Yes — but for the opposite reason to the one you are assuming. The thousand-wick pack is the right buy because a mid-month wick substitution destroys a formula you validated yourself, not because it is cheaper. Per wick, it costs exactly the same as ten packs of a hundred.

what you save per wick by buying 1,000 instead of 10 × 100 · Eco Candle Wicks are ₹5.90 (Thin C1) and ₹9.44 (Thick C2) per wick at every published pack size from 10 to 1,000 · CSI live pricing, September 2026
Quick answers — read this first
Should I buy wicks in thousands? If your own burn testing has settled which wick you use — yes, but for continuity of supply, not a lower price. Eco Candle Wicks are ₹5.90 per wick in Thin (C1) and ₹9.44 in Thick (C2) at every pack size from 10 to 1,000; Cotton Braided Ready Made is flat at ₹12.00. Ten hundred-packs and one thousand-pack cost the identical rupee.

Is it inconsistent to buy fragrance smaller? No — it is correct. The fragrance ladder stops at 1 kg, so sixteen 1 kg bottles already is the deepest fragrance buy that exists. And the per-gram does not reliably improve at the top: on Jasmine Coconut Spa Ceylon it rises with pack size.

Which wick does get cheaper in bulk? One. Performance Wooden Wicks: ₹59.00 each at 10, ₹47.20 at 50, ₹41.30 at 100 — a 30% fall, with 100 the largest pack.

The rule: deep where the item is validated, flat-priced and formula-critical; shallow where it is still being chosen, priced non-monotonically, or specific to one scent.
The short answer
Wicks — go deep, for continuity: 1,000 Eco Candle Wicks Thin (C1) is ₹5,900.00; ten packs of 100 is ₹5,900.00. Identical. The gain is that the wick in candle 1,000 is the one you approved in candle one.
Fragrance — stay shallow, because the ladder ends: at most 15 g / 50 g / 100 g / 500 g / 1 kg. 16 kg for a 1,000-candle month is sixteen 1 kg bottles, bought per scent. A kilogram of the wrong scent is 62 candles you cannot pour.
Wax — buy to requirement, not to pack economics: Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464 is flat at ₹507.40/kg from 1 kg upward, and Luxury Soy Chunks' 10 kg pack is ₹0.90/kg dearer than its 1 kg. Only Natural Soy Pearl Wax has a real break.
Change in price per unit from the smallest published pack to the largest — CSI live pricing, September 2026 0% — no change ◀ cheaper in the big pack dearer in the big pack ▶ Performance Wooden Wicks · 10 → 100 −30.0% · ₹59.00 → ₹41.30 per wick Natural Soy Pearl Wax · 1 → 50 kg −5.6% · ₹450.00 → ₹424.80/kg Coconut Soy CSI 468 · 1 → 10 kg −2.0% · ₹650.00 → ₹637.00/kg Eco Candle Wicks C1 · 10 → 1,000 0.0% · ₹5.90 per wick at every pack size Luxury Soy Chunks · 1 → 10 kg +0.15% · ₹599.00 → ₹599.90/kg (dearer) Jasmine Coconut Spa Ceylon · 50 g → 1 kg +0.24% · ₹7.980 → ₹7.999 per gram (dearer)
Six real CSI ladders, measured the same way. One wick family falls 30%, two waxes fall, two items get dearer per unit in the larger pack — the published disproof of "bigger is always cheaper". And Eco Candle Wicks sit at exactly zero, which is the whole answer to this page: the thousand-pack decision is not a price decision at all. Bar widths are to scale; the ₹5.90 bar is drawn at minimum width to stay visible at 0.0%.
Straight answer
Should wicks go to the thousand-pack while fragrance stays in smaller bottles?
Yes, and the two halves are not in tension — they follow from two different ladders. Buy the wick deep because a mid-month substitution would invalidate a formula you validated yourself, and because depth costs nothing: Eco Candle Wicks are ₹5.90 per wick in Thin (C1) and ₹9.44 in Thick (C2) at every published pack from 10 to 1,000, and Cotton Braided Ready Made is flat at ₹12.00 across the same range. Buy the fragrance shallow because the ladder physically ends at 1 kg — there is no larger pack on the store — and because the per-gram does not reliably improve at the top of it. On Jasmine Coconut Spa Ceylon the per-gram rises from ₹7.980 at 50 g to ₹7.999 at 1 kg. On Jasmine the kilogram is a rupee dearer than two 500 g packs. The one wick that genuinely rewards depth is the Performance Wooden Wick, down 30% from ₹59.00 to ₹41.30 per wick between its 10-pack and its 100-pack. The rest is arithmetic on those facts, run across 1,000 candles of 200 g.
One line: go deep on the wick for continuity because it is validated, flat-priced and formula-critical — and stay shallow on fragrance because its ladder ends at 1 kg, its per-gram does not reliably fall, and a kilogram of the wrong scent is 62 candles you cannot pour.
Before you spend ₹5,900 on a thousand wicks, spend ₹306.80 settling which one. Eco Candle Wicks Thin (C1), 20 wicks, ₹118.00 plus Thick (C2), 20 wicks, ₹188.80 buys you both candidates for a side-by-side burn record — which is the only authority there is, because CSI publishes no wick sizing chart of any kind.

