CSI Collection Buying · Hotel-Inspired · Brand Curation
A hotel-inspired brand is not six good candles. It is one day told in six moments, each with its own top note and all drying down to the same soft base. Here is the line, the oils, the names you can own and the price structure that holds it together.
6 scents
signature + five moments of a stay · oils ₹5.03–₹8.10 per gram at 500 g · CSI live pricing, September 2026
Quick answers — read this first
How many scents should a luxury hotel-inspired candle line have? Five to seven. Six is the shape we would build: one signature that carries the brand, and five candles that each own a moment of a stay (lobby, spa-adjacent, library, evening, suite). Fewer than five and it reads as a range of candles, not a place; more than seven and the slots start to overlap.

Which CSI oils fit those slots? Signature: Bergamot Amber. Lobby: Neroli. Spa-adjacent: Lavender. Library: Palo Santo. Evening: White Royal Oud. Suite: Sandalwood. All six state a candle load of up to 10% and are in stock at every listed size on 24 September 2026.

Can I name candles after a famous hotel? No. Do not use any real hotel's, spa's or perfume house's name, and do not use the brand names in some supplier listings either. Name the moment ("Late Check-out", "Turndown"), not the place.

How should the line be priced? In tiers, not scent by scent. Five slots sit within ₹19.54 of each other in oil cost per 150 g candle; the evening oud is ₹36.90 dearer than the suite sandalwood. Price the five as one tier and the evening candle one step up.
The short answer
The shape: a signature plus five moments of a stay. Each slot has a different dominant family; five of the six share a soft woody-musky-amber base, and the sixth (Neroli, which names no base) sits beside the signature that supplies one. That is what makes them read as one brand.
The oils: Bergamot Amber, Neroli, Lavender, Palo Santo, White Royal Oud, Sandalwood: ₹5.03 to ₹8.10 per gram at 500 g.
The names: moments, times and rooms, never a real hotel, spa or perfume house. Run your final names past a trade mark search before you print.
The price architecture: one core price for five scents, one premium step for the evening oud, the signature in three formats, and a six-votive discovery box as the entry point (₹626.90 in materials).
A hotel-inspired line is a day, not a list Each candle owns one moment of a stay. The signature runs underneath all of them. 06:00 09:00 12:00 15:00 18:00 21:00 24:00 LOBBY Neroli arrival · 07:00–11:00 ₹6.66/g at 500 g SPA-ADJACENT Lavender afternoon · 11:00–15:00 ₹5.24/g at 500 g LIBRARY Palo Santo late afternoon · 15:00–19:00 ₹6.02/g at 500 g EVENING White Royal Oud bar · 19:00–22:00 ₹8.10/g at 500 g SUITE Sandalwood turndown · 22:00–24:00 ₹5.03/g at 500 g SIGNATURE · Bergamot Amber bergamot top, amber heart, musk and vanilla base · ₹5.44/g at 500 g · the thread through every hour and every format Slot times are a storytelling device, not a claim about any real hotel. Per-gram prices: CSI live pricing, verified 24 September 2026. Oils chosen on stated notes, a stated candle load of up to 10% and stock at every size; no throw data is implied.
The line mapped onto a day: arrival in the lobby, an afternoon near the spa, a quiet library hour, the evening bar, turndown in the suite. The signature, Bergamot Amber, is not a moment but the brand's through-line, which is why it is the one scent we would make in every format.
Straight answer
I am launching a luxury candle brand with a hotel-inspired feel. Which fragrances should the line include, and how do I name and price it?
Build six: a signature and five moments of a stay. From CSI: Bergamot Amber (signature: bright bergamot, amber, musk), Neroli (lobby: bright orange blossom), Lavender (spa-adjacent: herbal, soft musk), Palo Santo (library: earthy wood, citrus, a touch of incense), White Royal Oud (evening: saffron, rose, soft oud) and Sandalwood (suite: creamy single-note wood). Each has a different dominant family, and five of the six end in wood, musk or amber (Neroli's page names no base, so it leans on the signature), so the line holds together. Name them after moments ("Arrival", "Turndown") rather than any real hotel. Price five as one core tier and the White Royal Oud candle one step up: its oil costs ₹97.22 per 150 g candle at the 500 g price against ₹60.32 for Sandalwood. Make the signature in three formats and offer the whole line as a six-votive discovery box. The complete material floor for a 150 g clear-jar candle runs from ₹230.64 to ₹267.55 across the line, excluding labour, freight, packaging and GST.
One line: a hotel-inspired brand is a day of six moments with one shared base, named after the moments and priced in two tiers.
Start with the signature, because everything else is judged against it. Bergamot Amber 50 g is ₹280.00: enough to pour four 150 g candles at 8% and live with them for a fortnight before you choose the other five.

