CSI Sourcing Guides · Single supplier
Yes, one supplier can carry all four. The question is not whether they stock each category but whether each is deep enough to hold a production month. Here is the depth test, a costed 100-candle basket, and the three places a single supplier still leaves you exposed.
₹23,356.20
one basket · 15 kg wax + 1.5 kg fragrance + 120 wicks + 100 jars = a 100-candle month · CSI live pricing, September 2026
Quick answers — read this first
Can one Indian supplier cover wax, fragrance oils, wicks and jars? Yes. CANDLEMAKINGSUPPLIESINDIA stocks all four: 15 waxes, 92 fragrance oils, 7 wick lines and 80 containers, on one order, one GST invoice and one dispatch.
What should I check before relying on it? Depth in each category, not presence. A supplier with one wax and two jars technically "covers" both and will still stop your line in month three.
Which category is the thin one here?Wicks — 7 products. That is the honest weak point, and it is stated in full below rather than buried.
What does a 100-candle month cost?₹23,356.20 for a 150g soy candle at a 10% load in a lidded glass jar, itemised in the basket section.
The short answer
Yes — buy all four from one supplier. Not for convenience: wax, wick, jar and fragrance load are a single interacting system, and one supplier means re-testing one variable at a time instead of two.
Score each category on three things first: breadth (how many distinct products), pack range (trial size through to production size), documentation (ceilings, MSDS, IFRA, GST).
CSI scores: fragrance oils deep (92 products, 15g to 1kg), containers deep (80 products, packs of 1 to 100), wax adequate (15 products, 500g to 10kg), wicks thin (7 products). Keep a local fallback for the thin category.
Depth scored out of 10 on three equally weighted criteria — breadth of range, span of pack sizes from trial to production, and documentation supplied on request. Live CSI product counts, September 2026. Wicks sit at 3/10 on seven products: the one category on this page where you should hold a second source.
Should I buy wax, fragrance oils, wicks and jars from one Indian supplier?
Yes — and the reason is technical, not administrative. Those four items are not four purchases, they are one recipe. The jar diameter sets the wick. The wax sets the fragrance ceiling and the pool temperature. The fragrance load changes how the wick burns. Change the supplier of any one and you have changed at least two variables in a system you already tested. One supplier means that when something goes wrong you re-test one variable, not two. Before committing, score each category on breadth, pack range and documentation. At CSI that gives 92 fragrance oils from 15g to 1kg, 80 containers in packs of 1 to 100, 15 waxes from 500g to 10kg with stated ceilings, and 7 wick lines — a genuinely thin category to cover with a local fallback. A costed 100-candle month across all four comes to ₹23,356.20. If your constraint is time, read the one-stop-shop argument for small makers; at manufacturer volume, use the supplier audit.
One line: yes, one supplier — because wax, wick, jar and fragrance are one interacting recipe, and a single source means you re-test one variable instead of two. Check depth per category first; wicks are the thin one.
The whole basket starts with the wax, because the wax fixes the ceiling and the pool. Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464 flakes at ₹507.40/kg in the 10kg pack, with a stated fragrance load of up to 10%, or Luxury Soy Wax Chunks at ₹599.90/kg in 10kg if you need a 13% ceiling.
The category depth test — run it on any supplier, including this one
Every supplier in India can show you a page for all four categories. Few can hold all four through a Diwali run.
"Do you stock wax, fragrance, wicks and jars?" is the wrong question, because the answer is always yes. The useful question is how deep each category goes: how many distinct products, whether pack sizes run from a trial quantity to a production quantity, and whether the supplier puts documentation behind the product. Score each category out of ten on those three, weighted equally. Run it on us, then on the two other tabs you have open. Here is CSI's scorecard from a live pull on 10 September 2026 — not flattering in one row, and that row is the useful one.
