CSI Bulk Orders · 300 Wedding Candles in 10 Days
Ten days with a 72-hour set and a packing day is five pouring days, so 300 candles need 65 a day. Test your melter, your moulds or jars, and your people against that number; the smallest capacity decides.
65 a day
candles needed over 5 pouring days for a day-10 wedding delivery · CSI live pricing, October 2026
Quick answers — read this first
Can I make 300 wedding candles in 10 days? Only if three constraints all pass and the candle is already proven. The 72-hour set means the last pour is day 6, so 10 days hold 5 pouring days; pouring 322 (300 + 10 extras + a 4% buffer) needs 65 candles a day.

Which constraint binds? In the worked example, the melt. One 1-litre Mini melter pours about 52 a day, 13 short. A second Mini (₹2,360.00) lifts that to about 104. Next comes people: days 5, 6 and 8 need 1.22, 1.05 and 1.43 people. Jars do not cycle; moulds do, and for pillars they would bind first.

How much material? At the 200 g / 8% default, 60 kg of finished candle; buy 60 kg of Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464, 5.5 kg of Jasmine as 11 × 500 g and 330 Eco C2 wicks: ₹55,130.20, with 329 of your jars in the workshop on day 1.

And if it doesn't fit? A wedding date does not move. Cut scope (one Mini alone supports about 240 saleable candles), or decline. Never cut the 72-hour set or the formula test.
The short answer
Constraint A, melt: 13.13 kg of finished mix a pour day. One Mini ≈ 52 candles a day (fails); two Minis ≈ 104 (passes); a 10 kg melter ≈ 100 from two melts (passes, but costs ₹18,880.00 more).
Constraint B, containers and moulds: jars have no cycle limit but all 329 must be on hand; pillars from moulds would need about 35 moulds at two cycles a day (₹32,998.70).
Constraint C, people: 2,774 people-minutes over 10 days (6.8 person-days), but bunched: a helper on days 5, 6 and 8.
Cure: 72 hours from the last pour to packing, and Jasmine's page gives a 48–72 hour soy cure. That is why 10 days become 5 pouring days.
300 wedding candles in 10 days: the daily load Worked example: people-minutes a day, day 1 = Monday, one usable day = 408 min. 0 200 400 600 800 minutes 185 1 set-up 206 2 pour 206 3 pour 206 4 pour 496 5 pour + pack 430 6 pour + pack Sun 7 off 585 8 pack 339 9 pack 120 10 deliver one person (408) two people (816) day wick, pour, melt QC + wedding pack set-up, count, delivery Melt check: one Mini melter ≈ 52 candles a day; days 2–5 need 65. Two Minis ≈ 104 a day. Timings are worked examples; time your own.
Worked example. Each column is the people-minutes one day needs: wicking, pouring and melting (black), QC and wedding packing (hatched), set-up, final count and delivery (grey). The dashed lines are one person (408 usable minutes) and two people. Days 5, 6 and 8 go over one person because pouring and packing overlap once the first candles finish their 72-hour set. Sunday is off. The melt line below is the other constraint: one Mini melter cannot pour 65 a day.
Straight answer
A wedding client wants 300 candles in 10 days. How do I calculate whether my current moulds, wax capacity and team can finish on time?
Turn the date into pouring days first, then test three capacities against the same daily number. Pouring days: delivery on day 10, a 72-hour set before packing and a day to pack mean the last pour is day 6; with day 1 for set-up and Sunday off, that is 5 pouring days. Daily number: 322 candles ÷ 5 = 65 a day. Melt: can your melter produce 13.13 kg of finished mix a day? One Mini melter at 4 candles a batch and 13 cycles a day gives about 52: no. Containers or moulds: jars do not cycle, so the test is whether 329 are in your workshop; moulds cycle, so moulds × cycles a day must reach 65. People: add the minutes for wicking, pouring, QC and packing for each day; where a day exceeds one person's usable minutes, you need a helper that day. The smallest of the three capacities is your real rate. In the worked example the melt binds; a second Mini fixes it, a helper on three days fixes the team, and the order fits only if the candle is already proven and the materials are already in hand.
One line: 65 a day for 5 days; fix the melt with a second Mini, the team with a helper on days 5, 6 and 8, and never touch the 72-hour set.
The melt fix, priced: a second Mini Electric Wax/Soap Melter (₹2,360.00), 13 packs of Wick Centering Device (₹1,534.00), two Large pitchers (₹1,416.00) and a Pen Thermometer (₹354.00) come to ₹5,664.00. All in stock on 7 October 2026. Confirm dispatch to your city on WhatsApp first: on a 10-day order the parcel date is part of the plan.

