What should I check in a supplier before a commercial run? Range in one cart, stock depth on the day, price transparency, paperwork, technical data, consistency for a run, and responsiveness. The checklist sets out what CSI lists and where the gaps are.
What does a 300-piece decorative order cost? Our three-product example (300 pieces: lotuses, bubble pillars and a flower set) comes to ₹60,073.86 at listed prices, including moulds. The consumables work out at ₹156.59 per piece. The order prices each line.
Does CSI publish a discount or lead time for commercial orders? No. No volume discount figure and no delivery time is published. Ask on WhatsApp with your quantities and dates, and compare the quote against the listed per-gram prices.
The seven-point supplier checklist
Hobby buying is about one product at a time. Commercial decorative production is about a set of products that must all arrive, be in stock together and be documented for your buyer. A beautiful oil is no use if the mould is out of stock, and a good price is no use if the invoice is not GST-compliant. The checklist below is what we would check in any supplier, CSI included. The last column says plainly where CSI has gaps.

Two rows deserve a closer look. Technical data: a decorative maker needs a mould's fill weight, a wax's fragrance ceiling and a dye's dose to plan a run. CSI's data does not include those for pillar wax, moulds or dyes. The practical answer is to weigh each mould's wax fill, run a labelled load ladder, and make shade tests. A 300-piece order as a bill of materials
Here is an illustrative retail order of three decorative products. A: 100 lotuses, scented with Raat Ki Rani and coloured purple. B: 50 Big Bubble statement pillars in Palo Santo, left white. C: 150 small flowers from the 7 Different Flower Mould in Cucumber Green Tea, for spa gift sets. Piece weights are illustrative (100 g, 400 g and 60 g) because cavity weights are not published. Replace them with your weighed fills. Everything is at an 8% working load; no pillar-wax ceiling is published, so this comes from your own tests.

With a 4% working allowance (the midpoint of 3–5%), the order needs 3,245 g of oil and 37.32 kg of wax. For each oil we chose the cheapest combination of in-stock packs that covers the need. That is not always a kilo. For Raat Ki Rani, 1 × 500 g + 4 × 100 g covers 832 g for ₹6,187.00, less than a kilo at ₹6,774.00. For Palo Santo, which is flat-priced, it is 1 × 1 kg + 1 × 500 g + 2 × 100 g. For Cucumber Green Tea, 1 × 500 g + 3 × 100 g.

Of that, ₹12,626.00 is moulds, and the mould counts are illustrative. How many you need depends on cavities per mould and pours per mould per day, neither of which is published, so measure them on a pilot. The consumables (oil, wax, wicks and dye) come to ₹46,975.86, or ₹156.59 per piece on average, before labour, packaging, freight and GST. That per-piece figure is the one to set against your selling price. The moulds carry over to the next order. Dye is one 15 ml bottle for 100 lotuses as a placeholder; the dose is not published, so make a shade test and buy to match.
Planning around gaps
Every supplier has gaps on some day. The difference between a smooth run and a missed deadline is whether you found them before you promised a date. On the pull date, CSI's gaps relevant to decorative work were specific and visible: four decorative moulds (Twisted Pillar, Maple Leaf, Mini Pumpkin, Succulent), the 5 × 7 cm Ribbed Pillar Mould, liquid green and liquid yellow dye, green dye chips, several oil sizes, and seven oils with no stock at all. The David Candle Mould had a single unit. None of that is hidden, and all of it can change.
Three oils for commercial decorative ranges
These are the three oils in the example order. They are chosen for commercial reasons: a distinctly Indian floral for festive and puja pieces, a calm resinous profile for décor pillars, and a low-cost fresh profile for high-volume small pieces. They are not ranked by throw, and we have not published throw measurements. Test each one in your wax and moulds.

Asking for the quote
Once the bill of materials is built, the quote request writes itself. Send it as one message on WhatsApp with each line and quantity, your delivery city and date, your GST number, and the documents you need per oil. Ask for a stock check on moulds and dyes in the same message. No discount figure is published, so compare the quote line by line against the listed prices in your shopping list. That tells you exactly what the quote is worth.
