CSI Collection Buying · Hotel-Inspired · Supplier
The supplier matters more on your tenth order than your first. Here are six questions to ask any hotel-fragrance oil supplier in India, how CSI answers each one — including where we fall short — and a two-candle test that proves the rest.
9 of 12
hotel-style CSI oils whose product page states a candle load · verified 24 September 2026
Quick answers — read this first
What should I ask a hotel-fragrance oil supplier in India? Six things: what documentation they give (MSDS, IFRA), whether the product page states a candle load and notes, how they keep batches consistent, whether a sample matches the bulk you later buy, how long dispatch takes, and how deep the stock is at each size. The last two are the ones buyers forget.

Can a supplier sell me a specific hotel's scent? Not honestly. CSI does not sell any oil called "hotel", nor any oil that reproduces a specific hotel's scent, and we would treat a supplier who claims to as a warning sign. You buy a style — bright top, clean heart, warm base — built from named oils.

Where does CSI stand? On page evidence, fairly well: 9 of the 12 hotel-style oils we checked state a candle load, and MSDS and IFRA documentation is available on request on WhatsApp. On stock, not perfectly: Vetiver's 1 kg and Grapefruit Oleo's 50 g and 1 kg are out of stock on 24 September 2026, and several listings are fully out.

How do I test a supplier cheaply? A four-oil 50 g trial (₹1,366.00), then a sample-to-bulk check on the winner: pour one candle from the sample and one from the bulk pack, side by side.
The short answer
Ask for: MSDS and IFRA documents, the stated candle load, batch identification, sample-to-bulk match, dispatch time to your pincode, and stock by size.
Check yourself: the product page — notes, load, IFRA wording, sizes and stock are all visible before you message anyone.
CSI's strengths: stated candle loads on most hotel-style oils, a 15 g sample on most, a GST invoice, and documents on request.
CSI's gaps: no oil named "hotel"; no throw data; some sizes and whole listings out of stock; no dispatch time published.
What the product page proves, oil by oil Six checks a buyer can make before messaging any supplier. CSI product pages, verified 24 September 2026. Notes as top/heart/base Candle load stated Documentation wording on page 15 g listed Every size in stock Cure time stated OIL Bergamot Amber Lemongrass and Lime Vetiver Orange no.3 White Royal Oud Sage and Cedarwood Cucumber Green Tea Blue Ocean Neroli Santal Noir Mahogany Teakwood * Grapefruit Oleo Oils passing, of 12 9 9 7 8 10 1 the page answers it not on the page: ask on WhatsApp, or test it yourself IFRA or phthalate wording is the page's own wording, not a certificate. * Shortened CSI listing name. No page shows batch numbers, throw data or dispatch times: those questions always go to the supplier.
Twelve hotel-style oils against six checks you can make from the product page alone. Candle loads and sample sizes are well covered; a stated cure time appears on one page only; and no page answers batch consistency, throw or dispatch time — those are questions for the supplier.
Straight answer
I need a reliable supplier of luxury hotel-style fragrance oils in India. What should I check, and how does CSI measure up?
Judge a supplier on evidence you can see and answers you can get, not on how the scent names sound. First, read the product pages: do they state notes, a candle load, any IFRA or phthalate wording, and every size with its stock? On the 12 hotel-style CSI oils we checked, 9 state a candle load, 7 carry IFRA or phthalate wording, 8 list a 15 g sample and 10 have every listed size in stock on 24 September 2026. Then ask what no page shows: the MSDS and IFRA documents (CSI provides these on request on WhatsApp), how batches are identified, what dispatch time to expect at your pincode, and whether larger sizes will be back in stock. Finally, prove it yourself: buy 50 g, then buy the bulk pack, and pour one candle from each side by side. CSI does not sell an oil that reproduces any specific hotel's scent, has no throw measurements, and has gaps in stock; if any of those rule us out, the section on when CSI is not the right supplier says so plainly.
One line: a good supplier is one whose page, documents and bulk pack all tell you the same story — check all three before you commit to a kilogram.
Start a supplier trial with the only page on the list that states a cure time. Bergamot Amber's page states notes by top, heart and base, "6-10% for soy wax candles, cure 48-72 hours. 6-8% for paraffin wax", and every size is in stock. 15 g is ₹105.02; 50 g is ₹280.00.