Depth scorecard · live counts, September 2026
Four categories, three criteria, one honest weak spot
7 products. Two sizes of eco wick, cotton braided, wooden, two loose braided lines, one 61m roll
Good — 10, 20, 50, 100, 500 and 1000 per pack on the eco line
No published wick-to-jar-diameter chart; sizing is by test burn or by WhatsApp
3 / 10
Read the wick row again — it is the row that decides whether this works for you. Seven wick products is thin. Eco Candle Wicks ship in exactly two sizes, Thin (C1) at ₹5.90 and Thick (C2) at ₹9.44 a wick at every pack size from 10 to 1000; Cotton Braided Wicks add a third character at ₹12.00, Performance Wooden Wicks a fourth at ₹41.30–₹59.00. Inside 50–75 mm jars, two eco sizes plus a cotton braid covers it. For 90 mm bowls, three-wick vessels or tapers it does not, and you will need a second wick source. Decide that before the large first order, not after — the sizing method is in the wick guide by diameter.
What "breadth" actually buys you
Breadth is not a vanity number. Ninety-two oils means holding a core of six sellers and still rotating four festive scents a year without opening a new supplier account in October. Eighty containers means restyling a range without changing the fill weight, so your wax and wick recipe survives the redesign. Fifteen waxes is adequate rather than generous: it covers container soy, pillar soy, coconut soy, beeswax, paraffin, gel and microcrystalline, but not three competing 464-equivalents to trial against one another. Pack range matters more than catalogue size anyway: the 500g tier at ₹260 exists so a failed wax test costs ₹260 instead of ₹5,074. Use it, and read how to verify wax quality before you buy first.
One basket, four categories, a 100-candle month
Depth scores are abstract until you price a month. Here is the month: 100 candles, 150g fill, soy container wax at a 10% load, lidded glass jar, three scents — a realistic first commercial month. Every line is a live CSI variant at September 2026 pricing.
The combined order · 100 candles at 150g, 10% load, three scents
Four categories, one cart, one invoice, one dispatch
Two notes. You have bought 15kg of wax to pour 13.5kg, because CSI 464 tops out at a 10kg pack; the 1.5kg surplus carries into next month rather than being wasted. And the 20 Thick (C2) wicks are the control arm, not padding. Pour ninety candles on C1 and ten on C2 in the same jar, same wax, same load, and you learn which opens the melt pool to the glass in two to three hours — ₹188.80 once, and the highest-return line in the basket.

The jar is 39% to 45% of material cost here, the figure most makers get wrong when pricing a candle. Fragrance is second and the only line that moves between scents — ₹32.80 a candle between dearest and cheapest. Wick is under 3%. For retail pricing see how to price candles in India in 2026, and for the wider arithmetic, what it actually costs to start a candle business in India.
Cheaper versions of this basket exist and you should know about them. Swap the ₹94.40 lidded jar for a Mini Glass Jar at ₹21.24 each in packs of 100 and the per-candle cost collapses — but you are selling a different product at a different price. Swap CSI 464 for Eco Soy CSI 400 at ₹399/kg and save ₹14.63 of wax per candle. Neither swap is free: the jar changes your positioning, the wax change means re-running the wick test.
Why these four belong together — the argument that is not about convenience
Wax, wick, jar and fragrance load are four dials on one machine. Nobody who has run a wick test twice calls them four separate purchases.
The usual case for a single supplier is time: one cart, one payment, one courier, one person to chase. That argument is real and it is made properly in the one-stop-shop guide for small makers, so it is not repeated here. The stronger argument is technical.
1
The jar diameter sets the wick, before anything else doesA wick is chosen to burn a melt pool out to the vessel wall in two to three hours, which is a function of internal diameter above all else. A 150g clear glass jar and a 200ml salsa jar with a 63mm lug cap are not interchangeable even at similar fill weights, because the pool has a different distance to travel. Change jar supplier and you have changed the wick problem, intended or not.
2
The wax and the wick have to be tested as a pair, alwaysWax is what the wick has to draw and burn. A wick sized on CSI 464 flakes is not automatically right on Coconut Soy CSI 468 or on beeswax, which is denser and typically needs stepping up. No wick is correct on its own. It is only ever correct for this wax in this jar.
3
The fragrance load changes how the wick burnsFragrance oil is fuel with different combustion behaviour from wax, and it is 10% to 13% of the candle. Move from a 6% load to the 10% ceiling on CSI 464 and the same wick can drown, soot or tunnel. "Which wick for a 70mm jar" therefore has no single answer — it changes with the oil in the wax.
