Candle Business Guides · Patna
Most makers asking for wholesale fragrance oil are asking for a trade price that does not exist as a separate thing. What does exist is a published pack ladder, printed on every product page, and it is worth reading properly — because on several oils the price per gram stops improving at 50 g, and doubling an order can be worth almost nothing.
₹1.11
what doubling a four-scent order from 2 kg to 4 kg saves you per 200 g candle — ₹278 in total across 250 candles. Wholesale here is the ladder, not a trade rate · CSI live pricing, September 2026
Quick answers — read this first
Is there a wholesale price list? No separate one. Every rung's price is published on the product page, and the per-gram figure falls as the pack grows — that is the whole wholesale mechanism. CSI publishes no trade account, no discount schedule and no minimum order quantity, and this guide will not invent one.

Where does the price per gram actually fall? Mostly at the bottom of the ladder. On Roasted Coffee the 15 g to 50 g step is a 25.98% drop, 50 g to 100 g another 15.22%, and the entire climb from 100 g to a kilo is worth only 4.15% more. On Chocolate Fudge the per-gram price is identical at 50 g, 100 g, 500 g and 1 kg.

So what does a wholesale order look like? Four proven scents at 500 g each — ₹7,506.40 on the picks below, covering 125 × 200 g candles at an average of ₹60.05 of fragrance a candle. The same four at 1 kg each is ₹14,734.80 for 250 candles, or ₹58.94 each. Twice the cash, ₹1.11 a candle better.

What about more than a kilo? 1 kg is the largest fragrance pack CSI lists. Above it you multiply the listed kilo to get your ceiling, then ask on WhatsApp for a quote. We will not print a number the store does not list.
The short answer
Wholesale is a rung, not a relationship: the money is in choosing the right pack size per scent, not in being recognised as a trade buyer. The ladder is public, so the saving is arithmetic you can do yourself.
Check each oil separately — the ladders are different shapes: Eucalyptus Spearmint keeps falling all the way to the kilo; Mango Coconut is flat from 50 g to 100 g then drops 20.72% at 500 g; Chocolate Fudge never moves after 50 g.
For a Patna maker, buy twice rather than once: the year has two distinct selling seasons — the Kartik fortnight and the winter wedding run into Saraswati Puja. Two 500 g orders four months apart cost almost the same as one kilo and leave nothing sitting through a humid August.
Shop: Fragrance Oils at every rung · Candle Wax · Candle Wicks · Containers · a wholesale quote on WhatsApp.
Where the money stops falling — Roasted Coffee, price per gram by pack 15 gm · ₹93.22 ₹6.2147 a gram 50 gm · ₹230 ₹4.60 a gram down 25.98% 100 gm · ₹390 ₹3.90 a gram down 15.22% 500 gm · ₹1,890 ₹3.78 a gram down 3.08% 1 kg · ₹3,738 ₹3.738 a gram down 1.11% Whole ladder: 39.85% down. From 100 g to 1 kg: 4.15%. Ten times the cash, one twenty-fifth of the saving.
Bar length is the price per gram. Two of the four steps do almost all the work, and both are at the small end. Every oil has its own ladder — this shape is Roasted Coffee's, and the table below shows three other shapes from the same catalogue.
Straight answer
How does wholesale fragrance oil buying actually work for a candle business in Patna?
By reading the pack ladder on each oil and choosing the rung where the per-gram price stops improving — not by qualifying for a trade rate. CSI publishes five sizes on most oils and the price at every one, so the saving is arithmetic in public. The shapes differ sharply: Chocolate Fudge costs ₹3.9648 a gram at 50 g and at 1 kg — identical; Mango Coconut is flat from 50 g to 100 g and then falls 20.72% at 500 g; Eucalyptus Spearmint falls at every single rung, from ₹4.5627 to ₹3.068 a gram; Roasted Coffee does 41% of its total fall in one step from 15 g to 50 g. A realistic Patna wholesale order is four proven scents at 500 g — ₹7,506.40 on these four, enough oil for 125 × 200 g candles at ₹60.05 of fragrance each. Buying all four at 1 kg instead costs ₹14,734.80 and brings the fragrance down to ₹58.94 a candle: a saving of ₹278 for double the stock and double the cash tied up. Above a kilo per scent nothing is listed, so multiply for a ceiling and ask for a quote.
One line: the wholesale decision is per oil, not per order — find each ladder's flat point, buy one rung above your proven monthly use, and keep the cash for jars.
Buying at scale? Eucalyptus Spearmint 500 g at ₹1,652, Roasted Coffee 500 g at ₹1,890, Chocolate Fudge 500 g at ₹1,982.40 and Mango Coconut 500 g at ₹1,982 — four scents, 125 candles' worth of fragrance, ₹7,506.40.