What a line needs that a single candle does not

One good candle is a product. Six candles that belong together are a brand.

Most new candle brands choose scents one at a time: the one the founder loves, the one a friend asked for, the one that tested well. The result is a shelf of unrelated candles in matching jars. A hotel-inspired brand has a harder job and a better story: it has to feel like one place. That comes from three design decisions, made before you buy a single oil. What "hotel-inspired" means as a scent style, and the shortlist of oils that build it, is on the hub page, Buy Hotel-Inspired Fragrance Oils for Candle Making in India; this page starts from there and builds a line.

Decision 1 — Coverage: one moment per candle

Each candle owns one moment of a stay, and no two moments share a dominant family. Arrival is bright and public, so it is citrus-floral. The afternoon near the spa is herbal. The library is dry and woody. The evening bar is darker and richer. Turndown is soft and creamy. When a customer asks "which one is for the bedroom?", the line should answer for you.

Decision 2 — Contrast: a customer should be able to tell them apart blind

If two candles in the line smell alike with the labels hidden, one of them is wasting a slot. The test is simple and is set out in the curation section below: blind, cold, then burning. Sage and Cedarwood and Palo Santo, for example, are both dry woods; a line that includes both needs a reason.

Decision 3 — Continuity: a shared base

Contrast at the top, continuity at the bottom. Every oil in the line should dry down to wood, musk or amber (in the line below, Neroli is the one exception, carried by the signature), so that the fifth candle a customer buys still smells like the brand they fell for. This is the part most lines get wrong, and it gets its own section below.

Mistake: building the line from bestsellers in other categories: a vanilla, a fruit, a floral, a coffee, a wood. Fix: that is a candle shop, not a hotel-inspired brand. Keep sweet gourmands and fruits out; the style is restrained. If you want a café line as well, build it as a separate collection with its own name.

The six slots and the CSI oil for each

Chosen on each page's stated notes, a stated candle load (all six state a maximum of 10%), stock at every size on 24 September 2026, and how clearly each fills its slot. We have no throw measurements; which hotel-style oils are structurally strongest is argued in Strong Hotel-Inspired Fragrance Oils for Candle Making. Per-candle figures use the 500 g price, which is what you pay once the line is in production.

