Rose Fragrance Oil 5 Kg Wholesale Price in India
Share
Is there a 5 kg bottle or a wholesale slab? No. CSI's fragrance ladder stops at 1 kg — 15 g, 50 g, 100 g, 500 g, 1 kg — and there is no 5 kg SKU anywhere in the 92-oil catalogue. There is also no published trade tier, rate card, slab, minimum order quantity or credit term. One ladder, everybody, same price. You can ask for a quote on WhatsApp; we are not going to pretend a better number is sitting behind it.
Does the price drop if I buy five kilograms? Not automatically, and not much anywhere on the ladder. The kilogram beats ten 500 g packs by ₹590 across five kilograms — 3.7%. On Smoked Rose Royale the kilogram route is actually ₹5 dearer than the 500 g route.
So what should I be negotiating? Not the rose. At ₹3.068 per gram it is 27.1% of the raw-material bill on the 312-candle run priced below, and the most a cheaper oil could save you is ₹1,180. The wax is 51.5%. Go and look at the wax.
Five kilograms of rose, priced exactly
Start with the sentence that stops most of this conversation: CSI does not sell a 5 kg fragrance-oil pack. Not in rose, not in anything. The variant ladder across all 92 oils is at most 15 g, 50 g, 100 g, 500 g and 1 kg, and above a kilogram you are buying multiples. Anybody offering you a 5 kg drum from this catalogue is describing something that does not exist. Five kilograms of British Rose is five bottles at ₹3,068, which is ₹15,340. Five kilograms of Smoked Rose Royale is five bottles at ₹7,999, which is ₹39,995. The website price does not fall automatically because the quantity crossed a kilogram, and no slab appears in the cart.
To put ₹15,340 in the context of the shelf it sits on: it is ₹48 more than two kilograms of Vanilla Bean at ₹7,646 each. It is ₹2,299 less than a kilogram plus a 500 g bottle of Amber Oud Royal (₹11,640 + ₹5,999 = ₹17,639), and ₹2,860 less than the same pairing in Lavender Oud (₹12,000 + ₹6,200 = ₹18,200). Spent on the dearest oil in the catalogue, Club De Nuit Intense inspired at ₹24.056 per gram, ₹15,340 buys about 638 grams — in real bottles, six at ₹14,436, leaving you 4.4 kilograms short of where British Rose already has you.
| Route to 5 kg | British Rose | Per gram | Smoked Rose Royale | Per gram |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 100 × 50 g | ₹21,240.00 | ₹4.248 | No 50 g variant | — |
| 50 × 100 g | ₹17,110.00 | ₹3.422 | ₹39,950.00 — cheapest | ₹7.990 |
| 10 × 500 g | ₹15,930.00 | ₹3.186 | ₹39,990.00 | ₹7.998 |
| 5 × 1 kg | ₹15,340.00 — cheapest | ₹3.068 | ₹39,995.00 — dearest | ₹7.999 |
On British Rose the kilogram route is genuinely the cheapest, and here is the size of it: ₹590 against ten 500 g packs (3.7%), ₹1,770 against fifty 100 g bottles (10.3%), and ₹5,900 against a hundred 50 g bottles (27.8%). The 50 g route is silly at this volume and nobody buys it, so the honest headline is the first two figures. A mechanism that pays 3.7% on the last step and 10.3% across the whole usable ladder is a convenience tier — fewer bottles, fewer batch codes, less decanting — and it is not a wholesale tier. Calling it one would be flattering our own price list.
What five kilograms actually commits you to
₹15,340 of rose is not a purchase on its own. It is the fragrance line of a production run, and the run is the thing you are really committing to. Five kilograms at 8% in a 200 g candle makes 312 candles — 4,992 g of the oil used, 8 g left in the bottle — and those 312 candles need 57.4 kg of wax, 312 vessels, 312 wicks and 312 wick stickers. Below is that bill priced in real pack sizes only, because you cannot buy 57.408 kg of wax; you buy the packs that cover it.