The wedding order as numbers, and why 10 days is 5

A wedding date is the one deadline in this business that never moves.

Your title gives two figures: 300 candles and 10 days. Everything else below is a labelled worked example. Replace each with yours. The fill weight matters most: the title gives none, so this page uses the series default of 200 g at 8% (16 g of oil and 184 g of wax a candle), which makes the order 60 kg of finished candle, 4.8 kg of oil and 55.2 kg of wax. If your wedding candle is a 100 g favour, every kilogram halves, but the day count below does not change.

From 10 calendar days to a daily number · worked example, day 1 = a Monday
Reader's figures from the title: 300 candles, 10 days · the 72-hour set is a planning judgement · counts declared
Step Figure Why
Calendar days 10 Reader's figure (title): delivery on day 10
Working days 9 Day 7 is a Sunday off. Working it is possible, and it is tested below
Set-up day 1 Sample approved, materials already in the workshop and checked, jars washed and wicked for day 2
Last pour day 6 Delivery day 10 − a day to pack (day 9) − 72 hours of set before lidding
Pouring days 5 Days 2 to 6
Saleable candles 300 Reader's figure (title)
+ Planned extras 10 4 QC retains + 6 burn-check candles
+ Loss buffer (4%) 12 Rejects: sinkholes, off-centre wicks, chipped jars; use your own history
Candles to pour 322 Extras and losses counted separately
Daily number 65 (64.40) 322 ÷ 5; days 2–5 pour 65, day 6 pours 62

The trap is 300 ÷ 10 = 30 a day. Half of the ten days cannot hold a pour that will be ready on time. The 72 hours are a planning judgement, not a rule: Jasmine's page states "a cure time of 48-72 hours" for soy, and many makers prefer a week or more before judging throw. A 10-day wedding order cannot give the last candles a week, so the guests' candles keep curing after delivery (the curing-in-transit post). If the client asks you to pour on day 8 to "catch up", the answer is no: that is a soft, unset candle in a box (the shortening-cure post).

Mistake: counting day 1 as a pouring day when the materials are still in transit. Why it fails: every day the wax arrives late comes straight off the pouring days, and there are only five. CSI does not publish dispatch or transit times. Fix: treat "materials in my workshop" as a condition of accepting. If you must order, ask us on WhatsApp for stock and a dispatch date first, and count the 10 days from the day the parcel arrives, not from the day you pay.

Constraint A: melt capacity

Kilograms per batch × batches per day ÷ fill weight. That is the whole formula; the inputs are where people guess.

You need 13.13 kg of finished mix on each full pour day (65 candles × 200 g, plus a 1% heel). Work out what each melting set-up can actually deliver in a day, using your own timed cycle. The worked example uses a 30-minute cycle for the Mini (melt flakes to temperature, add and stir fragrance, pour out) and 408 usable minutes in an 8-hour day.

Melt capacity against the daily number · worked example
Needed: 65 candles (13.13 kg of mix) a pour day · batch sizes from page capacities and the 0.86–0.9 g per ml rule of thumb · cycle times are worked examples
Set-up Per batch Batches a day Candles a day Against 65
One Mini melter, 1 litre (your current kit, worked example) about 860–900 g = 4 candles 13 at 30 min 52 fails by 13
Two Mini melters 4 candles each 13 each 104 passes
WAX MELTER 10 kgs capacity 10 kg of mix = 50 candles 2 (worked example) 100 passes, with idle capacity
One Mini + working Sunday (6 pour days) 4 candles 13 52 still fails: needs 54

So in this worked example the melt is the binding constraint. One Mini melter can pour 260 candles in five days; after 10 extras and a 4% buffer that is about 240 saleable, not 300. Even giving up the Sunday does not save it (54 a day needed, 52 possible). A second Mini at ₹2,360.00 doubles the melt. The 10 kg WAX MELTER also passes, but its page claims ("melt 9.5 liters of candle wax and create 80 candles at a time"; 80 candles from 10 kg is about 125 g each) describe capacity this order does not need: at 200 g a full melt is 50 candles. We sell the 10 kg melter. For 300 candles you do not need it.

