CSI Bulk Orders · 1,000 Candles in 15 Days
Fifteen calendar days is ten pouring days. Count in kilograms, not candles: with extras, rejects and heel you process 21.45 kg of finished mix every pouring day. Here is the calendar, the daily wax and oil, the weighing discipline and the date your own workshop can honestly offer.
21.45 kg a day
of finished mix over 10 pouring days (19.74 kg wax + 1.72 kg oil) · CSI live pricing, October 2026
Quick answers — read this first
How many kilograms of candle mix a day for 1,000 candles in 15 days? At 200 g, 1,000 candles are 200 kg of finished mix. Fifteen calendar days give 10 pouring days once you take out two Sundays, one set-up day and two days for final QC and packing (worked example). That is 20 kg a day for saleable candles alone, and 21.45 kg a day once you add 12 planned extras, a 5% loss buffer and a 1% heel allowance.

How much oil and wax is that each day? At 8%: 1.72 kg of fragrance and 19.74 kg of wax every production day, about 106.2 candles. In practice, three equal melts of 7.15 kg: 572 g of oil and 6,579 g of wax each.

And at 150 g? 160.89 kg in all, 16.09 kg a day (1.29 kg oil + 14.80 kg wax).

Can I do it? Only if you can process that much every production day for ten days straight, the candle is already proven in this jar, and the materials are on your floor before day 1. If your workshop handles about 10 kg a day, the honest date is day 29, not day 15.
The short answer
The number: 21.45 kg of finished mix per production day (19.74 kg wax + 1.72 kg oil at 8%), over 10 pouring days, for 1,062 candles poured.
The calendar: 15 days − 2 Sundays = 13 working days; − 1 set-up − 2 tail = 10 pouring days. The last pour is day 12, so its 72-hour set ends on day 15.
What the kg means: three melts a day, about 30 weigh-outs of oil over the order, two people, and a weighing error of 10 g on oil moving the load between 7.91% and 8.09%.
Materials: 198 kg of Premium Coconut Soy Wax CSI 468, 17.5 kg of British Rose, 1,090 Eco C2 wicks: ₹1,90,203.60 in CSI materials before your jars, all on hand before day 1.
1,000 × 200 g in 15 days: kilograms a day Worked example: finished mix per calendar day, with buffers and heel. 0 10 20 30 kg of mix 1 full melt 2 full melts 3 full melts 1 set-up 2 3 4 5 6 7 Sun 8 9 10 11 12 13 pack 14 Sun 15 pack day 21.45 kg a day wax 19.74 kg oil 1.72 kg = three melts of 7.15 kg a day 1,062 candles poured over 10 pouring days; saleable-only would be 20 kg a day. Day 1 a Monday, 6-day week, buffers and calendar are labelled worked examples.
Worked-example 15-day calendar, day 1 a Monday. Day 1 is set-up, days 7 and 14 are Sundays, and days 13 and 15 are final QC, packing and hand-over. On each of the ten pouring days you process 21.45 kg of finished mix (19.74 kg wax in black, 1.72 kg oil hatched), more than two full 10 kg melts, so plan three equal melts of 7.15 kg. Saleable candles alone would need 20 kg a day.
Straight answer
I need 1,000 candles in 15 days — how many kilograms of finished candle mixture must I process every working day?
About 21.45 kg a day, over 10 pouring days, for 200 g candles. The arithmetic: 1,000 × 200 g = 200 kg of finished mix for the saleable candles, 20 kg a day if every one were perfect. Add 12 planned extras (retains and burn checks), a 5% loss buffer and a 1% heel allowance, and you make 214.52 kg in all. Fifteen calendar days are 13 working days on a 6-day week; one set-up day and two tail days (the last pour on day 12 needs its 72-hour set before packing on day 15) leave 10 pouring days. 214.52 kg ÷ 10 = 21.45 kg a day: 19.74 kg of wax and 1.72 kg of oil at 8%, about 106.2 candles. On a 10 kg melter that is more than two full melts, so run three equal melts of 7.15 kg. At 150 g it is 16.09 kg a day. Say yes only if your workshop can process that every day for ten days, the formula is already proven in this jar, and the materials are confirmed to arrive before day 1. If you can do about 10 kg a day, the honest date is day 29.
One line: 21.45 kg of mix a day for ten pouring days, three melts a day, every gram weighed and recorded; if that is not your workshop, it is not your date.
Ten days of wax and oil, priced: 198 kg of Premium Coconut Soy Wax CSI 468 (₹1,26,165.00) and 17.5 kg of British Rose Fragrance Oil (₹53,749.00), about ₹17,991.40 a production day on average. In stock on 7 October 2026; dispatch in time for day 1 is confirmed on WhatsApp, not promised here.