What wholesale can honestly mean

"Wholesale" is the word buyers use when they mean "stop charging me the retail rate". The useful question is which rate they are actually being charged.

There are three different things a maker can mean by wholesale fragrance oil, and only one of them exists here as a published fact. The first is a trade account with its own price list. CSI publishes no trade tier, no dealer rate and no discount schedule, so if a page offers you one it is describing something you cannot check. The second is a negotiated price for a large recurring volume. That conversation is real and happens on WhatsApp — bulk pricing, GST invoicing and documentation are handled on +91 7397976926 — but its outcome depends on the oils, the quantity and the timing, so no honest page can print the result in advance. The third is the pack ladder: the fact that a gram of oil costs less in a 500 g bottle than in a 50 g bottle, published openly on every listing. That is the one you can act on today, and it is where nearly all of the available saving on a first serious order actually sits.

So the practical definition of wholesale buying is unglamorous: know your grams, then buy each scent at the right rung. Do that well and you will beat most of what a negotiated rate would give you on a two-kilo order, because on several oils there is nothing left to negotiate above 100 g.

The mistake: buying the biggest pack of everything to "get wholesale pricing". A maker decides to go professional, orders a kilo of each of four scents, and spends ₹14,734.80 where four 500 g bottles at ₹7,506.40 would have covered the season. On these four oils the entire reward for that extra ₹7,228.40 is ₹278 — because two of the four are flat per gram between 500 g and 1 kg and a third moves by four paise a gram. The fix is to buy kilos only of scents whose reorder rate you can quote from memory, and 500 g of everything else. The pack-size logic at the smaller end is in buying candle fragrance oils online in Patna.

Price per gram, rung by rung

Here is the ladder for seven oils that a Patna maker might realistically build a range on, in price per gram at every listed size. Read down a column to compare oils; read across a row to find where that oil's ladder flattens. Every figure is the listed price divided by the pack weight, at live September 2026 prices.

Price per gram by pack size · seven oils · CSI live pricing, September 2026
The flat point is different on every oil — and it is rarely the kilo
Oil 15 g 50 g 100 g 500 g 1 kg Where it flattens
Eucalyptus Spearmint ₹4.56 ₹4.25 ₹3.54 ₹3.30 ₹3.07 Never — it falls at all four steps
Roasted Coffee ₹6.21 ₹4.60 ₹3.90 ₹3.78 ₹3.74 Effectively at 100 g — 4.15% left above it
Chocolate Fudge ₹6.21 ₹3.96 ₹3.96 ₹3.96 ₹3.96 At 50 g — nothing changes above it
Mango Coconut ₹6.21 ₹5 ₹5 ₹3.96 ₹3.96 At 500 g — the 100 g rung buys nothing
Citrus Lemon ₹5.43 ₹3.40 ₹3 ₹2.84 ₹2.83 Effectively at 100 g — cheapest per gram in this table
Fresh Strawberries ₹7.55 ₹4.25 ₹3.78 ₹3.54 ₹3.54 At 500 g · steepest total fall here at 53.1%
Apple Cinnamon ₹6.21 ₹4.74 ₹4.74 ₹4.74 ₹4.74 At 50 g — nothing changes above it
Worked out above: price per gram = listed pack price ÷ pack weight in grams. Roasted Coffee ₹93.22 ÷ 15 = ₹6.2147, ₹230 ÷ 50 = ₹4.60, ₹390 ÷ 100 = ₹3.90, ₹1,890 ÷ 500 = ₹3.78, ₹3,738 ÷ 1,000 = ₹3.738 — a total fall of 39.85%, of which the 15 g → 50 g step alone is 25.98 percentage points. From 100 g to the kilo the remaining fall is (3.90 − 3.738) ÷ 3.90 = 4.15%. Fresh Strawberries falls from ₹7.552 to ₹3.54 a gram, 53.12%. Across the 55 oils listed at both 15 g and 1 kg, the median fall over the whole ladder is 23.67%; on 39 listings the price per gram at 100 g and at 1 kg is identical.

