Strong Floral Fragrance Oils for Candle Making
शेयर करना
Is that a measurement? No. It is the page's own descriptive wording, written by the compounder. It is useful for shortlisting and useless for arbitration — nobody can hold anyone to a word.
What is the best structural predictor of throw? Base-note weight. Florals anchored on musk, amber, sandalwood or vanilla have more material that survives a cool soy melt pool than florals that live in the top and heart. That is reasoning, not data — but it is reasoning you can check against a note pyramid before you buy.
What actually settles it? Your own burn test, in your jar, at your load, after a full cure. One 100 g bottle at ₹342.20 to ₹700 buys ten test jars. That is the entire cost of knowing instead of guessing.
What "strong" can honestly mean
"Strong" is a buyer's word, not a measurement, and it collapses at least four separate properties into one syllable. Separating them is the single most useful thing this page can do, because three of the four are settled by decisions you make rather than by the bottle you buy.
| What "strong" means here | The proper name for it | What actually controls it | What a page can tell you |
|---|---|---|---|
| "It fills the room when it is burning" | Hot throw | Melt-pool area, wick size, load, cure, base-note weight, room volume | A strength or projection word, and the note structure. Never a measured result |
| "You can smell it on the shelf, unlit" | Cold throw | Top and heart volatility, surface area, vessel opening, cure | The top-note list. Three CSI floral reviews mention cold throw |
| "It is still there an hour later" | Longevity or tenacity | Base-note materials, wax type, burn discipline | The base-note list; Love Spell states its "Musk-vanilla base anchors the fragrance" |
| "I can use less of it" | Concentration | How the oil was compounded, and the stated load band | The stated load and, on fine-fragrance listings, a "start at 7%" instruction |
The stated words, quoted exactly
Here is every performance phrase published across the floral family, verbatim, with nothing added and nothing interpreted. Nine pages publish a strength field, eight publish a projection field, one publishes a longevity line only, and five publish nothing of the kind. A blank is not a criticism — it means the page's author declined to characterise the oil in words, which is a perfectly defensible thing to do.
| Fragrance oil | Stated wording, verbatim | Field it appears in | 1 kg |

| Jasmine | "Strong - excellent cold and hot throw in both candles and wax melts" | Strength | ₹3,923 |

| Raat Ki Rani | "Strength: Strong"; "A little goes a long way—use sparingly for subtle allure or more generously for a bold, lingering impression" | Strength | ₹6,774 |
| Smoked Rose Royale | "Projection: Strong presence"; "Longevity: Long-lasting warm base" | Performance Expectation | ₹7,999 |
| Vanilla Orange Blossom | "Projection High-impact - warm, radiant" | Projection | ₹8,294 |