Six questions to ask any hotel-fragrance supplier

The scent is what you fall for. The supplier is what you are stuck with.

If you are building a hotel-style candle range — the style itself is explained in Buy Hotel-Inspired Fragrance Oils for Candle Making in India — you will reorder the same few oils many times. Those reorders are where a supplier proves or disproves itself. These six questions apply to any supplier in India, including us. For each, we say what a good answer looks like and what to be wary of.

1 · What documentation can you give me?

A Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) for each oil, and IFRA documentation showing the category limits for candles, should be available for any oil you sell commercially. A good supplier sends them on request without fuss. Be wary of a page that says "IFRA certified" when no document can be produced: page wording is a description, not a certificate.

2 · Does the page state a candle load and notes?

A candle-grade oil page should state a candle load (for example "Up to 10% for soy wax"), and ideally the notes by top, heart and base so you can see its structure before you buy. Be wary of perfume-grade oils whose pages quote 15–25% usage rates: those are perfume rates, not candle loads, and they tell you nothing about behaviour in wax.

3 · How do you keep batches consistent?

Your tenth batch has to smell like your first. Ask how batches are identified (a batch or lot reference on the label is the usual answer), whether they can tell you if a new lot has arrived, and what happens if you report a difference. Be wary of a supplier who cannot tell you which lot you received.

4 · Will the bulk pack match the sample?

The only real answer is a test: buy the sample, then the bulk size, and compare them. A good supplier welcomes this. Be wary of large price gaps between sample and bulk that do not match the published ladder — the full per-size ladder for hotel-style oils is in Hotel-Inspired Candle Fragrance Oils Wholesale in India.

5 · How long is dispatch, and to where?

Ask for dispatch time and freight to your pincode, in writing, before you promise a customer a date. Be wary of vague answers in the six weeks before Diwali (8 November 2026), when everybody is busy. The practical side of buying bulk — routes, delivery, GST, documents — is in Where to Buy Hotel-Inspired Fragrance Oils in Bulk in India.

6 · How deep is the stock at each size?

A hero oil that is in stock at 50 g but out of stock at 1 kg is a production risk. Check every size on the page and ask when out-of-stock sizes return. Be wary of building a range around an oil that is already out of stock at the size you will need.

Mistake: asking a supplier for "the hotel scent" and accepting whatever they send. Fix: no oil reproduces a specific hotel's scent, and a real hotel's name on your label is someone else's trademark. Describe the style you want (bright citrus or tea top, clean herbal heart, soft woods and musk) and ask which named oils build it. If you want help matching a description, send it to us on WhatsApp.

CSI's answers, question by question

Here is how we answer our own six questions, with the evidence behind each. Where the honest answer is "partly" or "no", we say so.

Supplier scorecard · CSI, 24 September 2026
Six questions, what good looks like, and where CSI stands
Question What a good answer looks like CSI today Gap
1 · Documentation MSDS and IFRA documents per oil, on request MSDS and IFRA documentation on request on WhatsApp; some pages carry IFRA or phthalate wording Only 7 of 12 hotel-style pages carry that wording; ask for documents for every oil
2 · Load and notes Candle load and note structure on the page 9 of 12 state a candle load; 9 describe notes by top, heart and base Perfume-grade oils (Orange no.3, Santal Noir, Grapefruit Oleo) state no candle load
3 · Batch consistency Lot identification and a way to report differences Not shown on product pages Ask on WhatsApp how lots are identified; run your own sample-to-bulk test
4 · Sample-to-bulk match Same oil at every size; a published ladder 8 of 12 list a 15 g; every size priced on the page Some hotel-style oils start at 50 g (Sage and Cedarwood, Orange no.3, the Mahogany Teakwood listing)
5 · Dispatch time A written dispatch estimate to your pincode Confirmed per order on WhatsApp No dispatch time is published on the pages; some customers ask for faster delivery (see the reviews above)
6 · Stock depth Every size in stock, or a return date 10 of 12 have every size in stock Vetiver 1 kg, Grapefruit Oleo 50 g and 1 kg out; several listings fully out of stock

