Candle Business Guides · Monthly Fragrance Programme
At 5–10 kg a month the question stops being "which oil?" and becomes "which oils, in which bottles, with which paperwork, every month?". This guide prices a professional eight-scent line at that volume, turns kilos into a bottle plan that doesn't overstock, and sets out the documentation and continuity checks a monthly programme needs.
₹22,423–₹44,846
a month for 5–10 kg of fragrance oil across an eight-scent line at listed 1 kg prices (₹22,422.85 and ₹44,845.70) · ₹4,484.57 average per kg · ≈312–625 × 200g candles at 8% · recurring quotes on WhatsApp · CSI live pricing, September 2026
Quick answers — read this first
Where can I buy 5–10 kg of candle fragrance oil a month in India? From a specialist candle raw-material supplier that sells candle oils in production bottles with documentation. CSI lists most candle fragrance oils from 15 g to 1 kg, with MSDS and IFRA documentation, GST invoicing and recurring quotes handled on WhatsApp.

Is there a 5 kg or 10 kg bottle? No. 1 kg is the largest listed fragrance pack, so 5–10 kg a month is bought as 1 kg and 500 g bottles across your scents — which, at this volume, is usually what you want anyway.

What does a month cost? For the eight-scent line in this guide, ₹22,422.85 for 5 kg and ₹44,845.70 for 10 kg at listed 1 kg prices — about ₹71.75 of oil in each 200g candle at 8%.

How do I avoid overstocking? Split the month by each scent's sales share, round each scent up to the nearest 500 g, and carry the remainder into next month's opening stock instead of buying it again.
The short answer
Split by sales share, not evenly: at 10 kg, a best seller at 20% needs 2 kg while an 8% scent needs 800 g. Equal kilos per scent overstock the tail and starve the head.
Build the core on oils whose 1 kg is in stock: 87 of the 104 CSI fragrance listings with a 1 kg size have it in stock today. A scent you can only buy in 500 g is a fine seasonal, not a safe core.
Keep a document file per oil: MSDS and IFRA documentation on request, a GST invoice and a retained sample per delivery. That is what "professional" means to retailers and corporate buyers.
Shop: Fragrance Oils · Candle Wax · Candle Wicks · recurring quotes and documents on WhatsApp.
The monthly bottle plan — large block = 1 kg bottle, small block = 500 g (need in brackets) 10 kg month · 10.5 kg ordered 5 kg month · 6 kg ordered Lavender · 20% (2 kg) (1 kg) British Rose · 15% (1.5 kg) (0.75 kg) Dark Vanilla Oud · 15% (1.5 kg) (0.75 kg) Orchard Pear · 12% (1.2 kg) (0.6 kg) Woody Oud · 10% (1 kg) (0.5 kg) Fresh Strawberries · 10% (1 kg) (0.5 kg) Apple Cinnamon · 10% (1 kg) (0.5 kg) Blue Ocean · 8% (0.8 kg) (0.4 kg)
The same eight-scent line at two monthly volumes. At 10 kg, seven of eight scents need a kilo or more; at 5 kg only Lavender does, and four scents run on 500 g bottles. Rounding up to the nearest 500 g adds 0.5–1 kg in the first month, which carries forward as next month's opening stock.
Straight answer
I use 5–10 kg of candle fragrance oil every month. Where can I buy professional fragrance oils wholesale in India, and how should I buy them?
At your volume, buy from a specialist candle raw-material supplier that lists candle oils in production bottles, keeps the 1 kg size of your core scents in stock, and can provide documentation. CSI lists most candle fragrance oils from 15 g to 1 kg — the largest listed pack; there is no 5 kg or 10 kg bottle — with MSDS and IFRA documentation, GST invoicing and recurring quotes handled on WhatsApp. Five to ten kilos is 312–625 × 200g candles at 8%, and almost nobody sells that many of one scent, so buy it as a line split by sales share. An eight-scent example — Lavender 20%, British Rose and Dark Vanilla Oud 15% each, Orchard Pear 12%, Woody Oud, Fresh Strawberries and Apple Cinnamon 10% each, Blue Ocean 8% — costs ₹22,422.85 for 5 kg or ₹44,845.70 for 10 kg at listed 1 kg prices, about ₹71.75 of oil per candle. Round each scent up to the nearest 500 g and carry the remainder forward. Build the core only on oils whose 1 kg is in stock — 87 of the 104 CSI listings with a 1 kg size, today — keep an MSDS and IFRA file and a retained sample per oil, and send the whole monthly list on WhatsApp for a quote. Remember the bigger lever: moving 500 candles from 8% to 10% adds 2 kg of oil a month.
One line: buy 5–10 kg a month as a sales-weighted line of 1 kg and 500 g bottles from a supplier with in-stock kilos and documents — about ₹22,400–₹44,800 across eight scents at CSI listed prices.
Core oils in 1 kg bottles: British Rose ₹3,068, Orchard Pear ₹3,738, Fresh Strawberries ₹3,540, Woody Oud ₹4,531.20, Lavender ₹5,221 and Dark Vanilla Oud ₹5,691 — with 500 g bottles for the tail of your line.

