"I just tried making a candle out of curiosity & ordered supplies.. I found the ingredients to be of good quality. The wax quality especially has been top notch. I’ve tried the Gardenia fragrance oil. It is highly concentrated. The packaging of the items has been exceptionally good for me. Timely delivery."

Quick answers — read this first
How much do I buy for 1,000 × 50 g favour candles? At 8%, each favour is 4 g of oil and 46 g of wax, so the bare order is 50 kg of mix: 4 kg of oil and 46 kg of wax. With 20 planned extras, a 4% reject buffer (1,063 pours) and a 1% heel you melt 53.68 kg: buy one 50 kg bag of Natural Soy Pearl Wax (0.61 kg spare), 4.35 kg of Gardenia (4 × 1 kg + 3 × 100 g + 50 g), 1,100 Eco C1 wicks, 1,085 containers, 1,120 wick stickers and 1,500 care stickers.

What does it cost at CSI? ₹85,187.12 for the worked order with the White Matte Votive Jar 70 gram: ₹85.19 a favour, before your printed tags, favour boxes, labour, freight and GST. The containers are the biggest line (₹34,568.10, 40.6% of the order), not the wax.

Can I use CSI’s Mini Glass Jars? Not for a 50 g favour. They are 40 ml jars, and a common rule of thumb puts 40 ml at roughly 34.4–36 g of wax to the brim. Use a container whose stated fill is above 50 g (the 70 g votive, the 85 g golden tin), or agree a smaller favour with the client first.

When do I buy it? After the client signs a physical favour in the exact container with this oil and wick, the advance arrives, and CSI confirms stock and lots on WhatsApp. From materials in hand to packed favours is about 10 calendar days in the worked plan, plus dispatch and transit.
The short answer
Your order as numbers: 1,000 favours × 50 g (your figures) at 8% = 4 g oil + 46 g wax each; 50 kg of mix, 4 kg of oil, 46 kg of wax before any buffer.
With buffers: 1,000 + 20 extras = 1,020; ÷ 0.96 = 1,063 pours; + 1% heel = 53.68 kg melted: 49.39 kg of wax and 4,294.52 g of oil (+30 g reference).
The final CSI order: Pearl 50 kg ₹21,240.00; Gardenia ₹18,850.02; Eco C1 ₹6,490.00; votives ₹34,568.10; wick stickers ₹2,800.00; care stickers ₹1,239.00; total ₹85,187.12.
The settling numbers: 1,063 pours and ₹85,187.12; the buffers cost ₹7,207.12 over an exact-1,000 order. If CSI cannot confirm 1,085 of your container from one batch, change the container or the date before you change anything else.

Each line of the favour order as a share of what 1,000 bare favours need (axis starts at 90%). Grey is the requirement, black the 20 extras and loss buffer, hatched the pack rounding you carry as leftover. Wax, oil and votives land within about one percent of need; the care-sticker line overshoots because the 1 inch roll comes in 500s. Below: the ₹85,187.12 order by line; the containers are the largest share.
Straight answer
I need 1,000 × 50 g wedding-favour candles — how much wax, fragrance, wick and container inventory should I purchase?
Work from the finished candle, not the wax. At an 8% load each 50 g favour is 4 g of oil and 46 g of wax, so 1,000 favours need 50 kg of mix: 4 kg of oil and 46 kg of wax. Add the favours you will pour and not hand over (20 here: lot-check and QC burns, retains, planner samples), then divide by your yield (0.96 for a 4% reject history) to get 1,063 pours, and add a 1% heel for what stays in the melter and pitchers: 53.68 kg of mix, or 49.39 kg of wax and 4,294.52 g of oil plus a 30 g sealed reference. Pieces (wicks, containers, wick stickers) get the same 1,063 pours ÷ 0.98 for placement and breakage: 1,085 each. Care stickers go on after QC, so they carry only a 1% spare. Rounded to in-stock CSI packs, that is one 50 kg bag of Natural Soy Pearl Wax (₹21,240.00), Gardenia as 4 × 1 kg + 3 × 100 g + 50 g (₹18,850.02), Eco C1 1,000 + 100 (₹6,490.00), 1,085 White Matte Votive Jars (₹34,568.10), 28 sheets of wick stickers (₹2,800.00) and three 1 inch care-sticker rolls (₹1,239.00): ₹85,187.12, ₹85.19 a favour. Buy it only after a signed physical favour in this container, an advance, and CSI’s confirmation of stock and lots on WhatsApp.
One line: 50 kg of mix becomes a 50 kg bag of wax, 4.35 kg of oil and 1,085 of every piece once extras, rejects, heel and breakage are counted, and the container is the line to secure first.
The favour order, priced: Pearl 50 kg ₹21,240.00, Gardenia ₹18,850.02, Eco C1 ₹6,490.00, votives ₹34,568.10, wick stickers ₹2,800.00, care stickers ₹1,239.00: ₹85,187.12. Every pack here is in stock on 7 October 2026; quantities, lots and dispatch confirmed on WhatsApp.

