CSI does not list a single 5 kg fragrance pack, so the price you can check today is five 1 kg packs: ₹14,160 to ₹44,800 across the 16 oils customers have reviewed. This guide sets out that listed ceiling oil by oil, what it means inside each of the 312 candles five kilos make, and exactly how to ask for a wholesale quote.
₹14,160–₹44,800
for 5 kg (5 × 1 kg at listed prices) across 16 review-backed candle fragrance oils · ≈312 × 200 g candles at 8% · larger and recurring orders quoted on WhatsApp · CSI live pricing, September 2026
Quick answers — read this first
What does 5 kg of candle fragrance oil cost? At listed prices, five 1 kg packs: ₹14,160 for Citrus Lemon, ₹15,340 for British Rose, ₹18,690 for Roasted Coffee, ₹26,105 for Lavender and ₹38,230 for Dark Vanilla. Across all 87 oils with a 1 kg pack in stock, 5 kg runs from ₹14,160 to ₹1,20,280, median ₹32,495.

Is there a 5 kg wholesale price? Not a listed one. 1 kg is the largest fragrance pack CSI lists; five kilos and above are quoted on WhatsApp. The listed 5 × 1 kg figure is the most five kilos should cost you.

Is 10 × 500 g any cheaper? No. On all 16 review-backed oils it is identical or within ₹590 of five 1 kg packs — the listed per-kilo price is flat or within 4% from 500 g upwards.

What is a better per-kg price worth? Every ₹100 off a kilo is ₹1.60 per 200 g candle at 8% and ₹500 across 5 kg. Judge any quote per candle, not by the rupee total.
The short answer
Start from the ceiling: 5 × the 1 kg price is what 5 kg costs at listed prices. Lavender is ₹26,105; British Rose ₹15,340. Any wholesale quote is measured against that.
Convert every rupee to a candle: 5 kg makes about 312 × 200 g candles at 8%, 250 at 10% and 192 at 13%. A ₹500 per-kg difference is ₹8 a candle at 8%.
Ask with the right details: exact product links, kilos of each oil, how often you reorder, your wax and load, GST number, delivery pincode and the documents you need.

5 kg at listed prices (5 × 1 kg) — and the oil it puts in each of ≈312 × 200 g candles at 8% Citrus Lemon ₹14,160 · ₹45.31 per candle British Rose ₹15,340 · ₹49.09 per candle Roasted Coffee ₹18,690 · ₹59.81 per candle Apple Cinnamon ₹23,718 · ₹75.90 per candle Lavender ₹26,105 · ₹83.54 per candle Dark Vanilla ₹38,230 · ₹122.34 per candle Gilli Mitti ₹44,800 · ₹143.36 per candle Every ₹100 off a kilo = ₹500 on 5 kg = ₹1.60 per candle at 8%
Bar length is the listed cost of five 1 kg packs. The same 5 kg fills the same ≈312 candles whichever oil you choose; the ₹30,640 gap between the first and last bar is ₹98.05 per candle — a far bigger number than any per-kilo difference on the same oil.
Straight answer
What is the wholesale price of 5 kg of candle fragrance oil in India?
CSI's largest listed fragrance pack is 1 kg, so there is no 5 kg price tag to read. What you can price today is five 1 kg packs at the listed price, and that figure is the ceiling for what five kilos should cost. Across the 16 oils with a published 4★ or 5★ customer review and a 1 kg pack in stock, 5 kg lists from ₹14,160 for Citrus Lemon and ₹15,340 for British Rose, through ₹18,690 for Roasted Coffee and ₹26,105 for Lavender, to ₹44,800 for Gilli Mitti. Ten 500 g packs are no cheaper: on every one of those oils the listed per-kilo price at 500 g matches the 1 kg price or sits within 4% of it. Five kilos make about 312 × 200 g candles at 8%, so the oil inside each costs kilo price ÷ 1,000 × 16 — ₹45.31 to ₹143.36 on this list. A wholesale quote for five kilos or a recurring order comes through WhatsApp, and this page will not guess what it will be. What it will do is show you how to judge one: every ₹100 off a kilo is ₹500 on 5 kg and ₹1.60 per candle. Send the exact oils, kilos, frequency, wax and load, GST number and pincode, and compare the answer per candle against the listed ceiling.
One line: 5 kg of candle fragrance oil lists at five times the 1 kg price — ₹14,160 to ₹44,800 on the review-backed oils — and a wholesale quote is worth exactly (listed − quoted per kg) × 5, or ÷ 1,000 × 16 per candle.
Want to lock in a scent before you ask for a quote? British Rose 1 kg ₹3,068, Roasted Coffee 1 kg ₹3,738, Apple Cinnamon 1 kg ₹4,743.60 and Lavender 1 kg ₹5,221 — every one in stock and review-backed.