What 1,000 × 200 g candles actually consumes

Every purchasing argument below is downstream of four numbers, and three of them are not the ones makers usually quote.

Take the month as described: 1,000 candles, 200 g finished weight, fragrance at 8% of finished weight. That is a production decision you have made, not a forecast anyone can make for you. Nothing here says you will sell 1,000; it says what 1,000 consumes if you have decided to pour 1,000.

At 8% of finished weight a 200 g candle is 16 g of fragrance and 184 g of wax. State that denominator every time: 8% of finished weight is 16 g of oil, 8% of the wax weight is 14.8 g. Across 1,000 candles the gap is 1.2 kg — on Lavender Fragrance Oil at ₹5,221.00/kg, roughly ₹6,265 of oil. CSI's own catalogue collides here: Luxury Soy Wax Chunks states its 13% ceiling as "of total wax weight". Pick one, write it on the batch sheet, never switch.

Consumption · 1,000 × 200 g candles at 8% of finished weight
What the month eats, and what CSI's published ladder lets you buy it in
Line Per candle × 1,000 Largest published CSI pack What that forces
Wax 184 g 184.0 kg 10 kg (50 kg on Natural Soy Pearl only) Eighteen 10 kg packs + a 4 kg tail. There is no 25 kg sack on this store
Fragrance 16 g 16.0 kg 1 kg Sixteen 1 kg bottles, split by scent. Nothing deeper exists to buy
Wicks 1 1,000 1,000 (Eco, Cotton Braided) · 100 (Wooden) Exactly one pack covers the month on Eco or Cotton Braided
Wick stickers 1 1,000 40 per sheet, in stock Twenty-five sheets at ₹100.00 = ₹2,500.00
Jars 1 1,000 + breakage 100 pieces Ten packs minimum, and the only line where glass losses are real

Two lines deserve a second look. 16.0 kg of fragrance covers exactly 1,000 candles with nothing spare — 16,000 g ÷ 16 g = 1,000, to the gram, and one kilogram of oil is 62 candles (62 × 16 g = 992 g). No wastage figure is published to pad that with, so measure your own loss by weight on one batch. On the wax, Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464 is flat at ₹507.40/kg from 1 kg upward, so 184 kg costs ₹93,361.60 however you assemble it — but its 500 g pack is ₹520.00/kg, so buy the tail as a 1 kg pack.

And here is the pivot of the page: the wick is the cheapest line in the bill and the only one that can invalidate every unit in it. A thousand Eco Candle Wicks in Thin (C1) is ₹5,900.00, against ₹93,361.60 of wax and a fragrance line anywhere between ₹45,312 and ₹384,896. The wax side is worked through in managing soy wax as manufacturing inventory.

What CSI does not publish, and you should not assume
There is no MOQ, slab, rate card, volume agreement, credit term or published lead time anywhere on this store. That cuts both ways: nobody makes you buy a thousand of anything, and nobody is holding a discount back. The only comparison is published price × quantity. For current stock or dispatch timing, ask on WhatsApp at +91 7397976926 and treat the answer as current.

Why the thousand-wick pack is not a discount

This is the part that surprises people, and it is checkable on the product page in under thirty seconds.