1
citrus amber · SIGNATURE · the through-line
Bergamot Amber Fragrance Oil
The signature has to carry the whole brand on its own, and Bergamot Amber's page names notes in all three roles: "sparkling bergamot and citrus top notes, warm amber and soft floral heart, woody musk and smooth vanilla base". The page states "6-10% for soy wax candles, cure 48-72 hours. 6-8% for paraffin wax". Its base overlaps with every other slot in this line, which is exactly what a signature should do. Make it in every format. Limitation: a signature is the scent customers compare everything with, so its vanilla must not read sweet at your chosen load; check it at 8% before 10%.
Size Price Per gram 150 g candles at 8%
15 gm ₹105.02 ₹7.00 1
50 gm ₹280.00 ₹5.60 4
100 gm ₹560.00 ₹5.60 8
500 gm ₹2,718.00 ₹5.44 41
1 kg ₹5,437.00 ₹5.44 83
Oil per 150 g candle at the 500 g price: ₹65.23. Buy Bergamot Amber
2
citrus floral · LOBBY · arrival
Neroli Fragrance Oil
Arrival should be bright, clean and a little formal, and neroli is the classic note for it. The page describes "Bright neroli with hints of orange blossom, honey, and soft green undertones" and states "Recommended Fragrance Load: Up to 10% for soy wax Up to 6% for paraffin wax". It is the most "public space" of the six. Limitation: the page names no base notes, so on a long burn it may fade before the woods do; that is acceptable for a lobby candle, which is about the first impression. It is priced flat at ₹6.66/g from 100 g upward.
Size Price Per gram 150 g candles at 8%
15 gm ₹118.00 ₹7.87 1
50 gm ₹342.20 ₹6.84 4
100 gm ₹665.52 ₹6.66 8
500 gm ₹3,327.60 ₹6.66 41
1 kg ₹6,655.20 ₹6.66 83
Oil per 150 g candle: ₹79.86, the second dearest in the line. Buy Neroli
3
herbal · SPA-ADJACENT · afternoon
Lavender Fragrance Oil
Every hotel-inspired line needs one candle that sits next to the spa without becoming a spa candle, and lavender is the most recognisable herbal note there is. The page describes "fresh lavender top notes, herbal green mid notes, and soft musk base", states "Recommended fragrance load 6-10% for candles", and describes the oil as "IFRA-certified" (the page's wording; ask for the documents on WhatsApp). It also has more published customer reviews than any other oil in the line, several shown at the top of this guide. Limitation: lavender is familiar, so it needs the brand around it to feel premium; and describe it by scent, never by claimed effects.
Size Price Per gram 150 g candles at 8%
15 gm ₹105.02 ₹7.00 1
50 gm ₹270.00 ₹5.40 4
100 gm ₹540.00 ₹5.40 8
500 gm ₹2,620.00 ₹5.24 41
1 kg ₹5,221.00 ₹5.22 83
Oil per 150 g candle: ₹62.88; 1 kg is ₹5.22/g. Buy Lavender
4
woody resinous · LIBRARY · the quiet hour
Palo Santo Fragrance Oil
The library slot is dry, woody and a little smoky: leather chairs, old paper, a room nobody hurries through. Palo Santo covers it: "Earthy palo santo with soft citrus, warm amber, and a touch of incense", with "Recommended Fragrance Load: Up to 10% for soy wax Up to 6% for paraffin wax". It gives the line a wood that is neither creamy (Sandalwood) nor dark (White Royal Oud). Limitation: incense divides people; if your blind panel finds it too smoky, Sage and Cedarwood is the cleaner alternative for this slot. Priced flat at ₹6.02/g from 50 g upward.
Size Price Per gram 150 g candles at 8%
15 gm ₹106.20 ₹7.08 1
50 gm ₹300.90 ₹6.02 4
100 gm ₹601.80 ₹6.02 8
500 gm ₹3,009.00 ₹6.02 41
1 kg ₹6,018.00 ₹6.02 83
Oil per 150 g candle: ₹72.22; no bulk saving beyond 50 g. Buy Palo Santo
5
oud / oriental · EVENING · the premium tier
White Royal Oud
The evening candle is where the line earns its premium price. White Royal Oud is the most layered oil here: "bergamot and saffron top notes, white royal oud, rose petals, and labdanum middle notes, and creamy sandalwood, ambergris, and soft musk base", with "Recommended fragrance load 6-10% for candles"; the page calls it "IFRA-certified" (its wording). It shares the sandalwood and musk of the suite and signature, so it belongs, but it is darker than anything else in the line. Limitation: it is 61% dearer per gram than Sandalwood at 500 g, and oud is polarising; if the evening tier cannot carry that, Woody Oud at ₹4.53/g saves ₹42.85 of oil per 150 g candle.
Size Price Per gram 150 g candles at 8%
15gm ₹130.00 ₹8.67 1
50gm ₹420.00 ₹8.40 4
100gm ₹810.00 ₹8.10 8
500gm ₹4,051.00 ₹8.10 41
1kg ₹8,103.00 ₹8.10 83
Oil per 150 g candle: ₹97.22 — why this candle sits one price step up. Buy White Royal Oud
6
woody · SUITE · turndown
Sandalwood Fragrance Oil
The last candle of the day should be the softest. The page describes a "warm, creamy, luxurious single-note sandalwood fragrance oil with a smooth woody aroma and subtle earthy undertone" and states "Recommended load up to 10% for soy, up to 6% for paraffin". It is the cheapest oil in the line and the easiest to live with, which in our judgement makes it the candle customers are most likely to reorder (a judgement, not sales data). Limitation: a single note with no top, so it can seem plain next to the signature on a shop shelf; the story and the name have to do more work here.
Size Price Per gram 150 g candles at 8%
15 gm ₹93.22 ₹6.21 1
50 gm ₹271.40 ₹5.43 4
100 gm ₹502.68 ₹5.03 8
500 gm ₹2,513.40 ₹5.03 41
1 kg ₹5,026.80 ₹5.03 83
Oil per 150 g candle: ₹60.32, the lowest in the line; flat ₹5.03/g from 100 g. Buy Sandalwood
A seventh slot, if you want one: a seasonal candle that rotates, not a permanent seventh scent. For Diwali and winter, a spiced wood suits the brand; Saffron Cedarwood (citrus, cardamom, saffron, sandalwood, smoke and amber) is the obvious candidate, but its page states no candle load, so test within your wax's ceiling and keep it limited-edition. For Indian summer (roughly April to June), a brighter tea or verbena candle can take the slot.