The pattern worth internalising is that the steepest step is almost always the first one, and it is the step nobody thinks of as wholesale. Moving off the 15 g trial is worth between a fifth and a half of the total available saving on most of these oils. Moving from 100 g to a kilo — the step that feels like becoming a serious buyer — is worth low single digits on four of the seven, and nothing at all on two. If your instinct is that bigger must be cheaper, this table is the argument against it, and it is the store's own pricing making the argument.

Two oils, same shelf, opposite advice
Mango Coconut and Chocolate Fudge are both ₹6.2147 a gram at 15 g and both end near ₹3.96, and the route there is completely different. Chocolate Fudge drops to its final price at 50 g and never moves again — so buying 500 g of it is a stock decision with no price benefit at all. Mango Coconut sits at ₹5 a gram through 50 g and 100 g, then falls 20.72% at 500 g — so on that one the 500 g rung is where the money is, and the 100 g bottle is purely for testing. Same catalogue, same price at both ends, opposite buying advice. Check the ladder per oil, every time.

Four oils, four shapes of ladder

Each of these four does something different with its pricing, and between them they cover a usable commercial range — a clean spa note, a gourmand coffee, a dessert gourmand and a tropical fruit. The tables show every rung, so you can see the shape rather than take our word for it.

1
Fresh / spa · the only one that rewards every step
Eucalyptus Spearmint Fragrance Oil
The one oil here where buying bigger genuinely keeps paying: ₹4.5627 a gram at 15 g falling to ₹3.068 at a kilo, with a real step at every rung. It also has the cheapest 15 g bottle in the whole CSI range at ₹68.44. The page states a strength of "Moderate to strong — clean", a measured flashpoint of 199°C, vanillin content 0% — no discolouration or yellowing in wax, and a fragrance load of up to 10% for soy and up to 6% for paraffin with a 48–72 hour soy cure. A clean, clarifying jar that sells into the spa, salon and hostel-room end of a Patna range — and it is the only pick here where the kilo is a price decision rather than a stock decision.

2
Gourmand · three published reviews, flat above 100 g
Roasted Coffee Fragrance Oil
The best-reviewed oil on this shortlist with three published five-star reviews, and the clearest illustration of a front-loaded ladder: the first two steps take it from ₹6.2147 to ₹3.90 a gram — 37.25 of the 39.85 percentage points of the whole fall — and the entire climb from 100 g to a kilo is worth 4.15%. The page states a strength of "Strong — use a small amount for subtle" effect, a measured flashpoint of ~191–193°C, and 6–10% for soy wax with a 48–72 hour cure and 6–8% for paraffin. Arminder Kaur's review reads "Coffee fragrance is quite strong and feels like yummy". A coffee jar is one of the easiest things to sell to a student and coaching city, so this is a scent where a 500 g rung earns its place quickly.

₹60.48 of oil per 200 g candle at 500 g pricing · ₹59.81 at 1 kg Buy Roasted Coffee
3
Dessert gourmand · flat from 50 g upward
Chocolate Fudge Fragrance Oil
The purest example of a ladder that stops: ₹3.9648 a gram at 50 g, at 100 g, at 500 g and at 1,000 g. Buying the kilo saves you exactly nothing per gram, which makes it an unusually honest stock decision — you are buying convenience and continuity, not value. The page states a strength of "Strong — bold", a stated pyramid of rich cocoa and sweet caramel over creamy chocolate and toasted nuts on vanilla bean and warm brown sugar, and a recommended load of 6–10% for candles and 10–15% for wax melts. No flash point is stated on this page, so none is quoted here. Gourmands like this discolour pale wax more often than citrus does — test it in the wax you sell.

