Quick answers — read this first
Can one supplier cover wax, wicks, fragrance oils and jars? Yes. CSI's wax collection holds 15 products, the fragrance collection 92, wicks 7 and containers 80, alongside dyes, moulds, melters, care labels and shipping boxes.What can't it cover? CSI does not list candle-making machines, UV inhibitor, a wick sold as pre-tabbed, soy wax in 25 kg or 100 kg packs, fragrance oil above 1 kg, 1 kg dye or custom-printed product labels. Larger quantities of listed products are quoted on WhatsApp.
Is one supplier always better? Not automatically. You gain one delivery, one invoice and one conversation; you give up picking the cheapest option per line and you concentrate supply risk. At production volume, most makers find the trade worth it — with a safety stock.
How do I switch without ruining my candles? In order of risk: labels and packaging first, jars and wicks after a burn test, fragrance oils one scent at a time, wax last with a full cured batch.

I buy wax, wicks, fragrance oils and jars from different suppliers. Can I move all of it to one candle raw material supplier?
Yes for the four lines you buy today, and you should seriously consider it once you are producing every month. CSI lists all four in one store: soy, coconut-soy, pillar, paraffin and gel waxes up to 10 kg bags (and a 50 kg pack of Natural Soy Pearl Wax); fragrance oils from 15g to 1 kg; Eco Candle Wicks and cotton braided wicks to 1,000; and jars such as the 150 g Clear Glass Jar with Golden Lid — plus dyes, moulds, care-label rolls, shipping boxes and melters. "Everything" has limits, and they are worth knowing before you close an account: CSI does not list candle-making machines, UV inhibitor, a wick sold as pre-tabbed, soy wax above 10 kg bags (bar that 50 kg pack), oil above 1 kg or 1 kg dye. What you gain is one freight bill, one GST invoice, one place to ask for MSDS and IFRA documentation, and a pour day that no longer waits on the slowest of four deliveries. What you give up is cherry-picking each line and spreading supply risk — so hold safety stock of your core wax. What four suppliers are really costing you
Nobody chooses four suppliers. It happens one good deal at a time, and the costs arrive later, on pour day.
Most makers end up with several suppliers for sensible reasons: one had the jar you wanted, another had a scent nobody else carried, a third was cheapest on wax the week you started. Each choice was right on its own. Together they build a process where a single candle depends on four separate orders arriving, four invoices matching, and four product lines staying unchanged at four businesses you don't control.
Consolidating is not automatically better, and a one-stop supplier has real downsides. The honest comparison looks like this:

Read down the right-hand column and the pattern is clear. The one-supplier advantages are operational: fewer deliveries, fewer invoices, one date, one conversation. The four-supplier advantages are price-per-line and resilience. At hobby volume the price advantage often wins. At production volume — when a missing jar box idles a day of pouring — the operational advantages usually do, and the resilience gap is closed with safety stock rather than extra suppliers. The hidden cost: compatibility nobody owns. A wick tested with one supplier's wax can behave differently in another's, and a jar's hot-pour limit only matters next to a wax's pour temperature. With four suppliers, nobody sees both sides. On one store you can at least read the two pages together — the Eco Soy CSI 400 page names Eco Wicks as its recommended wick, and the 150 g Clear Glass Jar page states a hot-pour limit of 85°C. You still burn-test; you just start from stated numbers.

For the four lines you asked about, coverage is complete at production scale. The limits sit in pack size rather than product type: wax stops at 10 kg bags for most soy waxes, oils at 1 kg, jars mostly at 20-packs with a few at 100. What CSI doesn't list — and what to do about each
A supplier's gap list is more useful than its product list. It tells you exactly where your second phone number is still needed.

The mistake: closing an account before checking the gap list. A maker consolidates, cancels the old wick supplier, then discovers the pre-tabbed wick their process relied on isn't listed anywhere on the new store. Production stops while they retool. Before you close any account, write down every SKU that supplier sends you, match each to a listed CSI product or to this table, and keep the old supplier for anything on the right-hand column until the replacement has passed a burn test.
Two further notes. Listings can be sold out at any moment — Soy Wax 464 Pellets, for example, are currently sold out while the CSI 464 flake form is available — so standardise on products that are in stock, and check the page before each order. And many jar pages state capacity in millilitres rather than grams: 200 ml is not 200 g, so weigh one filled jar before you move a candle size to a new jar.
Which lines are safe to switch first
Consolidation fails when it is treated as one decision. It is really four or five decisions with very different risks. A new care label cannot change how a candle burns. A new wax changes almost everything. Sequence the switch by risk and you keep selling the same candle while your buying changes underneath it.