Run the comparison the title invites. Ten packs of 100 Eco Thin (C1) is 10 × ₹590.00 = ₹5,900.00. One pack of 1,000 is ₹5,900.00. Zero difference. Thick (C2): 10 × ₹944.00 = ₹9,440.00 against ₹9,440.00 — zero again. Cotton Braided: 10 × ₹1,200.00 = ₹12,000.00 against ₹12,000.00 — zero a third time. Whatever your reason for the thousand-pack, saving money is not one of them, and you should know that before the order, not after.

The one genuine wick volume break, and its ceiling. Performance Wooden Wicks are the exception. A pack of 10 is ₹590.00 (₹59.00 per wick), 50 is ₹2,360.00 (₹47.20), 100 is ₹4,130.00 (₹41.30) — a 30% fall per wick, which the listing itself states as "Save 30%". If you have validated a wooden wick, pack-of-10 buying costs ₹17.70 per candle, or ₹17,700 across 1,000: a hundred 10-packs is ₹59,000 against ten 100-packs at ₹41,300. But the wooden ladder stops at 100, so a 1,000-candle month is ten 100-packs at ₹41,300 flat and a two-month position buys nothing further on price.
The CSI principle
When the price per unit is flat, the pack size stops being a price decision and becomes a risk decision.
A flat ladder removes the one factor that normally pulls against good inventory practice. You can buy exactly the depth your production needs, no more and no less, with no penalty either way. Very few lines on any catalogue let you do that.

The reason to buy it anyway: a wick substitution is not a like-for-like swap

CSI publishes no wick sizing data of any kind. That one fact is what makes the thousand-pack worth buying — and the reason you must not buy it too early.

Stated plainly, because no competitor page will: CSI's entire wick range is described by thickness words only — Thin (C1) and Thick (C2). No jar-diameter recommendation, no burn-diameter figure, no melt-pool width, no sizing chart anywhere on the store. A page that tells you which wick to standardise on is telling you something it has not measured in your jar, with your wax, at your load.

Which makes your own burn record the only authority — an asset attached to a specific product, variant and jar. Swap the wick mid-month and you have not changed a component; you have invalidated the test, and a complaint can no longer be traced to half a month.

The failure this actually prevents. You buy 100 Thin (C1). Candle 101 arrives and your variant is not available that week — not hypothetical: on the pull date behind this page the Eco Thick (C2) 10-wick pack was out of stock while the 20-pack and above were in stock. A variant going unavailable at one pack size is a published fact of this catalogue. So you substitute, and 900 candles sit on an unvalidated wick, mixed in stock with the first 100, with no retained samples to burn when a customer reports a tunnel. The fix costs ₹5,900. If it has already happened, the framework is in the complaint investigation system.

So the pack buys three things, none of them a price cut: one purchase decision instead of ten, one wick specification across the month — what makes one batch record comparable to the last — and freedom from the mid-month substitution, the only wick failure that contaminates a month rather than a batch.

Two notes of honesty about what it does not buy. No lot or batch data is published on any wick listing, so do not assume one pack of 1,000 is one production lot — ask, as you would with wax in mixing two lots of the same soy wax. And no shelf life is published for wicks, so a long position is yours to size. What we can say: a wick is not scent-specific.

Buffer policy differs by material, and flat pricing is why
A flat ladder makes a wick buffer almost free: at ₹5.90 per Thin (C1) wick a 10% buffer is ₹590.00 — ₹6,490.00 for 1,100 wicks, still ₹5.90 each. Carry it. Glass is the opposite: jar packs stop at 100 pieces and breakage is real. A flat percentage buffer across every line is the wrong model because the ladders behave differently — detail in the bulk raw-material package breakdown.

Two customers put the pressures here better than we would, and both reviews are on the store:

★★★★★

Dipali SableVerified buyer · Aug 2024

★★★★★

Manasa GNVerified buyer · Feb 2025
Premium Coconut Soy Wax

The first asks for a bulk discount that, on most of this catalogue, does not exist to give. The second is about freight — the honest argument for the thousand-pack: one consolidated order moves once. We publish no shipping rate, so cost ten separate wick orders from your own invoices. If it is more than zero, the flat ladder makes that saving pure gain.

Why fragrance stays shallow — three reasons, all checkable

You are not being inconsistent. Fragrance behaves differently from wicks on all three axes that matter.