Two things in that table are worth saying twice. First, a stated cure time appears on only one of the twelve pages (Bergamot Amber, 48–72 hours). For every other oil, curing at least 48–72 hours and testing at day 3 and day 7 is common practice, not a CSI specification. Second, nothing on our pages tells you how strong the oil throws in wax. We have no throw measurements, and we will not invent any; which hotel-style oils are structurally strongest, and why, is argued in Strong Hotel-Inspired Fragrance Oils for Candle Making.

Documentation: what page wording means, and what to request

"IFRA-certified" on a product page is a sentence. The IFRA document is the evidence.

Several CSI pages carry documentation wording. White Royal Oud's page calls it "An ultra-refined, IFRA-certified white royal oud fragrance oil"; Vetiver's page, "A deeply earthy, IFRA-certified vetiver fragrance oil"; Lemongrass and Lime's, "A bright, IFRA-certified lime and lemongrass fragrance oil"; Orange no.3's page says "IFRA compliant, phthalate-free"; Blue Ocean's calls it "phthalate-free". We report those as the pages' wording. We do not assert certification ourselves on this page, and neither should you on your label, unless you hold the document.

The pages that carry no such wording — Bergamot Amber, Sage and Cedarwood, Cucumber Green Tea and Neroli among the hotel-style oils — are not therefore undocumented; the wording simply is not on the page. For any oil you sell, request the MSDS and IFRA documentation on WhatsApp and keep it on file with your batch records.

What to request, and why
Documents a commercial candle maker should hold for each oil
Document or fact Why you need it How to get it from CSI
MSDS (safety data sheet) Safe storage and handling; often asked for by corporate and retail buyers Request on WhatsApp, per oil
IFRA documentation Shows maximum use levels by product category, including candles Request on WhatsApp, per oil
Stated candle load Your formulation ceiling, alongside the wax ceiling On the product page where stated; if not stated, the wax ceiling governs
GST invoice Input credit and your own accounts Available on orders; include your GSTIN
Batch or lot reference Traceability if a customer reports a difference Ask how lots are identified when you order
Two ceilings, and what the documents do not change
A document does not raise your load ceiling. The lower of the wax maker's stated maximum (Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464 up to 10%; Premium Coconut Soy Wax CSI 468 and Luxury Soy Wax Chunks up to 13%) and the oil page's stated candle maximum governs. These are formulation limits, not regulatory limits. How the hotel-style families behave in soy at those loads is in Premium Hotel Fragrance Oils for Soy Candles.

Batch consistency and the sample-to-bulk test

No supplier's word is as good as your own side-by-side candle. This test costs one sample and the bulk pack you were going to buy anyway, and it tells you whether the kilogram smells like the bottle you approved.

1
Keep your approved sampleWhen an oil passes your burn test, keep at least 15 g of that sample, sealed, cool and dark, labelled with the order date. For Bergamot Amber that retained 15 g is worth ₹81.54 at the 500 g price: cheap insurance.
2
Buy the bulk size and note what arrivesRecord the order date, the size, and any batch or lot reference on the label. If there is none, note that too and ask.
3
Pour two candles, identical in every other waySame wax, same jar, same wick, same load (8% is 12 g in a 150 g candle), same pour temperature, same day. One from the retained sample, one from the bulk pack. Label the bases, not the fronts.
4
Cure both for the same timeBergamot Amber's page states 48–72 hours. For oils whose pages state no cure, give both at least 48–72 hours and compare at day 3 and day 7.
5
Compare cold, then hot, blindHave someone else hand you the candles. Sniff cold, then burn each for two hours in the same room on different days. Note the top in the first minutes and what is left after the flame is out.
6
Decide, and tell the supplier either wayIf you cannot tell them apart, the bulk matches. If you can, message the supplier with your order date and lot reference. A good supplier wants to know.
7
Repeat on every new lot of a hero oilOnce a scent is a best-seller, repeat the test whenever you open a new lot. It takes two candles and saves a season.