Your order as numbers

A thousand small candles is still fifty kilograms of candle. Write it down before you price anything.

The title gives two figures, and they are yours: 1,000 favours and 50 g each. Everything else below is a labelled worked example you replace with your own: the load (8%, the series default when a title gives none), one scent (Gardenia), the container, your reject history and the wedding date. 50 g here is the total candle weight, oil included, which is how CSI calculates load. If your 50 g is the wax only, every oil and wax figure below moves by about 8%.

If you have not yet made and approved a favour in this exact container with this oil, stop here and run the test stage first: the cluster’s hub sets out the order of tests for a new fragrance (the 500-piece wedding test sequence), and the reasons a 50 g favour behaves differently from a 200 g candle (fill tolerance, wick cost per candle, labour per gram) are in the mini-favour calculation post. This page assumes that is done and turns it into a purchase.

The container decides the order: which CSI containers hold 50 g

Wax and oil scale with grams. The container either holds your 50 g or it doesn’t.

Start the purchase with the container, because it is the line you cannot fix in the pot. Four CSI listings come up when makers think "small favour", and only some of them hold a 50 g candle with room to spare. Capacities below are the pages’ own wording; none of them states an internal diameter.

CSI small containers against a 50 g favour
Prices for 1,085 pieces (the order’s need) · in stock on 7 October 2026 unless marked · fill statements are page wording
Container Page states Holds 50 g? Per piece For 1,085 Notes
White Matte Votive Jar 70 gram "Capacity: ~70g wax fill" Yes, about 71% full ₹31.86 ₹34,568.10 No lid listed; no dimensions; matte white coating
Golden Aluminium Tin (85g fill weight) "Fill Capacity: ~85g wax", "Lid: Included" Yes, about 59% full ₹30.00 ₹32,760.00 (1,092) Lidded, does not shatter; can dent; 50 g sits low
Heart Cutout Velvet Candle Jar (Red) "holds up to 50 grams of wax" Only to its stated maximum ₹45.00 ₹48,825.00 No headspace at 50 g; the White version is out of stock
Mini Glass Jars (40 ml, lidded) "The 40ml capacity" No: roughly 34.4–36 g of wax to the brim ₹21.24 in 100s not this order Fits a smaller favour the client agrees to

The Clear Glass Votive Jar 70 gram is priced the same as the white matte one, but its page text describes an "externally frosted purple matte" jar with a "Matte white" finish, which contradicts its title: if you want clear glass, ask on WhatsApp what you would actually receive before ordering a thousand.

Argued against our own interest: the Mini Glass Jars are the cheapest of these four containers and come with lids (₹21.24 each in 100s), and they would cut the container line by more than a third. They are still the wrong jar for this order. A 40 ml jar holds roughly 34.4–36 g of wax to the brim on the common rule of thumb, before any headspace, so a 50 g favour does not go in. If the couple loves that jar, the honest move is to agree a smaller favour in writing and recalculate, not to overfill.

Which of the two that fit? The votive is the cleaner look at 50 g and is glass, so it carries the 2% breakage line. The tin brings a lid and survives a dropped carton, but a 50 g fill in an 85 g tin looks part-empty unless the client is shown one first. On price the tin is ₹30.00 against ₹31.86, which takes the order from ₹85,187.12 to ₹83,379.02. The worked sheet uses the votive; swap the line if your client chose the tin. The fill-line method for any container is the net-weight and headspace post.

The bulk purchase sheet, line by line

Required, then extras, then loss, then packs. Never the other way round.