One: the ladder physically ends. Across all 92 oils the variant ladder is at most 15 g / 50 g / 100 g / 500 g / 1 kg. There is no 2 kg, 5 kg or 10 kg fragrance pack anywhere. So sixteen 1 kg bottles is not a "smaller quantity" — it is already the deepest fragrance purchase the catalogue permits. Beyond 1 kg it is multiples of the kilogram bottle, and no slab appears above it.

Two: the per-gram does not reliably improve, and sometimes worsens. This is the finding that does most of the work, and publishing it is against our own interest. Four real ladders, four different answers:

Fragrance ladders · what the kilogram actually saves · CSI live pricing, September 2026
Four published oils, four completely different answers to "is bulk cheaper?"
Oil Route to 1 kg via small packs 1 kg bottle Verdict
Jasmine Coconut Spa Ceylon 20 × 50 g · ₹7,980.00 (₹7.980/g) ₹7,999.00 (₹7.999/g) Small packs win by ₹19. Per-gram rises at every step
Jasmine Fragrance Oil 2 × 500 g · ₹3,922.00 ₹3,923.00 Kilogram is ₹1 dearer than two half-kilos
Sandalwood Fragrance Oil 2 × 500 g · ₹5,026.80 ₹5,026.80 Exactly ₹0 difference. Flat from 100 g upward
Mint Sandalwood 10 × 100 g · ₹5,490.00 ₹4,999.00 Kilogram saves ₹491 (8.9%) — a genuine break

Where both routes exist, the kilogram saves between minus one rupee and plus ₹499 against two 500 g packs — 0% to 6.7%. Set that against the wick's clean universal zero and Performance Wooden Wicks' clean 30%. Three materials, three ladder behaviours — which is why one rule across all of them produces bad orders.

Do not act on the ₹19, and here is why not
Its cheapest published route to a kilogram is twenty 50 g bottles. Scaled to 16 kg you would decant from 320 bottles to save roughly ₹304 — 1.9 paise a gram, or about 30 paise a candle, against hundreds of opened necks and real transfer loss. A disproof, not a purchase plan. Buy the kilogram because it is one container — the wick logic, reached from the opposite direction.

Three, and decisively: fragrance is scent-specific and a wick is not. At 16 g a candle, one kilogram of oil is 62 candles. Commit to four kilograms of a scent that does not move and you hold 248 candles' worth of a material that fits nothing else you make. CSI publishes no shelf life for any fragrance oil; only CSI 464 and CSI 468 publish one, both 60 months in cool dry storage. So the duration of a fragrance position is yours to size, and we will not tell you three months is safe.

A spare hundred Thin (C1) wicks carries none of that: the next thousand candles consume them whatever scent they are. The wick is fungible across your range and the fragrance is not — that asymmetry, not price, is the real answer to the title. Per-scent purchasing is in the bulk fragrance-oil procurement calculator and bulk fragrance oils for soy candle manufacturers.

We would rather sell you four kilograms of a scent you have already sold out of than sixteen kilograms of a scent you are still testing.

The buy-deep / buy-shallow rule

Three tests for depth, one for shallowness. A line that passes all three deep tests should be bought as deep as your cash allows. A line that fails any one should not.
1
Is it validated? Not "does it look right" — has your own testing settled it? For a wick that means a side-by-side burn record in the jar, wax and load you are shipping, because no sizing chart exists to lean on. If not, depth only makes a wrong answer more expensive to unwind. 20 Thin (C1) at ₹118.00 plus 20 Thick (C2) at ₹188.80 is ₹306.80, or 5.2% of the thousand-pack.
2
Is the per-unit price flat or falling?Pull the ladder up and divide. Flat means depth is free. Falling means buy to the step where it stops falling — the 100-pack on Performance Wooden Wicks, 5 kg on Natural Soy Pearl Wax, flat above at ₹424.80/kg. Rising means the big pack is a convenience purchase, as on Luxury Soy Chunks, whose 10 kg is ₹0.90/kg dearer than its 1 kg.
3
Would substituting it invalidate the formula? The test most frameworks miss, and the most important of the three. A wick swap voids your burn record; a wax swap changes everything downstream; a jar swap changes the wick decision. Running out of one scent and pouring another invalidates nothing — a different product, not a broken one. The components that pass this test deserve continuity, and continuity is bought with depth.
4
The shallow test: still being chosen, non-monotonically priced, or specific to one SKU?Any one is enough. "Still being chosen" covers every scent you have not yet sold out of; "non-monotonic" covers Jasmine Coconut Spa Ceylon, Jasmine and every oil whose kilogram saves ₹0. 15 g and 50 g variants exist on many oils — but not all: Mint Sandalwood and Vanilla Orange Blossom have no 500 g, Tobacco Vanilla starts at 100 g. Check the listing.