What 5–10 kg a month really is

Five kilos sounds like a lot of one thing. In a candle business it is a little of eight things, every month.

The first translation is from kilos of oil into candles and wax, because that is what tells you whether 5–10 kg is a sensible monthly figure for your business or a number someone quoted at you. This series calculates fragrance load as a share of the finished candle: a 200g candle at 8% holds 16g of oil and 184g of wax. Some wax pages phrase load as a share of wax weight instead; pick one convention and put it on every recipe card.

5–10 kg of fragrance oil a month · 200g candles
Candles, wax and annual oil at three fragrance loads
Monthly oil Candles at 8% Candles at 10% Candles at 13% Wax needed at 8% Oil a year
5 kg 312 250 192 57.5 kg 60 kg
7.5 kg 468 375 288 86.25 kg 90 kg
10 kg 625 500 384 115 kg 120 kg

Candles = oil ÷ oil per candle (16g at 8%, 20g at 10%, 26g at 13%). Wax at 8% = oil × 92 ÷ 8. The 13% column applies only to waxes that state that ceiling — up to 13% on Luxury Soy Wax Chunks and CSI 468, while CSI 464 states up to 10%. Those are wax formulation limits, not regulatory limits.

The mistake: treating the load as a fixed fact of the business. The same 500 candles need 8 kg of oil at 8% and 10 kg at 10%. At this guide's portfolio average of ₹4,484.57 a kilo, that 2 kg is ₹8,969.14 a month — far more than any plausible per-kilo improvement on a quote. Settle the load per scent with cured burn tests, and only raise it where the throw needs it; the method is in what fragrance load to use for floral, woody and gourmand oils.

Where to buy professional fragrance oils at 5–10 kg a month

"Professional" in a supplier conversation usually means three things: the oil is made to be used in candles, the same product can be reordered in production quantities, and the documents that retailers and corporate buyers ask for are available. Several kinds of source can meet those tests at different volumes. The honest fit at 5–10 kg a month looks like this — the full comparison of channels is in where professional candle brands buy fragrance oils.

Sourcing channels at 5–10 kg a month · general guidance, no names
Which kinds of supplier fit a monthly multi-scent programme, and what to check with each
Channel Fit at 5–10 kg a month What to check
Specialist candle raw-material supplier Usually the natural fit: candle oils in sampling sizes up to 1 kg, alongside wax and wicks 1 kg in stock for your core scents; MSDS and IFRA documentation; a channel for recurring quotes
Fragrance house (custom development) Worth a conversation for an exclusive signature scent The volume they need per fragrance, development time, documentation — ask; don't assume
Importer or distributor Possible for specific named oils Pack sizes, whether the oil is intended for candles, documentation for the exact batch
Online marketplace Convenient for sampling; harder for a monthly programme That the same seller and the same product arrive each time; documents per oil

Here is how CSI measures against a monthly programme specifically — what can be checked on the store today, and where the gaps are.