Worked example: a sample-to-bulk check on Bergamot Amber is the 15 g sample plus the 500 g pack, ₹2,823.02; on Lemongrass and Lime, ₹2,716.52. The 15 g is usually the dearest way to buy oil (₹84.02 per 8% candle for Bergamot Amber against ₹65.23 at 500 g), but here it is doing a job — it is your reference standard.

Argued against our own interest: run this test on us. If our 500 g does not match our 15 g to your nose, we would rather hear it before you pour 41 candles than after. And if a competitor's oil passes your test and ours does not, buy theirs.

Stock depth and lead time

An oil you cannot reorder is not a hero. It is a one-season scent.

Stock is where CSI's range is uneven, and a supplier evaluation should say so. On 24 September 2026, among the hotel-style oils, Vetiver's 1 kg is out of stock (its 500 g, at ₹2,900.00, is in stock) and Grapefruit Oleo is in stock only at 100 g (₹341.00). Across the wider range, several listings a luxury buyer might look for are fully out of stock: Regal Royal Oud, Frankincense and Tonka, the Acqua Di Gio-inspired listing and Baccarat Rouge 540 (CSI listing names; CSI is not affiliated with either brand), as well as Mogra and Rajnigandha. The leather note is available only through the listing named "Tomford Ombre Leather Inspired Fragrance Oil" — CSI's listing name; the oil is an interpretation, CSI is not affiliated with the brand, and the brand name should not appear on your label — and only its 50 g (₹667.00) is in stock.

Listing titles sometimes carry delivery notes. The Rajnigandha listing's title reads "Ships 12th July 2025", and the Black Glass Jar with Black Lid (150 gram) listing's title reads "Deliveries Starting 5th Dec". We quote them because they are on the page; confirm the current position on WhatsApp rather than relying on a date in a title.

Lead time: what the reviews say

CSI's product pages do not publish dispatch times, so the best evidence we can show you is what customers have written. It is mixed, and we show it as it is. One wick review (4★) says the "team can work on the pricing and delivery timelines"; another (4★) asks for delivery to be "little bit quick"; a coconut soy wax review (5★) says "the delivery charges are very high which is restricting me"; a CSI 464 review (5★) says orders were "delivered as early as possible, timely response to the inquiries". These are general product reviews, not a delivery audit. The practical conclusion: ask for dispatch time to your pincode before you commit to a customer date, and build a buffer into any Diwali or Christmas plan.

Before a Diwali bulk order (8 November 2026): ask for dispatch time to your pincode, MSDS and IFRA documents, and stock confirmation at the size you need, in one message. We issue a GST invoice.

Four oils, four evidence profiles

Not a shortlist — that is Buy Hotel-Inspired Fragrance Oils for Candle Making in India — but four hotel-style oils that show the four evidence profiles you will meet with any supplier: load-and-cure, documented, stock-limited and perfume-grade. Candle counts assume 150 g at 8% (12 g of oil).