Consumption arithmetic on a decision you have already made, not a recommendation about how many to pour. Fragrance is split across four scents at 250 candles each — 4 kg per scent, four 1 kg bottles. Jars, dye, lids, boxes and labels are deliberately absent; the reason is below the table.

The line you asked about is the smallest of the four and the only one whose substitution would invalidate every candle around it. Carrying a hundred spares costs ₹590, a 0.35% increase: the cheapest insurance on this page, and cheap because the ladder is flat.

Note too that the wick sticker, at ₹2.50, is 42% of the cost of the wick it holds down, and that the 100-sticker sheet was out of stock on the pull date, so the table uses the 40-sticker sheet. Cite the variant that exists, not the one you remember.

Natural Soy Pearl Wax 3 × 50 kg + 6 × 5 kg + 4 × 1 kg · ₹78,264.00 ₹82,800.00 −₹4,536.00 (5.5%) · the only real break
Premium Coconut Soy CSI 468 18 × 10 kg + 4 × 1 kg · ₹117,260.00 ₹119,600.00 −₹2,340.00 (2.0%)
Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464 18 × 10 kg + 4 × 1 kg · ₹93,361.60 ₹93,361.60 ₹0.00 · flat from 1 kg up
Luxury Soy Wax Chunks 18 × 10 kg + 4 × 1 kg · ₹110,378.00 ₹110,216.00 +₹162.00 · the big packs cost more

That last row is the fact we would least like to publish and the one most worth publishing. On Luxury Soy Wax Chunks, eighteen 10 kg packs cost ₹162 more than 184 one-kilogram packs, because the 10 kg works out at ₹599.90/kg against ₹599.00/kg. The 10 kg pack is still the sane purchase, but the direction proves there is no law here. Read the ladder every time.

Two caveats on the cheapest routes, stated before you act on them
Natural Soy Pearl Wax is the only wax with a real break and the only pack above 10 kg — but it publishes no fragrance-load ceiling, so nothing here says 8% sits inside a stated limit for it. Eco Soy CSI 400 is the cheapest soy at ₹399.00/kg, but its ladder stops at 5 kg (₹0.20/kg dearer than its 1 kg) and publishes no ceiling either. The three that do: Luxury Soy Wax Chunks up to 13% of total wax weight, CSI 464 up to 10%, CSI 468 up to 13% — wax-maker formulation limits, not regulatory limits, and not interchangeable between waxes.

What is missing and must not be invented in: CSI sells no standalone lids, retail or gift boxes, shipping cartons, printed labels, inserts, cushioning or packing tape. Not one exists on the catalogue, a thousand-candle month needs all of them, and you must cost them from your own printer before quoting a client. The one downstream consumable CSI does publish is the Candle Care Stickers Roll, ₹413.00 per 500 or ₹699.00 per 1,000. See also bulk candle jars and converting a recipe into a commercial SOP.

Finally, write the wick into the batch record, because a flat-priced component nobody documents is one that quietly changes. A usable sheet carries date and batch number, SKU, wax and fragrance products with variant and lot, the dose in grams and the denominator used, dye and dose, the wick product and variant — "Eco Candle Wicks, Thin (C1)", not "thin wick" — jar, the three temperatures, mix time, units filled, fill-weight checks and the operator. CSI sells no template and does not pretend to; the point is that when the thousand-pack runs out, the record says exactly what to reorder. More in when to stop assuming your process scales linearly.

Why trust this guide

CANDLEMAKINGSUPPLIESINDIA supplies raw materials, not finished candles — which is why this page spends its length telling you the bulk saving you came looking for does not exist. The convenient answer to "should I buy a thousand wicks" is an unqualified yes with a discount implied. The true answer is yes for a reason unrelated to price — and no if your burn testing is not finished.

