CSI Collection Buying · Masculine
Masculine in a candle means seven families: woods, vetiver, oud, tobacco, leather, fougère and aquatic. Here are the six CSI oils that cover them with a stated candle load, what they cost per gram, and the first order that tests them.
₹2,115.40
six masculine oils × 50 g — one per family, enough for three test loads each · CSI live pricing, September 2026
Quick answers — read this first
What makes a candle smell masculine? Weight and dryness. The scents most buyers file as masculine come from seven families: dry woods, smoky vetiver, oud, tobacco, leather, the lavender-and-wood "fougère" accord of classic men's fragrance, and cool aquatics. Sweetness is kept low and the base does most of the talking. It is a convention, not a rule, and your customers decide what it means.

Which CSI oils should I buy first? Six, one per family CSI can cover with a candle-grade oil: Sage and Cedarwood (woods), Vetiver, Woody Oud, Coffee Vanilla Tobacco, the Mahogany Teakwood listing (fougère-style) and Blue Ocean (aquatic). Every one has a page-stated candle load.

What about leather? That is the gap. CSI has one leather-style oil, a perfume-grade inspired listing with no stated candle load, and only its 50 g is in stock on 24 September 2026. Treat it as a round-two experiment, not a first-order staple.

What does the first order cost? The six oils at 50 g each are ₹2,115.40. With 3 kg of wax, 20 jars, a C1/C2 wick sampler and stickers, the whole basket is ₹5,779.00: 20 test candles at ₹288.95 each before freight and GST.
The short answer
The style: dry woods, smoke, resin and leaf; low sugar; a base that is still there after the flame is out.
The shortlist: Woody Oud is the value anchor (₹4.53/g from 100 g), Sage and Cedarwood and Vetiver are the dry woods, Coffee Vanilla Tobacco is the warm one, Mahogany Teakwood the familiar fougère, Blue Ocean the fresh one.
The buy: 50 g of each (₹2,115.40). The 15 g route saves only ₹498.34 because three of the six are not sold in 15 g.
The honest gaps: leather (one listing, 50 g only), Vetiver 1 kg (out of stock), and several smoky bakhoor oils whose pages state no candle load.
What reads masculine: seven families, one CSI oil each Family · what it smells of · the shortlist oil that covers it · price fact, 24 September 2026 Woods cedar, sandalwood, dry Sage and Cedarwood ₹7.08/g at 50 g Vetiver / earth smoky roots, green Vetiver ₹7.08/g at 50 g Oud resinous, dark wood Woody Oud ₹5.43/g at 50 g Tobacco leaf, amber, sweet Coffee Vanilla Tobacco ₹8.98/g at 50 g Leather (gap) suede, smoke, birch one inspired listing 50 g only in stock Aromatic fougère lavender, geranium, wood Mahogany Teakwood ₹8.80/g flat Cool aquatic sea salt, ozone, musk Blue Ocean ₹4.94/g at 50 g Six oils, 50 g each: ₹2,115.40 300 g of oil enough for 6%/8%/10% (7/8/9% on two) per oil Solid tile = in stock at every size (except Vetiver 1 kg, out of stock 24 Sept 2026). Dashed = no candle-grade oil. Leather exists at CSI only as one perfume-grade inspired listing, 50 g in stock, and its page states no candle load. Family descriptions are editorial shorthand; oil notes in the article are quoted from each product page.
The seven families buyers usually mean by "masculine", with the CSI oil that covers each on this shortlist. Six families have a candle-grade oil with a stated candle load; leather does not, which is why it sits outside the first order.
Straight answer
I want to start a masculine candle line. Which CSI fragrance oils do I buy, in what size, and what will it cost?
Buy 50 g each of Woody Oud (₹271.40), Sage and Cedarwood (₹354.00), Vetiver (₹354.00), Coffee Vanilla Tobacco (₹449.00), Mahogany Teakwood (₹440.00) and Blue Ocean (₹247.00): ₹2,115.40 for 300 g of oil. That covers six of the seven masculine families, and each 50 g is enough to pour three 150 g test candles at different loads with a little left for a retest. Two of the six (Coffee Vanilla Tobacco and Mahogany Teakwood) state 7–9% on their pages, so test those at 7%, 8% and 9%; the other four go up to 10%, so test at 6%, 8% and 10%. Leave leather, the smoky bakhoor oils and the perfume-grade inspired listings for a second round: none of them states a candle load, and the leather one is down to its 50 g size.
One line: masculine is a set of families, so buy one candle-grade oil per family at 50 g, find out which two or three your customers actually want, and only then buy weight.
Start with the cheapest oud CSI lists. Woody Oud 50 g is ₹271.40 (₹5.43/g) and its page states "candles (6-10%)". From 100 g it drops to ₹4.53/g and stays there all the way to 1 kg.
Buy Woody Oud 50 g — ₹271.40

