Where the price break is real — and where it is not

Across the core candle range, the kilogram is meaningfully cheaper per gram than 100 g on only a handful of oils: Mango Coconut (21%), Roasted Coconut (19%), Eucalyptus Spearmint (13%), Lemongrass and Lime (12%), British Rose (10%), Pumpkin Spice (10%). On 14 oils the kilogram costs exactly ten times the 100 g pack, and on 6 — Blue Ocean, Smoked Rose Royale, Midnight Bakhoor Royale, Sultan's Smoke, Jasmine Coconut Spa Ceylon — ten 100 g packs are a few rupees cheaper than one kilogram.

What that means for a wholesale buyer. Buy the kilogram when you need the volume, not for a discount that may not exist. On flat-priced oils, ten 100 g packs cost the same and let you split a batch across more scents; the kilogram's advantage is fewer bottles to handle and one batch. Above 1 kg of one oil, ask on WhatsApp for a quote rather than assuming the listed packs are the ceiling.

The reseller maths: what the oil costs inside a finished candle

For a 200 g candle at 8% using Jasmine bought by the kilogram and Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464 (flakes) at ₹507.40/kg: oil ₹62.77, wax ₹93.36, wick ₹5.90 — ₹162.03 in core materials, before the jar, label, packaging, labour, freight and GST.

Scale that to an example order — a textile firm ordering New Year client gifts, 750 candles of 200 g — and the fragrance oil is 12.0 kg, or about ₹47,076. That is the number to use when a customer asks for a wholesale price per candle: know your oil cost per unit before you quote.

That is a fair ask, and the table above is the honest answer: on most oils the listed per-gram price is already flat from 100 g to 1 kg. Who buys this way in Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad is hot and semi-arid, with May highs that can pass 45°C, a moderate July–September monsoon and mild, dry winters. Ahmedabad's summer is the risk: a heavily loaded candle can sweat in a May storeroom. Keep the load under the wax maker's maximum and keep finished stock off hot walls.