From 15 calendar days to 10 pouring days

Fifteen days sounds like fifteen days of pouring. It is ten.

The title gives two figures: 1,000 candles and 15 days. Everything else is a labelled worked example: a 200 g fill at 8% on total weight (the series default: 16 g of oil and 184 g of wax per candle), a 6-day week, and day 1 a Monday.

The calendar · 1,000 candles in 15 days
Reader's figures (title): 1,000 candles, 15 days · the week, set-up, tail and buffers are labelled worked examples · counts declared
Step Days Which days
Calendar days 15 Reader's figure (title)
− Sundays 2 Days 7 and 14
= Working days 13 1–6, 8–13, 15
− Set-up 1 Day 1: approval sample signed, materials checked in and lot-recorded, melt sheet written, pilot melt
− Tail 2 Days 13 and 15: final QC and packing; the day-12 pour finishes its 72-hour set on day 15
= Pouring days 10 Days 2–6 and 8–12

One set-up day is only possible if the wax, oil, wicks and jars are already on your floor, or confirmed to arrive by the morning of day 1. If they are not, every pouring day shifts and the last pour misses its 72-hour set. The plan uses 72 hours as a planning judgement (many CSI oil pages state 48–72 hours of cure for soy before burn testing; British Rose's states none in the text we captured). How cure age should be kept the same across candles poured on different days is the cure-standardisation post.

Mistake: dividing by 15. Why it fails: 200 kg ÷ 15 = 13.33 kg a day looks comfortable, but two of those days are Sundays, one is set-up and two are packing. Plan on that figure and you reach day 12 with about a third of the order still to pour. Fix: divide by pouring days. The rate version of this trap, in candles rather than kilograms, is the daily-rate post.

Kilograms a day, wax and oil, at 200 g and 150 g

Kilograms are the honest unit. Candles hide the extras, the rejects and the wax left in the pot.

Count what you actually process, not what you sell. Planned extras (12: 4 retains and 8 burn checks, more than usual because a 15-day plan has no slack to find a problem late) and a 5% loss buffer for rejects are separate lines; the 1% heel is wax left in the melter and pitchers. How big those buffers should be from your own records is the production-buffer post.

Daily kilograms · 1,000 saleable · 8% on total weight
1,062 poured = 1,000 + 12 extras + 50 loss buffer (5%) · heel 1% of mix · 10 pouring days · all buffers labelled worked examples
Fill Mix for the order Mix a day Wax a day Oil a day In melts
Saleable only, 200 g 200 kg 20 kg 18.40 kg 1.60 kg two full 10 kg melts
With buffers, 200 g 214.52 kg 21.45 kg 19.74 kg 1.72 kg three melts of 7.15 kg
With buffers, 150 g 160.89 kg 16.09 kg 14.80 kg 1.29 kg two melts of about 8 kg

Why three equal melts rather than two full ones and a small third? Every melt then uses the same recipe card (6,579 g of wax, 572 g of oil), the same stir time and the same pour-out, so melt 1 and melt 30 are made the same way. A part-melt of 1.45 kg is easy to get wrong on the oil, and small batches heat and cool differently from big ones. That is judgement, not a rule; if your melter's own cycle favours two full melts and a small one, keep the oil ratio exact. For how many candles one melter can turn out in a day, see the one-melter post; for the batch count on a much larger order, the 5,000-in-30-days post.

