Candle Business Guides · Raipur · Bulk Procurement
There is no wholesale counter to visit and no volume tier to qualify for: a bulk fragrance order is placed from the same listed ladder everyone else buys from, and anything above a kilogram is a conversation. Which means the real skill is not finding a cheaper source — it is deciding, scent by scent, how much of your money goes to a recipe you have already proved.
₹46,476.32
the fragrance line of a 700-candle Raipur festive and wedding season — 8.24 kg across six scents — bought rung by rung according to what has been tested, against ₹61,932.40 for the same requirement rounded up to whole kilos · CSI live pricing, September 2026
Quick answers — read this first
Where does a Raipur business order fragrance oil in bulk? Online from the same national catalogue, or on WhatsApp for quantities above the listed packs. There is no CSI counter, stockist or warehouse in Raipur, no local wholesaler arrangement and no published wholesale rate — the listed pack price is what you pay unless a quote says otherwise.
How much oil does a real order need? Work from candles. Two hundred 200 g gift candles, four hundred 120 g favours and one hundred 150 g jars at 8% need 8,240 g — 8.24 kg, or 8.65 kg with a 5% planning allowance. That is six or seven kilo bottles' worth, spread across as many scents as your range has.
Is the kilo always the right rung? No. Rounding all six scents up to whole kilos costs ₹61,932.40 and leaves 2,760 g on the shelf. Buying each scent at the rungs that match its requirement costs ₹46,476.32 and leaves 160 g — and it cuts the money sitting in untested scents from ₹12,739 to ₹7,289.
How late can I order for Diwali? Diwali 2026 is 8 November, which is 43 days from 26 September. A soy container candle wants 14–21 days of cure before it is judged, so the fragrance for anything you intend to sell should be ordered now and poured within the next fortnight, not tested now.
The short answer
Convert candles to grams before you look at a single price: grams of oil = candle weight × load. Until that number exists, every "bulk rate" conversation is guesswork, and every kilo you buy is a guess about demand.
Buy kilos for proven scents and small rungs for unproven ones: the per-gram premium for a 100 g bottle over a kilo is often 3–10% on these listings, and occasionally zero. That premium is the cheapest insurance available against a scent that does not sell.
Check the rung above before you commit: some listings have no 500 g, so the step from 100 g is straight to a kilo. On Mint Sandalwood, 600 g costs ₹3,294 in six 100 g bottles while the kilo is ₹4,999 — the extra 400 g works out at ₹4.26 a gram, cheaper than anything else on that page, but only if you will pour it.
Bar length is rupees committed to each scent. The two proven scents take 52% of the spend and 54% of the grams; the two untested ones take ₹7,289 between them instead of the ₹12,739 two kilos would have cost. The ₹15,456.08 difference between the two totals is not a discount anyone gave — it is oil you did not buy for scents that have not earned it yet.
How does a Raipur candle business actually place a bulk fragrance order, and what does it cost?
Start from candles, not from bottles. A realistic season here — 200 corporate gift candles at 200 g, 400 wedding favours at 120 g and 100 retail jars at 150 g — needs 3,200 g, 3,840 g and 1,200 g of oil at an 8% load: 8,240 g in total, or 8.65 kg with a 5% planning allowance. Spread across six scents, that requirement is then bought rung by rung. Two proven scents take kilos: Spicy Cinnamon at two kilos plus a 500 g (₹16,247 for 2,500 g) and Mango Coconut at two kilos (₹7,928). Two on probation take mixed rungs: Mahogany Shea 1.6 kg for ₹7,816.32 and Spicy Raspberry 1.2 kg for ₹7,196. Two untested accents take 100 g bottles only: Mint Sandalwood 600 g for ₹3,294 and Lavish RAF 500 g for ₹3,995. Total: ₹46,476.32 for 8,400 g, with 160 g spare. Round the same requirement up to whole kilos and it becomes ₹61,932.40 for 11 kg, with 2,760 g spare and ₹12,739 tied up in two scents nobody has burned yet. Where do you place it? Online for listed packs; on WhatsApp +91 7397976926 for anything above the listed 1 kg — which is the largest fragrance pack on the site — with the scent names, grams per scent, pour dates and GST details in the message. We will not tell you what a quote will say, and there is no published MOQ, wholesale tier or local counter in Raipur to shortcut it.