The listed 5 kg ceiling, oil by oil

A wholesale price you cannot see is still bounded by one you can.

"Wholesale price" usually means a price below the one on the shelf. The honest starting point at CSI is that the shelf stops at one kilo. Every candle fragrance oil is listed in packs up to 1 kg, and nothing larger is listed — not 2 kg, not 5 kg, not 10 kg. So a 5 kg order is, at listed prices, five 1 kg packs of one oil, or any combination of 1 kg packs across several oils. That is not a weakness in the number; it is what makes the number useful. It is the most five kilos should cost you, it is verifiable on the product page today, and any quote you receive can be measured against it rupee for rupee.

The table covers the 16 candle fragrance oils that have at least one published 4★ or 5★ Judge.me review and a 1 kg pack in stock — a fair, checkable definition of "popular". Each row shows five 1 kg packs, ten 500 g packs for comparison, and the oil inside a 200 g candle at the two common loads.

Gilli Mitti (Patchouli) ₹8,960 ₹44,800 ₹44,800 Same ₹143.36 ₹179.20
Worked out above: 5 kg = 5 × the 1 kg price; 10 × 500 g = 10 × the 500 g price; per candle = 1 kg price ÷ 1,000 × 16 g (8%) or × 20 g (10%). Examples: British Rose 5 × ₹3,068 = ₹15,340 against 10 × ₹1,593 = ₹15,930 · Lavender 5 × ₹5,221 = ₹26,105 against 10 × ₹2,620 = ₹26,200 · Jasmine 5 × ₹3,923 = ₹19,615 against 10 × ₹1,961 = ₹19,610.

The pattern is unambiguous. On seven of the 16 oils the two routes cost exactly the same. On seven, ten 500 g packs cost ₹10 to ₹590 more. On two — Jasmine and Dark Vanilla Oud — they cost ₹5 less, which is rounding, not a saving. The listed per-kilo price is flat or within 4% from 500 g upwards on every oil customers have reviewed. The listed price, in other words, gives no signal about 5 kg at all: whatever a five-kilo price looks like, it will come from a quote, not from picking a different pack.

The mistake: assuming a 5 kg discount into your costing. It is common to see a candle budget with an assumed "bulk rate" pencilled into the fragrance line. There is no listed figure behind it, and a costing built on a guess falls apart when the invoice arrives at the listed price. Cost your candles at the listed 1 kg price. If a quote comes back lower, the difference is margin you did not have to rely on; if it doesn't, your prices still work.

What 5 kg makes, and what it costs per candle

Five kilos is 5,000 g of oil. Divide by the grams in each candle and you have the count; divide the 5 kg price by the count and you have the per-candle cost, which is identical to the 1 kg per-candle figure because the listed price is flat. Load is a percentage of the finished candle weight, so a 200 g candle at 8% holds 16 g of oil and 184 g of wax.

5 kg of oil by candle size and load
How many candles five kilos fills, and the wax those candles need alongside it
Candle Load Oil per candle Candles from 5 kg oil Wax per candle Wax needed for that many
200 g 8% 16 g 312 184 g 57.4 kg
200 g 10% 20 g 250 180 g 45 kg
200 g 13% 26 g 192 174 g 33.4 kg
150 g 8% 12 g 416 138 g 57.4 kg
100 g 8% 8 g 625 92 g 57.5 kg

The last column is the one wholesale fragrance buyers forget. Five kilos of oil at 8% sits inside roughly 57 kg of wax. If your wax plan is two 10 kg bags — about 108 candles at 8% — five kilos of oil is nearly three times what that wax can carry. At 13% the oil goes further into fewer candles and needs about 33 kg of wax. Either way, price the fragrance order together with the wax it has to be poured into, because a quote on five kilos of oil you cannot pour for months is not a saving.