The shared thread: why six candles read as one brand

Customers remember the top note. They come back for the base.

Here is the line laid out by what each page states, role by role. Look down the base column: wood, musk and amber recur in five of the six, and the sixth (Neroli) sits beside the signature, which supplies them. That overlap is deliberate. It is why the line can move from a bright lobby candle to a dark evening one without feeling like two brands.

The line by stated notes · top, heart, base
Contrast at the top, continuity in the base
Slot Oil Top · first impression Heart Base · what stays Shared with
Signature Bergamot Amber bergamot, citrus warm amber, soft floral woody musk, smooth vanilla Lobby (citrus), Evening (bergamot), all (musk/amber)
Lobby Neroli bright neroli, orange blossom honey soft green undertones; no base named Signature (citrus)
Spa-adjacent Lavender fresh lavender herbal green soft musk Signature, Evening (musk)
Library Palo Santo soft citrus earthy palo santo warm amber, touch of incense Signature (amber)
Evening White Royal Oud bergamot, saffron white oud, rose, labdanum creamy sandalwood, ambergris, soft musk Suite (sandalwood), Signature (bergamot, musk)
Suite Sandalwood not stated not stated creamy sandalwood, earthy undertone Evening (sandalwood)

Two practical consequences. First, if you replace a slot, replace it with an oil whose base shares at least one of wood, musk or amber: swapping Palo Santo for Sage and Cedarwood keeps the thread; swapping it for a fruit breaks it. Second, the signature matters most because it links the most slots. Test it first and change it last.

A quick continuity test
Burn the signature and one other candle in adjoining rooms, then walk from one to the other. If the transition feels like one home, the pair belongs in the line. If it feels like leaving one shop and entering another, one of them is wrong for the brand, however good it is alone.

Naming the line without borrowing anyone's name

The fastest way to make a candle feel cheap is to name it after somebody else's hotel.

Buyers searching for hotel-style candles often type the name of a hotel they remember. It is tempting to meet them there. Do not. A real hotel's, spa's or perfume house's name on your label invites a trade mark complaint, suggests an affiliation you do not have, and tells customers your candle is a copy. It also caps your price: nobody pays a premium for an imitation. CSI does not sell an oil that reproduces any specific hotel's scent, so the claim would not even be true.

The same applies to supplier listing names. Some CSI listings carry a third-party name, for example "Sandal ITC inspired fragrance oil" — that is CSI's product listing name, the oil is CSI's interpretation, and CSI is not affiliated with the brand. Buy it if you like the oil; never put the listing name on your own label, and do not describe your candle as "inspired by" any brand.

A name bank for a hotel-inspired line

Five naming rules

1. Name the moment, not the place. "Late Check-out" belongs to you; the name of a real property never will. 2. One system per line. Mixing "No. 03" with "Afternoon Steam" confuses the shelf. 3. Test the name blind. Show five people the name without the candle and ask what they expect to smell; if nobody says something close, the name is working against the scent. 4. Keep the oil name off the front. "Bergamot Amber" on the front makes your candle a commodity anyone can buy the oil for; put notes on the back. 5. Search before you print. Before ordering labels, search the public trade marks register for your line name and each candle name in the relevant class. That is a sensible precaution, not legal advice; for a brand you intend to scale, a trade mark attorney is worth the fee.