One line: convert candles into grams, buy kilos only for scents that have already sold, take the small-rung premium on everything else, and send one complete message for the rest.
Placing the festive order? Spicy Cinnamon 1 kg ₹6,499, Mango Coconut 1 kg ₹3,964, Mahogany Shea 500 g ₹2,442.60 and Spicy Raspberry 500 g ₹2,999 — the four rungs that do most of the work in the plan below.
Everybody looking for a bulk rate is looking for a door. On this catalogue there is no door — there is a ladder, and a phone number for what the ladder does not cover.
Three honest statements, and they are the whole of the geography. First, orders are placed from one national catalogue at one set of prices; there is no CSI shop, stockist, distributor, warehouse or collection point in Raipur or anywhere in Chhattisgarh, and nobody locally is authorised to sell CSI stock as a wholesaler. Second, the published ladder tops out at 1 kg per fragrance oil, on all 107 listings — there is no 5 kg or 10 kg bottle, so a multi-kilo requirement is a multiplication of listed packs. Third, above the listed packs, or for a repeating schedule, pricing is quoted on the WhatsApp bulk line along with GST invoicing and documentation. What a quote will say is not something a blog can tell you, and any page that does is guessing.
That sounds like a limitation and is mostly a simplification, because it removes the two things that waste a buyer's time. You do not have to qualify for anything — no minimum order quantity is published, so there is no threshold to clear before you get the listed price. And you never have to wonder whether someone else got a better rate on the same listed pack: the pack price is on the page. The only lever genuinely in your hands is the one this guide is about: which rung you buy, for which scent, at what point in your own testing.
The mistake: asking for a bulk rate before you know your grams. "What's your best price for fragrance oil in bulk?" cannot be answered, because bulk is not a product. A quote needs a quantity, and a quantity comes from candles: how many, at what fill weight, at what load, by what date. Do that arithmetic first — it takes five minutes with the table below — and the same message that used to get a question back now gets a price. If you have not yet decided the candle sizes, the conversions in how much fragrance oil is needed for 500 Diwali candles will get you there faster.
From 700 candles to 8.24 kilograms
The order below is an illustration at one output level, not a forecast for your business — but the arithmetic is exactly the arithmetic you should run on your own numbers. Three formats, because a Raipur season is rarely one product: corporate gift candles, wedding favours and retail jars. Load at 8% of finished candle weight throughout, which keeps it inside every stated ceiling in the range.

Two observations before you spend anything. The favours are the largest single consumer of fragrance in this plan — 3,840 g against 3,200 g for candles twice their size — because there are twice as many of them. And the whole fragrance requirement is 8.24 kg while the wax requirement is 94.76 kg: the oil is the smaller parcel and the bigger decision, since a wax can be substituted between suppliers in an emergency and a scent your customer has already smelled cannot.
Price the option, not just the gram
The per-gram rate tells you what oil costs; the gap between two rungs tells you what certainty costs. On Mint Sandalwood a 600 g requirement is ₹3,294 in six 100 g bottles, against ₹4,999 for the kilo — so the kilo's extra 400 g costs ₹1,705, which is ₹4.26 a gram and the cheapest oil on that page. If the scent is proven, take it. If it is not, that ₹1,705 is the premium you are paying to not own 400 g of something nobody has bought yet, and it is usually worth paying once.
Two ways to buy the same 8.24 kg
Same six scents, same requirement, two purchasing philosophies. Route A rounds every scent up to whole kilos, on the familiar logic that the kilo is the cheapest rung. Route B buys the rungs that match each scent's requirement and each scent's evidence. Every price is a listed pack price.