50 gm ₹198.24 ₹3,964.80 ≈5

4
Tropical fruit · the 500 g rung is the only one that matters
Mango Coconut Fragrance Oil
The ladder with a single large step in an unusual place. Mango Coconut is ₹5 a gram at both 50 g and 100 g, then drops 20.72% to ₹3.964 at 500 g and stays there at a kilo. So the 100 g bottle exists for testing only; the moment a mango-coconut jar is in your range, the 500 g bottle is the correct purchase and the kilo adds nothing per gram. The page states a strength of "Strong — bold". It is a hot-weather seller — the jar that moves in a Patna April and May when heavy gourmands stop shifting — which makes it a good candidate for a 500 g bottle bought in February rather than a kilo bought in September.
Size Price Per kg 120g jars @ 8%
15 gm ₹93.22 ₹6,214.67 ≈1
50 gm ₹250 ₹5,000 ≈5
100 gm ₹500 ₹5,000 ≈10
500 gm ₹1,982 ₹3,964 ≈52
1 kg ₹3,964 ₹3,964 ≈104
₹63.42 of oil per 200 g candle at 500 g pricing — and the same at 1 kg Buy Mango Coconut
Do not choose a scent because its ladder is generous. A steep ladder on an oil your customers do not buy is the most expensive kind of bargain: it converts cash into stock you will still be looking at next Diwali. The order of the decision is fixed — does this scent sell in my range, has a jar I poured and cured passed a burn test, and only then, which rung should I buy? Eucalyptus Spearmint's ladder is the best on this page and that is irrelevant if nobody in your customer list wants a spa candle. Choose the scent on your evidence, then let the ladder choose the size.

What a wholesale order actually looks like

Numbers rather than adjectives. Below is the same four-scent range bought two ways: at 500 g a scent and at 1 kg a scent. Both are real listed prices, both are orders you could place this afternoon, and the comparison is the entire wholesale question for a maker at this stage.

Four scents, two ways · CSI live pricing, September 2026
Double the oil, ₹278 of saving, and where the difference really goes
Oil 500 g each Per gram 1 kg each Per gram Saved by doubling
Eucalyptus Spearmint ₹1,652 ₹3.304 ₹3,068 ₹3.068 ₹236
Roasted Coffee ₹1,890 ₹3.78 ₹3,738 ₹3.738 ₹42
Chocolate Fudge ₹1,982.40 ₹3.9648 ₹3,964.80 ₹3.9648 ₹0
Mango Coconut ₹1,982 ₹3.964 ₹3,964 ₹3.964 ₹0
Order total ₹7,506.40 2 kg ₹14,734.80 4 kg ₹278
200 g candles covered at 8% 125 ₹60.05 each 250 ₹58.94 each ₹1.11 a candle
Worked out above: two 500 g bottles of each oil would cost ₹15,012.80 (2 × ₹7,506.40); the four 1 kg bottles cost ₹14,734.80, so doubling the order saves ₹278.00. Candles covered = total grams ÷ 16 g of oil per 200 g candle: 2,000 g ÷ 16 = 125 candles, 4,000 g ÷ 16 = 250. Fragrance per candle = order total ÷ candles: ₹7,506.40 ÷ 125 = ₹60.05; ₹14,734.80 ÷ 250 = ₹58.94; difference ₹1.11. Per-oil savings on the kilo: Eucalyptus Spearmint (₹3.304 − ₹3.068) × 1,000 = ₹236; Roasted Coffee (₹3.78 − ₹3.738) × 1,000 = ₹42; Chocolate Fudge and Mango Coconut ₹0 each.

Now put the ₹7,228.40 difference next to what else it buys: at ₹47.20 each, 153 more amber jars, or twelve kilos of Luxury Soy Wax Chunks at ₹599. For a maker whose constraint in the Kartik fortnight is finished candles rather than fragrance, that is a better-shaped purchase. The real wholesale skill is not squeezing the per-gram price but spending the same money where the bottleneck is.