| Line | Packs actually bought | Cost | Share |
|---|---|---|---|
| Wax — Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464 | 5 × 10 kg + 1 × 5 kg + 2 × 1 kg + 1 × 500 g = 57.5 kg | ₹29,181.80 | 51.5% |
| Fragrance — British Rose | 5 × 1 kg | ₹15,340.00 | 27.1% |
| Vessel — 200 ml Salsa jar, golden lid | 3 × 100 Pcs + 3 × 5 Pcs = 315 jars | ₹9,451.80 | 16.7% |
| Wick — Eco Candle Wicks Thin (C1) | 3 × 100 + 1 × 20 = 320 wicks | ₹1,888.00 | 3.3% |
| Wick stickers | 8 sheets of 40 = 320 stickers | ₹800.00 | 1.4% |
| Total raw material | 312 candles, spares included | ₹56,661.60 | ₹181.61 each |
Read the share column rather than the cost column. The fragrance everybody arrived asking about is 27.1% of the money. The wax is 51.5% — more than the fragrance and the vessel put together. And the vessel line is worth a second look, because it is the one number here that is genuinely yours to choose: at ₹29.50 for the 200 ml Salsa golden-lid jar the vessel is 16.7% and sits below the fragrance. Take the identical 200 ml Salsa format in coloured glass at ₹62.00 and the bill becomes ₹66,739.80 — at which point the vessel is 29.3% and the fragrance has fallen to 23.0%. One decision about glass moves the rankings. No decision about rose does.
Load ceilings. 8% sits inside CSI 464's stated maximum of 10% and inside Luxury Soy Wax Chunks' 13%. Those are formulation limits published by the wax maker, not regulatory limits, and they are the only two ceilings CSI publishes. Eco Soy CSI 400 is the cheapest soy at ₹399/kg and it is tempting for exactly this reason — but it has no published ceiling, so we are not going to imply 8% is inside one.
Three levers that all beat the rose
If the fragrance is 27.1% and the most you can win on it is small, the sensible question is what the big levers are worth. Each is computed across the same 312-candle run, and each is larger than the entire price gap between British Rose and the cheapest oil in the catalogue.
Now the number those three are being measured against. British Rose is ₹3.068 per gram. The cheapest oil in the entire 92-oil catalogue, Citrus Lemon, is ₹2.832. That is the whole remaining headroom below British Rose: ₹0.236 per gram, 7.7%. Bought as five kilograms it is ₹14,160 against ₹15,340 — a maximum possible saving of ₹1,180, ₹3.78 a candle, 2.1% of the raw-material bill. And that assumes you are willing to sell a lemon candle to a customer who came for rose, which is not a trade most brands can make.
| Oil | Per gram | Fragrance per candle | Five kilograms | Against British Rose |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Citrus Lemon — catalogue floor | ₹2.832 | ₹45.31 | ₹14,160 | −₹3.78 a candle |
| British Rose | ₹3.068 | ₹49.09 | ₹15,340 | — |
| Smoked Rose Royale | ₹7.999 | ₹127.98 | ₹39,995 | +₹78.89 a candle |
| Club De Nuit Intense inspired — catalogue ceiling | ₹24.056 | ₹384.90 | ₹120,280 | +₹335.81 a candle |
Overbuying, turnover and five batch codes
The genuine upside of rose being cheap: if five kilograms turns out to be a mistake, you are carrying ₹15,340 of slow stock. Make the same mistake on Smoked Rose Royale and it is ₹39,995 — ₹24,655 more. Make it on Club De Nuit Intense inspired and it is ₹120,280, 7.8× the British Rose exposure. Overbuying a cheap oil is a manageable error in a way that overbuying a premium one is not, and any honest reading of the risk has to say so.
And then the other half, which matters more. Cheap per gram is not a reason to buy five kilograms of a scent that has not sold. The threshold is not a price, it is a number of candles: five kilograms at 8% is 312 candles of 200 g, or 625 candles of 100 g. If you cannot see 312 rose candles leaving in your planning window, you are not buying a bargain, you are buying inventory. A rose profile that reads beautifully in one brand's range reads soapy in another's and too sweet in a third — which is precisely why it should be tested against your own range rather than bought on per-gram merit.