Whole kilos against rung by rung · CSI live pricing, September 2026
Six scents, the packs each route buys, and what each leaves on the shelf
Worked out above: listed pack prices — Spicy Cinnamon 100 g ₹699, 500 g ₹3,249, 1 kg ₹6,499 · Mango Coconut 500 g ₹1,982, 1 kg ₹3,964 · Mahogany Shea 100 g ₹488.52, 500 g ₹2,442.60, 1 kg ₹4,885.20 · Spicy Raspberry 100 g ₹599, 500 g ₹2,999, 1 kg ₹5,999 · Mint Sandalwood 100 g ₹549, 1 kg ₹4,999 (no 500 g rung listed) · Lavish RAF 100 g ₹799, 500 g ₹3,999, 1 kg ₹7,740. Route B combinations: 6,499 × 2 + 3,249 = ₹16,247 · 3,964 × 2 = ₹7,928 · 4,885.20 + 2,442.60 + 488.52 = ₹7,816.32 · 2,999 × 2 + 599 × 2 = ₹7,196 · 549 × 6 = ₹3,294 · 799 × 5 = ₹3,995. Route A: 6,499 × 3 + 3,964 × 2 + 4,885.20 × 2 + 5,999 × 2 + 4,999 + 7,740 = ₹61,932.40.
Two details in that table are worth more than the totals. On Lavish RAF, five 100 g bottles cost ₹3,995 against ₹3,999 for the single 500 g — the small rung is four rupees cheaper for the same weight, so on this listing there is literally no premium for buying in pieces. And on Mahogany Shea every rung prices at the same ₹4.8852 a gram, which means the rung choice there is purely about how much you want to own. Where the premium does exist it is modest: ₹5.49 against ₹4.999 a gram on Mint Sandalwood, ₹6.99 against ₹6.499 on Spicy Cinnamon. Ten per cent, once, on a scent you are not sure about, is a cheaper mistake than a kilo.
Do not read Route B as "small is always better". Route B wins here because two scents are untested and two requirements sit awkwardly between rungs. If all six scents had sold out last season, Route A would be the right answer and the extra 2,760 g would be next season's opening stock rather than dead weight. The test is not the price per gram; it is whether you can name the order that will consume the bottle. If you can, buy the kilo. If you are hoping, buy the rung that matches the order you actually have.
Four listings that carry a Raipur season
The four listings that do the heavy lifting in the plan, with every rung and how far each pack goes. Two are festive fragrance workhorses, one is the premium accent at the top of a gifting range, and the fourth is the wax that all 700 candles are actually made of.

Festive spiced · the volume scent
Spicy Cinnamon Fragrance Oil
A warm cinnamon-and-clove amber that does what a festive candle has to do, with every rung live from 15 g at ₹116 to 1 kg at ₹6,499 — which is why it is the scent to hold in depth. Per gram it runs ₹7.73 at 15 g, ₹6.98 at 50 g, ₹6.99 at 100 g, ₹6.498 at 500 g and ₹6.499 at 1 kg, so the meaningful step is between 100 g and 500 g and there is nothing to gain by jumping from the half-kilo to the kilo except quantity. Its page publishes a three-tier note structure and a perfume concentration but no candle load, so 8% is your assumption to prove, governed by your wax's stated ceiling.
₹5,999 a kilo with the complete ladder live — 15 g ₹99, 50 g ₹299, 100 g ₹599, 500 g ₹2,999 — and a fresh raspberry and pink pepper opening over cinnamon, rose and clove. For 400 wedding favours at 120 g you need 3,840 g of oil across the range, and a fruity-spiced scent usually takes the largest share of it because it pleases the widest group of recipients. Note the vanilla and amber base when you choose glass: the page gives no discolouration answer, so check it against a white reference before you commit a pale range.
A fine perfume-grade oriental woody floral for the top of a gifting range: bergamot, grapefruit and pink pepper over jasmine, rose, orris and cedarwood, on sandalwood, tonka and amber. Its page publishes a maximum usage table — 10% for candles — and a formulator tip to start at 7–8% in candles and adjust by wax blend and wick size, plus the shared threshold flash-point line rather than a measured value. At 7% a 200 g candle carries ₹108.36 of oil. Buying it in 100 g bottles costs ₹7.99 a gram against ₹7.998 for the 500 g pack, so on this listing the small rung is not just safer, it is marginally cheaper.

The other half of the order · 94.76 kg of it
Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464 (Flakes)
A bulk fragrance plan is useless without the wax it dresses, and this is the pack ladder that carries a 700-candle season: 1 kg ₹507.40, 5 kg ₹2,537, 10 kg ₹5,074 — a flat ₹507.40 a kilo at every rung, so the pack choice is about handling rather than price. Its page states a fragrance ceiling of up to 10% and gives melt and pour as 80–90°C, which is the number that governs whenever the oil states a higher load or none at all. For this plan, nine 10 kg packs plus one 5 kg covers 95 kg at ₹48,203.
