Candle Business Guides · Guwahati
There is no counter to walk into, so the whole order happens in a browser and lands in one parcel. This is the path end to end: which rung to buy, how to build a cart that cannot strand you mid-batch, what to inspect when the box arrives in a humid week, and how to pour the first fifteen jars so the result means something.
₹2,621.82
a complete first order — four 50 g fragrance oils, 1 kg of container wax, twenty wicks, fifteen 70 g votive jars and a thermometer · ₹98.10 of materials per votive · CSI live pricing, September 2026
Quick answers — read this first
Can I order candle fragrance oils online to Guwahati? Yes. CSI ships across India and takes bulk orders on WhatsApp at +91 7397976926. There is no minimum order published and no CSI counter anywhere in the North-East, so the website plus that number is the whole ordering path.

What size should go in the cart? 50 g per scent for a first order — five 120 g jars or nine 70 g votives' worth of oil, for a few hundred rupees. A 15 g bottle is for smelling; it cannot produce a jar you can cure, burn and score.

How much does a real first order cost? ₹2,621.82 for four oils, a kilo of wax, twenty wicks, fifteen votive jars and a pen thermometer. That is ₹98.10 of materials per 70 g votive and fifteen scored results from one parcel.

What do I check when it arrives? The outer carton for damp and crushing before you cut it, then every bottle's name and size against the listing, then one bottle on a scale. Do it in a dry room and open nothing you are not pouring this week.
The short answer
Select the variant before you build the cart: stock is per size, not per oil. The 15 g bottle of Blue Ocean is unavailable while its 50 g, 100 g, 500 g and 1 kg bottles are live — and a plan built on the trial size would have to be redrawn.
One parcel, every variable: oil, wax, wick, vessel and stickers together. If half the recipe comes later, the jar you pour tests nothing, and you cannot fix it with a same-week reorder.
Pour small on the first order: fifteen 70 g votives out of 1 kg of wax gives four scents, spares and a day-7 versus day-14 comparison. Four 200 g candles would answer one question.

Where ₹2,621.82 goes in a first order — one bar, drawn to scale Four 50 g oils · ₹1,164.52 Wax ₹507.40 Jars ₹477.90 ₹354 Wicks ₹118 Thermometer, bought once What the parcel turns into 15 × 70 g votives at 8% · 966 g of wax · 84 g of oil used, 116 g left for round two ₹98.10 of materials per votive · four scents · two burn dates
Fragrance is 44% of the order and the jars and wax together are 38%. The thermometer is the only line you never buy again. Note the spare oil: 200 g bought against 84 g used, which is deliberate — the winner gets a second round without a second order.
Straight answer
How does a candle maker in Guwahati actually order fragrance oils online, and what should the first order contain?
On the website, in one parcel, with the whole recipe inside it. Buy 50 g of four oils rather than 500 g of one: Blue Ocean at ₹247 (stated up to 10% in soy, measured flash point 143°C, 0% vanillin), Honeydew Melon at ₹217.12, Raat Ki Rani at ₹370 (stated 6–10% for candles) and Cinnamon Fragrance Oil at ₹330.40 (up to 10% in soy, measured flash point 193°C, 0% vanillin) — ₹1,164.52 for 200 g across four families. Add 1 kg of Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464 at ₹507.40 (stated up to 10% load), twenty Eco Candle Wicks at ₹118, fifteen 70 gram votive jars at ₹477.90 and a pen thermometer at ₹354: ₹2,621.82. That pours fifteen 70 g votives — 64.4 g of wax and 5.6 g of oil each — for ₹98.10 of materials per votive, using 966 g of the kilo and 84 g of the 200 g of oil, so the winner gets a second round without a second order. Then check the carton for damp before you cut it, weigh one bottle, and log every price per gram on the day it arrives.
One line: four 50 g bottles, one wax, one wick size, fifteen small jars, one parcel, ₹2,621.82 — and nothing in the plan that depends on a second delivery.
Building the first cart? Blue Ocean 50 gm ₹247, Honeydew Melon 50 gm ₹217.12, Raat Ki Rani 50 gm ₹370 and Cinnamon Fragrance Oil 50 gm ₹330.40 — four families, 200 g, ₹1,164.52.