Each line follows the same order: what 1,000 favours need; the 20 favours you pour and do not hand over; the loss buffer (a 4% reject rate applied as a divisor to everything you pour, a 1% heel on grams, a 2% placement or breakage allowance on pieces); then rounding up to real, in-stock CSI packs, with the leftover written down. Planned extras and loss buffers sit in separate columns so neither is counted twice (why samples and retains are their own line).

₹85.19 a favour is CSI materials with every buffer in; it excludes your printed tags, favour boxes, ribbon, labour, freight and GST. One favour’s own materials at these pack prices cost ₹77.95 (wax, oil, wick, votive, wick sticker and care sticker); the difference to ₹85.19 is the extras, rejects, heel and leftovers. An exact-1,000 order with no extras or buffers would cost ₹77,980.00; the protection costs ₹7,207.12, which is 9.2% on top.

Total ₹77,980.00 ₹85,187.12 ₹7,207.12
Mistake: ordering exactly 46 kg of wax, 4 kg of oil and 1,000 votives because "the maths says 1,000". Why it fails: the first planner sample, the first cracked votive and the first sunken top take the order below 1,000 and you are reordering mid-production, possibly from a different wax lot or jar batch. Fix: buy for 1,063 pours, round up once, and keep the leftover as stock.

Reading the lines: leftovers, pack choices and what moves the total

Two lines carry most of the money; two carry most of the judgement.

Wax: one bag, a thin margin, and a reusable leftover

49.39 kg against a 50 kg bag leaves 0.61 kg, about 13 favours’ worth of wax. That margin is thin but honest: the loss buffer is already inside the 49.39 kg, and soy wax from rejected favours can usually be remelted into the same scent, so a normal run rarely uses all of it. If your reject history is nearer 6% than 4%, add a 1 kg bag (₹450.00) rather than a second 5 kg. Pearl costs ₹424.80 a kilo from 5 kg to 50 kg, so the 50 kg buys convenience and a single bag lot, not a lower price. How heels and rejects belong in your real cost is the pitcher-heel post.

Oil: Gardenia is flat per gram from 100 g

Gardenia costs ₹4.33 a gram in 100 g, 500 g and 1 kg bottles. That means 43 × 100 g + 50 g (₹18,842.02) is actually ₹8.00 cheaper than the 4 × 1 kg + 3 × 100 g + 50 g on the sheet. The sheet still buys the 1 kg bottles, because eight bottles are easier to weigh, store and keep to one lot than 44. That is a handling decision you can reverse; on other oils the per-gram ladder is different and the pack choice must be checked oil by oil. The 30 g sealed reference stays unopened until the order ships, so a second lot can be compared against it.

Containers: the biggest line and the one to secure first

At ₹34,568.10 the votives are 40.6% of the order, more than the wax (24.9%) or the oil (22.1%). They are also the line where availability matters most: 1,085 identical white matte votives is a stock question, not a pricing one. Send the WhatsApp request for the containers first, and if the answer is fewer than 1,085 from one batch, decide the container before ordering anything else. A shortfall plan is in the 700-of-1,000-jars post.

Wicks and wick stickers: small money, real labour

C1 is ₹5.90 a wick in every in-stock pack, so 1,000 + 100 is simply the smallest combination that covers 1,085. Wick stickers are ₹2.50 each in sheets of 40 (the 100-sticker sheet is out of stock), which is ₹2,800.00 for 28 sheets. Argued against our own interest: if you already fix tabs with a glue method you trust, drop the wick-sticker line; it is a convenience, and at 1,085 pieces it costs more than the extra 100 wicks.

Care stickers: the size decides, not the price

Three 1 inch rolls (₹1,239.00) cost ₹127.00 more than one 1,000 roll plus one 500 (₹1,112.00). The sheet takes the 1 inch rolls because the 1,000 roll’s stickers are 1.5 inch and a small favour base may not take them; measure your votive’s base before you order the cheaper mix.

Can you pour 1,063 favours in time?

Melting 54 kg is the easy part. Placing 1,085 wicks is where the days go.

The mix is 53.68 kg, which is 6 melts on a 10 kg melter (five full and one partial). One full 10 kg melt of finished mix fills at most 200 favours of 50 g before losses. The melter page says it can "create 80 candles at a time"; that implies fills of about 125 g from 10 kg, so for favours the figure that matters is yours, not the page’s. Melting is not the bottleneck here: hands-on work per piece is. The figures below are a labelled worked example; replace them with your own timed run of 20 favours.