Mistake: running the Mini on Gear II because it is faster. Why it matters: the Mini's page says Gear II "reaches up to 100-120°C", above Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464's stated "Pour Temperature 80°C – 90°C"; long holds hot can drive off lighter top notes, and a delicate white floral is the scent you least want to flatten. Fix: melt to the wax page's figure, check every batch with a Pen Thermometer, and add fragrance by weight to each batch: at 4 candles a batch that is 81 weigh-outs of 64 g, so write each one on the batch sheet.

A bigger batch also mixes differently. Moving from a 1-litre pot to 10 kg changes how wax heats, holds and distributes fragrance; if you do switch melters mid-order, treat the first full melt as a process check (the bigger-melter revalidation post).

Constraint B: containers and moulds

A jar holds its candle for ever. A mould has to give it back before it can make another.

Jar candles do not cycle. Each candle sets in its own jar, so the container constraint is simply count and condition: 329 clean, checked jars (322 poured plus 2% for chips and breakage) in your workshop on day 1, and enough centring devices for one day's pour. At 65 pours a day that is 65 devices in use at once, reused each morning: 13 packs of Wick Centering Device (₹1,534.00). Check one jar from each carton against your approved sample (height, opening, base thickness); a different batch of glass can behave like a different jar (the slightly-different-jar post).

Moulded pillars do cycle, and they bind first. Moulds needed = candles a day ÷ cycles per mould per day, rounded up, plus spares. Demould time is not stated on CSI mould pages; use your own. In a worked example where a pillar sets well enough to demould by the next pour (two cycles in 24 hours, morning and evening), 65 a day needs 33 moulds, 35 with two spares. At one cycle a day it is 65 plus spares.

If the 300 are moulded pillars · mould count at the same daily number
Cycle counts are worked examples · CSI mould pages state no demould time or cavity weight · moulds are sold singly
Cycles per mould a day Moulds for 65 a day With 2 spares At Pillar Candle Mould ₹942.82 each Verdict
2 (pour morning and evening) 33 35 ₹32,998.70 a large spend for one order
1 (overnight set) 65 67 ₹63,168.94 not realistic in 10 days

That is before the bigger problem: a pillar is a different candle. It needs a pillar wax (CSI's Soy Pillar Wax is ₹6,000.00 for 10 kg; 60 kg would be ₹36,000.00), a wick tested for a free-standing burn, and a fill weight you have weighed from your own mould, because CSI's mould pages state none. If you have not made this pillar before, it does not fit 10 days at any mould count. Mould arithmetic for longer timelines, including a six-hour demould, is the demould-time post, and full sculptural-order planning is the sculptural-wedding-candles post.

Mixed orders are common at weddings
If the client wants 250 jar candles for favours and 50 pillars for the stage, run the two constraints separately: the jars need melt and hands; the pillars need moulds and a proven pillar formula. Fifty pillars at two cycles a day over five days is five moulds plus a spare, a very different conversation from 35.

Constraint C: your team, day by day

Total hours can look fine while one Friday breaks the plan.

People-hours are where the averages lie. Add up the whole order and it looks easy: 2,774 people-minutes, about 6.8 person-days across nine working days. But the work is not spread evenly. Packing cannot start until the first candles finish their 72-hour set on day 5, and from then on pouring and packing overlap. Wedding packing is slow: ribbon, tag, a box, sometimes a printed card. The worked example uses 4.5 minutes a candle for QC and packing, plus 1.0 minute to wick, 1.25 to pour and 60 fixed minutes on each pour day for weighing out, tending the melters and cleaning down.

