Where to Buy Professional Fragrance Oils for Soy Candles in India

What documents should a fragrance supplier provide? MSDS and an IFRA certificate per oil, and a GST invoice for the order. Retail, gifting and export buyers ask for them. We do not quote IFRA percentages on blog pages. They belong on the certificate.
Does CSI publish throw test results? No. We have not published throw measurements for any oil. We say so on every page and give you test methods instead. Be cautious of any supplier ranking oils by throw without saying what wax, wick, load and cure were used.
Is there a minimum order? The listed store has no stated minimum. The smallest listed size is effectively the minimum per oil: 15 g for 51 oils in stock, 50 g or 100 g for the rest.
The 12-line checklist
The checklist is written for soy container candles, but most lines apply to any wax. For each line, the table says why it matters to a soy maker, what good looks like, and how CSI answers it. We have included the lines where our answer is "not published", because a checklist that only shows a supplier's strengths is an advertisement.
| Check | Why it matters for soy | What good looks like | CSI's answer |
|---|---|---|---|
| Price per gram visible for every size | You cost soy candles in grams, not bottles | Every size priced on the page, so ₹/g is one division away | Published: 15 g to 1 kg for 93 oils |
| Stock shown by size | A hero scent must be reorderable at its production size | Out-of-stock sizes marked, not hidden | Published per size on the product page |
| Wax load ceilings | Sets how much oil your soy wax can take | Maker's stated maximum per wax | Published: Chunks up to 13%, CSI 464 up to 10%. Not quoted here for Natural Soy Pearl |
| MSDS per oil | Safe handling, storage, retailer questions | Available for every oil you buy | On request on WhatsApp |
| IFRA certificate per oil | Retail, gifting and export buyers ask for it | Per oil, current | On request on WhatsApp. Not quoted on blog pages |
| GST invoice | Input tax credit, B2B sales | Tax invoice on every order | Available |
| Honest size ladder | Stops you overpaying per gram | Clear where bigger is and is not cheaper | Published prices show it: 24 of 91 oils save 5%+ at 1 kg |
| Minimum order | Lets you test before you commit | Small sizes, no forced minimum | No stated minimum; smallest size is 15 g for 51 oils |
| Volume route | Production beyond listed packs | A clear way to get a quote | WhatsApp quote; no discount figure published |
| Throw data | Would help shortlisting | Measured method, wax, wick, load | Not published for any oil. You test |
| Samples | Cheap way to test many oils | Small sizes, or a set | No sample pack or discovery set. 15 g sizes instead |
| Matching wax, wicks, jars | One order, one invoice, compatible parts | Container soy waxes, wicks, jars | Three soy waxes, Eco / cotton / wooden wicks, jars and tins |
Three lines deserve extra weight for soy. Wax ceilings first: soy blends differ, and a supplier who sells both the wax and the oil should tell you the wax maker's stated maximum. Ours are published for two waxes and not quoted in this data for Natural Soy Pearl, so check its product page or ask. Stock by size second: on 24 September 2026, 73 oils were in stock at 1 kg and 19 listed kilos were not. A supplier who hides that costs you a launch. Honest size pricing third: on our catalogue, 52 of 91 oils cost within 1% per gram at 1 kg and 100 g. A supplier who tells you bigger is always cheaper is not reading their own price list.
Documents, properly
For a professional soy business the documents are not optional extras. A retailer, a corporate gifting buyer or an export customer will ask for them, usually at the point of order, and a missing certificate can hold up a shipment. Three matter.
The MSDS (material safety data sheet) covers the oil's hazards, storage and handling. Keep one for every oil you use, in the room where you pour. The IFRA certificate sets out the oil's maximum use levels by product category, including candles. It is a separate limit from your wax's load ceiling, and you follow whichever is more restrictive. We do not publish IFRA percentages or flash points for individual oils on these pages. Those figures belong on the certificate, which you can show a buyer. The GST invoice supports input tax credit and your own B2B invoicing.
What no supplier should pretend to know
Throw. Hot and cold throw depend on the wax, wick, jar, load, cure and room as much as the oil. We have not published throw measurements for any oil. A supplier ranking oils by throw without stating those conditions is giving you an opinion, not data. For soy, strong fragrance oils for soy has a load-ladder test and best hot throw in soy a wick-and-cure matrix.
Wick size. The right wick depends on your jar diameter, wax and oil. We do not publish wick-to-diameter sizing, and we would be wary of anyone who gives one without asking about your jar. Burn-test two wick widths in your jar. Samples. CSI does not sell a fragrance sample pack, discovery set or trial kit. Fifty-one oils have an in-stock 15 g, which is the practical sample size. Build your own set and we will help you choose on WhatsApp. The soy hub has a six-oil tester plan.
Discounts. No volume discount percentage, free-shipping threshold or "manufacturer price" is published on these pages. Volume beyond the listed packs is quoted on WhatsApp. Be careful with any supplier whose headline discount is not visible on the price of the pack you actually buy. Wholesale for soy businesses explains how to compare a quote against listed prices.
Verify with a small order
The checklist narrows the field. A small, real order decides it. It should be large enough to make sellable candles and small enough that a disappointing supplier costs little. The starter order below makes 18 soy candles in three scents and exercises every line of the checklist: prices, stock, documents, invoice and the fit between wax, wick and jar.
| Scent | ₹/g at 100 g | Oil per candle | Material cost per candle |
|---|---|---|---|
| Neroli | ₹6.66 | ₹106.48 | ₹293.40 |
| Gilli Mitti (Patchouli) | ₹8.96 | ₹143.36 | ₹330.28 |
| Woody Oud | ₹4.53 | ₹72.50 | ₹259.42 |
Material cost covers oil, wax, wick and jar. It excludes labour, packaging, freight and GST. The three oils span a core, a premium and a top-of-premium price, so the order also tests how your customers respond to price tiers. All three are in stock from 15 g to 1 kg on the pull date, so a winner can scale without switching supplier.

A comparison sheet
Use this sheet to compare suppliers on the same terms. The CSI column is filled in from the pull of 24 September 2026, using the three starter oils as the example. Fill in the others from each supplier's own listings and replies. Compare per gram at the size you will produce from, not bottle prices.
| Line | CSI | Supplier B | Supplier C |

Fill the sheet in before you order and again after your first delivery. The second pass is the one that counts: were the documents complete, did the invoice match, were the sizes in stock as listed? If you are also deciding whether one supplier should cover wax, wicks, jars, dyes and moulds, I Want One Supplier for Wax, Fragrance Oils, Wicks, Jars, Dyes and Moulds — What Should I Check Before Buying All My Candle Raw Materials From Them? has the wider checklist.

CANDLEMAKINGSUPPLIESINDIA supplies raw materials, not finished candles. A page titled "where to buy" is naturally a page about us. So we put our own gaps in the checklist: no throw measurements, no sample pack, no wick-to-jar sizing. We suggest you ask every supplier the same twelve questions.
Every oil and wax price on this page comes from CSI live listings pulled on 24 September 2026. Stock counts (73 oils in stock at 1 kg, 19 listed kilos out of stock, 51 with an in-stock 15 g) come from the same pull. Jar, wick, centring-device and tool prices were verified for Blog 760 on 10 September 2026, and the 20-wick pack comes from the 25 September pull. Per-candle and basket figures are arithmetic on those prices.
Load ceilings (Luxury Soy Wax Chunks up to 13%, CSI 464 up to 10%) are the wax makers' stated formulation maximums, not regulatory limits. IFRA limits are per oil and appear on the certificate. MSDS, IFRA certificates, GST invoices and volume quotes are available on WhatsApp at +91 7397976926.