Which rung goes in the cart

Every fragrance listing sells the same oil at five prices per gram. Choosing badly here costs more than choosing the wrong scent.

Fragrance oils are listed at 15 g, 50 g, 100 g, 500 g and 1 kg, and the per-gram price usually falls as the bottle grows. That makes the big bottle look obviously right and it usually is not, because the thing you are buying on a first order is information, not inventory. Four scents at 50 g tells you which family your buyers respond to. One kilo of one scent tells you whether you guessed correctly.

Stock also sits on the variant rather than on the oil, which matters far more when you cannot drive to a shop. Across the range, 92 of 107 listings have a 100 g bottle in stock and only 50 have a 15 g trial. On this cart's own oils, the 15 g bottle of Blue Ocean is unavailable while every larger size is live. Select the size first, then build the order around what you can actually buy.

Per-gram price by rung · the four oils in this cart · CSI live pricing, September 2026
What each rung costs per gram, and what it costs inside one 70 g votive at 8% (5.6 g of oil)
Oil 15 g 50 g 100 g 500 g 1 kg Oil per votive at the 50 g price
Blue Ocean ₹6.215 (sold out) ₹4.94 ₹4.95 ₹4.956 ₹4.956 ₹27.66
Honeydew Melon ₹7.001 ₹4.342 ₹4.354 ₹3.398 ₹3.398 ₹24.32
Raat Ki Rani ₹8.667 ₹7.40 ₹7.00 ₹6.774 ₹6.774 ₹41.44
Cinnamon Fragrance Oil ₹7.08 ₹6.608 ₹5.90 ₹5.90 ₹5.31 ₹37.00
Worked out above: per gram = pack price ÷ pack grams; oil per votive = per gram × 5.6 g, because a 70 g votive at an 8% load is 64.4 g of wax and 5.6 g of oil. Blue Ocean 50 gm ₹247 ÷ 50 = ₹4.94 · Honeydew Melon ₹217.12 ÷ 50 = ₹4.342 · Raat Ki Rani ₹370 ÷ 50 = ₹7.40 · Cinnamon ₹330.40 ÷ 50 = ₹6.608. Bold marks the cheapest gram on each row.

Look at the Blue Ocean row twice, because it is the most useful oddity in the range. Its 50 g bottle is the cheapest gram it sells — ₹4.94 against ₹4.956 at a kilo. The gap is under two paise a gram, which is nothing, but the direction is the point: the assumption that bigger is always cheaper per gram is not safe, and on a first order it is not even close to the most important variable. Honeydew Melon, by contrast, drops from ₹7.001 a gram at 15 g to ₹3.398 at 500 g — a 51.5% fall, and the strongest case in this cart for stepping up once a scent has sold.

Don't build a first order out of 15 g trials. Four 15 g bottles of these same oils would cost ₹434.44 for 60 g against ₹1,164.52 for 200 g in 50 g bottles, which looks like a saving until you notice what 60 g produces: about ten votives across four scents, with no spares, no second burn date and nothing left to repeat the winner. Trials exist to cut a list of ten scents down to four by smell. The order that follows has to be big enough to cure, burn, score and repeat — and for a maker who cannot reorder mid-week, "big enough to repeat" is the part that matters.

Four oils for a first Guwahati order

Four families, four separate commercial answers, and three of the four publish a measured flash point. Per-votive figures assume a 70 g votive at 8%: 64.4 g of wax and 5.6 g of oil.

Aquatic · the fullest published spec in this cart
Blue Ocean Fragrance Oil
The listing to read if you want to see what a well-documented page looks like. It states up to 10% for soy, paraffin and natural wax blends, a 48–72 hour cure before burn testing, a measured flash point of 143°C (290°F), 0% vanillin so it will not yellow white or pale wax, and a structure of sea salt and ozone over jasmine and lily of the valley into driftwood and musk. Two published reviews sit on it. Commercially, a clean aquatic sells into bathrooms, salons and hotel rooms all year, which is worth more in a city with a long wet season than a scent that only moves in October.

