.
| Claim | Can it be checked? | How |
|---|---|---|
| Base-weighted structure | Yes, on the page | Read the published pyramid. If the base names amber, musk, oud, sandalwood, tonka, balsamic resin or dry woods, the scent has somewhere to go after the first hour |
| Concentration and composition | Partly | Several premium pages describe a "fine perfume oil (concentrated)" and instruct you to start at 7%. A stated starting point lower than the ceiling is itself information |
| A ladder that lets you test before committing | Yes | 11 of the 27 list a 15 g bottle; the rest start at 50 g or 100 g. A tier you can only enter at ₹1,499 is a tier you will test less carefully |
| Performance in your candle | Yes — but only by you | One wax, one wick, one load, cured 14 to 21 days, burned to a full melt pool and scored. Nothing on any page substitutes for it |
| "Premium grade" / "luxury grade" | No | No such grade exists or is issued. Treat it as the compounder's adjective |
| A measured scent throw or room coverage | No | No CSI page publishes a throw measurement, a burn time or a room size in square feet, and none should |
| Shelf life or storage specification | No | Zero of the 107 fragrance pages state a shelf life, expiry or storage condition. Any figure you are quoted is a claim, not a specification |
The premium tier, costed per candle
Twenty-seven listings carry a live kilo at or above ₹6,867.60. Twenty of them are below, with the kilo price, the cheapest buyable bottle, and the oil cost inside one 200 g candle at 8% — the load to test at — and at 10%, the ceiling most of these pages state. Designer-inspired listings in the same band are counted in the range's totals but not named.
| Fragrance oil | 1 kg | Cheapest live bottle | Oil per candle at 8% | Oil per candle at 10% |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Saffron Cedarwood | ₹6,867.60 | 15 g ₹103.84 | ₹109.88 | ₹137.35 |
| Sage and Cedarwood | ₹6,867.60 | 50 g ₹354 | ₹109.88 | ₹137.35 |
| Firdaus BA | ₹7,360 | 100 g ₹799 | ₹117.76 | ₹147.20 |
| Tobacco Vanilla | ₹7,499 | 100 g ₹799 | ₹119.98 | ₹149.98 |
| Neroli Signature Grade | ₹7,599 | 15 g ₹133 | ₹121.58 | ₹151.98 |
| Dark Vanilla | ₹7,646 | 15 g ₹130 | ₹122.34 | ₹152.92 |
| Vanilla Bean | ₹7,646 | 15 g ₹130 | ₹122.34 | ₹152.92 |
| Lavender Cranberry Coconut | ₹7,999 | 15 g ₹133 | ₹127.98 | ₹159.98 |
| Midnight Bakhoor Royale | ₹7,999 | 100 g ₹799 | ₹127.98 | ₹159.98 |
| Smoked Rose Royale | ₹7,999 | 100 g ₹799 | ₹127.98 | ₹159.98 |
| Sultan's Smoke | ₹7,999 | 100 g ₹799 | ₹127.98 | ₹159.98 |
| White Royal Oud | ₹8,103 | 15 g ₹130 | ₹129.65 | ₹162.06 |
| Coffee Vanilla Tobacco | ₹8,599 | 50 g ₹449 | ₹137.58 | ₹171.98 (page ceiling is 9%) |
| Pink Crush | ₹8,899 | 50 g ₹444 | ₹142.38 | ₹177.98 |
| Gilli Mitti (Patchouli) | ₹8,960 | 15 g ₹140 | ₹143.36 | ₹179.20 |
| Santal Noir | ₹9,120 | 15 g ₹166 | ₹145.92 | ₹182.40 |
| Amber Oud Royal | ₹11,640 | 100 g ₹1,299 | ₹186.24 | ₹232.80 |
| Tangerine | ₹11,999 | 15 g ₹199 | ₹191.98 | ₹239.98 |
| Lavender Oud | ₹12,000 | 100 g ₹1,200 | ₹192 | ₹240 |
| English Pear & Freesia | ₹14,560 | 100 g ₹1,499 | ₹232.96 | ₹291.20 |
Two things are worth noticing in that spread. First, 23 of the 27 cluster between ₹6,867.60 and ₹9,120 a kilogram — that is the working premium band, and inside a candle it is a range of only ₹36.04. Second, the four listings above ₹11,600 are a genuinely different decision: ₹186.24 to ₹232.96 of oil per candle, none of them with a 15 g bottle except one, and entry prices from ₹199 to ₹1,499. Those belong in a small signature line with a retail price built around them, not spread across a range.