Your wax decides the grams, not the quote
The load you can use is stated by the wax, not the oil. Luxury Soy Wax Chunks state 8% to 13%, 10% recommended; Premium Coconut Soy CSI 468 states up to 13%; Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464 up to 10%. Moving from 8% to 10% turns 312 candles into 250 from the same five kilos — a 25% rise in oil cost per candle that no per-kilo quote will offset. Settle the load before you ask for a price. These are formulation limits, not regulatory limits.

Five kilos of one oil, or one kilo of five

"5 kg of fragrance oil" is two very different orders wearing the same number.

A wholesale enquiry for five kilos is sometimes five kilos of a bestseller and sometimes a kilo each of five scents. Both are 5 kg on the invoice. Both are priced at listed rates as five 1 kg packs. But they cost different amounts and fill candles differently.

Two ways to order 5 kg · listed prices · CSI live pricing, September 2026
One scent × 5 kg against five scents × 1 kg
Order What's in it Listed total 200 g candles @ 8% Average oil per candle
Single scent 5 × Lavender 1 kg (₹5,221) ₹26,105 ≈312 of one scent ₹83.54
Five classic scents 1 kg each: Lavender ₹5,221, Sandalwood ₹5,026.80, Apple Cinnamon ₹4,743.60, Roasted Coffee ₹3,738, British Rose ₹3,068 ₹21,797.40 ≈62 of each ₹69.75
Five deeper scents 1 kg each: Lavender ₹5,221, Sandalwood ₹5,026.80, Dark Vanilla Oud ₹5,691, Dark Vanilla ₹7,646, Gilli Mitti ₹8,960 ₹32,544.80 ≈62 of each ₹104.14

The five-classic basket costs ₹4,307.60 less than five kilos of Lavender alone, and its average oil cost per candle is ₹13.79 lower — but only if all five scents sell evenly. The deeper basket costs ₹6,439.80 more than Lavender × 5. When you ask for a quote, say which of these you mean: the scents and kilos of each, not just "5 kg". Whether one scent deserves five kilos on its own is a separate decision, covered in buying 5 kg of candle fragrance oil; splitting ten kilos across a range is in buying 10 kg of candle fragrance oil.

What a per-kg difference is worth per candle

A quote is a number per kilo. Your margin is a number per candle. Translate before you celebrate.

The arithmetic is short. A difference of ₹D per kilo is ₹D × 5 on a 5 kg order, and ₹D ÷ 1,000 × grams of oil on every candle. The table uses round illustrative differences to show the scale. They are not CSI quotes and not a prediction of one — they are a ruler for measuring whatever number you are given.

Illustrative per-kg differences only · not a quote
What a lower per-kilo price is worth on 5 kg and on each 200 g candle
Per-kg difference On a 5 kg order Per candle @ 8% (16 g) @ 10% (20 g) @ 13% (26 g)
₹100 ₹500 ₹1.60 ₹2 ₹2.60
₹250 ₹1,250 ₹4 ₹5 ₹6.50
₹500 ₹2,500 ₹8 ₹10 ₹13
₹1,000 ₹5,000 ₹16 ₹20 ₹26

Now put that next to a decision you control without asking anyone. Choosing British Rose (₹3,068) instead of Lavender (₹5,221) for a floral candle is a ₹2,153 per-kilo difference: ₹10,765 on five kilos and ₹34.45 per candle at 8%. Choosing Dark Vanilla Oud (₹5,691) over Dark Vanilla (₹7,646) for a vanilla-led candle is ₹1,955 a kilo, or ₹31.28 per candle. Those are scent decisions with scent consequences, and they are not interchangeable — but they show where the big rupees in a fragrance budget actually sit: in which oil, before what price.

The trap: judging a quote by the rupee total. "₹2,500 off" sounds meaningful on a ₹26,105 order. On 312 candles it is ₹8.01 each — worth having, but not a reason to buy five kilos of a scent that sells 60 candles a quarter. The oil still has to be stored, poured and sold before any of that saving is real. Divide every quoted saving by the number of candles you will genuinely pour in the next few months, and decide on that figure.