Base-note weight: the one structural argument
Soy burns at a cooler melt-pool temperature than paraffin, and lighter, more volatile materials leave that pool faster than heavier ones. That is why a floral built on musk, amber, sandalwood or vanilla tends to stay legible across a long burn while one that lives in its top and heart can feel bright at first and thin by the end. This is standard perfumery reasoning rather than a CSI test result, and it is offered as reasoning — but it is checkable against every page in the family, because every page publishes a structure.
| Fragrance oil | Stated base, verbatim | What that suggests |
|---|---|---|
| Smoked Rose Royale | "Base Notes:Amber, musk, warm woody undertones" | The heaviest stated base in the family, under a smoky bakhoor heart. Built to persist |
| Rajnigandha (Tuberose) | "Base Notes: Soft Musk, Sandalwood" | A creamy white floral anchored on wood — unusual at ₹4,460 per kilo |
| Lavender Oud | "Base: Sandalwood, Amber, Tonka, Musk" | Four heavy materials; the page states a family of "Aromatic Woody" despite the lavender top |
| Vanilla Orange Blossom | "a vanilla, tonka bean, and white musk base" | Gourmand weight under a floral-citrus opening; also the strongest discolouration warning in the family |
| Raat Ki Rani | "Base Notes: Soft Amber, Musk" | Amber under night-blooming jasmine; the page states "Strength: Strong" |
| Jasmine Coconut Spa Ceylon | "Base Notes: Vanilla Cream, Sandalwood, Soft Musk" | Heavy base, but no candle load is published on this page |
| Japanese Cherry Blossom | "Base Notes Sandalwood, musk" | More weight than a cherry-blossom scent usually carries; explains the 13% top of its band |
| Jasmine | "Undertone Subtle musk - warm, slightly indolic depth that makes the jasmine feel real" | A single note with a stated musk undertone rather than a separate base tier |
| Lavender | "Base Notes Soft musk - warm, rounded, longevity on skin and in wax" | The only page in the family to use the word longevity about wax specifically |
| British Rose | No separate base tier published; stated as "Single note - British Rose" with green and soft floral undertones | A true single note. Strength comes from concentration, not from an anchor |
| Neroli | No separate base tier published; "bright neroli with hints of orange blossom, honey, and soft green undertones" | Citrus-floral and structurally light — expect the top to do the work |
What eleven published reviews actually say
Five of the 23 floral listings carry published Judge.me reviews: British Rose has three, Lavender has five, and Jasmine, Gardenia and Solar Bloom have one each. That is eleven in total, and three of them mention throw specifically. They are reproduced here in full, because a review quoted in fragments is a review being used rather than read.
| Listing | The review, verbatim | What it supports |
|---|---|---|
| British Rose · 5★ · June 2026 | "In past five years of testing and searching for the best candle fragrance I would say I found what am looking for strong fragrance in cold throw and hot throw and you can go for the minimum percentage in candle still it will give amazing smell well done and all the best" | One experienced maker's judgement on both throws, plus a claim about performance at low load. A strong signal from a single source, not a result |
| Lavender · 5★ · September 2026 | "Quality of fragrance is very good. Cold through and hot though both are perfect." | Both throws again, from a different buyer on a different oil. No load, wax or jar is stated, so it cannot be reproduced |
| Lavender · 4★ · December 2025 | "Fragrance is awesome. Hot throw is also very good after burn candle." | Hot throw specifically, assessed after burning — which is the right moment to assess it |
The other eight are general. British Rose carries "I like it." and "Fragrance oil is sooo good smell so good we love it a lot". Jasmine carries "Hey, the fragrance is so nice. Can't wait to use in my candles!! A must buy item!!" — written, on its own wording, before the oil had been poured. Gardenia's review is mostly about order quality but includes the phrase "It is highly concentrated". Lavender's remaining three are "A very calming fragrance", "Happy with the product" and "Fragrances are pretty decent , quite versatile." Solar Bloom's single review concerns a reed diffuser formulation rather than a candle and tells you nothing about candle throw.
Four florals with the strongest published case
Not "the strongest oils" — the four with the most published in their favour, each from a different structural direction. The ≈ column counts 200 g candles at a 10% load, which is 20 g of oil, because that is where most of these pages cap out and where a buyer chasing strength will actually pour. A 15 g trial bottle therefore counts as no full candles at all at this load.
| Size | Price | Per kg | 200 g candles @ 10% |
|---|---|---|---|
| 15 gm | ₹130 | ₹8,666.67 | ≈0 |
| 50 gm | ₹370 | ₹7,400 | ≈2 |
| 100 gm | ₹700 | ₹7,000 | ≈5 |

The test that does produce a measurement
Everything above is shortlisting. This is the part that produces a fact, and it is the only part a supplier cannot do for you, because the answer depends on your wax, your wick, your jar diameter, your load, your cure and the room the candle will be lit in.
What strength costs at 10%
If the shortlisting has worked and you now want to pour at the top of a stated band rather than the bottom, here is what that decision costs per candle. All figures are 1 kg pricing, a 200 g candle, and the difference between 16 g of oil at 8% and 20 g at 10%.
| Fragrance oil | At 8% (16 g) | At 10% (20 g) | Extra per candle | Extra across 500 candles |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| British Rose | ₹49.09 | ₹61.36 | ₹12.27 | ₹6,135 |
| Jasmine | ₹62.77 | ₹78.46 | ₹15.69 | ₹7,845 |
| Rajnigandha (Tuberose) | ₹71.36 | ₹89.20 | ₹17.84 | ₹8,920 |
| Lavender | ₹83.54 | ₹104.42 | ₹20.88 | ₹10,440 |
| Raat Ki Rani | ₹108.38 | ₹135.48 | ₹27.10 | ₹13,550 |
| Smoked Rose Royale | ₹127.98 | ₹159.98 | ₹32 | ₹16,000 |
| Vanilla Orange Blossom | ₹132.70 | ₹165.88 | ₹33.18 | ₹16,590 |
| Pink Crush | ₹142.38 | ₹177.98 | ₹35.60 | ₹17,800 |
Look at the right-hand column before you decide that strength is a buying problem. Moving Lavender from 8% to 10% across a 500-candle run costs ₹10,440, and it is the smallest lever available. Sizing the wick so the melt pool reaches the glass, curing for fourteen days instead of two, and matching candle size to room size cost nothing at all and move perceived strength further. The full ranking of those levers is worked through in how to make candles smell strong without exceeding the safe fragrance load.
CANDLEMAKINGSUPPLIESINDIA supplies raw materials, not finished candles, and compounds none of the oils described here. The commercially convenient version of this page would rank twenty-three florals by strength and put the dearest one first. We have not done that, because no measurement exists to rank them with — and a maker who buys a kilo on the strength of an invented ranking and then cannot repeat the result stops buying from everybody, including us.
Every strength word, projection line, note structure, load and cure figure on this page is quoted verbatim from the linked product page. The eleven customer reviews are genuine published Judge.me reviews on CSI product pages, reproduced in full or with an ellipsis where shortened. No hot-throw or cold-throw result is claimed for any oil, because none has been published; no burn-test data, lab result or ranking is asserted. Where a page publishes nothing — five florals carry no performance wording and eighteen carry no reviews — this guide says so. Prices and stock are live CSI figures for September 2026.