Fruity · the cheapest gram in the cart, and the steepest ladder
Honeydew Melon Fragrance Oil
The price-led line of the order, and the one most likely to become a repeat seller in small votives and gift sets. The page describes crisp cucumber and bergamot over honeydew, cantaloupe, green leaves and a hint of strawberry, closing on creamy vanilla and sweet sugar, with an enhanced hot throw claimed for candles, wax melts and tarts. It does not state a load or a flash point, so pour it at 8% and treat that silence as a reason to test carefully rather than as a licence to push. The vanilla and sugar in the base mean it is worth watching in white wax; the page makes no discolouration claim either way.

Night floral · the wedding and evening end
Raat Ki Rani (Night-Blooming Jasmine)
The order's one premium-positioned floral, and the obvious candidate for reception favours and evening gift sets through the Assamese wedding months. The page states a recommended load of 6–10% for candles and 10–15% for wax melts, gives the structure as green stems and fresh ozone over night-blooming jasmine and white florals into soft amber and musk, calls the strength strong, and notes that a little goes a long way. It states no flash point, so follow your wax page's add temperature. The amber-musk base is the reason it survives a humid room better than a thin single-note floral would.

Spice · the festive block, stated at both ends
Cinnamon Fragrance Oil
The single-note spice that carries the Kati Bihu to Diwali to Christmas run, and the one oil here whose page states everything a first-time buyer needs: up to 10% for soy and up to 6% for paraffin, a 48–72 hour soy cure, a measured flash point of 193°C, 0% vanillin with no discolouration risk, cotton or wooden wicks with size tested to the container, and a strength described as strong in both cold and hot throw. The page also suggests blending it with vanilla, clove, orange or cedarwood — a free way to get a second festive scent out of one bottle. Its ladder is flat at ₹5.90 a gram from 100 g to 500 g and then steps down to ₹5.31 at a kilo.

The costed first order

Every line is a listed price at a listed size, and the whole thing is designed to arrive once. The jar choice is deliberate: a 70 g votive is the cheapest way to buy a data point, because one kilo of wax fills fifteen of them instead of five 200 g candles.

One Blue Ocean votive, costed to the paisa: ₹32.68 of wax (64.4 g at ₹507.40 a kilo), ₹27.66 of oil (5.6 g at ₹4.94 a gram), a ₹5.90 wick and a ₹31.86 jar — ₹98.10 of materials. Pour the identical votive from a 1 kg bottle of the same oil and it costs ₹98.19, which is nine paise more, because Blue Ocean's 50 g bottle is its cheapest gram. Fifteen votives use 966 g of the 1 kg wax bag and 84 g of the 200 g of oil, leaving 116 g — enough to repeat the winning scent twenty more times before you order again.

Buy the jars with the wax, always
Vessels and wax are one decision, not two. Fifteen votives need 966 g of wax, so the 1 kg bag is exactly right and a 500 g bag would strand you three jars short. Get this wrong in either direction and the fix is a second parcel — the one thing a maker in the North-East should design out of every order. Most CSI jars state capacity in millilitres rather than grams; this one states about 70 g of wax fill, which is why it is in the cart. Weigh one filled jar on your own scale before you plan a big run around any vessel.

Building a cart that cannot strand you

Five steps, in this sequence, every time. Four of them happen before you add anything to the basket.

1
Write the recipe down before you shopJar, fill weight, wax, load, wick, and the retail price you intend to charge. A 70 g votive at 8% is 64.4 g of wax and 5.6 g of oil; a 120 g jar is 110.4 g and 9.6 g; a 200 g candle is 184 g and 16 g. Those three lines decide which bottle size is right and stop you buying a beautiful oil that does not fit your price. Still choosing wax? Start with choosing wax when fragrance is the priority.
2
Shortlist on the published fields, not on the photographFor each candidate note the stated candle load, the stated cure, the vanillin or discolouration line, the flash point if there is one, and the price per gram at your rung. Where a field is blank — Honeydew Melon states no load — hold 8% and plan a more careful test. Where an oil and a wax disagree, work to the lower of the two figures.
3
Select the exact variant and confirm it is in stockSize by size, not oil by oil. Ten of the 107 listings are unavailable in every size and stay visible in the collection; many more are out at one rung only, like Blue Ocean's 15 g. Write a second choice next to each line before you commit, because discovering a gap after checkout costs you the whole parcel's timing.
4
Add the whole recipe, plus the gap to your floor stockOil, wax, wick, vessel, stickers and any instrument you do not own, in one order. Then top up to the minimum you want permanently in the cupboard, so the parcel leaves you stocked rather than exactly level. Mixing suppliers at this stage means a failed votive tells you nothing about whose variable caused it.
5
Use WhatsApp only for what a cart cannot doQuantities above the 1 kg listed pack, a GST invoice arranged in advance, SDS or IFRA documentation for a named oil, and a direct question about which of two oils suits a jar you describe. Lead with specifics: "2 kg of Cinnamon Fragrance Oil, GST invoice, SDS please" on +91 7397976926 gets a useful reply far faster than "do you do wholesale".
The CSI principle
An order placed from the North-East has to be complete, because completeness is the only delivery speed you control.
Nobody publishes a transit time to Guwahati and nobody should pretend to. What you can decide is whether the parcel contains every variable your next batch needs. A complete order that takes a week beats a half order that takes three days, every single time.