Mistake: "Hotel Lobby Candle — inspired by [famous hotel]". Fix: "Arrival — bergamot, neroli and soft woods". The second is legally yours, describes the scent honestly, and can be priced as your own product rather than as a copy of someone else's.

The story and the label copy

The story of a hotel-inspired brand writes itself once the line is a day: a stay, told in six candles. Keep it short, sensory and honest. Describe what the customer will smell and where the candle belongs; do not promise what it will do to them. Fragrance oils are not essential oils, and none of these candles should make a health or wellbeing claim of any kind. Language about scent character and associations ("a scent many people associate with calm") is honest; language about effects is not.

Label copy starters · one per slot
Scent-led, claim-free lines you can adapt; the notes come from each oil page
Slot · name Front line Back of label: notes
Signature · The Stay The scent of the whole house. Bergamot and citrus, warm amber, woody musk and vanilla.
Lobby · Arrival The first breath after the doors close behind you. Neroli, orange blossom, a hint of honey, soft green.
Spa-adjacent · Afternoon Steam The corridor outside the treatment rooms. Fresh lavender, green herbs, soft musk.
Library · The Quiet Hour Dry wood, old paper, nowhere to be. Palo santo, soft citrus, warm amber, a touch of incense.
Evening · Last Orders The bar after the music is turned down. Bergamot and saffron, white oud and rose, sandalwood, ambergris and musk.
Suite · Turndown Lights low, the day put away. Creamy sandalwood with a soft, earthy edge.

On the back label, also state the wax, the net weight, burn guidance (burn within sight, trim the wick, keep away from children and pets) and that the candle contains fragrance oil. If you sell through retailers or to corporate clients, they may ask for the oil's MSDS or IFRA documentation; CSI provides these on request on WhatsApp.

"Name the moment, not the hotel. The moment is yours; the hotel never will be."

Pricing architecture: tiers, formats and the material floor

Price the line, not the scent. Customers should choose by mood, not by the cost of your oil.

Pricing architecture is the structure of your prices: how many tiers, which scents sit in which, and how formats step up. The material floor is what the candle costs you in oil, wax, vessel and wick before labour, freight, packaging and GST. Retail price is a separate decision; how material cost relates to retail for a premium 150 g candle is covered in Hotel Fragrance Oils for Luxury Candles. Here we use the floors to decide the structure. Wax is Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464 at ₹0.51 per gram; wick is a C1 at ₹5.90; oil is at the 500 g price and 8% load.

Material floor by slot and format · 8% load
Oil + CSI 464 + vessel + C1 wick, excluding labour, freight, packaging and GST
Slot Oil 70 g votive 150 g clear jar 600 g borosilicate (3 wicks)

Evening White Royal Oud ₹115.81 ₹267.55 ₹886.68
Suite Sandalwood Fragrance Oil ₹98.59 ₹230.64 ₹739.07

Vessels: White Matte Votive Jar 70 gram at ₹31.86 each from the pack of 10; Clear Glass Jar with Golden Lid (150 gram) at ₹94.40 each from the pack of 10; Borosilicate Glass Jar 600 gram fill capacity with golden lid at ₹200.00. Wax per candle is ₹32.68, ₹70.02 and ₹280.08. The three C1 wicks (₹17.70) in the large jar are an illustration only; a large jar needs its own melt-pool test.

What the floors tell you

Five slots are one tier. In the 150 g jar, Signature, Lobby, Spa-adjacent, Library and Suite sit within ₹19.54 of each other in oil cost. Pricing them differently would make customers choose on your cost, not their mood. Give them one price.

The evening candle is a tier of its own. White Royal Oud adds ₹36.90 to the 150 g floor compared with Sandalwood. Put it one price step above the core, and let the step be larger than the material gap so the premium candle earns a premium margin. Name the tier ("Evening", "Reserve") so the step looks intended, not accidental.

Formats are where the brand earns. The 600 g signature candle puts ₹260.93 of Bergamot Amber in the jar; the same candle in White Royal Oud would carry ₹388.90 of oil. That is why we would make only the signature in the large format, and keep the evening scent to 150 g.