Splitting 5–10 kg across a professional line

An even split is the easiest plan to write and the most expensive one to run.

A monthly fragrance order should mirror your sales, and sales are rarely even. In most candle lines a few scents carry most of the volume. The example below uses an eight-scent line with sales shares from 20% down to 8% — replace them with your last three months — and prices every scent at its listed 1 kg price, which on these oils is the same as or within a few rupees of the 500 g price per kilo, except British Rose.

Line total 100% ₹4,484.57 avg ₹71.75 avg 5 kg · 312 ₹22,422.85 10 kg · 625 ₹44,845.70
Worked out above: kilos = monthly oil × share; cost = kilos × listed 1 kg price; oil per candle = 1 kg price × 16 ÷ 1,000; candles = grams ÷ 16, rounded. Weighted average per kg = Σ(share × 1 kg price) = ₹4,484.57, so ₹71.75 per candle. Lavender 1 kg ₹5,221 · British Rose 1 kg ₹3,068 · Dark Vanilla Oud 1 kg ₹5,691 · Orchard Pear 1,000 gm ₹3,738 · Woody Oud 1 kg ₹4,531.20 · Fresh Strawberries 1 kg ₹3,540 · Apple Cinnamon 1 kg ₹4,743.60 · Blue Ocean 1 kg ₹4,956. These are costs of oil used; the bottles actually bought are rounded in the next section.

Three things are worth noticing. The line spans ₹49.09 to ₹91.06 of oil per candle, so your scent mix moves your average cost as much as any price negotiation — a month that sells more Dark Vanilla Oud and less British Rose is a more expensive month. Lavender alone is 20% of the volume and 23% of the spend, which is where continuity matters most. And at 5 kg, four of the eight scents need 500 g or less a month — those are the scents where 500 g bottles, not kilos, are the right production pack. How big a scent library a given monthly volume can carry is covered in wholesale fragrance oil for candle manufacturers.

Turning kilos into bottles without overstocking

Nobody sells 1.2 kg bottles. Every monthly plan has to be rounded to the packs that exist, and the rounding rule decides whether you build up dead stock. The rule that works for most lines: subtract the scent's opening stock, round up to the nearest 500 g, and carry whatever is left into next month. Rounding to 500 g rather than 1 kg keeps the tail of the line lean; rounding up rather than down means you never start a month short.

Carry-over in practice · three months, listed prices
What the 500 g rounding rule orders, and what it leaves on the shelf
Scent · monthly need Month Opening stock Order Cost Closing stock
Orchard Pear · 1.2 kg (10 kg month) 1 0 1,000 gm + 500 gm ₹5,608 300 g
2 300 g 1,000 gm ₹3,738 100 g
3 100 g 1,000 gm + 500 gm ₹5,608 400 g
Blue Ocean · 800 g (10 kg month) 1 0 1 kg ₹4,956 200 g
2 200 g 1 kg ₹4,956 400 g
3 400 g 500 gm ₹2,478 100 g
British Rose · 750 g (5 kg month) 1 0 1 kg ₹3,068 250 g
2 250 g 500 gm ₹1,593 0
3 0 1 kg ₹3,068 250 g

Over three months Orchard Pear costs ₹14,954 against ₹13,456.80 of oil actually used, and the difference is almost exactly the 400 g sitting on the shelf at month three (₹1,495.20 at the 1 kg price). Blue Ocean runs ₹12,390 against ₹11,894.40 used, with 100 g left. Rounding does not waste money; it parks a little cash in stock, and the rule keeps that park small. Where it costs real money is when the 500 g bottle is dearer per kilo — British Rose at 500 g is ₹3,186 a kilo against ₹3,068, 3.8% more — so for that scent, lean towards the 1 kg bottle and a slightly larger carry-over.