People-minutes per day · worked example · one person = 408 usable minutes
Wick the day before pouring · QC and pack after the 72-hour set · timings are worked examples: time your own over 20 candles
Day Work Minutes People needed
1 (Mon) set-up; wick 65 jars for day 2 185 one
2–4 pour 65 a day; wick the next day's jars 206 one
5 (Fri) pour 65; wick 62; QC and pack day 2's pour 496 1.22
6 (Sat) pour the last 62; QC and pack day 3's pour 430 1.05
7 (Sun) off: candles set — none
8 (Mon) QC and pack days 4 and 5 (130 candles) 585 1.43
9 (Tue) QC and pack day 6's pour; final count and paperwork 339 one
10 (Wed) load and deliver 120 one

One person can do days 1–4, 9 and 10. Days 5, 6 and 8 need a helper (3 helper-days; at a worked-example ₹700.00 a day, ₹2,100.00). Line that person up before you say yes. Packing alone is 24.1 hours across the order. If no helper exists, the order is a 250-candle order, or the packing standard has to get simpler, and that is the client's decision, not something to discover on day 8. The station-by-station version of this model is the maximum-capacity post.

Packing is the step people under-time
Time 20 candles through your real wedding packing (wipe, label, ribbon, tag, box, crate) before you quote. If it is 6 minutes rather than 4.5, day 8 alone becomes 780 minutes, almost two people.

The 10-day schedule and the materials

Put every candle on a day, then put every kilogram in the workshop before day 1.

With two Mini melters and a helper on three days, the plan closes. Here it is as a schedule, then as a purchase sheet. The sheet assumes your proven candle is Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464 with Jasmine at 8% and an Eco C2 wick in your own 200 g jar; if yours differs, swap the products and keep the arithmetic.

CSI materials ₹55,130.20 ₹183.77 a saleable candle
Kit for the plan (one-off) second Mini, 13 centring packs, 2 pitchers, thermometer ₹5,664.00 reusable

₹183.77 a saleable candle is wax, oil and wick only, buffers included; it excludes your jars, labour, ribbons and boxes, freight and GST. CSI 464 is ₹507.40 a kilo from the 1 kg bag to the 10 kg, so six 10 kg bags cost exactly what sixty 1 kg bags would. On Jasmine the 1 kg bottle is ₹1.00 dearer than two 500 g, so 11 × 500 g (₹21,571.00) is ₹5.00 cheaper than 5 × 1 kg + 500 g. Eco C2 wicks are ₹9.44 each in every pack, so 330 is bought as 3 × 100 + 20 + 10, not a 500-pack. Ask whether all 11 Jasmine bottles can come from one lot; if two lots arrive, sniff and burn one candle of each side by side before mixing them into the run.

Honest gap: brides often ask for mogra or rajnigandha. Both CSI listings are out of stock on 7 October 2026. Raat Ki Rani (Night-Blooming Jasmine) is in stock (page: "Recommended fragrance load is 6-10% for candles"), but at ₹6,774.00 a kilo it costs ₹108.38 of oil a candle against ₹62.75 for Jasmine, and it is a different scent that would need its own approved sample. Never swap the oil after the client approves; ask us on WhatsApp what is coming back before you promise a scent.

Accept, cut scope, or decline

The date is fixed, so the only things you can change are scope and capacity.

Most orders have three levers: date, quantity and capacity. A wedding takes the first away. So the decision rule is: accept if your smallest constraint reaches 65 candles a day for 5 days with the candle already proven and the materials already in hand; otherwise offer the quantity your smallest constraint supports, or decline.

Three answers to the same bride · same 10 days
Rates from the tables above (worked example) · every row assumes a proven candle and materials in hand on day 1
Your set-up Binding constraint Candles a day Saleable by day 10 Answer
One Mini, you alone melt, then people 52 about 240 Offer 240, or decline
Two Minis, helper on days 5, 6, 8 none binding 65 needed (104 melt) 300 Yes, with conditions
Pillars from moulds, no proven pillar formula and moulds — none safely Decline the pillars; offer jars

Four things are never traded for the date. The proven candle: this jar, wick, Jasmine and load, burned to the end before the order (development calendars are the new-fragrance post and the new-jar-fragrance-colour post; neither fits in 10 days). The 72-hour set. Colour: a custom wedding shade needs pilot batches judged in wax, not liquid (the dusty-pink pilot post); if it is not already matched, offer white. Burn checks during production: two a day, so a drifting batch shows while you can act. The full never-skip list is the never-skip post.