A pricing architecture for launch
Eight candles and a box, not eighteen candles: every scent in 150 g, the signature in three formats, the line in a box

Discovery box All six 6 × 70 g Entry / gift Material floor ₹626.90, oil ₹204.28, box extra
Argued against our own interest: we sell 1 kg bottles of all six oils, and a six-scent line in three formats would sell a lot of them. Don't do it at launch. Eighteen candles split your oil, jars and shelf space six ways too thin. The eight-candle architecture above uses the signature heavily and everything else in one format; expand formats for the scents that sell.

Curating the final six: a blind panel

The six oils above are our proposal. Your line should be chosen by a panel, not by us, and not by you alone. Buy 50 g of each of the six (one bottle each costs ₹1,884.50 in total on 24 September 2026), plus any alternates you want to try, and run this in two weekends. How to test loads in soy is covered in Premium Hotel Fragrance Oils for Soy Candles; this is about choosing the line.

1
Pour one candle per oil at the same loadUse one wax, one jar and one load for every candidate (8% is a sensible middle), so the only variable is the fragrance. Label the bases, not the fronts.
2
Recruit five people who are not youIdeally people who look like your customer. Friends who love everything you make are not a panel.
3
Cold, blind, by slotHand each person the candles in random order and ask them to place each one on the day timeline: arrival, afternoon, library, evening, turndown. A candle that most people place in the same slot is doing its job; one scattered across the day has no identity.
4
Burn in pairs with the signatureBurn the signature beside each candidate in turn. Ask one question: do these belong to the same brand? Two noes remove a candidate, however well it placed.
5
Check for twinsIf two candidates are placed in the same slot and described with the same words, keep the one with the stronger base continuity, or the lower cost, and drop the other.
6
Price-check the survivorsPut each survivor into the material-floor table. If a candidate only works as a premium-tier candle, it must earn a slot in the premium tier; you should not have more than one or two scents there.
7
Write the name lastOnly when the six are fixed do you name them, because the panel will have told you what each candle is; the words they used are your label copy.
Alternates worth a place on the panel
For the library slot, Sage and Cedarwood; for the lobby, Verbena or Cucumber Green Tea; for the evening, Woody Oud. The perfume-grade Neroli Signature Grade has the most "hotel lobby" pyramid of any neroli CSI lists (neroli, bitter orange and bergamot over orange blossom and petitgrain, on white musk, soft woods and amber), but its page quotes perfume use at 18–22%, which is not a candle load, and states no candle load. At ₹7.80/g at 500 g it is 17% dearer than Neroli Fragrance Oil (₹93.58 of oil per 150 g candle). Try it only if the panel finds the standard Neroli too thin.

What the CSI range cannot give this line

A curation page that pretends every note is available is not much use. On 24 September 2026 these are the gaps a hotel-inspired brand will notice:

No fresh linen, clean cotton or white tea. Many people describe a hotel bedroom as smelling of clean linen; CSI lists no linen, cotton, laundry or white tea oil. The nearest fresh options are Cucumber Green Tea and Blue Ocean. If a linen candle is central to your brand, ask on WhatsApp before designing around it.

Leather only through one inspired listing, with limited stock. The listing named "Tomford Ombre Leather Inspired Fragrance Oil" is CSI's product listing name; the oil is CSI's interpretation and CSI is not affiliated with the brand. Only its 50 g is in stock on 24 September 2026 (₹667.00); the 100 g and 1 kg are out of stock. A library slot built on leather could not be restocked, which is why we use Palo Santo.

Two Indian white florals out of stock for a heritage twist. Mogra and Rajnigandha are out of stock on 24 September 2026. Raat Ki Rani (Night-Blooming Jasmine) is in stock and could stand in for a heritage-hotel evening candle, though it would pull the line towards the Indian-luxury style (covered in Buy Indian-Inspired Fragrance Oils for Candle Making).

No scent literally called "hotel". And we would not trust one that was.

Diwali 8 November 2026 — the discovery box as a corporate gift: six 70 g votives, one per slot, is ₹626.90 in materials before the box. It is the easiest way to launch the whole line at once. Ask us on WhatsApp for 500 g quotes on all six oils with a GST invoice and a dispatch date that leaves time to cure.