What the dearest pages do not publish
This is the finding a supplier would rather not print. Put the questions a professional buyer would ask to all 27 premium listings and the answers thin out sharply as the price climbs. The single-note mid-range oils — rose, sandalwood, jasmine, lavender — publish measured flash points, vanillin figures and cure times. The composed premium listings, especially the "royale" and "signature" family, publish a beautiful pyramid and very little else.
| Published field | Of 27 | The detail |
|---|---|---|
| A note structure or pyramid | 27 | All of them. This is the field the tier is built on, and it is genuinely useful |
| A candle load | 19 | Eight publish none: Saffron Cedarwood, Neroli Signature Grade, Midnight Bakhoor Royale, Smoked Rose Royale, Sultan's Smoke, White Royal Oud, Santal Noir and Tangerine |
| IFRA wording of any kind | 18 | Nine use none. No page anywhere publishes a certificate, amendment or category number, and none attaches a document |
| A vanillin or discolouration line | 14 | Thirteen say nothing, which means a test tile and three weeks of waiting if your wax is white |
| A measured flash point | 3 | Only Sage and Cedarwood (190°C), Dark Vanilla (~191-193°C) and Vanilla Bean (203°C). Several others carry only the template line "Flash point > 93°C (suitable for alcohol-based products)", which is a threshold, not a measurement |
| Published customer reviews | 3 | Twenty-four have none. Absence of reviews is absence of evidence, not evidence of a problem |
| A 15 g trial bottle | 11 | Sixteen start at 50 g or 100 g, so the cheapest way to smell them costs ₹354 to ₹1,499 |
None of this makes the premium tier a bad buy; it changes what you must do before you sell it. A mid-range oil with a stated load, a measured flash point and a vanillin figure can go into production after one careful test batch. A premium oil with a pyramid and nothing else needs two: one at 8% in your actual wax to settle the load and the burn, and one in your actual glass colour left three weeks to see whether it browns. Build that second test into the price, not the launch week.
Four premium oils and what each one commits to
Each card carries the pack ladder from the product page and how many 200 g candles at an 8% load each pack fills, at 16 g of oil per candle. They are chosen to span the documentation range: one that publishes almost everything, one that publishes almost nothing, one that can be sampled for ₹166, and the dearest kilo in the guide.

Premium against the Patna gifting calendar
Premium candles in Patna are mostly not impulse retail. They are gifts: corporate hampers, wedding favours, house-warming presents, the return gifts that go with a family function. That changes which premium oil you should buy, because a gifted candle is chosen by one person, opened by another weeks later, and looked at long before it is lit.
| Occasion | What the buyer wants | The field that decides it | A structure that fits |
|---|---|---|---|
| Corporate Diwali hampers, ordered weeks ahead of 8 November 2026 | Uniform, presentable, inoffensive; bought in tens or hundreds | The discolouration line, because the candle sits boxed for weeks before it is opened | A 0%-vanillin woody or floral, or a warm gourmand in amber glass rather than clear |
| Chhath, in the days immediately after Diwali | Something restrained and traditional rather than a novelty scent | The published base — sandalwood, amber, resin read as appropriate; sugar and fruit do not | Composed santal, saffron and cedar, or a smoky resin |
| Wedding favours and the winter wedding weeks | Volume at a controlled cost, with one scent repeated exactly | The pack ladder, because you need the same oil again in the same size | A listing with all five sizes, so 15 g proves it and the kilo delivers it |
| House-warming and festival return gifts, year round | A candle that reads expensive at a modest price | The entry bottle price, because you will test several before choosing | Anything in the ₹6,867.60 to ₹9,120 band with a 15 g trial |
The discolouration point is the one that costs real money in this calendar. A hamper candle poured in mid-October for the Diwali and Chhath weeks has to survive the cure, the box and a warm room before anyone lifts the lid, and several premium pages state plainly that they will change the wax colour over time: Tobacco Vanilla warns that it "contains vanilla and tonka, which will cause browning in white or light-coloured wax, soap, and cream bases over time", and Firdaus BA warns that patchouli and amber "will cause warm amber or golden toning in white or light-coloured wax and soap bases over time". Neither is a fault. Both are a decision about glass colour that you should make before you buy 200 white jars.
Sampling the premium tier for ₹780.84
Eleven of the 27 premium listings carry a 15 g bottle, which makes a real bench affordable. Here is one built to cover six different bases rather than six versions of one idea, and the steps that turn six sniffs into a costed decision.
Above a kilo of a premium oil
One kilogram is the largest fragrance size CSI lists, on premium oils as on every other. Above it you multiply the listed price and treat the product as a ceiling: two kilos of Sultan's Smoke is 2 × ₹7,999 = ₹15,998, three kilos of Santal Noir is ₹27,360, and two kilos of English Pear & Freesia is ₹29,120. Those are figures anyone can buy at today. What a standing quarterly order costs is a calculation that depends on the kilos, the scent mix, the frequency and the invoicing, and no blog should print it in advance.