From 26 September there are 43 days to Diwali on 8 November 2026, and a soy container candle wants 14–21 days of cure before anyone judges it — a planning allowance of ours, not a published figure, though many oil pages state 48–72 hours as a minimum and the Luxury Soy Wax Chunks page asks for 48 hours minimum and ideally one to two weeks before burn testing. That arithmetic decides the order of operations below. It also means one thing plainly: at this point in the year, a scent you have not already burned is a scent for the wedding season or for Christmas, not for Diwali.
1
Split the order by evidence before you split it by scentThree columns: proven (sold at least twice, burn test on file), on probation (tested once, or sold in another format), untested. The column decides the rung — kilos, mixed rungs, 100 g bottles — and it decides which candles go into the Diwali run and which go into the wedding and Christmas runs.
2
Order the fragrance first, and all of it at onceWax and wicks have substitutes; a scent your customer has already chosen does not. Place the whole fragrance order in one go — proven kilos and untested 100 g bottles together — so the untested ones arrive in time to be tested rather than in time to be regretted.
3
Pour the proven scents inside the first fortnightFor an 8 November delivery, the Diwali candles should be poured and lidded while the cure window still fits comfortably: 21 days of cure from mid-October lands before the festival with days to spare for packing and labelling. Pour to the recipe on the card — same load, same add temperature, same wick — and do not improve anything during a production run.
4
Test the untested ones in parallel, on three jars eachOne 100 g bottle at 8% is about six 200 g candles' worth, so three test jars is a small fraction of it. Same wax, same wick, same vessel, one variable changed. Score cold throw, hot throw and colour against a white reference, and write the result into the file — that is how a scent moves a column before the next season.
5
Buy the wax in the largest listed packs, secondThe 94.76 kg this plan needs is about nineteen 5 kg packs, or nine 10 kg packs plus a 5 kg. At CSI 464's listed ₹5,074 per 10 kg and ₹2,537 per 5 kg that is ₹48,203 for 95 kg. Wax is the parcel that can be ordered a little later than the fragrance, because a substitute wax is a recoverable problem.
6
Ask for the paperwork while you are still pouringGST invoicing, MSDS and IFRA documentation are handled on the bulk line, on request, for named oils. A corporate buyer in a capital city often wants to see documents before sign-off, and the worst time to start that conversation is the week the hampers are due. File the replies with your batch cards.
The CSI principle
Bulk is not a price you negotiate. It is a bet you size — and the only honest way to size it is by how many times the scent has already been bought.
Proven scents deserve kilos and the small per-gram saving that comes with them. Untested scents deserve the smallest rung that will fill three jars, however good the description sounded.
The message that gets a price
For anything above the listed packs, or for a repeating schedule, everything depends on the message you send. Six lines, and the reply is a price; two lines, and the reply is a question. Here is the anatomy.
The quote request · what to send and why it matters
Six lines, and what goes wrong when each is missing
Line
Example
What goes wrong without it
Scent names exactly as listed
"Spicy Cinnamon, Mango Coconut, Mahogany Shea"
Two listings share a scent name in this range; the wrong one gets priced
Grams or kilos per scent
"2.4 kg, 2 kg, 1.6 kg"
Nothing can be priced at all — "bulk" is not a quantity
One order or a schedule
"One now; likely the same again in January"
A repeating requirement gets treated as a one-off, and vice versa
The date you must pour by
"Pouring from 12 October for 8 November delivery"
The cure window disappears and the whole order becomes urgent late
GST details if the invoice is for a business
GSTIN and registered name
The invoice has to be reissued, usually at the worst moment
Documents needed
"MSDS and IFRA documentation for the three named oils"
A corporate or hotel buyer stalls sign-off while you chase paperwork
One thing to leave out: a request for "your best rate". It is the line that adds least, because the listed price is public and a quote responds to a quantity, not to an adjective. And one expectation to set honestly with yourself — the listed pack price is the ceiling for larger quantities, not a hint about what a quote will contain. We do not publish what a quote says, and nor should anybody else on your behalf.