Load is on total weight
8% of a 7.15 kg melt is 572 g of oil and 6,579 g of wax, adding up to the melt. Adding 8% of the wax weight instead gives 7.41% of total: a smaller load and a heavier candle. Pick one basis, write it on the melt sheet, and never mix them across a team.

What 21 kg a day means for weighing

At this volume a small weighing habit becomes a large batch error.

Ten pouring days at three melts a day is 30 oil weigh-outs and 30 wax weigh-outs, plus a weighed fill on every QC candle. A 10 g slip on the oil in a 10 kg-equivalent melt moves the load from 8% to between 7.91% and 8.09%; a 50 g slip on the wax moves it between 7.96% and 8.04%. One slip changes one melt. A scale that reads 10 g light every time changes all of them: 30 g of oil a day, 300 g across the order, without anyone noticing.

The weigh-out discipline · per melt and per day
Judgement for a 15-day order · the scale page states no capacity or resolution: check yours
What How Why
Check the scale daily Weigh a known object each morning and write the reading down A drifting scale moves every melt the same way
Separate scales for wax and oil One scale per material, never re-tared mid-weigh The forgotten tare is the commonest load error
Pre-weigh oil Weigh each melt's 572 g into a labelled, lidded container the evening before Fewer decisions at the melter; easy to see a missed melt
Weigh wax in portions if needed If the scale cannot take 6,579 g, weigh in equal portions and record each Each portion is a chance to lose count
Record every melt Melt number, wax lot, oil lot, grams, add and pour temperature, stir time, candles poured Traces any complaint to a melt

Staffing follows the kilograms. About 106.2 candles a day, at the worked-example labour figure used in the hub post (5.25 hands-on minutes a candle plus an hour of fixed work), is 1.51 people-shifts: two people, with one owning the weighing and the melt sheet. A batch record good enough to reproduce the candle months later is the record-keeping post.

Mistake: pouring the last of a 1 kg bottle into a melt "because it's nearly the right amount". Why it fails: 1 kg is not 572 g. Two bottles a day emptied by eye can add or drop several grams a melt, and an oil running low in its bottle is often the moment someone guesses. Fix: weigh every melt's oil to the gram; leftover oil goes into the next pre-weighed container, never by eye into the melter. Stir each melt for the same time; how long for a large batch is the large-batch mixing post.

Does your daily kg fit? The delivery-day table

The settling number is not 1,000 candles. It is the kilograms you can process in a normal day.

Take the mix the order needs (214.52 kg), divide by the kilograms your workshop can process in a normal day, round up, and add the three non-pouring working days (one set-up, two tail). That gives the date you can honestly offer.

Your daily kilograms → the delivery day · same 214.52 kg order
Pouring days = 214.52 kg ÷ kg a day, rounded up · working days = pouring + 1 set-up + 2 tail · calendar day on a 6-day week from day 1 (Monday)
You can process Pouring days Working days Delivery day Answer
10 kg a day (one full melt) 22 25 day 29 Offer day 29, or a split
15 kg a day 15 18 day 20 Offer day 20
21.45 kg a day (three melts) 10 13 day 15 Yes, with conditions, no spare day
30 kg a day 8 11 day 12 Yes, with three days in hand

The decision rule: accept with conditions only if your normal day processes at least 21.45 kg of mix, with the people to pour, finish and pack what that produces; otherwise offer the date in the table for your figure. At exactly 21.45 kg there is no spare day, so a lost day in week one comes off the 72-hour set or the QC. A day or two in hand is worth negotiating for (the spare-capacity post).