Capacity check · worked example
Your timed minutes per favour decide this table · cure and QC are calendar time, not labour
Step Worked figure Result
Pours 1,020 ÷ 0.96 1,063 favours
Melts on a 10 kg melter 53.68 kg ÷ 10 kg 6 melts (5 full + 1 partial)
Hands-on minutes per favour 1.2 (wick sticker, wick, pour, top check) 1,275.6 minutes
Hands-on minutes per day 720 (two people × 6 hours) 1.77 pouring days, so 2
Lot check on the bulk wax and oil test pour, set, short burn 3 calendar days
Cure before QC burns Gardenia page: 48–72 hours for soy 3 calendar days
QC burns of the 8 check favours, label, pack judgement 2 calendar days
Materials in hand → packed favours 3 + 2 + 3 + 2 10 calendar days, plus 3 days of slack = 13

Count back from the handover date: 13 days before it, the wax, oil, wicks and containers must be on your bench, and before that sits CSI’s dispatch and your transit, which CSI does not publish and you confirm on WhatsApp. If a cure longer than three days is part of your approved process (many makers wait longer before judging hot throw), use your own figure; cure is time since pour, and the cure-time-under-deadline post covers what a short cure can and cannot do.

Batch the favours by melt, not by day
Pour each 10 kg melt into its 200 votives in one go, record the melt number on the tray, and pull the lot-check and retain favours from different melts. If a complaint ever comes back, you know which melt it was.

The decision rule, what you never skip, and protecting the order

Buy the bulk after the signature and the advance, never before.
1
Confirm the favour is provenA favour in this exact container, with this oil at this load and this wick, has burned to the end without problems, and the client has signed a physical one (written, dated, sample retained).
2
Ask CSI first about the containerSend the order list on WhatsApp with the container line on top: 1,085 from one batch, plus stock and lots for the 50 kg of Pearl and the Gardenia. CSI does not promise stock depth, lot continuity or dispatch days in advance.
3
Take the advance, then orderAn advance that at least covers the CSI order (₹85,187.12) and anything printed with names or dates, before you buy.
4
Check lots on arrivalTest-pour a few favours from the new wax and oil lots, let them set, burn one briefly against your approved favour: about 3 calendar days.
5
Pour, cure, then QCPour 1,063 favours by melt; cure 3 days; burn the 8 check favours; keep the 6 retains.
6
Label and pack after QCCare stickers and tags go on passed favours only, which is why their spare is 1%, not 4%.

The decision rule. Accept the order on these quantities if the favour is already proven in this container and there are at least 13 days between materials arriving and handover. Accept with conditions if the container is new: a full burn test of the 50 g favour first, which adds about a week of calendar time, and a written approval before the bulk purchase. Renegotiate the date or the container if CSI cannot confirm 1,085 of the same container, or if the days do not fit. The settling numbers: 1,063 pours, ₹85,187.12, 13 days from materials in hand.

What you never skip, and the calendar time it takes
Durations are planning judgements · cure is time since pour, wherever the favours sit
Step Why Calendar time
Signed physical favour in the final container The client approves the candle, not a photo Before the purchase
Weighed test pour to the 50 g line A ~70 g votive filled by eye is not a 50 g favour Same day
Full burn of the favour with the chosen wick A small vessel can tunnel or overheat late in the burn About a week if the container is new
Lot check on bulk wax and oil Colour and burn can shift between lots About 3 days
Cure before QC burns Gardenia page: 48–72 hours for soy 3 days
Commercial protection (practical judgement, not legal advice): almost everything on this order is reusable stock: Pearl, Gardenia, C1, white votives. Your exposure if the wedding is cancelled is mostly the time to sell 1,000 favours’ worth of materials, not a write-off. The client-specific items are the printed tags, ribbons and favour boxes with names or dates: take the advance against those before you order them, and put the quantity, container, scent, approval date and cancellation terms in a written order. How to size extras for things that cannot be reused is the custom-materials buffer post.
If the date is close
Do not shorten the cure or skip the lot check to save three days. Reduce scope instead: offer the favours in a container you have already proven, or deliver the favours in two drops with the first half from the first melts.
This page is for you if you have an approved 50 g favour and need the purchase for 1,000 of them. Read elsewhere if you are still working out how favour maths differs from 200 g candles (6346), building the full approval list (6359), or planning the end-to-end wedding flow (6360).