The next paragraph is editorial judgement, not CSI policy. On working capital, the figure to watch is not ₹15,340, it is how long that ₹15,340 sits still. Five kilograms at 8% in a 200 g candle is consumed at 16 g a candle, so a maker pouring 104 rose candles a month clears it in three months; 52 a month in six; 26 a month in twelve. Our own view: twelve months is too long to have cash parked in one scent when the volume mechanism behind the purchase is 3.7%, and around a six-month horizon is where five kilograms starts to make commercial sense. That is a judgement about your cash, not a specification about the oil. If you are below 26 a month, buy 1 kg five times and lose ₹590 for the privilege of not guessing.
What to ask instead of "what's your 5 kg rate"
If you are placing a ₹15,340 fragrance order and a ₹56,661.60 raw-material order behind it, the questions that protect that money are not about price. There is almost no price left to win on a ₹3.068 oil — which means consistency matters more than price here, not less. A batch that drifts costs you a production run; the whole price gap down to the cheapest oil in the catalogue costs you ₹1,180. Ask these instead, of us or of anyone else.
| Ask | Why it affects your cost |
|---|---|
| Is this one batch, and can I have the batch codes? | Five bottles may be five batches. A shift in strength between bottle two and bottle four is discovered at candle 150, after the wick and load are locked. Re-testing a run costs more than the entire ₹1,180 of price headroom below this oil. |
| Can I have the IFRA and MSDS documentation? | IFRA usage guidance is per application — a candle, a wax melt and a reed diffuser are not the same permitted category. Ordering five kilograms for a product the documentation does not cover is the most expensive mistake available on this page. CSI supplies both on request. |
| Will this be invoiced with GST? | A GST invoice is input credit if you are registered, and it is the document your accountant needs to treat ₹15,340 as stock rather than an unexplained outflow. CSI invoices with GST. |
| Will this oil still be available in three months? | A 312-candle line built on an oil that disappears means reformulating, re-testing and relabelling a product customers have already bought. That is worth far more than a discount. |
| What pack sizes exist — and does the price actually change? | The honest answer here is 15 g / 50 g / 100 g / 500 g / 1 kg, nothing above a kilogram, and a 3.7% step from 500 g to the kilogram. A supplier who answers this vaguely is a supplier whose rate you cannot audit. |
Notice what is absent from that list: a slab, a trade account, an MOQ and a credit term. CSI publishes none of the four. One ladder, visible on the product page, same for a first-time buyer of 15 g and for someone taking five kilograms. You can ask on WhatsApp and get a real answer from a person; what you will not get is the implication that a hidden better number was always there for anyone who knew to ask. To check this against the market, start with the wholesale supplier comparison and the complete wholesale buyer's guide; how premium brands buy fragrance wholesale is worth reading precisely because it is not mostly about price either.
CANDLEMAKINGSUPPLIESINDIA supplies raw materials, not finished candles. The commercially convenient version of this page invents a 5 kg pack, hints at a trade tier, and lets you believe a discount waits behind a WhatsApp message. We have written the opposite: no pack above 1 kg exists, no rate card, slab, MOQ or credit term is published, and the volume mechanism on British Rose is 3.7% from 500 g to the kilogram — with Smoked Rose Royale's kilogram ₹5 dearer than its 500 g route across five kilograms.
Every price here is a live CSI variant price pulled in September 2026 and links to the product page, which is always authoritative on current pricing and specification. The 10% and 13% figures are the fragrance loads stated for Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464 and Luxury Soy Wax Chunks — wax formulation limits set by the wax maker, not regulatory limits, and the only two CSI publishes. Eco Soy CSI 400 has no published ceiling and we have not assigned it one. No shelf-life figure is published for any fragrance oil and none is stated here.
The turnover horizon in the working-capital section is our editorial judgement, flagged as such, not CSI policy. For quantity quotes, GST invoicing, IFRA and MSDS documentation, or help matching a wick to a specific jar diameter, message us on WhatsApp at +91 7397976926.

Fragrance load ceilings of 10% (CSI 464) and 13% (Luxury Soy Wax Chunks) are the wax manufacturer's stated formulation maximums, not regulatory limits, and are the only two CSI publishes — Eco Soy CSI 400 has no published ceiling.