4
Therefore: one supplier means one variable per testIf all four come from one place, the other three stay fixed while you test the fourth. If they come from four, an out-of-stock jar in March silently changes the diameter, an out-of-stock wick in April silently changes the burn, and by May you have a candle that tunnels and four suppliers to blame. The value of a single supplier is not the courier fee. It is that your control group stays a control group.
The CSI principle
You are not buying four materials. You are buying one recipe, four times over, every month, and a recipe only holds if its inputs hold.
A maker who changes wax supplier and wick supplier in the same quarter has not saved money. They have thrown away every test burn they ran last year, because none of it describes the candle they are now making.
There is a documentation version of the same argument. Fragrance ceilings are stated per wax by the wax manufacturer: up to 13% on Luxury Soy Wax Chunks, up to 10% on Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464 — formulation limits describing how much oil the wax holds in solution, not regulatory limits. Buy wax and fragrance from one supplier and the ceiling and the oil documentation arrive from one source. Buy from two and you are reconciling a wax spec sheet against an IFRA statement yourself, which most small makers simply never do.
Working back from Diwali on 8 November 2026: a combined first order placed now leaves time to run the C1-versus-C2 wick test, cure the full 14 to 21 days and still ship. Bulk pricing, GST invoicing, MSDS and IFRA documentation are handled on one WhatsApp thread.
What one supplier cannot do for you — including this one
This page sells the single-supplier model, and the model has three real limits, all visible in CSI's own live catalogue.
Limit 1 — pack depth stops at 10kg on most waxes. The soy lines a container maker actually uses run 500g, 1kg, 5kg and 10kg, and that is the top of the ladder; Eco Soy CSI 400 stops at 5kg (₹1,996). Only Natural Soy Pearl Wax offers 50kg, at ₹21,240. A maker pouring 40kg a month therefore orders four 10kg packs rather than a drum, at pricing that does not step down past the 5kg tier — CSI 464 is ₹507.40/kg at both 5kg and 10kg. If you need drum-scale pricing, ask on WhatsApp rather than assuming the website is the whole answer, and read the complete raw material supplier audit.
Limit 2 — packaging pricing is not published. The packaging materials collection holds 10 products — a fifth category quietly attached to your four, and the one where the catalogue does not do the work for you. Boxes, filler and outer cartons are a real line in a 100-candle costing, and they are not priced on this page because they are not published per variant the way wax and jars are. That is a gap: get a quote before you build a retail price around a candle you cannot ship.
Limit 3 — out-of-stock variants move around, especially in containers. On the September 2026 pull the container category had live gaps: the Frosted Brown Glass Jar out, the Pink Matte Glass Jar available in packs of 10 but not 5, three of the 70g Colorful Votive colours out, the Amber 150g jar with black lid out, and the bamboo-lid jars out across several colours. Eighty container products is genuine breadth, but breadth is not availability on the day you order. Design your range around a colour you can get in a pack of 100, not one you fell in love with in a pack of 5.
Keep a local fallback. Yes, really.
Hold one local source you can reach in a day for the two things that stop production dead: wicks and jars. Wicks because seven products is thin and a wick you cannot get is a candle you cannot pour; jars because glass breaks in transit. This costs us the marginal order and it is still correct — a supplier who tells you to put every egg in their basket is optimising for their revenue, not your production calendar.
Buy the system from one place. Keep an emergency source for the two things that stop the line.

How to place the combined order on WhatsApp
The website handles the basket above perfectly well, and for a first order you should probably just use it — you can see stock and variant-level pricing. WhatsApp is for the second order onwards, when you know your recipe and are repeating it at volume. +91 7397976926. Send it in this shape and you get one quote back instead of four rounds of questions.
1
Lead with the candle, not the shopping list"100 candles a month, 150g fill, soy container wax, 10% load, three scents, lidded 150g glass jar." One line. Everything else follows from it, and it lets the person at the other end catch an error before it becomes a delivery.
2
List all four categories in one message, with variantsWax: CSI 464 flakes, 10kg + 5kg. Fragrance: Sandalwood, British Rose, Citrus Lemon, 500g each. Wicks: Eco C1 × 100, Eco C2 × 20. Jars: Clear Glass Jar with Golden Lid 150g, five packs of 20. Naming the variant is the difference between a quote and a conversation.