What to check when the parcel lands

Ten minutes with a scale and the product pages open is the only quality control that exists at your end.

Open the box in the driest room you have, before anything else. The checks below take ten minutes and they are worth doing in this order, because the first two can only be done once.

The arrival check · ten minutes, in this order
What to look at, why it matters after a long journey in a wet month, and what to do
Check Why If it is wrong
The outer carton, before you cut it Corrugated board loses stiffness when it takes up moisture, so damp corners and a soft lid are worth photographing before opening Photograph it, then message the bulk line with your order number and the pictures
Glass, unwrapped one jar at a time Votives and jars travel well packed but chips sit on the rim where a lid hides them Count the usable jars before you plan the pour, not after
Every bottle's name and size against the listing Some CSI titles and handles do not match, and some titles carry old shipping notes — the label on the bottle is what you pour Message before opening a seal; an unopened bottle is a much easier conversation
One bottle on the scale You are buying by weight, and your own scale is the only verification you have Weigh a second bottle before you raise it, and record both readings
Wick, sticker and label stock Cotton braid and self-adhesive paper take up moisture fast in a humid room and never fully recover Move them straight into a closed box with the lid on, away from the floor
The log line, same day Date, oil, size, price per gram, and the pack you bought — four months later this is your only record of what you paid If you skip it once you will skip it always. Write it before you pour
Don't open every bottle on day one. The urge to smell all four is understandable and it costs you nothing on the day — but each opened bottle now has headspace and a cap that has been off, and no CSI listing states a shelf life or storage specification for any fragrance oil, so nobody can tell you what that does over a wet fortnight. Open what you are pouring this week. Keep the rest capped tight, upright, out of direct light and off a floor that takes water in the monsoon, and decant a half-used bottle into a smaller working bottle labelled with the oil, the date and the size it came from.
Order number two is the one that scales: the same oils ship in 500 g and 1 kg bottles, and 1 kg is the largest fragrance pack CSI lists. For anything above a kilo, a repeating monthly volume or a GST invoice arranged in advance, message the bulk line.
Ask about a bigger order

The first pour in a damp room

The fifteen votives are laid out to change one thing at a time: four scents across the batch, one wax, one wick size, one load, and two burn dates. Jars 1–4 are Blue Ocean, 5–8 Honeydew Melon, 9–11 Raat Ki Rani, 12–14 Cinnamon, and jar 15 is a spare on whichever scent you like most at cold throw. Odd numbers burn at day 7, even numbers at day 14.

Two humidity rules make the difference between fifteen results and fifteen arguments. Wipe and warm every jar immediately before pouring — a cool glass in humid air carries a film of moisture you cannot see, and that film is where wet spots and pull-away come from. And stick the wicks while the glass is dry and warm, because a sticker that half-holds lets the wick drift off centre as the wax sets, and an off-centre wick invalidates the burn you were trying to score.

Where two CSI pages disagree on temperature
The CSI 464 page states melt and pour at 80–90°C. The Blue Ocean page suggests cooling to 60–65°C for soy before adding fragrance. Both are published; they are not the same instruction. The safe reading is to follow the wax page's stated band, log the thermometer reading you actually took, and treat a stated flash point as a hard ceiling where one exists — Blue Ocean's is 143°C and Cinnamon's is 193°C, both far above either figure, but Palo Santo at 93°C and Gardenia at 98°C would want the cooler number. More on the mechanism in the best temperature for adding fragrance oil to soy wax.