Check each oil's own ladder before choosing the bottle
The per-kilo gap between sizes varies by oil. On Woody Oud, Apple Cinnamon, Fresh Strawberries and Blue Ocean the 500 g and 1 kg bottles list at the same price per kilo. On Dark Vanilla Oud two 500 g bottles are actually ₹1 cheaper than the kilo. On Lavender the kilo saves ₹19 per kg, on British Rose ₹118. And 100 g bottles swing widely — British Rose is 11.5% dearer per kilo in 100 g, Blue Ocean is marginally cheaper. Read the ladder on the product page once per oil and write the rule on its recipe card.

Four oils that anchor a monthly line

These four sit in the middle of the example line and each has its 1 kg size in stock and a published customer review. They are examples to test in your own wax, not a recommendation to skip that test.

1
Gourmand-woody · premium core
Dark Vanilla Oud
The most expensive oil per candle in the example line at ₹91.06, and the kind of scent that holds a premium price. A customer, Suman Bisht, writes that she is "happy with the smell of dark vanilla" and "obsessed with the vanilla fragrance". Vanilla-led oils are the family most often associated with wax discolouration, so pour a white-wax test and cure it before committing a monthly kilo — the background is in why some vanilla fragrance oils turn candle wax yellow. Note the ladder quirk: two 500 g bottles list at ₹5,690, a rupee under the kilo.

2
Fruity · mid-price core
Orchard Pear
A fruity oil at ₹3,738 per 1,000 gm, and one whose 500 g bottle is within ₹2 of the kilo price per kilo, which makes it easy to run on the 500 g rounding rule. Ranjita Rao used it "in champagne candle and received a very positive review from my customer", calling it "absolutely overwhelming fragrance" — one customer's result, worth checking at your own load. At ₹59.81 per candle it pulls the line average down while adding a scent family most lines lack.

Fruity-gourmand · flat ladder
Fresh Strawberries
Listed at ₹3,540 per kilo in both the 500 g and 1 kg bottles, so the bottle choice is purely about how much you will use before the next order. Two published reviews: Kavitha Murthy — "Absolutely loved it!! Smells so perfect!!" and noting that "Packing is done very carefully" — and Uchu Omoide, who writes "we continue our shopping going forward". A good 10% scent for gifting and summer ranges, at ₹56.64 of oil per candle.

Woody · flat from 100 g to 1 kg
Woody Oud Fragrance Oil
A woody oil listed at ₹4,531.20 a kilo in every size from 100 g to 1 kg, so a monthly plan can use any bottle without a per-kilo penalty. Payal Patel describes it as "Good quality wood fragrance oil with a warm, long-lasting scent and strong performance in candles." At ₹72.50 per candle it sits close to the line average, and woody oils suit the unisex and gifting ranges that keep selling outside festive months.

Documents and the monthly routine a professional programme keeps

A retailer, a hotel group or a corporate gifting buyer will not ask where your oil came from. They will ask for paperwork, and they will expect the candle in March to smell like the candle in October. Both come from a routine, not from the supplier alone. The records below are the minimum a 5–10 kg monthly programme should hold.

Close the month by weighing every open bottleGrams left per scent, written against last month's plan. This is next month's opening stock and your check on whether the sales shares still hold.
2
Plan next month in candles per scent, then in gramsCandles × grams per candle at that scent's load. Shift the shares if a scent has sold above or below plan for two months running.
3
Round to bottles and check stock before orderingSubtract opening stock, round up to the nearest 500 g, and confirm on each product page that the size you need is in stock. If a core scent's kilo is sold out, decide now — 500 g bottles, or the order goes in early.
4
Send one list, and ask for any missing documents in the same messageEvery oil by exact product link and size, quantities, pincode and GST number on WhatsApp. Add a line requesting MSDS and IFRA documentation for any oil not yet in your file.
5
Check each bottle on arrival and use the oldest firstMatch product name and size to the invoice, date the label, take a retained sample, and smell a strip of the new bottle beside the retained sample from the last one. Anything that seems different gets a test pour before production. Store bottles sealed, cool and away from light.
The CSI principle
A professional fragrance programme is the same eight scents, in the right bottles, with the right paper, every month — not the biggest bottle at the lowest price.
The kilo price is one line on the invoice. Sales-weighted kilos, a rounding rule, in-stock core scents, a file per oil and a retained sample per delivery are what make the candle in March match the candle in October.
Running 5–10 kg a month? Send every oil by product link and size, your monthly quantities, pincode and GST number. Recurring quotes, GST invoicing, MSDS and IFRA documentation are handled directly on WhatsApp.