Customer reviews: The six reviews at the top of this page are genuine, published Judge.me reviews left by CSI customers on their product pages. Names, star ratings, dates and products are as recorded by Judge.me; wording is unedited.
Figures verified September 2026: No measured hot-throw or cold-throw result is published on any CSI fragrance oil page, and none is claimed here. Across the 23 floral and floral-led listings, 9 publish a strength field (Jasmine, Lavender, Rajnigandha, Raat Ki Rani, British Rose, Gardenia, Ylang Ylang, Neroli, Japanese Cherry Blossom), 8 publish a projection field (Smoked Rose Royale, Vanilla Orange Blossom, Pink Crush, Gingham Heart of Gold, Solar Bloom, Lavender Cranberry Coconut, Neroli Signature Grade, Jasmine Coconut Spa Ceylon), 1 publishes a longevity line only (Love Spell) and 5 publish none (English Pear & Freesia, Lavender Oud, Butterfly, Dahlia, Mogra). All strength, projection, longevity, note and load wording is quoted verbatim, including the pages' own punctuation. Eleven published Judge.me reviews sit across five floral listings: British Rose 3, Lavender 5, Jasmine 1, Gardenia 1, Solar Bloom 1; three mention throw and are reproduced in full. Eighteen floral listings carry no reviews. Base-note weight is offered as standard perfumery reasoning, not as a CSI test result. 1 kg prices used — British Rose ₹3,068, Jasmine ₹3,923, Gardenia ₹4,332, Rajnigandha ₹4,460, Love Spell ₹4,499, Japanese Cherry Blossom ₹4,842, Lavender ₹5,221, Ylang Ylang ₹5,310, Neroli ₹6,655.20, Raat Ki Rani ₹6,774, Solar Bloom ₹7,499, Neroli Signature Grade ₹7,599, Smoked Rose Royale ₹7,999, Jasmine Coconut Spa Ceylon ₹7,999, Lavender Cranberry Coconut ₹7,999, Vanilla Orange Blossom ₹8,294, Pink Crush ₹8,899, Gingham Heart of Gold ₹10,800, Lavender Oud ₹12,000, English Pear & Freesia ₹14,560. 100 g floral prices run ₹342.20 (British Rose) to ₹1,499 (English Pear & Freesia); Raat Ki Rani 100 g is ₹700. Candle maths treats load as a share of finished candle weight: 200 g at 8% = 16 g oil, at 10% = 20 g oil; 120 g test jar at 8% = 9.6 g. Per-candle oil cost = 1 kg price ÷ 1,000 × grams; the 8%-to-10% difference is 4 g × price per gram, multiplied by 500 for the run column. Also priced: Eco Candle Wicks Thin (C1) 10 ₹59, Thick (C2) 20 ₹188.80; Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464 500 g ₹260, 1 kg ₹507.40; Luxury Soy Wax Chunks 1 kg ₹599. Stated wax ceilings: CSI 464 up to 10%; Luxury Soy Wax Chunks 8–13% with 10% recommended. Loads are formulation limits, not regulatory limits. Cure figures of 48–72 hours are quoted from the oil pages; 14–21 days reflects standard practice for soy container candles. Prices and availability change — the linked product pages are always authoritative.