How a wholesale quote request works

Bulk and recurring pricing, GST invoicing and fragrance documentation are handled on WhatsApp at +91 7397976926. A precise request gets a precise answer. This is the sequence that makes a five-kilo enquiry quick to price and easy to compare.

1
Prove the scent before you price itFive kilos of an oil you have not burned in your own wax is a risk no quote can cover. Test at 50 g or 100 g first — Lavender's 50 g is ₹270 — and cure and burn before you ask. The method is in how to compare two fragrance oils with a controlled burn test.
2
List exact products and kilosPaste the product link for each oil, not just the scent name — CSI has two Pomegranate Splash listings and several oils with similar names. Next to each link, write the kilos you want.
3
Say whether it is one order or a pattern"5 kg once for Diwali" and "5 kg every month" are different enquiries. State the frequency you realistically expect, not a hopeful one; it is part of what is being priced.
4
Give your wax, load and candle sizeIt lets the reply flag anything that affects the order — for example, that 5 kg at 13% in 200 g candles is 192 candles, not 312.
5
Add GST number, delivery pincode and documentsYour GST number for a GST invoice, the pincode for delivery, and whether you need the MSDS or IFRA documentation for each oil — retailers, hotels and corporate buyers often ask for them.
6
Compare the reply against the listed ceiling, per candleFor each oil: (listed 1 kg price − quoted per-kg price) × kilos = saving on the order; ÷ 1,000 × your grams = saving per candle. Confirm what the quote covers before paying, and record the quoted per-kg price in your costing sheet for the next reorder.
A message that gets priced first time
"Hi CSI — quote please: Lavender Fragrance Oil 3 kg, British Rose 2 kg [product links]. Recurring every 2 months. Luxury Soy Wax Chunks at 10%, 200 g jars. GST no. [number], delivery pincode [pincode]. Please include MSDS/IFRA documents." Every blank in that template is a question the reply would otherwise have to ask you.
The CSI principle
Cost at the listed price. Buy at the best price. Never plan on a price you haven't been given.
The listed 1 kg price is the one number you can verify today and the most five kilos should cost. Build your candle costing on it, ask for a quote with every detail filled in, and treat anything better as margin — not as the reason the maths works.

Floral · most-reviewed oil
Lavender Fragrance Oil
Six published reviews, the most of any CSI fragrance oil. One reviewer writes that the "Hot throw is also very good after burn candle"; another opens with "Quality of fragrance is very good." At five kilos, Lavender is the classic single-scent wholesale candidate, and its listed ladder shows why the 1 kg pack is the unit to price from: ₹5,400 a kilo at 50 g and 100 g, ₹5,240 at 500 g, ₹5,221 at 1 kg.

The review that matters to a wholesale buyer is one written by someone selling candles: "My customer was very happy with this apple cinnamon fragrance… And I got many orders who visited their home". That is repeat demand, which is the only reason to hold five kilos of one scent. The listed per-kilo price is ₹4,743.60 at every size from 50 g to 1 kg, so the 5 kg ceiling is simply five times that.

Three reviews, one describing "strong fragrance in cold throw and hot throw" after years of testing. At ₹15,340 for five kilos it is the cheapest reviewed floral, and it is the one oil in the table where the 500 g route is noticeably dearer — ten 500 g packs cost ₹590 more than five kilos. Three reviews, including "Coffee fragrance is quite strong" and "The fragrance was really amazing". At ₹3,738 a kilo it lists at ₹18,690 for five, and its per-kilo price keeps falling right up to the kilo — ₹3,900 at 100 g, ₹3,780 at 500 g, ₹3,738 at 1 kg — so ten 500 g packs cost ₹210 more. 5 kg across the whole range

The review-backed oils are not the whole catalogue. Across all 87 candle fragrance oils with a 1 kg pack in stock, five kilos at listed prices runs from ₹14,160 (Citrus Lemon) to ₹1,20,280 for the dearest perfume-inspired oil. The median is ₹32,495, and the middle half of the range sits between ₹22,656 and ₹42,000. Those figures are simply five times the 1 kg statistics; the oil-by-oil 1 kg list, with price bands, is in candle fragrance oil 1 kg price in India.