3
Ask for the documents, and for the packaging quoteGST invoice, MSDS and IFRA documentation for the oils — at order time, not after your first stockist asks. And since packaging is the unpublished category, get it quoted in the same thread so your landed cost is complete before you set a retail price.
4
Confirm stock on the container line specificallyWax and fragrance are the stable categories; containers are where the out-of-stock variants live. Ask "are all five packs of the 150g clear golden-lid jar available today" before you pay, and name a second colour you would accept. That habit removes most split-dispatch problems.
One caution about ordering by message rather than by cart: the product page is authoritative on price and stock, not the chat. A figure quoted in a thread three weeks ago is not a commitment. And on delivery — worth saying because our own customers say it — timelines and shipping charges are the two things that come up most often in reviews, including the four-star wick review at the top of this page. Build a buffer into your first order rather than assuming a date.
Why trust this guide
CANDLEMAKINGSUPPLIESINDIA supplies raw materials, not finished candles, and this page argues for buying more of them from us. The useful test of it is whether it also says where we are weak. It does: seven wick products is thin, scored 3 out of 10 in our own chart, with a recommendation that you hold a second local wick source. That advice costs us orders. We give it because a maker whose production stops does not reorder at all.
Every count, price, pack size and stock status here comes from a live pull of the CSI store on 10 September 2026: 15 waxes, 92 fragrance oils, 7 wick products, 80 containers, 10 packaging products. Prices link to the product page, which always takes precedence over anything written here. The 13% and 10% fragrance figures are the wax manufacturers' stated maximum loads for Luxury Soy Wax Chunks and Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464 — formulation limits, not regulatory limits, and not interchangeable between waxes.
For a combined quote across all four categories, bulk pricing above the published pack sizes, GST invoicing, MSDS and IFRA documentation, or help matching a wick to a jar diameter, message us on WhatsApp at +91 7397976926.
Frequently asked questions
Can I really buy wax, fragrance oils, wicks and jars from one supplier in India?
Yes. CANDLEMAKINGSUPPLIESINDIA carries all four on one store: 15 waxes, 92 fragrance oils, 7 wick products and 80 containers, on one order, one GST invoice and one dispatch. The question worth asking is not whether a supplier lists all four but how deep each one goes — breadth, pack range, documentation.
Why does it matter that all four come from the same place?
Because they interact. The jar diameter sets the wick, the wax and wick must be tested as a pair, and the fragrance load changes how the wick burns. If all four are stable, testing one tells you something. If your jar supplier substitutes a slightly different vessel in the same month your wick supplier changes stock, you are debugging two variables at once and your earlier test burns no longer describe your candle. Single-sourcing keeps the control group intact — that, not the courier saving, is the argument.
What does a 100-candle month cost across all four categories?
₹23,356.20 at CSI September 2026 pricing for 100 candles at a 150g fill and 10% load, three scents: CSI 464 flakes 10kg + 5kg (₹5,074 + ₹2,537), Sandalwood 500g (₹2,513.40), British Rose 500g (₹1,593), Citrus Lemon 500g (₹1,420), Eco Wicks C1 × 100 (₹590) and C2 × 20 (₹188.80), and five packs of 20 Clear Glass Jars with Golden Lid (₹9,440). Material cost per candle runs ₹211.40 to ₹244.20 by scent.
Which category is weakest, and should it stop me?
Wicks — seven products.Eco Candle Wicks come in two sizes, Thin (C1) at ₹5.90 and Thick (C2) at ₹9.44 per wick, plus cotton braided at ₹12.00 and wooden at ₹41.30–₹59.00. Workable for a range built on 50–75mm jars; not workable for 90mm bowls, multi-wick vessels or tapers, where you should hold a second source. Plan for the gap rather than discover it mid-run.
Is buying everything from one supplier risky?
Yes, and the mitigation is cheap. Out-of-stock variants move around — on the September 2026 pull, several container colours, the bamboo-lid jars and the Amber 150g jar were unavailable. Hold a same-day local fallback for wicks and jars specifically, the two items whose absence stops a pour. Keep wax and fragrance single-sourced, because that is where batch-to-batch consistency matters most and where switching costs you a re-test.
Four categories, one order