Continuity: build the core on oils whose kilo is in stock

At 5–10 kg a month, the worst fragrance problem is not price. It is a bestseller you cannot reorder in the size you use. On the CSI store today, 104 fragrance listings include a 1 kg size and 87 of them have it in stock; the other 17 show the kilo as sold out. That is normal for any live catalogue, and it has one practical consequence: build your core scents on oils whose production size is in stock, and treat an oil whose kilo is unavailable as a seasonal or a test until it returns.

The mistake: reordering by scent name instead of by product link. Similar names can be different products. The CSI store, for example, lists two "Pomegranate Splash" listings at different prices and two "Spicy Raspberry" listings, one of them sold out. At 5–10 kg a month, one wrong bottle is a wrong batch of candles. Save the exact product link and size for every oil on its recipe card, reorder from that link, and check the invoice line against it on arrival.

Continuity also means planning around the calendar. Diwali falls on 8 November 2026, and festive scents such as Apple Cinnamon need a 14–21 day cure before they sell, so your October oil should be in hand by the time you pour — if your festive kilos are not ordered yet, this week is better than next month. The timing is set out in how early candle brands should order fragrance oils for Diwali, and seasonal rotation in best bulk fragrance oils for candle businesses.

Asking for a monthly fragrance quote — and what it is worth

Listed prices are what anyone pays at checkout, and for planning they are your ceiling. A recurring monthly order can be quoted on WhatsApp; what that quote is, and whether it is lower, is for CSI to confirm on your list — this guide does not assume a discount. What helps any supplier quote accurately is the full picture: every oil by product link and size, monthly quantities, how long you expect the line to run, your pincode and your GST number.

What a price change is worth at 5–10 kg a month
A per-kilo improvement, set beside the load decision, in rupees a month, a year and a candle
Change 5 kg a month 10 kg a month A year at 10 kg Per 200g candle
₹100 lower per kg ₹500 ₹1,000 ₹12,000 ₹1.60
₹250 lower per kg ₹1,250 ₹2,500 ₹30,000 ₹4
Moving 500 candles from 8% to 10% +2 kg of oil · +₹8,969.14 a month at the ₹4,484.57 line average +₹1,07,629.68 +₹17.94
Shifting 10% of the line from Dark Vanilla Oud to British Rose −₹1,311.50 −₹2,623 −₹31,476 −₹4.20 on the line average

The table is a sense of proportion. A ₹100-a-kilo improvement is worth having over a year, but your load and your scent mix move the monthly bill far more than any plausible quote. Settle the load per scent by testing, price the line by sales share, then ask for a quote on the whole list. The quote-request detail for a single 5 kg order is in candle fragrance oil 5 kg wholesale price.

Ten kilos of fragrance a month is not a bulk order. It is eight small promises to your customers, kept every month.

Why trust this guide

CANDLEMAKINGSUPPLIESINDIA supplies candle-making raw materials; it does not make or sell finished candles, and it is a supplier of fragrance oils, not their manufacturer. For a buyer of 5–10 kg a month, that matters in two ways we have tried to be clear about: we list oils up to 1 kg and quote larger or recurring quantities, and the documents a professional programme needs — MSDS and IFRA documentation — are supplied on request rather than assumed. We have also pointed out which listings are sold out at the kilo, because a core scent built on one of them is a problem for you first.