Every bulk order is two decisions wearing one invoice: how much you need, and how much you are willing to be wrong about. The first is arithmetic. The second is the one that costs money.
— CandleMakingSuppliesIndia
The wax half of the same plan: CSI 464 10 kg ₹5,074 and 5 kg ₹2,537, Luxury Soy Wax Chunks 10 kg ₹5,999, Natural Soy Pearl Wax 50 kg ₹21,240, with Eco Candle Wicks at ₹590 per 100. Bulk pricing and GST invoicing on the same message.
It is worth saying plainly, because the fragrance conversation dominates every bulk enquiry: this plan needs 94.76 kg of wax against 8.24 kg of oil. The wax is eleven times the weight, and at ₹507.40 a kilo on CSI 464 it is about ₹48,081 of material — roughly the same money as the fragrance and rather more of the logistics. Unlike fragrance, wax does have large listed packs: 10 kg on most container waxes, and 50 kg on Natural Soy Pearl Wax at ₹21,240, which works out at ₹424.80 a kilo against ₹450 for its own 1 kg pack.
Three practical notes for a Raipur order of that size. Buy the wax in the fewest, largest listed packs that fit your requirement, because per-kilo rates are flat or nearly flat across pack sizes on most CSI waxes and the saving comes from handling rather than price. Keep it sealed and off a hot floor or a wall that bakes in the afternoon — soy is a low-melting wax and warm storage does it no favours. And order it after the fragrance, not before: if a wax is short you can pour the same recipe in a different one after a burn test, but if a scent is short the order does not happen.
Do not let the wick be the thing you forgot. Seven hundred candles need seven hundred wicks, plus spares — Eco Candle Wicks are listed in packs up to 1,000, at ₹5,900 for 1,000 in the thin C1 size and ₹9,440 for 1,000 in the thick C2. A bulk order that arrives complete except for wicks is a bulk order that cannot be poured, and changing wick size mid-run invalidates the burn test the whole plan rests on. Put the wick, the vessel and the sticker count on the same sheet as the grams of oil.
Why trust this guide
CANDLEMAKINGSUPPLIESINDIA supplies raw materials, not finished candles, and is not the manufacturer of these fragrance oils. A supplier writing about bulk orders has an obvious incentive to tell you to buy kilos of everything. This page works out, with listed prices, why that costs ₹15,456.08 more than it needs to on a real 8.24 kg requirement — because an order sized to what you have actually sold is an order that repeats.
Prices, pack sizes and stated fields come from live CSI stock in September 2026. Where a page states no candle load — Spicy Cinnamon, Spicy Raspberry and Mahogany Shea state none — the 8% used here is identified as our assumption; Lavish RAF's 10% maximum and 7–8% start are quoted from its page. Flash-point threshold lines are described as thresholds, never as measured values. 1 kg is the largest fragrance pack listed, no minimum order quantity or wholesale tier is published, and we publish no delivery times, courier names, shipping rates, local stockists or warehouses in Raipur, because none exist. The 43-day count to Diwali on 8 November 2026 is arithmetic from 26 September; the 14–21 day cure and the 5% planning allowance are our planning allowances, not published specifications.
To price a quantity above the listed packs, arrange GST invoicing, or request an MSDS or IFRA documentation for a named oil, message the bulk line on WhatsApp at +91 7397976926.
Frequently asked questions
Where can I order candle fragrance oils in bulk in Raipur?
Online from the national catalogue for listed packs, and on WhatsApp +91 7397976926 for quantities above them or for a repeating schedule. There is no CSI shop, distributor, stockist or warehouse in Raipur and no local wholesale arrangement, so nobody in the city can offer you CSI stock at a special rate. Orders ship nationwide; we publish no delivery times or shipping rates.
How much fragrance oil do I need for 700 candles?
Depends on the sizes. For the mix in this guide — 200 candles of 200 g, 400 favours of 120 g and 100 jars of 150 g, all at 8% of finished candle weight — it is 3,200 g + 3,840 g + 1,200 g = 8,240 g, or 8.65 kg with a 5% planning allowance. The formula is candle weight × load, then multiply by the count. The same 700 candles also need about 94.76 kg of wax.
Is there a bulk rate above one kilogram?