1
Convert your season into grams before you look at any priceDecide the candle size and the load first. At 8%, a 200 g candle needs 16 g of oil and a 120 g jar needs 9.6 g. Three hundred 200 g candles is 4.8 kg of oil across the range — write that number down before a single product page is open.
2
Split the grams by scent using last season's mix, not your tasteIf one scent was 40% of what you sold, it gets 40% of the grams. This is the step that stops a wholesale order becoming a wish list. If you have no last season, split evenly and buy smaller rungs — you are still testing whether you know it.
3
Find each oil's flat point on its own pageDivide each listed price by its pack weight and look for where the figure stops moving. Buy at the flat point if your grams justify it, and one rung below if they do not. Never buy above the flat point for price reasons — above it, you are only buying stock.
4
Check stock at the rung you want, not just on the listingAvailability is per size. Across the range, 75 of 82 listings with a 500 g size are in stock and 87 of 104 with a kilo, so a rung you want occasionally is not there. If your rung is out, buy two of the rung below rather than a scent you have not tested.
5
Ask for the invoice and any documentation with the orderGST invoicing, an SDS or IFRA documentation for a specific oil are handled on WhatsApp, per order and per oil. Ask at the time of ordering. If you are also going above a kilo on any scent, that is the same conversation.
The CSI principle
Wholesale is not a price you are given. It is a rung you choose with your own arithmetic.
Every price on the ladder is published, which means the discount is not a favour and cannot be withheld — but it also means there is no hidden tier waiting for the right question. The maker who works out their grams, finds each oil's flat point and stops there will beat the maker who simply buys the biggest bottle, every single season.

Above a kilo: multiply, then ask

This is where supplier pages usually start inventing things, so here is the exact position. Across the fragrance range, 1 kg is the largest pack CSI lists. There is no 5 kg or 10 kg fragrance listing, no published bulk discount schedule, no published minimum order quantity and no published lead time.

In practice: up to a kilo of any one oil, the listed price is the price. Above a kilo you build the quantity from the largest listed packs and treat the total as a ceiling — 2.5 kg of Roasted Coffee is two 1 kg bottles plus a 500 g bottle, ₹3,738 + ₹3,738 + ₹1,890 = ₹9,366. That figure is what you would pay if nothing were negotiated, so it is what to budget against and what a quote has to beat. The quote itself depends on the oils, the quantity and the timing, and no page here will guess it.

Above the listed kilo · the honest position
What to send, and what you will and will not be told before you send it
Your requirement Built from listed packs Listed-price ceiling What to do
2.5 kg Roasted Coffee 2 × 1 kg + 1 × 500 g ₹9,366 Order at listed prices, or send the line for a quote
3 kg Eucalyptus Spearmint 3 × 1 kg ₹9,204 Same — and note this oil still improves at the kilo
5 kg of one oil 5 × 1 kg Multiply the listed kilo Ask for a quote — recurring volume is a conversation, not a page
A monthly standing order Not listed as a service Not published Ask, with your monthly grams per scent and your invoicing needs
A named minimum order quantity None published — Do not assume one exists either way; ask

When you do message, send the things that let a quote be answered properly rather than a question that takes four exchanges: the oil names, the quantity in grams or kilos per oil, whether this is one-off or recurring, whether you need a GST invoice, and the week you need it in hand. Five lines. The bulk ordering walkthrough for Patna covers the full procurement sequence, and bulk supply for Patna businesses covers production-scale quantities.

Above a kilo per scent, or ordering every month? 1 kg is the largest listed pack — multiply it for your ceiling, then send us the oils, the grams and the week you need them. Bulk pricing, GST invoicing and documentation are handled on WhatsApp.

What holding four kilos costs you

A kilo on a shelf is not saving you money. It is money, sitting on a shelf, in a city with a monsoon.

The per-gram table is only half the decision. The other half is what happens to ₹14,734.80 of fragrance between the day it arrives and the day it becomes candles — and in Patna that depends on which four months you chose. The city gives a candle maker two clear selling seasons: the Kartik fortnight, with Diwali on 8 November 2026 and Chhath inside the same fortnight, and then a long winter run of weddings into Makar Sankranti and Saraswati Puja. Between them sits a hot, slow April to June, and before them a humid monsoon.

That shape argues for ordering twice rather than once. Two 500 g orders — one in early October for the Kartik fortnight, one in December or January for the wedding and Saraswati Puja run — cost ₹15,012.80 against ₹14,734.80 for four kilos bought at once. The difference is ₹278, and what you get for it is nothing sitting through August, a second chance to change the mix after the festive season has told you what sold, and half the cash released four months later.