1
citrus amber · load and cure evidence
Bergamot Amber Fragrance Oil
One of four pages on the list that answer five of the six page checks, and the only one that states a cure time. Notes by role: "sparkling bergamot and citrus top notes, warm amber and soft floral heart, woody musk and smooth vanilla base". Loads: "6-10% for soy wax candles, cure 48-72 hours. 6-8% for paraffin wax". It even lists other uses: "Up to 12% for wax melts. 10-30% for reed diffusers. 8-15% for room sprays." Every size is in stock. What it lacks: IFRA wording on the page, so request the document. Limitation: the vanilla in the base can drift sweet at the top of the range; compare 8% and 10%.
Size Price Per gram 150 g candles at 8%
15 g ₹105.02 ₹7.00 1
50 g ₹280.00 ₹5.60 4
100 g ₹560.00 ₹5.60 8
500 g ₹2,718.00 ₹5.44 41
1 kg ₹5,437.00 ₹5.44 83
15 g sample ₹105.02; 500 g ₹2,718.00 for 41 candles. Buy Bergamot Amber
2
citrus herbal · documented
Lemongrass and Lime
A bright, clean opening for the lobby end of a hotel range. The page describes "zesty lime and fresh lemongrass top notes, light ginger and herbal middle notes, and subtle cedarwood and soft musk base", states "Recommended fragrance load 6-10% for candles" and calls it "A bright, IFRA-certified lime and lemongrass fragrance oil" (page wording; request the document). Every size is in stock; the 1 kg is 21.2% cheaper per gram than the 50 g. Limitation: its base is light, so it needs a woody partner in the range, and like every citrus it is spent first in the burn.
Size Price Per gram 150 g candles at 8%
15 g ₹116.52 ₹7.77 1
50 g ₹330.00 ₹6.60 4
100 g ₹590.00 ₹5.90 8
500 g ₹2,600.00 ₹5.20 41
1 kg ₹5,200.00 ₹5.20 83
Oil per 8% candle: ₹79.20 at 50 g, ₹62.40 at 500 g. Buy Lemongrass and Lime
3
woody earthy · documented, stock-limited
Vetiver Fragrance Oil
A smoky, grounding wood for the evening end of the style. The page describes it as "smoky, woody, and grounding with subtle green and sweet undertones", states "Up to 10% for soy wax candles ... Up to 6% for paraffin wax candles" and calls it "A deeply earthy, IFRA-certified vetiver fragrance oil" (page wording). The 500 g is 18.1% cheaper per gram than the 50 g. The stock problem: the 1 kg is out of stock on 24 September 2026, so a production plan needs two 500 g packs (₹5,800.00). Limitation: smoke reads darker than a classic lobby scent.
Size Price Per gram 150 g candles at 8%
15 g ₹187.62 ₹12.51 1
50 g ₹354.00 ₹7.08 4
100 g ₹600.00 ₹6.00 8
500 g ₹2,900.00 ₹5.80 41
1 kg ₹5,664.00 — Out of stock on 24 September 2026 ₹5.66 Out of stock
500 g in stock: ₹69.60 of oil per 8% candle; 1 kg out of stock. Buy Vetiver
4
citrus aromatic · perfume-grade
Orange no.3
A layered orange that opens "with blood orange, bitter orange, and bergamot for a rich, layered orange accord, moves into an aromatic heart of orange blossom, neroli, and petitgrain, and dries down to amber, cedar, and white musk". The page carries "IFRA compliant, phthalate-free" wording but states no candle load; its "up to 25% for Extrait de Parfum, 20% for EDP/EDT" are perfume rates, not candle loads, so the wax ceiling governs. No 15 g and no 500 g are listed. Limitation, against our own interest: at ₹8.03 per gram it is 54% dearer than Lemongrass and Lime at its best size, with less candle guidance.
Size Price Per gram 150 g candles at 8%
50 g ₹402.00 ₹8.04 4
100 g ₹803.00 ₹8.03 8
1 kg ₹8,032.00 ₹8.03 83
Oil per 8% candle at 100 g: ₹96.36. Buy Orange no.3
A four-oil supplier trial: 50 g each of Bergamot Amber (₹280.00), Lemongrass and Lime (₹330.00), Vetiver (₹354.00) and Orange no.3 (₹402.00) is ₹1,366.00. It tests one oil from each evidence profile, and each 50 g covers three loads plus a retest.

When CSI is not the right supplier

A supplier page that never says "not us" is not an evaluation. Here is ours.