The seven families that read masculine

Nobody buys "masculine". They buy smoke, wood, leaf and salt, and call it masculine afterwards.

Ask ten buyers what a men's candle should smell like and you will hear the same seven words in different orders. Each is a fragrance family with its own job in a candle, its own price level at CSI and its own risks. Know the family before you buy the oil, and you can build a range that covers the brief instead of six variations of the same dark wood. The descriptions below are editorial shorthand; the notes we quote are from CSI's product pages.

1 · Dry woods: cedar and sandalwood

In our judgement, the safest masculine family and the one most buyers expect. Cedar reads dry and pencil-shaving clean; sandalwood reads creamy and softer. In candles, woods carry well because most of their character sits in the base. At CSI the dry-wood candidate is Sage and Cedarwood, described as "Herbaceous sage with warm, woody cedar undertones". The sage keeps it from reading as a plain wood block. Which wood sub-family suits which customer is the subject of Woody Masculine Fragrance Oils for Candle Making.

2 · Vetiver and earth

Vetiver is the root-and-smoke note that gives men's fragrance its grown-up, slightly bitter edge. It is less familiar to Indian candle buyers than sandalwood, though the name khus is known to many. Vetiver Fragrance Oil is described on its page as "smoky, woody, and grounding with subtle green and sweet undertones". In our judgement it is the oil that makes a range read serious, and the one most likely to split opinion at the sniff test.

3 · Oud

Oud is dark, resinous wood and the most recognisable "luxury masculine" signal in India and the Gulf markets. CSI lists ten oud and bakhoor-style oils, from candle-grade to perfume-grade, which is why oud and leather get their own guide in Oud and Leather-Style Fragrance Oils for Masculine Candles. For a first order you need one: Woody Oud, whose page lists "citrus and spice top notes opening into rich oud and patchouli heart, settling into warm woody notes, amber, and musk".

4 · Tobacco

Tobacco in candles means cured leaf, not an ashtray: dry, sweet-edged, usually paired with vanilla, amber or coffee. In our judgement it is the warmest of the masculine families and the one that crosses over most easily to buyers who do not want "a men's candle". CSI's candle-grade tobacco is Coffee Vanilla Tobacco: "fresh brewed coffee and cocoa top notes, a vanilla cream and tonka bean heart, and a tobacco leaf, amber, and soft musk base".

5 · Leather

Leather is the masculine family CSI can supply least. It needs smoky, birch-tar and suede effects that are hard to make work in a candle. On 24 September 2026 CSI's only leather-style oil is a perfume-grade inspired listing, and only its 50 g is in stock. More on that below.

6 · Aromatic fougère

Fougère ("fern") is the classic barbershop structure: lavender and herbs on top, geranium or something green in the middle, woods and musk underneath. It reads clean and masculine at once, which in our judgement makes it a natural "gift for him" family. CSI does not list an oil called fougère, but the Mahogany Teakwood listing is built the same way: "Opens with fresh lavender and crisp bergamot. Heart of mahogany wood and geranium. Base of teakwood, cedarwood, and musk."