Then cure with lids on, in a closed carton, off the floor, for the full 14 to 21 days that is standard practice for soy containers — the Blue Ocean and Cinnamon pages both state 48 to 72 hours as a minimum before burn testing, which is a floor rather than a finish line. Burn each votive for up to three hours in a closed room with no competing scent, and record minutes to a full melt pool, flame height, any soot or mushrooming, and throw at 30 and 120 minutes on a simple 1–5 scale. The fuller score sheet is in how to test hot throw before launching a candle fragrance.

Don't judge a new scent during the monsoon and write it off. A candle's throw is read in a room, and a saturated room reads differently from a dry one. If a scent scores poorly in August, re-score it in the dry weeks before you drop it from the range — and either way, score it in the kind of room your customers actually light candles in, not in a workshop that smells of four other oils. That is also the answer to the most common complaint a first-time maker has, which is covered in why is my candle's fragrance throw weak.
The parcel is not the order. The order is finished on day fourteen, when a scored jar tells you what to buy next.

Why trust this guide

CANDLEMAKINGSUPPLIESINDIA supplies raw materials, does not sell finished candles, and does not manufacture the wax or blend the fragrance oils it stocks. The order above is deliberately small. We would take more money today by telling a Guwahati maker to start with 500 g bottles, and we are telling you to start with four 50 g bottles and fifteen votives — because a maker whose first order produces a recipe keeps ordering, and one who committed to the wrong kilo usually does not.

Every price, pack and specification comes from live CSI stock in September 2026 and links to the product page, where current pricing takes precedence. Loads, cures, flash points and vanillin lines are quoted only where the listing publishes them, and where a listing states nothing this page says so. No transit time, courier name, shipping rate or surcharge is published by CSI, so none appears here. Humidity notes describe general material behaviour any maker can verify; no temperature or humidity figure is claimed for Guwahati.

For quantities above the 1 kg listed pack, GST invoicing, or SDS and IFRA documentation for a named oil, message +91 7397976926.

Frequently asked questions

How do I buy candle fragrance oil online in Guwahati?
On the CSI website, in one parcel, with the whole recipe in it. CSI ships across India and takes bulk orders on WhatsApp at +91 7397976926; there is no CSI counter in Guwahati or anywhere in the North-East. Choose the jar and load first, shortlist oils on their stated load and cure, select the exact variant and confirm it is in stock, then add oil, wax, wick, vessel and stickers together. No transit time is published, so build your own buffer.
Is there a minimum order for fragrance oils?
CSI publishes no minimum order quantity, so the smallest listed pack is effectively the floor — 15 g on 50 of the 107 listings, 50 g on 79 and 100 g on 92. For a first order that intends to produce a usable result, 50 g per scent is the practical minimum: it pours about nine 70 g votives or five 120 g jars. Quantities above the 1 kg listed pack are quoted on WhatsApp rather than priced on a page.
Is a bigger bottle always cheaper per gram?
No, and this cart proves it. Blue Ocean's 50 g bottle is ₹4.94 a gram against ₹4.956 at a kilo — fractionally cheaper at the small size. Honeydew Melon behaves the opposite way, falling from ₹7.001 a gram at 15 g to ₹3.398 at 500 g, a 51.5% drop. Cinnamon Fragrance Oil is flat at ₹5.90 from 100 g to 500 g and then steps to ₹5.31 at a kilo. Do the division per listing; never assume the ladder.
How much fragrance oil do I need for fifteen 70 g votives?
84 g at an 8% load — 5.6 g per votive, because a 70 g votive is 64.4 g of wax and 5.6 g of oil when load is counted as a share of the finished candle. Fifteen votives also use 966 g of wax, which is why a 1 kg bag is the right pack. Buying 200 g of oil across four scents is deliberate: 84 g pours the test and the remaining 116 g repeats the winner without a second order.
What should I check the moment my order arrives?
Six things, in order: the outer carton for damp or crushing before you cut it, the glass for rim chips as you unwrap, every bottle's name and size against the listing, one bottle on your scale, then wicks and sticker sheets straight into a closed box. Finally write one log line per item — date, oil, size, price per gram. Open only what you are pouring this week; each opened bottle is one you can no longer query unopened.
My first candles smell weak after four days. Did I buy the wrong oil?
Almost certainly not. Four days is not a cure. Standard practice for soy containers is 14 to 21 days, and the Blue Ocean and Cinnamon pages both state 48 to 72 hours only as a minimum before burn testing. Before changing anything, finish the cure, check the wick opens a full melt pool in two to three hours, and re-score in a normal room rather than a workshop full of competing scents — and in a saturated monsoon week, re-score again once it dries.