Every price, size and stock status comes from live CSI stock in September 2026 and links to the product page, where current information always takes precedence. Fragrance loads are quoted only as the wax pages state them — up to 13% for Luxury Soy Wax Chunks and CSI 468, up to 10% for CSI 464 — and they are formulation limits, not regulatory limits. Customer quotes are real Judge.me reviews describing individual experiences. Sales shares, the rounding rule and carry-over examples are illustrative.

Frequently asked questions

Where can I buy candle fragrance oil wholesale in India every month?
A specialist candle raw-material supplier is usually the best fit at 5–10 kg a month: candle oils in sampling sizes and production bottles, with documents available. CSI lists most candle fragrance oils from 15 g to 1 kg, with 87 oils currently in stock at 1 kg, and handles recurring quotes, GST invoicing and MSDS and IFRA documentation on WhatsApp at +91 7397976926. No 5 kg or 10 kg bottle is listed.
How many candles does 5–10 kg of fragrance oil make?
For 200g candles, 5 kg makes about 312 candles at 8% (16g each), 250 at 10% and 192 at 13%; 10 kg makes about 625 at 8%, 500 at 10% and 384 at 13%. At 8% you also need 57.5 kg of wax for 5 kg of oil and 115 kg for 10 kg. Only use 13% on waxes that state that ceiling, such as Luxury Soy Wax Chunks and CSI 468.
How should I split 10 kg of fragrance oil between scents?
By sales share, not evenly. In an eight-scent example, a 20% best seller gets 2 kg, 15% scents 1.5 kg, 10% scents 1 kg and an 8% scent 800 g. Round each up to the nearest 500 g after subtracting opening stock, and carry the rest forward. At CSI listed 1 kg prices that line costs ₹44,845.70 for 10 kg of oil used, about ₹71.75 per 200g candle.
Is it cheaper to buy fragrance oil in 1 kg or 500 g bottles?
It depends on the oil, so check each ladder. Woody Oud, Apple Cinnamon, Fresh Strawberries and Blue Ocean list the same price per kilo in 500 g and 1 kg. British Rose is ₹3,186 a kilo in 500 g against ₹3,068 in 1 kg; Lavender ₹5,240 against ₹5,221. Dark Vanilla Oud's two 500 g bottles are ₹1 cheaper than its kilo. Choose the bottle mostly on how much you will use before reordering.
What documents should a professional fragrance oil supplier provide?
For each oil, an MSDS and IFRA documentation, plus a GST invoice with every delivery. CSI provides MSDS and IFRA documentation on request via WhatsApp. Keep your own records alongside them: the exact product link and size, arrival date, a retained sample from each new bottle and a recipe card with wax, load, wick and cure. Request documents for a new oil before its first production kilo.
Can I get a wholesale discount on 5–10 kg of fragrance oil a month?
Recurring and larger fragrance orders are quoted on WhatsApp; whether a quote comes in below listed prices is for CSI to confirm on your list, and no discount is promised here. Put it in proportion: ₹100 off a kilo is ₹1,000 a month at 10 kg and ₹1.60 per candle, while moving 500 candles from 8% to 10% load adds about ₹8,969 a month. Settle load and scent mix first.

Candle maths: 200g candle at 8% = 184g wax + 16g oil (20g at 10%, 26g at 13%); wax at 8% = oil × 92 ÷ 8. Example line sales shares (20/15/15/12/10/10/10/8%) are illustrative; weighted average ₹4,484.57/kg = ₹71.75 per candle; 5 kg = ₹22,422.85 and 10 kg = ₹44,845.70 of oil used; 2 kg extra at 8% → 10% on 500 candles = ₹8,969.14 a month (₹1,07,629.68 a year; ₹17.94 per candle is 4g × ₹4.48457/g). Shifting 10% of the line from Dark Vanilla Oud to British Rose = (₹5,691 − ₹3,068) × 0.5 kg or 1 kg.