7 · Cool aquatic

The fresh end of men's fragrance: sea salt, ozone, marine notes, a clean musk. In our judgement, a men's range benefits from one lighter scent for summer and for customers who find oud and tobacco too heavy. Blue Ocean Fragrance Oil gives you "sea salt and ozone top notes, jasmine and lily of the valley heart, and driftwood and musk base". The driftwood base is what makes it work next to woods.

Argued against our own interest: you do not need all seven families. A good first men's range can be three scents: one wood, one warm (tobacco or oud), one fresh. We list six oils because the point of a first order is to find out which three of them your customers choose, and 50 g of an oil you drop costs you a few hundred rupees, not a kilogram. If your budget is tight, the two- and three-oil starts below are real options.

The six oils to buy first

One oil per family, each with a candle load printed on its page. That is the whole filter.

We picked on things we can show you: family covered, whether the page states a candle load, price per gram, stock across sizes and how much of the stated structure sits in the base. We have no throw measurements and will not invent any; which of these is structurally heaviest is argued in Strong Masculine Fragrance Oils for Candles. Candle counts in the tables assume a 150 g candle at 8% (12 g of oil).

1
oud · value anchor · every size in stock
Woody Oud Fragrance Oil
The cheapest route into oud at CSI, and the oil we would start any masculine range with. The page describes "citrus and spice top notes opening into rich oud and patchouli heart, settling into warm woody notes, amber, and musk" and states "candles (6-10%)". The patchouli heart makes it earthier than the polished ouds. One verified 5-star buyer calls it a "Good quality wood fragrance oil with a warm, long-lasting scent and strong performance in candles"; another gave it 4 stars. Limitation: at ₹4.53/g from 100 g it is inexpensive enough to be your whole oud offer, and that is a risk. A premium oud buyer may expect something smoother; that comparison belongs to Oud and Leather-Style Fragrance Oils for Masculine Candles.

2
dry woods · herbal-woody · the everyday men's candle
Sage and Cedarwood Fragrance Oil
The dry, clean wood of the six. "Herbaceous sage with warm, woody cedar undertones", with a stated load of "Up to 10% for soy wax Up to 6% for paraffin wax". In our judgement it is the least divisive of the six, which makes it the one to price as your entry candle. Limitation: no 15 g is listed, and the 1 kg (₹6,867.60, ₹6.87/g) costs 33% more per gram than the 500 g (₹2,584.20, ₹5.17/g). Two 500 g packs cost ₹5,168.40, which is ₹1,699.20 less than one kilogram.

Oil per 8% candle: ₹84.96 at 50 g, ₹62.02 at 500 g. Buy Sage and Cedarwood
3
vetiver · smoky earth · the serious one
Vetiver Fragrance Oil
Vetiver is the note that makes a men's range smell considered rather than generic. The page describes it as "smoky, woody, and grounding with subtle green and sweet undertones", calls it "IFRA-certified" (the page's wording; ask for the documents on WhatsApp) and states "Up to 10% for soy wax candles ... Up to 6% for paraffin wax candles". Limitation: the 1 kg is out of stock on 24 September 2026, and the 15 g is ₹12.51/g, 77% dearer per gram than the 50 g. Buy the 50 g to test; if it wins, the 500 g at ₹5.80/g is your bulk size for now, and ask on WhatsApp about the 1 kg.
Size Price Per gram 150 g candles at 8%
15 gm ₹187.62 ₹12.51 1
50 gm ₹354.00 ₹7.08 4