CSI materials ₹1,90,203.60 ₹190.20 a saleable candle

₹190.20 a candle is CSI materials with buffers; it excludes your jars, labour, freight, packaging and GST. Comparing ingredients per gram before you buy is the cost-per-gram post. On the wax, the 5 kg and 10 kg bags save ₹2,535.00 against 198 × 1 kg (₹1,28,700.00); twenty 10 kg bags would cost ₹1,27,400.00 and leave 2.64 kg spare. On jars, 1,083 pieces should be measured on arrival like any batch of glass, and how much extra wax a 1,000-jar run really needs is the extra-wax-for-1,000-jars post.

Argued against our own interest: if CSI cannot confirm on WhatsApp that this list will arrive before your day 1, do not accept day 15 and hope. Offer the client a date that starts when the materials arrive. And do not buy a 1 kg of a second rose "in case": the order is one oil, from one lot if we can supply it, and a second oil is a second candle.

This page is for you if you have a proven candle, 1,000 to make and 15 days, and need the daily kilograms to plan melts, weighing and people. It is not enough if the client wants a new scent, jar or colour: in 15 days that is a different, later date (the no-time-to-test post). Ask first whether the 15 days include delivery transit: if they do, your last pour moves earlier.

Premium Coconut Soy Wax CSI 468 (Flakes Form) For Container Candles
The worked example assumes this is the wax your candle is already proven in; with 15 days you cannot switch waxes. The page states "Melting Point 50°C – 53°C", "Pour Temperature 58°C – 60°C" and "Fragrance Load Up to 13%", and claims "minimal frosting" and "low soot output". 8% sits well inside the ceiling. It costs ₹637.00 a kilo from the 5 kg bag up, 2% less than the 1 kg. Argued against our own interest: the 10 kg bag is no cheaper per kilo than the 5 kg, so buy to the kilo; and if your proven wax is Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464, stay on it (198 kg would be ₹1,00,465.20), because a new wax is a new candle.

British Rose Fragrance Oil
CSI describes it as "fresh, dewy rose petals with subtle green undertones and a soft floral finish", and the listing states "candles (up to 10% soy, up to 6% paraffin)". In the text we captured it states no cure time. Every size is in stock on 7 October 2026. The 1 kg is ₹118.00 cheaper than two 500 g bottles, but the order needs 17.16 kg, so 17 × 1 kg + one 500 g (₹53,749.00) beats 18 × 1 kg (₹55,224.00) by ₹1,475.00. Two 100 g bottles instead of the 500 g (₹52,840.40 for 17.2 kg) would leave 38 g: too thin for a 15-day order. Limitation: 17.5 kg should come from one lot; ask.

Candle Making Weighing Scale
At 21.45 kg a day you weigh out roughly 19.74 kg of wax and 1.72 kg of oil every production day, three times a day. The page says the scale reads "grams or ounces" but states no capacity or resolution in the text we captured, so check what it will take before you plan to weigh 6.6 kg of wax in one go; if it cannot, weigh in portions and record each one. Two scales, one for wax and one for oil, remove the commonest error: a tare forgotten between the two. Argued against our own interest: if you already own a scale that weighs a full melt to the gram, use it for wax and buy only one of ours for oil.

Bamboo Stirring Sticks for Mixing Wax
Thirty melts in ten days means thirty stirs. A fresh stick per melt keeps each melt's oil from carrying into the next, and a note of stir time on the batch sheet is how you know melt 1 and melt 30 were mixed the same way. A 50-pack covers the order with spares. Limitation: a stick is fine for a 7 kg melt in a wide vessel; how long to stir a big batch so the first and last candle match is a question of method, not of tools.

The CSI principle
Divide by pouring days, count in kilograms, and weigh every gram.
For 1,000 × 200 g in 15 days that is 21.45 kg of mix a day over 10 pouring days: 19.74 kg of wax and 1.72 kg of oil, three equal melts, two people, and materials on the floor before day 1. If your normal day is smaller, your honest date is later.