About this guide: Written by the CANDLEMAKINGSUPPLIESINDIA team. Product recommendations reflect the CSI range; the per-gram arithmetic, the fifteen-votive layout and the arrival check apply to any supplier. CSI supplies raw materials, does not sell finished candles, and does not manufacture wax or blend fragrance oil.

Customer reviews: The six reviews at the top of this page are genuine, published Judge.me reviews left by CSI customers on their product pages. Names, star ratings, dates and products are as recorded by Judge.me; wording is unedited.

Figures verified September 2026: load is treated as a percentage of the finished candle — a 70 g votive at 8% is 64.4 g wax + 5.6 g oil, a 120 g jar 110.4 g + 9.6 g, a 200 g candle 184 g + 16 g; some product pages express load as a percentage of wax weight instead. Prices used: Blue Ocean 15 gm ₹93.22 (sold out), 50 gm ₹247, 100 gm ₹495, 500 gm ₹2,478, 1 kg ₹4,956; Honeydew Melon 15 gm ₹105.02, 50 gm ₹217.12, 100 gm ₹435.42, 500 gm ₹1,699.20, 1000 gm ₹3,398.40; Raat Ki Rani 15 gm ₹130, 50 gm ₹370, 100 gm ₹700, 500 gm ₹3,387, 1 kg ₹6,774; Cinnamon Fragrance Oil 15 gm ₹106.20, 50 gm ₹330.40, 100 gm ₹590, 500 gm ₹2,950, 1 kg ₹5,310. Order: four 50 g bottles ₹1,164.52 + Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464 1 kg ₹507.40 + Eco Candle Wicks Thin (C1) 20 ₹118 + Clear Glass Votive Jar 70 gram pack of 10 ₹318.60 and pack of 5 ₹159.30 = ₹2,267.82 of materials, ₹2,621.82 with the Pen Thermometer ₹354 and ₹2,975.82 with the Candle Making Weighing Scale ₹354 as well. Fifteen votives use 966 g of wax and 84 g of oil, leaving 116 g of the 200 g bought. One Blue Ocean votive = ₹32.68 wax (64.4 g × ₹0.5074) + ₹27.66 oil (5.6 g × ₹4.94) + ₹5.90 wick + ₹31.86 jar = ₹98.10, against ₹98.19 at 1 kg oil pricing. Four 15 g trials of the same oils = ₹434.44 for 60 g. Stated specifications as published: Blue Ocean up to 10% for soy, paraffin and natural wax blends, cure 48–72 hours, flashpoint 143°C (290°F), 0% vanillin, and a suggestion to cool soy to 60–65°C before adding fragrance; Cinnamon Fragrance Oil up to 10% soy, up to 6% paraffin, cure 48–72 hours soy, flashpoint 193°C, vanillin 0%; Raat Ki Rani 6–10% for candles, 10–15% for wax melts, no flash point stated; Honeydew Melon states no load and no flash point; Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464 up to 10% load with melt and pour stated as 80–90°C; Palo Santo flashpoint 93°C and Gardenia 98°C are cited only as low-flash-point comparisons. Jar capacity is as stated on the Clear Glass Votive Jar 70 gram page (~70 g wax fill); most CSI jars state capacity in millilitres, so weigh a filled jar before planning a run. Loads are formulation limits, not regulatory limits. Cure of 14–21 days for soy containers is standard practice. In-stock counts: 50 of 107 listings carry a 15 g bottle, 79 a 50 g, 92 a 100 g, 75 a 500 g and 87 a 1 kg; ten listings are unavailable in every size. CSI publishes no minimum order quantity, no shelf life or storage specification for any oil, and no transit time, courier, shipping rate or surcharge — none of those appears on this page.