For a premium gifting run the arithmetic is usually smaller than people expect. Two hundred candles of 200 g at 8% need 3.2 kg of oil — four kilos if it is split across two scents, so four listed kilos, not a drum. At the ₹7,999 price point that is ₹31,996 of fragrance and 36.8 kg of wax, about ₹22,043.20 at the Luxury Soy Wax Chunks price of ₹599 a kilo. Send the bulk line the scents, the kilos of each, whether it repeats, the delivery city and whether you need GST invoicing and documentation on file, and you will get an answerable reply rather than a slow one.
CANDLEMAKINGSUPPLIESINDIA supplies candle raw materials and does not sell finished candles. The profitable version of a premium page sells the ₹14,560 kilo. This one prints that only 3 of the 27 premium listings publish a measured flash point, that 8 publish no candle load, that 13 publish no discolouration line and that 24 carry no reviews — and it tells you to spend ₹780.84 on 15 g bottles first. A maker who prices a premium line correctly reorders it every season; one who launches on a page description and discovers browning in a customer's hamper does not.
Every price, pack, count and quoted phrase comes from live CSI stock in September 2026 and links to the product page, where current pricing takes precedence. Loads, flash points, vanillin lines and scent structures are quoted only where the page states them. "Premium" and "luxury" are described as composition and presentation, never as a grade, certificate or measured performance, because no page publishes any of those. The template line "Flash point > 93°C" is identified as a threshold, never used as a measured value. Retail prices in the diagram are illustrative planning figures, not CSI prices. Listings referencing third-party fragrance brands are counted but not named.
CSI ships across India and takes bulk orders on WhatsApp; we publish no delivery times, courier arrangements or shipping rates, and there is no CSI shop or stockist in Patna. Figures verified September 2026: the premium tier defined here is the 27 fragrance-oil listings with a live 1 kg priced at or above ₹6,867.60, excluding listings that reference third-party fragrance brands, which are counted in the range's totals but not named. Every kilo price and entry bottle price is in the costed table above and on the linked product page. Published-field counts across those 27 are printed in the audit table above, including the eight with no candle load and the three with a measured flash point (Sage and Cedarwood 190°C, Dark Vanilla ~191-193°C, Vanilla Bean 203°C). Across the whole range only 18 of 107 pages publish a measured flash point; "Flash point > 93°C (suitable for alcohol-based products)" is a shared template threshold and is never counted or quoted as a measurement. No page in the range states a shelf life, storage condition, allergen declaration, certificate number or throw measurement. Candle maths: load is a share of finished candle weight, so 200 g at 8% is 184 g wax and 16 g oil and at 10% is 180 g and 20 g (some pages phrase it as a share of total wax weight instead); oil per candle = 1 kg price ÷ 1,000 × grams. Wax figures use Luxury Soy Wax Chunks at ₹599 per kg, so 184 g = ₹110.22; that page states 8–13% of total wax weight with 10% recommended, add at 80–90°C, pour 70–80°C. Premium bench: 15 g bottles ₹103.84 + ₹125 + ₹126 + ₹130 + ₹130 + ₹166 = ₹780.84; 100 g follow-ups Dark Vanilla ₹790, Santal Noir ₹919. English Pear & Freesia 100 g ₹1,499 = ₹14,990 per kg against ₹14,560 for the kilo, a difference of ₹430 per kilogram or ₹6.88 per candle at 8% (₹239.84 against ₹232.96). Mid-to-premium step: Santal Noir ₹145.92 − Sandalwood ₹80.43 = ₹65.49 per candle, ₹6,549 across 100 candles. Multi-kilo ceilings: Sultan's Smoke 2 × ₹7,999 = ₹15,998; Santal Noir 3 × ₹9,120 = ₹27,360; English Pear & Freesia 2 × ₹14,560 = ₹29,120. Gifting run: 200 candles × 16 g = 3.2 kg of oil, rounded to four listed kilos across two scents at ₹7,999 = ₹31,996, plus 200 × 184 g = 36.8 kg of wax at ₹599 = ₹22,043.20. Retail prices of ₹699, ₹899, ₹1,199 and ₹1,499 in the diagram are illustrative planning figures, not CSI prices; the oil shares are 15.72%, 14.24%, 12.17% and 15.54%. A 14–21 day cure for soy container candles is standard practice; Diwali 2026 falls on 8 November 2026 and Chhath follows in the days after it. Seasonal descriptions are general soy material behaviour, not measured local data. Prices and availability change — the linked product pages are always authoritative.