One order or two · the same four scents
What each approach actually costs, in cash and in risk
Four kilos, bought once Two 500 g rounds, four months apart
Cash out ₹14,734.80 in one go ₹7,506.40 now, ₹7,506.40 later — ₹15,012.80 total
Cost of the choice — ₹278, or ₹1.11 a candle
Oil on the shelf in a humid August Whatever the festive season did not use Nothing, if you time the rounds to the seasons
Ability to change the mix Fixed until the bottles are empty Re-weighted after the festive season has voted
Best for A scent whose monthly reorder rate you can quote from memory Everything else, and every new scent

On storage itself, be careful what you believe. No CSI fragrance page states a shelf life, a storage temperature or a storage instruction of any kind — not one of them — so nobody, including us, can tell you how long a bottle "lasts" on the authority of a specification. What can be said as ordinary workshop practice: keep bottles upright and capped tight, off the floor and out of direct sun, write the opening date on each one, and use the oldest bottle first. In a Patna monsoon the thing that actually degrades is rarely the oil — it is the carton it sits in, the label stock beside it and the wicks in the open box next to it.

Do not buy the festive quantity and the summer quantity in the same order. They are different scents and they are five months apart. A gourmand coffee or a spiced gourmand bought for the Kartik fortnight will still be in the bottle in May, when what is selling is citrus and mango-coconut; a kilo of mango coconut bought in October is a kilo doing nothing until March. Match the order to the season in front of you, and let the two selling peaks Patna actually has set the two order dates. Planning the inventory side properly: how to plan fragrance inventory before the festive season.
Paying ₹278 to keep half your fragrance budget until January is not a loss. It is the cheapest option you will be offered all year.

Why trust this guide

CANDLEMAKINGSUPPLIESINDIA supplies raw materials. We do not sell finished candles, and we are not a manufacturer of wax or fragrance oil. A page written to maximise this month's invoice would tell you the kilo is the wholesale rung. Our own published prices say otherwise on four of the seven oils in the table above, and pretending not to notice would cost us the trust of exactly the buyers who reorder for years.

Every price here is live CSI stock in September 2026 and links to the product page, where the current price always takes precedence. Every per-gram figure is a listed pack price divided by its pack weight, and the working is shown. Stated strengths, loads, cure times, vanillin figures and flash points appear only where the product page states them — measured flash points are quoted for Eucalyptus Spearmint and Roasted Coffee; Chocolate Fudge and Mango Coconut state none, so none is given. No page states a shelf life or storage instruction, so the storage guidance here is ordinary workshop practice rather than a specification.

There is no published wholesale tier, discount schedule, minimum order quantity or lead time, and 1 kg is the largest fragrance pack listed. Frequently asked questions