4
tobacco · warm gourmand · the crossover
Coffee Vanilla Tobacco Fragrance Oil
In our judgement the warmest oil here, and the easiest crossover for buyers who were not shopping for a men's candle. Notes: "fresh brewed coffee and cocoa top notes, a vanilla cream and tonka bean heart, and a tobacco leaf, amber, and soft musk base". The page states "Recommended load - candles: 7-9% soy wax (strong throw at lower loads)" and describes it as "IFRA Certified". Because the page stops at 9%, that is your ceiling even in a wax that allows more. Limitation: coffee leads, so if a buyer wants dry tobacco without sweetness, this is not it. No 15 g listed; the 1 kg is only 4.2% cheaper per gram than the 50 g.
Size Price Per gram 150 g candles at 8%
50g ₹449.00 ₹8.98 4
100g ₹899.00 ₹8.99 8
500g ₹4,399.00 ₹8.80 41
1kg ₹8,599.00 ₹8.60 83
Oil per 8% candle: ₹107.76 at 50 g, ₹103.19 at 1 kg. Buy Coffee Vanilla Tobacco
5
aromatic fougère · woody lavender · the gift scent
Mahogany Teakwood Bath and Body Works Inspired Fragrance Oil
That is CSI's product listing name; the oil is CSI's interpretation of a well-known style, CSI is not affiliated with the brand, and the brand name should never appear on your own label. We include it because its structure is the closest thing CSI has to a fougère: "Opens with fresh lavender and crisp bergamot. Heart of mahogany wood and geranium. Base of teakwood, cedarwood, and musk." The page states "Extremely strong hot throw in soy wax at 7-9%" and "IFRA Certified". Limitation: it is priced flat at ₹8.80 per gram at every size from 50 g to 1 kg, so bulk buying saves nothing per gram, and there is no 15 g.
Size Price Per gram 150 g candles at 8%
50g ₹440.00 ₹8.80 4
100g ₹880.00 ₹8.80 8

Oil per 8% candle: ₹105.60 at every size. Buy Mahogany Teakwood

cool aquatic · fresh · the summer scent
Blue Ocean Fragrance Oil
The light end of the range. "Sea salt and ozone top notes, jasmine and lily of the valley heart, and driftwood and musk base", with a stated load of "candles (up to 10%)"; the page describes it as "phthalate-free". It is here for the customer who finds oud and tobacco too heavy, and for Indian summer (roughly April to June). Limitation: the heart is floral, so at the sniff test some buyers will call it unisex rather than masculine. Also, bigger is not cheaper: ₹4.94/g at 50 g and ₹4.96/g at 1 kg.
Size Price Per gram 150 g candles at 8%
15 gm ₹93.22 ₹6.21 1
50 gm ₹247.00 ₹4.94 4
100 gm ₹495.00 ₹4.95 8

1 kg ₹4,956.00 ₹4.96 83
Oil per 8% candle: ₹59.28 at 50 g, ₹59.47 at 1 kg. Buy Blue Ocean
Only buying two? Woody Oud plus Sage and Cedarwood: ₹625.40 for 100 g, one dark and one dry. Only three? Add Blue Ocean for the fresh end, total ₹872.40. Add tobacco or vetiver when the first three have sold through.

Leather, bakhoor and the oils we would leave for later

A hub that only lists what to buy is a catalogue. Here is what we would leave out, and why.

Leather: one listing, one size

The only leather-style oil CSI lists is the Tomford Ombre Leather Inspired Fragrance Oil. That is CSI's product listing name; the oil is CSI's interpretation, CSI is not affiliated with the brand, and the brand must stay off your labels and listings. Its page describes "warm, aromatic cardamom" opening into "a supple suede-leather heart softened by jasmine sambac and powdery violet" that "dries down to patchouli, amber, and moss". It is perfume-grade: the 25%, 20% and 15% figures on its page are perfume and solid-perfume rates, not candle loads, and the page states no candle load. On 24 September 2026 only the 50 g is in stock, at ₹667.00 (₹13.34/g); the 100 g and 1 kg are out of stock. That is 146% more per gram than Woody Oud at 50 g, and 12 g of it in a candle costs ₹160.08. If leather is central to your range, ask us on WhatsApp about restock before you design around it.