The products on this order

Six CSI products from the worked sheet, chosen because this order uses them or is the honest alternative; nothing is ranked on performance (CSI publishes no burn data), and the wick and container on your order are the ones on your approved favour.

fragrance oil · white floral · priced flat per gram from 100 g
Gardenia Fragrance Oil
The worked example’s oil, assumed to be the one in the favour your client approved. The page describes it as "Rich, creamy, and velvety - a true-to-life gardenia bloom", states "Up to 10% for soy wax candles" with a cure time of 48–72 hours, and gives "Vanillin content 0.2% - minimal discoloration risk", which matters in a white jar (test anyway: vanillin is one cause of yellowing, not the only one). Argued against our own interest: on this oil the 100 g bottle costs the same per gram as the 1 kg (₹4.33), so the four 1 kg bottles on the order are there for handling and fewer lots, not for a discount.
Size Price Per gram 50 g favours at 8% (4 g)

wax · the 50 kg bag · no load ceiling stated
Natural Soy Pearl Wax
The order’s 49.39 kg of wax fits inside one 50 kg bag with 0.61 kg to spare. In the text we captured the page states no load ceiling and no temperatures, so the oil page’s 10% is the ceiling that governs and the wax maker’s stated figures (ask on WhatsApp) set your melt temperature. Argued against our own interest: the 50 kg costs exactly five 10 kg bags (₹21,240.00); buy it for one lot and fewer bags, not for price.

Eco Candle Wicks — Thin (C1)
C1 is the thinner of CSI’s two sized, tabbed wicks and the usual first rung for a small vessel, but CSI publishes no diameter range for it and the votive page states no dimensions, so the wick on your approved favour decides. ₹5.90 a wick in every in-stock pack: the 1,000 saves nothing per wick over the 100. The 10-pack is out of stock on 7 October 2026. If the burn test picks C2, the line becomes ₹10,384.00.

container · ~70 g fill · no lid listed
White Matte Votive Jar 70 gram
The page states "Capacity: ~70g wax fill" and "Matte white (external coating)", with no dimensions and no lid. A 50 g favour fills it to about 71% of that capacity, which leaves headspace: find your 50 g line with a weighed test pour. ₹31.86 a jar in 5s and 10s alike, so buy the exact count. Ask for the inside diameter and one batch before ordering 1,085.

container alternative · lid included · aluminium
Golden Aluminium Tin Container (85g fill weight), pack of 12
If the couple wants a lid, this is the lidded CSI option: "Fill Capacity: ~85g wax", "Lid: Included", ₹30.00 a tin. A 50 g fill is about 59% of its capacity, so the favour sits low in the tin: show the client one before ordering. A tin does not shatter, but tins can dent (one 4-star review mentions "some are little dent"). The page’s "C1 or C2 wooden wicks" line is its wording; CSI’s C1 and C2 are Eco cotton-and-paper wicks.
Pack Price Per tin For 1,085
Pack of 12 ₹360.00 ₹30.00 91 packs = 1,092 tins, ₹32,760.00
Tins instead of votives: ₹83,379.02 in all. Buy 12 — ₹360.00

label · after QC · pick the roll by sticker size
Candle Care Stickers Roll
Care stickers go on after QC, so 1,010 covers 1,000 favours with a 1% spare. The page lists the 500 roll as 1 inch and the 1,000 roll as 1.5 inch; on a small votive base the 1 inch is the one that fits, so three 500 rolls (₹1,239.00) beat one of each (₹1,112.00) even though they cost a little more.
Roll Price Per sticker In this order
Pack of 500 (1 inch) ₹413.00 ₹0.83 3
Pack of 1000 (1.5 inch) ₹699.00 ₹0.70 not used: bigger sticker for a small jar

Wedding season is commonly November to February, and Diwali falls on 8 November 2026. Containers in the thousands are the line to ask about first. Send us the favour order list on WhatsApp: we will confirm stock, lots and dispatch with a GST invoice, and tell you plainly what we can’t promise.