If you need an oil called "hotel", or one that reproduces a named hotel's scent. We do not sell one, and we would not trust a supplier who did. If you need lab throw data. We have none for these oils; our guidance is page wording, customer reviews and your own burn tests. If you need a white tea, fresh linen, clean cotton or laundry oil. None is listed on 24 September 2026; the fresh options are covered in Buy Clean Fragrance Oils for Candle Making in India. If your hero is a size we do not have in stock. Vetiver 1 kg, for example, or any of the fully out-of-stock listings. If you need dispatch dates published on the page. We confirm per order on WhatsApp; we do not publish them.

If none of those rules us out, the next steps are practical: the price ladder in Hotel-Inspired Candle Fragrance Oils Wholesale in India, the professional collection at three budgets in Hotel Fragrance Oil Collection for Professional Candle Makers, and the batch maths for 250 to 1,000 candles in Bulk Hotel Fragrance Oils for Candle Manufacturers. If you are sourcing across several collection styles — hotel, spa, floral, woody, fresh, gourmand and Indian — from one supplier, read I Want One Supplier for My Hotel, Spa, Floral, Woody, Fresh, Gourmand and Indian-Inspired Candle Collections — What Should I Check Before Placing a Bulk Order?.

The CSI principle
Trust the page, then verify the pack.
Read what the product page states, ask for what it does not, and prove the rest with two candles poured side by side. Any supplier worth your reorders will pass all three.
"We would rather lose a sale to an honest 'not in stock' than keep a customer with a promise we cannot pour."

Why trust this guide

CandleMakingSuppliesIndia is the supplier being evaluated here, and we have tried to answer our own questions against ourselves: the scorecard names our stock gaps, the listings that are fully out, the absence of throw data and published dispatch times, and the review comments asking us to do better on delivery.

Every price, size, stock position and page quotation was taken from CSI's live store and verified on 24 September 2026. Out-of-stock sizes are flagged and never presented as buyable. The evidence matrix is built only from what each product page states.

The six questions, the sample-to-bulk test and the evidence profiles are our judgement. For bulk pricing, GST invoicing, and MSDS and IFRA documentation on request, message us on WhatsApp at +91 7397976926.

Frequently asked questions

How do I choose a fragrance oil supplier for candles in India?
Check the product page (notes, stated candle load, sizes, stock), ask for MSDS and IFRA documents, ask how batches are identified and how long dispatch takes to your pincode, and run a sample-to-bulk test before you commit to a kilogram.
Which supplier sells hotel lobby fragrance oil for candles in India?
No honest supplier sells a specific hotel's scent. CSI sells hotel-style oils — bright citrus and tea tops, clean herbal hearts, soft woods, musk and amber — such as Bergamot Amber, Lemongrass and Lime and Vetiver, and does not claim to reproduce any hotel's scent.
Does CSI provide IFRA certificates and MSDS for fragrance oils?
MSDS and IFRA documentation are available on request on WhatsApp (+91 7397976926). Some product pages also carry IFRA or phthalate wording; that is the page's description, so request the document for any oil you sell.
How do I check that a bulk fragrance oil matches the sample?
Keep 15 g of your approved sample, then pour one candle from it and one from the bulk pack with identical wax, jar, wick and load, cure both the same time and compare blind, cold and hot.
What if the fragrance oil size I need is out of stock?
Check the next size down and what two of it cost: Vetiver's 500 g is ₹2,900.00 (₹5.80/g) while its 1 kg (₹5.66/g) is out of stock, so two 500 g packs cost ₹136.00 more than the kilogram would. Then ask on WhatsApp when the size returns before you plan a range around it.
How long does fragrance oil delivery take from CSI?
Dispatch time is not published on the product pages; it is confirmed per order on WhatsApp. Ask for dispatch time to your pincode before you promise a customer a date, especially before Diwali (8 November 2026).

About this guide: the supplier-evaluation page in CSI's hotel-inspired cluster. It sets out six questions to ask any hotel-fragrance oil supplier in India and answers them for CSI, including where CSI falls short.