The week numbers are illustrative — a small range can move in a month, a thirty-scent range may take a season. What matters is the order: by the time you test a new wax, every other component in the candle is already from the new supplier and already proven, so the wax is the only variable left.

Its page states fragrance goes in at 80–90°C (85°C), a gentle two-minute stir, then a direct pour, and it names Eco Wicks as the recommended wick — a stated pairing within one supplier's range. No maximum fragrance load is stated, so hold the load your own tests proved. One practical cross-check: the 150 g Clear Glass Jar below states a hot-pour limit of 85°C, so read your thermometer before pouring and let the wax come down to the jar's stated limit if it is above it.

With six published reviews, the most-reviewed candle fragrance oil in the range, and a sensible first scent to compare against your current supplier's lavender. Akansha writes "Hot throw is also very good after burn candle", and Priyanka Purohit "Cold through and hot though both are perfect" — customer experiences, not lab results, so run your own blind comparison. Look at the shares, because they change how you should think about consolidation. In this basket the jar line is 44% of the order, wax 27% and oil 24%. The supplier who carries your jar carries almost half your spend — so if your current jar comes from a specialist glass supplier and you love it, that is the line to test most carefully, and possibly the one to keep. Ask for freight on the whole basket, then compare

Frequently asked questions
Can I buy all my candle-making supplies from one supplier in India?
For the core of a container-candle business, yes. CSI lists wax to 10 kg bags, fragrance oils to 1 kg, wicks to 1,000, jars to 100-packs, plus dyes, moulds, care labels, shipping boxes and melters. It does not list candle-making machines, UV inhibitor, wicks sold as pre-tabbed, 25 or 100 kg soy packs, 5 or 10 kg oil packs, 1 kg dye or custom printed labels. Plan a second source for anything on that list your process genuinely needs.
Is it cheaper to buy candle supplies from one supplier or several?
On listed prices, several suppliers can win line by line, because you pick the lowest price for each. One supplier usually wins on freight, invoices and pour-day readiness, because the whole basket arrives on one order. Add last month's freight across all your suppliers, then ask for freight on the same basket as one order, and compare landed cost per candle. Larger recurring orders at CSI are quoted on WhatsApp; no discount is promised here.
Will my candles change if I switch suppliers?
They can, depending on the line. Labels and boxes: no. Jars: only if diameter or capacity changes. Wicks: possibly, so burn old and new side by side. Fragrance oils: often — the same scent name from two suppliers is not the same oil. Wax: almost certainly something changes — load limit, temperatures, finish or wick size. Switch in that order and test each line before moving the next.
How do I switch fragrance oil suppliers without losing my bestselling scent?
Don't start with the bestseller. Move your slowest-selling scent first, then work up. For each, buy a 50 g or 100 g bottle, pour it beside your current oil at the same load, wax, wick and jar, cure both 14 days and compare cold and hot throw blind. Only switch when the new oil matches or beats the old one. Keep the old oil for the bestseller until its replacement has passed with more than one tester.
Is relying on one candle raw material supplier risky?
It concentrates risk: a late delivery affects every line at once. Reduce it by holding safety stock of your core wax and jars — a production week or two, sized from your own experience — by ordering on a fixed rhythm rather than when you run out, and by keeping a named source for anything the supplier doesn't list. Some makers also keep a tested backup wax, which only works if it has passed the same burn test.
Does CSI sell candle-making machines or UV inhibitor?
No. CSI does not list candle-making machines for moulding, filling or wicking, and it does not list a UV inhibitor. The closest production equipment it does list is the Electric Wax Melter at ₹21,240 (10 kg) or ₹25,960 (20 kg), the Mini 1 litre melter at ₹2,360 and a 4-nozzle pouring funnel at ₹1,888. For UV protection, source an inhibitor separately and test it in your own wax and fragrance.