The CSI principle
Secure the container, then buy the grams.
A favour order is fifty kilograms of candle and a thousand of every piece. The grams scale; the pieces either exist in one batch or they don’t. Ask first, buy after the signature, and keep every buffer in its own column.
"Nobody at the wedding weighs the favour. Somebody does notice when there are 994 of them."

Why trust this guide

CandleMakingSuppliesIndia sells the wax, oil, wicks, containers and stickers on this list and does not sell finished candles or printed favour tags. This page still tells you not to use our 40 ml Mini Glass Jars for a 50 g favour, that the 50 kg bag of Pearl costs the same per kilo as smaller bags, that Gardenia is no cheaper in 1 kg bottles, and to drop the wick-sticker line if you already have a method.

Every CSI price was checked on the live store on 7 October 2026, pack by pack, and every pack on the order is in stock on that date; the Eco C1 10-pack, the 100-sticker wick sheet and the White Heart Cutout jar are out of stock and are not offered. Stock depth, dispatch dates and lot continuity are not shown on product pages and are confirmed on WhatsApp.

The 1,000 favours and 50 g fill are your figures; the 8% load, Gardenia, the votive, the 20 extras, 4% rejects, 1% heel, 2% piece losses, hands-on minutes and day counts are labelled worked examples, and the ml-to-gram factor is a rule of thumb. This is practical judgement, not legal or financial advice. For bulk pricing, stock and lot confirmation, GST invoicing, and MSDS and IFRA documentation on request, message us on WhatsApp at +91 7397976926.

Frequently asked questions

How much wax do I need for 1,000 50 g candles?
At an 8% load, 46 kg of wax for the bare order and about 49.39 kg once 20 extras, a 4% reject buffer and a 1% heel are added. One 50 kg bag of Natural Soy Pearl Wax covers it with 0.61 kg to spare.
How much fragrance oil for 1,000 mini candles of 50 g?
4 kg at 8% for the bare order; about 4,294.52 g with extras, rejects and heel, plus a 30 g sealed reference. For Gardenia that rounds to 4 × 1 kg + 3 × 100 g + 50 g, ₹18,850.02.
Can a 40 ml jar hold a 50 g candle?
No. A common rule of thumb puts 40 ml at roughly 34.4–36 g of wax to the brim, before headspace. Use a container whose stated fill is above 50 g, or agree a smaller favour.
How many extra jars should I buy for 1,000 wedding favours?
In the worked example, 1,085: 20 planned extras, 43 for a 4% reject rate on pours, and 2% for breakage before filling. Use your own reject and breakage history if you have it.
How much do 1,000 candle favours cost in raw materials?
In the worked example (50 g at 8%, Gardenia, Natural Soy Pearl Wax, Eco C1, White Matte Votive Jar 70 gram, wick and care stickers) the CSI order is ₹85,187.12, ₹85.19 a favour, before tags, boxes, labour, freight and GST.
Should I buy all the favour materials before the client approves a sample?
No. Buy after a signed physical favour in the final container, an advance, and supplier confirmation of stock and lots. Most of these materials are reusable, but 1,085 containers and ₹85,187.12 of stock is still a commitment.
1,000 × 50 g wedding favours
One 50 kg bag, 4.35 kg of oil and 1,085 of every piece, ordered after the signature.
For the worked order: 1,063 pours, 49.39 kg of Pearl, 4,324.52 g of Gardenia, 1,085 C1 wicks and votives, ₹85,187.12 in all. Send us the list and we will confirm the container count first, then stock, lots and dispatch.

Non-price figures: 1,000 favours and 50 g are the reader’s figures; the 8% load (total-weight basis: 4 g oil + 46 g wax), Gardenia, the White Matte Votive Jar, 20 planned extras, a 30 g oil reference, 4% rejects as a divisor, 1% heel, 2% piece losses, 1% care-sticker spare, 1.2 hands-on minutes per favour, two people for six hours, 3-day lot check, 3-day cure and 3 days of slack are labelled worked examples; the 0.86–0.9 ml-to-gram factor is a rule of thumb. Natural Soy Pearl Wax states no load ceiling in the text we captured; Gardenia’s page states up to 10% for soy and 48–72 hours’ cure; ceilings are formulation limits, not regulatory ones. Melter wording is quoted as the page’s claim. Diwali 8 November 2026 is a calendar fact; the wedding season is a common pattern, not data.