Every price and ladder here is read from live CSI listings in September 2026 and links to the product page, where current pricing and specification take precedence. CSI publishes no wick sizing data of any kind — no jar-diameter recommendation, no burn-diameter figure, no melt-pool width, no sizing chart — so this page does not tell you which wick to standardise on, only how to lock the one your own testing validated, by product, variant and pack. No MOQ, slab, rate card, volume agreement, credit term, lead time or dispatch time is published anywhere on this store. Published fragrance ceilings: 13% for Luxury Soy Wax Chunks, 10% for CSI 464, 13% for CSI 468; the other thirteen waxes publish none, and these are wax-maker formulation limits, not regulatory limits.

Nothing here is a sales forecast. We do not know your repeat rate, sell-through or cash cycle, and no supplier does — every number above is consumption arithmetic conditional on your decision to pour 1,000 candles. Frequently asked questions

Is it cheaper to buy 1,000 wicks than ten packs of 100?
No — exactly the same price. Eco Candle Wicks Thin (C1) are ₹590.00 per 100 and ₹5,900.00 per 1,000: ₹5.90 per wick either way. Thick (C2) is flat at ₹9.44, and Cotton Braided Ready Made at ₹12.00 from 10 to 1,000. Buy the thousand-pack for continuity of one validated specification across a month, not for a lower unit price. The one exception is Performance Wooden Wicks, ₹59.00 per wick at 10 falling to ₹41.30 at 100, its largest published pack.
Does CSI sell a 5 kg fragrance-oil pack for production volumes?
No. Across all 92 oils the ladder is at most 15 g / 50 g / 100 g / 500 g / 1 kg, with no 2 kg, 5 kg or 10 kg pack anywhere. Five kilograms is five × the 1 kg bottle — 5 kg of Lavender is 5 × ₹5,221.00 = ₹26,105.00. The price does not fall automatically above 1 kg and no slab is published, so ask on WhatsApp at +91 7397976926 rather than assume a rate exists.
How much fragrance oil and wax does 1,000 candles of 200 g need?
At 8% of finished weight each 200 g candle is 16 g of fragrance and 184 g of wax, so 1,000 candles consume 16.0 kg of fragrance and 184.0 kg of wax before process loss. On CSI's ladder that is sixteen 1 kg fragrance bottles — nothing deeper exists — plus eighteen 10 kg wax packs and a four-kilogram tail. One kilogram of oil is 62 candles. At 8% of the wax weight it is 14.8 g of oil, a 1.2 kg difference across the month.
Should I buy the 10 kg wax pack to get a better rate?
On most CSI waxes there is no better rate to get. CSI 464 is flat at ₹507.40/kg from 1 kg upward. Luxury Soy Wax Chunks' 10 kg is ₹0.90/kg dearer than its 1 kg (₹599.90 against ₹599.00). CSI 468 does fall, ₹650.00/kg to ₹637.00/kg at 5 kg and above. The one genuine break is Natural Soy Pearl Wax: ₹450.00/kg at 1 kg against ₹424.80/kg at 5, 10 and 50 kg — the only wax pack above 10 kg.
Which wick should I standardise on for commercial production?
We cannot, and you should be suspicious of any supplier who does. CSI publishes no wick sizing data at all — thickness words only, Thin (C1) and Thick (C2), with no jar-diameter recommendation, burn-diameter figure, melt-pool width or sizing chart. The only authority is your own burn record in your own jar, wax and load: three identical jars side by side, one variable changed, the result in writing. 20 Thin (C1) at ₹118.00 and 20 Thick (C2) at ₹188.80 is ₹306.80 — do that before ₹5,900. See bulk candle wick supplier in India.
Is it safe to hold a month or more of stock at this volume?
That is your risk to size, and we will not tell you it is safe. CSI publishes a shelf life for exactly two products — CSI 464 and CSI 468, both 60 months in cool dry storage. No other wax, fragrance oil or wick publishes one, so you cannot assume a published expiry for them. Size it from figures you have measured: your consumption per unit, your repeat rate over a stated number of months, your cash cycle. The structural point stands — a spare wick is consumed by any candle you pour, a spare kilogram of one scent only by candles of that scent.