Two practical notes for a five-kilo buyer looking beyond the reviewed list. First, 17 oils currently show their 1 kg pack as sold out, so check availability before building a quote around one of them. Second, a few oils do not follow the flat pattern above: Saffron Cedarwood lists 500 g at ₹2,584.20 against 1 kg at ₹6,867.60, which would make ten 500 g packs ₹8,496 cheaper than five 1 kg packs (₹25,842 against ₹34,338). A gap that large is worth confirming on WhatsApp before you rely on it. How the per-gram price moves from 15 g to 1 kg across the range is in candle fragrance oil bulk price in India.

Five kilos at the listed price is a number you can check. A wholesale price is a number you have to ask for. Plan on the first; negotiate with the second.

Why trust this guide

CANDLEMAKINGSUPPLIESINDIA supplies raw materials, not finished candles. A page about wholesale prices is the easiest place to hint at discounts that pull an order forward. This one does the opposite: it tells you there is no listed 5 kg price, shows that 500 g packs don't beat the kilo, refuses to guess what a quote will be, and asks you to test a scent before you buy five kilos of it. Makers who order what they can pour come back.

Every price and pack size here is taken from live CSI stock in September 2026 and links to its product page, where current pricing always takes precedence. "Review-backed" means an oil with at least one published 4★ or 5★ Judge.me review and a 1 kg pack in stock; review excerpts are customers' own words, not performance tests. Fragrance loads are quoted only as the wax product pages state them and are formulation limits, not regulatory limits.

Frequently asked questions

What is the price of 5 kg candle fragrance oil in India?
At CSI, 5 kg is priced as five 1 kg packs, because 1 kg is the largest listed pack. That is ₹14,160 for Citrus Lemon, ₹15,340 for British Rose, ₹18,690 for Roasted Coffee, ₹23,718 for Apple Cinnamon, ₹26,105 for Lavender and ₹38,230 for Dark Vanilla at September 2026 prices. Across all 87 oils in stock at 1 kg, 5 kg runs from ₹14,160 to ₹1,20,280. Wholesale quotes are given on WhatsApp.
Does CSI sell fragrance oil in 5 kg packs?
No 5 kg pack is listed; the largest listed fragrance pack is 1 kg. You can order five 1 kg packs at the listed price on the website, or message CSI on WhatsApp at +91 7397976926 for a quote on five kilos or a recurring order. Include the exact product links, kilos of each oil, reorder frequency, your GST number and delivery pincode so the enquiry can be priced in one reply.
Is buying ten 500 g packs cheaper than five 1 kg packs?
Not on the oils customers have reviewed. On seven of those 16 oils the two routes cost exactly the same, on seven the 500 g route is ₹10 to ₹590 dearer, and on two it is ₹5 cheaper. British Rose shows the largest gap: ₹15,930 for ten 500 g packs against ₹15,340 for five kilos. A few other listings differ more, such as Saffron Cedarwood — check both prices and confirm large gaps on WhatsApp.
How many candles does 5 kg of fragrance oil make?
For 200 g candles, about 312 at an 8% load, 250 at 10% and 192 at 13%. For 150 g candles at 8% it is 416, and for 100 g candles, 625. At 8% those 312 candles also need about 57.4 kg of wax, so plan the wax order alongside the oil. Load is set by what your wax states — up to 13% for Luxury Soy Wax Chunks, up to 10% for CSI 464.
How much does a wholesale fragrance price save per candle?
Divide the per-kilo difference by 1,000 and multiply by the grams of oil in your candle. Every ₹100 off a kilo saves ₹1.60 on a 200 g candle at 8%, ₹2 at 10% and ₹2.60 at 13%, and ₹500 across a 5 kg order. A ₹500-per-kilo difference would be ₹8 per candle at 8%. Those are illustrations of the arithmetic, not a statement of what any quote will be.
What should I send to get a 5 kg fragrance oil quote?
Send the exact product link for each oil, the kilos of each, whether it is a one-off or recurring order and how often, the wax, load and candle size you pour, your GST number, your delivery pincode, and whether you need MSDS or IFRA documentation. Then compare the reply against the listed 5 × 1 kg price for each oil, per candle, before you pay.