Then protect the yes, as practical judgement rather than legal advice. Put the sample approval, quantity, packing standard, delivery time and place in writing on day 1. Take an advance that at least covers anything you cannot reuse: ribbons, printed tags, a custom colour. Jasmine, CSI 464 and C2 wicks are standard stock you can use again; a bride's monogrammed tags are not. And agree in writing that changes after day 1 cannot be made in this timeline. A ten-day order has no room for a second sample round.

This page is for you if you have a short, fixed wedding date, a candle you already make, and need to know whether melt, moulds or people will run out first. It is not enough if the bride wants a new scent, jar or colour: that is development (6311, 6312), and it does not fit 10 days. For bigger orders with more time, the full feasibility test is the 1,000-in-21-days hub.

[1 Year Warranty] Mini Electric Wax/Soap Melter (1 litre capacity)
The page states "1 litre capacity, dual power modes (300W and 600W)", says Gear I reaches "approximately 70-85°C" and Gear II "up to 100-120°C", and that "The ideal melting range for most candle waxes is 80-90°C". Read those as the page's claims. Gear II can run above Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464's stated 80°C–90°C pour range, so check every batch with a Pen Thermometer. One litre is roughly 860–900 g of wax (rule of thumb), so 4 × 200 g candles a batch. Argued against our own interest: for this one order a second Mini closes the melt gap for ₹2,360.00; the 10 kg melter would cost ₹18,880.00 more. Limitation: 81 separate fragrance weigh-outs of 64 g each, so weighing discipline matters.

tool · keeps 65 wicks straight a day · reusable
Wick Centering Device (Pack of 5)
Wooden centring bars; the page says they suit an opening "less than 4"" (about 10 cm) and hold wicks straight "while the wax sets". At 65 pours a day you need 65 in use at once, reused the next morning: 13 packs (₹1,534.00, ₹23.60 each). Bamboo Wick Holder sets do the same job at the same price. Limitation: a centring bar does not fix a wick that was stuck off-centre; check the tab before you pour.

tool · pouring from a small melter
Steel Pouring Pitcher Large (600 ML)
The page gives "Capacity: 600 ml" and "12W x 13H Centimeters". On the rule of thumb that is about 516–540 g of wax, two candles a fill with room to pour cleanly. Two pitchers let one cool slightly while the other pours. The Small (150 ML) is out of stock on 7 October 2026.
Size Price Holds For this order
Large (600 ML) ₹708.00 about 516–540 g of wax a fill two = ₹1,416.00
Small (150 ML) ₹354.00 — Out of stock on 7 October 2026
Two Large pitchers = ₹1,416.00. Buy Large — ₹708.00

Argued against our own interest: skip the 10 kg melter for this order (a second Mini closes the gap for ₹18,880.00 less), skip the 1 kg Jasmine bottles, skip a new pillar range, and do not buy any of it until the bride has approved the sample in writing and paid the advance. If she has not approved by day 1, the honest reply is a smaller quantity, not a bigger order from us.

Wedding season is commonly cited as roughly November to February, and Diwali falls on 8 November 2026. Short-notice wedding orders arrive in clusters. Keep your proven formula's wax, oil and wicks in stock before the season rather than ordering per wedding: CSI cannot promise dispatch days or stock depth in advance. Send us your list on WhatsApp for a quote with a GST invoice and a dispatch date.

The CSI principle
Find the smallest of your three capacities. That, not your hopes, is your daily rate.
For 300 candles in 10 days: 65 a day for 5 pouring days. One Mini melter fails the melt test; a second one passes it. A helper on three days passes the team test. Nothing passes the test of an unproven candle.
"You can add a melter in a day and a helper in a week. You cannot add days to a wedding."

Why trust this guide

CandleMakingSuppliesIndia sells the melters, wax, oil, wicks and tools named here, and does not sell finished candles. This page still tells you that our 10 kg melter is more than this order needs, that our 1 kg Jasmine costs more than two 500 g bottles, that the floral oils brides ask for most are out of stock with us, and that a pillar range is not something to start in 10 days.