Does CSI offer wholesale prices on candle fragrance oils?
There is no separate wholesale price list, trade account or published discount schedule. What exists is a published pack ladder: the price per gram falls as the pack grows, and every rung's price is on the product page. For recurring volumes or anything above the listed 1 kg pack, bulk pricing is handled on WhatsApp at +91 7397976926 — and because that depends on the oils, the quantity and the timing, no figure for it is published or implied here.
Is 1 kg of fragrance oil cheaper per gram than 500 g?
Sometimes, and often by very little. On Chocolate Fudge and Mango Coconut the per-gram price is identical at 500 g and 1 kg. On Roasted Coffee the kilo saves ₹42 over two 500 g bottles; on Eucalyptus Spearmint it saves ₹236. Across 39 listings the price per gram at 100 g and at 1 kg is exactly the same. Check the specific oil.
How much fragrance oil should a small candle business order at a time?
Work in grams first: at an 8% load a 200 g candle takes 16 g of oil and a 120 g jar takes 9.6 g, so 125 candles of 200 g need 2 kg across the range. Split those grams by last season's sales mix, then buy each scent at its flat point. For most makers that means 500 g of the two or three proven sellers and 100 g of anything still being tested — not a kilo of everything.
What is the cheapest candle fragrance oil per gram at CSI?
Of the oils in this guide, Citrus Lemon at ₹2.832 a gram in the 1 kg bottle — ₹45.31 of fragrance in a 200 g candle at 8%. Eucalyptus Spearmint and British Rose both reach ₹3.068 a gram at a kilo. Cheapest per gram is not the same as cheapest per candle sold: a scent nobody reorders is expensive at any price per gram.
Can I get 5 kg of one fragrance oil delivered to Patna?
Not as a listed pack — 1 kg is the largest size CSI lists for fragrance oils. You can order five 1 kg bottles at listed prices, and that total is your ceiling; for a recurring 5 kg requirement, send the oil names, the kilos per oil, whether it repeats, your invoicing needs and the week you need it, to +91 7397976926. CSI ships across India and takes bulk orders on that line. No lead time, courier or delivery window is published, so plan with margin.
Should a Patna maker order once a year or twice?
Twice, on these numbers. The city has two selling seasons — the Kartik fortnight around Diwali on 8 November 2026, with Chhath inside the same fortnight, and the winter wedding run into Makar Sankranti and Saraswati Puja. Two 500 g rounds cost ₹15,012.80 against ₹14,734.80 for four kilos at once: ₹278, or ₹1.11 a candle, to keep half your budget until January and leave nothing on the shelf through a humid August.
Buy the rung, not the reputation
Four proven scents at 500 g: ₹7,506.40, 125 candles' worth of fragrance, ₹60.05 a candle.
Eucalyptus Spearmint 500 g ₹1,652 (₹3.304 a gram), Roasted Coffee 500 g ₹1,890 (₹3.78), Chocolate Fudge 500 g ₹1,982.40 (₹3.9648, flat from 50 g) and Mango Coconut 500 g ₹1,982 (₹3.964). Doubling all four to a kilo each costs ₹14,734.80 and saves ₹278. Above a kilo per scent, ask for a quote — bulk pricing, GST invoicing and documentation on WhatsApp.

Arithmetic: price per gram = pack price ÷ grams; Roasted Coffee ₹6.2147, ₹4.60, ₹3.90, ₹3.78, ₹3.738 a gram, total fall 39.85%, step falls 25.98%, 15.22%, 3.08% and 1.11%, and 4.15% remaining from 100 g to 1 kg; Fresh Strawberries falls 53.12% overall; Mango Coconut falls 20.72% from 100 g to 500 g; across the 55 oils listed at both 15 g and 1 kg the median total fall is 23.67%, and on 39 listings the per-gram price at 100 g equals the price at 1 kg. Four-scent order: 500 g each ₹1,652 + ₹1,890 + ₹1,982.40 + ₹1,982 = ₹7,506.40 for 2 kg; 1 kg each ₹3,068 + ₹3,738 + ₹3,964.80 + ₹3,964 = ₹14,734.80 for 4 kg; two 500 g rounds ₹15,012.80; saving ₹278.00. Load is a percentage of the finished candle, so a 200 g candle at 8% is 184 g wax + 16 g oil and a 120 g jar is 110.4 g wax + 9.6 g oil; candles = grams ÷ 16, so 2 kg covers 125 and 4 kg covers 250; fragrance per candle ₹7,506.40 ÷ 125 = ₹60.05 and ₹14,734.80 ÷ 250 = ₹58.94, a difference of ₹1.11. Ceilings above the listed kilo: 2.5 kg Roasted Coffee ₹3,738 + ₹3,738 + ₹1,890 = ₹9,366; 3 kg Eucalyptus Spearmint 3 × ₹3,068 = ₹9,204. Stock counts: 75 of 82 listings with a 500 g size and 87 of 104 with a 1 kg size have that size in stock. Stated specifications as published: Eucalyptus Spearmint strength "Moderate to strong — clean", flashpoint 199°C, vanillin 0%, up to 10% for soy and up to 6% for paraffin with a 48–72 hour soy cure; Roasted Coffee strength "Strong — use a small amount for subtle", flashpoint ~191–193°C, 6–10% soy with a 48–72 hour cure and 6–8% paraffin; Chocolate Fudge strength "Strong — bold", 6–10% for candles and 10–15% for wax melts, no flash point stated; Mango Coconut strength "Strong — bold". 1 kg is the largest listed fragrance pack; no wholesale tier, discount schedule, minimum order quantity or lead time is published; no page states a shelf life or storage instruction. Dates: Diwali 2026 is 8 November; Chhath is observed on the sixth day of the bright half of Kartik, inside the same fortnight.