Why trust this guide

CandleMakingSuppliesIndia sells the wax, oil, scales, stirrers and wicks named here, and does not sell finished candles. This page still tells you that our 10 kg wax bag saves nothing over our 5 kg, to buy 17.5 kg of rose rather than 18 kg, to use your own scale if it is good enough, to stay on CSI 464 if that is your proven wax, and to turn down day 15 if we cannot confirm your materials in time.

Every CSI price was checked on the live store on 7 October 2026, and stock was checked per size: every item priced here is in stock on that date. The Eco C1 10-pack is out of stock and not used. Stock depth for 198 kg of wax or 17.5 kg of one oil, and dispatch dates, are not shown on product pages; lot continuity is not promised.

The 200 g and 150 g fills, the 8% load, the 6-day week, day 1 as a Monday, set-up and tail days, the 72-hour set, 12 extras, 5% rejects, 1% heel, 2% piece buffer, three-melt split, weighing slips and the labour figure are labelled worked examples for you to replace; the weigh-out discipline is judgement. Frequently asked questions

How much wax do I need per day to make 1,000 candles in two weeks?
For 200 g candles at 8% fragrance, 15 calendar days give about 10 pouring days after Sundays, set-up and packing. With extras, a 5% reject buffer and a 1% heel, that is 21.45 kg of finished mix a day: 19.74 kg of wax and 1.72 kg of fragrance oil.
How many kg of wax for 1,000 candles of 200 g?
At 8% fragrance on total weight, 184 kg of wax and 16 kg of oil for the saleable candles. With 12 extras, a 5% reject buffer and a 1% heel allowance, buy about 198 kg of wax and 17.5 kg of oil. At CSI that is ₹1,26,165.00 of Premium Coconut Soy Wax CSI 468 and ₹53,749.00 of British Rose.
How many melts a day on a 10 kg melter for 1,000 candles in 15 days?
21.45 kg a day is more than two full 10 kg melts. Three equal melts of 7.15 kg (6,579 g wax + 572 g oil each) keep every melt on the same recipe card and stir time.
How accurate does my scale need to be for bulk candle production?
Accurate enough that a slip does not move your load noticeably. A 10 g error on the oil in a 10 kg melt shifts 8% to between 7.91% and 8.09%. Check the scale against a known weight daily, use one scale for wax and one for oil, pre-weigh each melt's oil, and record every melt. CSI's scale page does not state a capacity, so check yours.
Can I make 1,000 candles in 15 days on my own?
Rarely. About 106.2 candles a day for ten days is 1.51 people-shifts at the worked-example labour figure, so plan on two people. If your normal day processes about 10 kg of mix, the honest delivery date is day 29.
What if I use 150 g candles instead of 200 g?
The same order is 160.89 kg of mix, 16.09 kg a day over 10 pouring days: 14.80 kg of wax and 1.29 kg of oil. A smaller fill in a different jar is a different candle, though, and needs its own approved sample and burn test.

About this guide: part of CSI's cluster "Can I actually accept this order?" (6301–6320) in the series on bulk corporate and wedding candle orders × raw materials. It covers the kilograms of finished candle mix a workshop must process each working day to make 1,000 candles in 15 days: the calendar from 15 days to 10 pouring days, daily wax and oil at 200 g and 150 g, what that means for weighing and staffing, the delivery day for your own daily kilograms, and a purchase sheet that must be on hand before day 1.

Non-price figures: 1,000 candles and 15 days are the reader's figures (title). The 200 g fill and 8% load are the series default; load is a percentage of total candle weight (200 g at 8% = 16 g oil + 184 g wax). The 6-day week, day 1 as a Monday, one set-up day, two tail days, the 72-hour set, 12 extras, 5% rejects, 1% heel, 2% piece buffer, three equal melts, the 10 g and 50 g weighing slips, the daily-kilogram rows and the 5.25-minute labour figure (from post 6301) are labelled worked examples. CSI 468 states up to 13% and British Rose up to 10% in soy: formulation limits, not regulatory ones. Costs are materials only and exclude jars, labour, freight, packaging and GST. Diwali 8 November 2026 is a calendar fact.