The CSI principle
Contrast at the top, continuity at the base, and your own name on the label.
A hotel-inspired line is a day of different moments that dry down to the same place. That shared base, not a borrowed name, is what makes six candles feel like one brand.

When the line is chosen, the next steps are practical: buying the whole collection at sample, launch and production budgets is priced in Hotel Fragrance Oil Collection for Professional Candle Makers; scaling it to 250–1,000 candles is in Bulk Hotel Fragrance Oils for Candle Manufacturers; and the sequenced launch plan with reorder triggers is in I'm Launching a Hotel-Inspired Candle Collection — Which Fragrance Oils Should I Buy First?. If you are also considering a ten-scent luxury collection across families, see I'm Building a 10-Fragrance Luxury Candle Collection — How Many Floral, Woody, Fresh and Gourmand Fragrances Should I Test?.

Why trust this guide

CandleMakingSuppliesIndia sells the six oils, the wax and the vessels named here, and does not sell finished candles. We have tried to curate honestly: we tell you to launch eight candles and a box rather than eighteen candles, name the gaps in our range, and point out where a cheaper oil would do the evening job.

Every price, size and per-gram figure was taken from CSI's live store and verified on 24 September 2026, with out-of-stock sizes flagged (the leather listing's 100 g and 1 kg, Mogra, Rajnigandha). Notes and candle loads are quoted from each product page.

The slot structure, name bank, label copy, tiering and panel method are our judgement and are offered as a starting point; CSI has no throw or sales data for these oils, and nothing here is legal advice. For bulk pricing, GST invoicing, and MSDS and IFRA documentation on request, message us on WhatsApp at +91 7397976926.

Frequently asked questions

How many fragrances should a luxury candle brand launch with?
For a hotel-inspired brand, five to seven, and six is a good shape: one signature plus five moments of a stay. Launch every scent in one format, the signature in three, and add formats only for the scents that sell.
What scents make a candle line feel like a luxury hotel?
A bright citrus or floral arrival scent, an herbal afternoon scent, a dry wood, a darker evening oud or amber, and a soft creamy wood for night, with most of them drying down to wood, musk or amber. At CSI: Neroli, Lavender, Palo Santo, White Royal Oud and Sandalwood, with Bergamot Amber as the signature.
Can I use a hotel name on my candle label in India?
You should not. A real hotel's, spa's or perfume house's name suggests an affiliation you do not have and invites a trade mark complaint. Name the moment ("Arrival", "Turndown") and search the trade marks register for your own names before printing. For a brand you plan to scale, take advice from a trade mark attorney.
How do I price different scents in the same candle collection?
In tiers. At CSI prices, five of these six oils sit within ₹19.54 of each other in oil cost per 150 g candle, so they share one price; White Royal Oud adds ₹36.90 to the material floor, so it sits one step up. Formats (votive, 150 g, large) step up separately.
What should I write on a hotel-inspired candle label?
A short sensory line on the front, the notes on the back, plus wax, net weight, burn guidance and a note that it contains fragrance oil. Describe scent and mood; make no health or wellbeing claims, and do not say it is inspired by any brand.
Is there a fresh linen fragrance oil for a hotel bedroom candle?
Not at CSI on 24 September 2026: no linen, cotton, laundry or white tea oil is listed. The nearest fresh options are Cucumber Green Tea and Blue Ocean. Ask on WhatsApp if a linen note is essential to your line.

About this guide: the brand-curation page of CSI's hotel-inspired cluster. It proposes a six-scent line structured as moments of a stay, maps CSI oils to each slot, and sets out naming rules, label copy and a pricing architecture. It does not name, imitate or claim to reproduce any real hotel's scent; CSI is not affiliated with any brand named in its own product listings; nothing here is legal advice.

Customer reviews: The six reviews at the top of this page are genuine, published Judge.me reviews left by CSI customers on the product pages named on each card — Clear Glass Jar with Golden Lid (150 gram), Lavender Fragrance Oil, Sandalwood Fragrance Oil, White Matte Votive Jar 70 gram. They are general product reviews, not assessments of the buying advice on this page. Names, star ratings, dates and products are as recorded by Judge.me and wording is unedited.