Every CSI price was checked on the live store on 7 October 2026, per size. Every item priced on this page is in stock on that date except the Steel Pouring Pitcher Small, which is marked; Mogra and Rajnigandha are out of stock and not offered. Melter and wax wording is quoted as written, with our arithmetic beside it.

The 200 g fill, 8% load, day-1 Monday, set-up day, 72-hour set, cycle times, usable minutes, task timings, buffers, helper rate and mould cycles are labelled worked examples for you to replace; the 0.86–0.9 g per ml figure is a rule of thumb. This is practical business judgement, not legal or financial advice. Frequently asked questions

How many candles can I make in 10 days for a wedding?
As many as your smallest constraint allows over your real pouring days. With delivery on day 10, a 72-hour set and a packing day, only days 2–6 are pouring days on a six-day week. 300 candles plus extras and buffer means 65 a day. One 1-litre Mini melter manages about 52 a day in the worked example; two manage about 104.
How many candles does a 1 litre wax melter make?
About 4 candles of 200 g a batch, because a litre holds roughly 860–900 g of wax on the common rule of thumb. Candles a day depend on your cycle time: at 30 minutes and 408 usable minutes, about 52.
How many candle moulds do I need for 300 pillar candles?
Moulds = candles a day ÷ cycles per mould a day, plus spares. For 65 a day at two cycles a day that is 33 moulds, 35 with spares. Use your own demould time: CSI mould pages do not state one.
Can I shorten candle curing for a wedding order?
Do not pack candles that have not set. This plan keeps 72 hours from pour to packing, the top of the 48–72 hour soy cure Jasmine's page states. The candles keep curing after delivery; what you cannot do is pour on day 8 for a day-10 wedding.
How much wax and fragrance for 300 candles?
At 200 g and 8%, 60 kg of finished candle: 4.8 kg of oil and 55.2 kg of wax. With 10 extras, a 4% buffer and a 1% heel, buy 60 kg of wax and 5.5 kg of oil. At CSI that is ₹30,444.00 of Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464 and ₹21,571.00 of Jasmine as 11 × 500 g.
Do I need extra staff for a 300 candle order?
Probably for a few days, not all of them. In the worked example one person covers most days, but days 5, 6 and 8 need 1.22, 1.05 and 1.43 people because pouring and wedding packing overlap after the first 72-hour set.
300 wedding candles in 10 days
Turn 10 days into 5 pouring days, test melt, moulds and people against 65 a day, and fix the one that binds.
60 kg of CSI 464, 5.5 kg of Jasmine and 330 wicks come to ₹55,130.20. Ten days leaves no room for a late parcel, so send us the list before you say yes. We will confirm stock and a dispatch date, or tell you plainly that we can't make your timeline.

Editorial standards & sources
About this guide: part of CSI's cluster "Can I actually accept this order?" (6301–6320) in the series on bulk corporate and wedding candle orders × raw materials. It covers a three-constraint check (melt capacity, containers and moulds, people-minutes) plus cure days for a 300-candle, 10-day wedding order, a worked 10-day schedule, a purchase sheet rounded to in-stock CSI packs and the accept / cut scope / decline decision.

Non-price figures: 300 candles and 10 days are the reader's figures (title). The 200 g fill and 8% load are the series defaults; load is a percentage of total candle weight (200 g at 8% = 16 g oil + 184 g wax). Day 1 as a Monday with Sunday off, the single set-up day, the 72-hour set, 10 planned extras, 4% loss buffer, 1% heel, 2% piece breakage, the 30-minute Mini cycle, 85% availability, task timings (wick 1.0, pour 1.25, QC and pack 4.5 minutes, 60 fixed minutes), the helper at ₹700.00 a day and the mould cycles are labelled worked examples; the 0.86–0.9 g per ml factor is a rule of thumb. Melter wording is the product pages'. Wax and oil ceilings are as the pages state (CSI 464 up to 10%; Jasmine up to 10% in soy): formulation limits, not regulatory ones. Costs exclude jars, labour, packaging, freight and GST unless stated. Wedding season as roughly November–February is a common pattern, not data; Diwali 8 November 2026 is a calendar fact.