1 kg is the largest fragrance pack listed on all 107 listings, so there is no published rate above it. A 4 kg requirement is four kilo bottles at the listed price, and that listed rate is the ceiling on what the quantity costs — anything else is quoted per order on WhatsApp. We do not publish what a quote will say, and no blog should tell you in advance.
Do I have to order a minimum quantity?
No. No minimum order quantity is published, and there is no trade tier, business account or credit facility to qualify for. That is why the rung decision is entirely yours: a 15 g bottle and a 1 kg bottle are both ordinary orders. It also means no volume price can be assumed in advance — send a quantity and get it quoted.
When is the last sensible week to order fragrance for Diwali 2026?
Diwali is 8 November 2026, 43 days from 26 September. Working backwards with a 14–21 day cure for soy containers — our planning allowance — plus packing and labelling, the fragrance for candles you intend to sell should already be on the way, and pouring should start within the next fortnight. Anything you still have to test is realistically for the wedding season or Christmas, and treating it that way is what protects the festive order.
What paperwork comes with a bulk order?
On request: a GST invoice in your business name, an MSDS and IFRA documentation for named oils, all handled on the bulk WhatsApp line. Ask while you are testing, not in the delivery week. What does not exist anywhere in the range is a shelf-life statement, a storage specification, a throw measurement or an IFRA certificate or category number — no product page states any of those, and you should not accept them second-hand.

Requirement: 200 × 200 g at 8% = 3,200 g of oil and 36.8 kg of wax; 400 × 120 g = 3,840 g and 44.16 kg; 100 × 150 g = 1,200 g and 13.8 kg; totals 8,240 g of oil and 94.76 kg of wax, or 8.65 kg and 99.5 kg with a 5% planning allowance. Route A (whole kilos) = ₹6,499 × 3 + ₹3,964 × 2 + ₹4,885.20 × 2 + ₹5,999 × 2 + ₹4,999 + ₹7,740 = ₹61,932.40 for 11,000 g. Route B (rung by rung) = ₹16,247 + ₹7,928 + ₹7,816.32 + ₹7,196 + ₹3,294 + ₹3,995 = ₹46,476.32 for 8,400 g; difference ₹15,456.08. Money committed to the two untested scents: ₹12,739 in Route A against ₹7,289 in Route B. Per-gram rates quoted: Spicy Cinnamon ₹7.73 at 15 g, ₹6.98 at 50 g, ₹6.99 at 100 g, ₹6.498 at 500 g, ₹6.499 at 1 kg; Mint Sandalwood ₹5.49 at 100 g against ₹4.999 at 1 kg, so the kilo's extra 400 g over a 600 g requirement costs ₹1,705, or ₹4.26 per gram; Lavish RAF ₹7.99 at 100 g against ₹7.998 at 500 g and ₹7.74 at 1 kg. Wax prices: Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464 ₹507.40/kg, 5 kg ₹2,537, 10 kg ₹5,074 (nine 10 kg packs plus one 5 kg = 95 kg for ₹48,203; 94.76 kg at ₹507.40 = ₹48,081.22); Luxury Soy Wax Chunks 10 kg ₹5,999; Natural Soy Pearl Wax 1 kg ₹450, 50 kg ₹21,240 (₹424.80/kg). Eco Candle Wicks: Thin (C1) 1,000 for ₹5,900, Thick (C2) 1,000 for ₹9,440, 100 for ₹590. Stated loads: Lavish RAF states a maximum of 10% for candles with a formulator tip to start at 7–8%; Spicy Cinnamon, Spicy Raspberry and Mahogany Shea state no candle load, and the 8% used for them is our assumption. Lavish RAF's page carries the threshold line "flash point > 93°C (suitable for alcohol-based products)", which is a threshold and not a measured value. Candle arithmetic treats fragrance load as a share of finished candle weight (200 g at 8% = 16 g oil + 184 g wax). Diwali 2026 falls on 8 November, 43 days from 26 September 2026; the 14–21 day soy cure and the 5% wax and oil planning allowance are our allowances, not published specifications, though many fragrance pages state a 48–72 hour minimum cure and the Luxury Soy Wax Chunks page asks for 48 hours minimum and ideally 1–2 weeks before burn testing.