Smoky bakhoor and incense oils with no candle load stated

Midnight Bakhoor Royale, Sultan's Smoke and Saffron Cedarwood all have notes that belong in a masculine range: spiced incense and oud wood, "warm resins, and amber", smoke and amber over woods. None of their pages states a candle load, and the bakhoor pair start at 100 g (₹799.00, ₹7.99/g) and are priced at about ₹8.00/g all the way to 1 kg. If you use them, work inside your wax's ceiling and test from 6%. They are good round-two oils once you know your customers like smoke.

Perfume-grade and brand-inspired masculine listings

CSI also lists a group of perfume-grade masculine oils, several named after well-known fragrances. Their pages quote perfume usage rates, not candle loads, and most cost more per gram than the six above: the cheapest inspired aquatic is ₹9.08/g flat, and the smoky fruity one tops out at ₹24.06/g (the exception is one fine-perfume aromatic listing that falls to ₹7.12/g at 1 kg). Whether any of them is worth the premium for a luxury line is argued in Luxury Masculine Fragrance Oils for Candle Brands, and the full per-gram gap at 1 kg is laid out in Masculine Candle Fragrance Oils Wholesale in India. For a first masculine order, the candle-grade oils with printed candle loads are the better-evidenced buy.

Fully out of stock on 24 September 2026, so do not plan around them: Regal Royal Oud, Frankincense and Tonka, and one inspired aquatic listing.

15 g, 50 g or 100 g: the sample route

In the masculine range the 15 g route barely exists. Half the shortlist is not sold that small.

Sage and Cedarwood, Coffee Vanilla Tobacco and Mahogany Teakwood have no 15 g size. So a "smell first" order still buys 50 g of those three, and only saves money on Woody Oud, Vetiver and Blue Ocean. And one of those three, Vetiver, is ₹12.51/g at 15 g.

Three routes for the same six oils
What each route costs and what it can prove
Route What you buy Oil total Oil Per gram What it proves
1 · Smell first 15 g of Woody Oud, Vetiver, Blue Ocean; 50 g of the other three ₹1,617.06 195 g ₹8.29 One 8% candle of the three small ones; load tests only on the other three
2 · Three-load test (our pick) 50 g of each ₹2,115.40 300 g ₹7.05 Three loads per oil plus a partial retest
3 · Early commitment 100 g of each ₹4,023.32 600 g ₹6.71 Eight candles per oil, most of it in oils you may drop

Route 1 saves ₹498.34 against Route 2 and leaves you unable to compare loads on half the list. Route 3 is only worth it for Woody Oud, where the 100 g (₹453.12) already reaches the lowest per-gram price CSI charges for it: ₹4.53, the same as the 1 kg. Ten 100 g bottles cost exactly what one kilogram does (₹4,531.20 against ₹4,531.20, a difference of ₹0.00), which tells you something useful: on Woody Oud, you never need to buy a kilogram to get the kilogram price.

Where the per-gram price actually drops
Woody Oud drops 16.5% from 50 g to 100 g and then stays flat. Vetiver keeps falling to ₹5.80 at 500 g. Sage and Cedarwood is cheapest at 500 g. Coffee Vanilla Tobacco is cheapest at 1 kg (₹8.60). Mahogany Teakwood never drops. Blue Ocean creeps up. That pattern is why this page recommends 50 g across the board for a first order; the size to reorder in is a per-oil decision covered in Masculine Candle Fragrance Oils Wholesale in India.

The first basket, totalled

Twenty candles, six oils, one wick question answered on the way.

Three loads per oil is 18 candles; two spare jars let you retest the two oils that look strongest. In our judgement masculine oils are often denser than fresh ones, so this basket includes both thin and thick wicks rather than guessing.

The non-oil lines come to ₹3,663.60. Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464 costs ₹507.40 per kilogram at 1 kg, 5 kg and 10 kg alike, so three 1 kg bags cost the same per gram as a 10 kg sack and leave you free to change wax. Its stated ceiling is up to 10%, which matches the top of four of the six oils' ranges; the other two stop at 9% on their own pages, and the lower figure always governs. How heavy woods and resins behave in soy, and why they are worth a longer cure, is the job of Best Masculine Fragrance Oils for Soy Candles. Other waxes are in the wax collection.

The wick split
Pour one of each oil's three candles with a C2 and two with a C1, then swap for the retests if the melt pool is short. C1 and C2 are starting points, not prescriptions: the right wick depends on the jar's inside diameter and on the oil. Run a melt-pool test and check the candle wicks collection if neither suits. Wick adjustment for heavy oils is covered in Strong Masculine Fragrance Oils for Candles.

What one masculine candle costs in materials

Worked example, Woody Oud at 8% in the 150 g clear jar: 12 g of oil at the 50 g price (₹65.14) + 138 g of CSI 464 (₹70.02) + one jar (₹94.40) + one C1 wick (₹5.90) = ₹235.46. At the 100 g or 1 kg price the oil falls to ₹54.37 and the candle to ₹224.70. The same candle with Coffee Vanilla Tobacco and a C2 wick is ₹281.62 — all excluding labour, freight, packaging and GST. In the Woody Oud candle the jar costs more than the oil at any size, which is worth remembering before you chase a cheaper kilogram. How to price a premium men's range from these numbers is in Luxury Masculine Fragrance Oils for Candle Brands.

We sell the 1 kg. For your first order, don't buy it. On Woody Oud the whole saving from 50 g to 1 kg is ₹10.76 per candle, and you can get the same per-gram price at 100 g. On Mahogany Teakwood there is no saving at all. A kilogram of an oil your customers turn out not to want is the most expensive thing in this guide.

Narrowing six oils to a range

Eighteen candles tell you three things per oil: whether people like it, the lowest load that performs, and which slot it fills in a men's range. Bring a 1 g scale, a thermometer and a notebook. Detailed cure timings for soy are in Best Masculine Fragrance Oils for Soy Candles; this is the order of decisions.

1
Weigh three loads by total weightFor the four 10%-ceiling oils: 9 g + 141 g wax (6%), 12 g + 138 g (8%), 15 g + 135 g (10%). For Coffee Vanilla Tobacco and Mahogany Teakwood: 10.5 g + 139.5 g (7%), 12 g + 138 g (8%), 13.5 g + 136.5 g (9%). Every one of the six uses 36 g of oil.
2
Pour the same day, cure the same timeUse the temperatures on the wax page (CSI 464: melt and pour 80–90°C) and keep them identical across all 18. None of these six oil pages states a cure time; at least 48–72 hours is common practice, longer for soy, so compare at day 3 and again at day 7.
3
Blind sniff by family, not by oilHide the labels and ask three people who are not you to sort the 8% candles into "would buy for myself", "would buy as a gift" and "no". The families that land in the first two piles are your range; that tells you more than any description.
4
Burn one at a time, doorway testSame room, door closed, two to three hours. Note what you smell from the doorway at 30 minutes and 1 hour, whether the base is still there after blow-out, and any soot or short melt pool.
5
Keep the lowest passing loadIf 8% and 10% of Woody Oud score the same at the doorway, 8% wins; every extra gram at the 1 kg price is ₹4.53 a candle. The page's upper figure is a ceiling, not a target.
6
Assign slots: one dry, one warm, one freshA first men's range works with three: a wood or vetiver, a tobacco or oud, and the aquatic. Survivors beyond three become seasonal or gift editions. The step-by-step launch plan, calendar and reorder triggers are in I Want a Masculine Candle Collection — Which Woody, Oud, Amber and Fresh Fragrance Oils Should I Sample?.
Mistake: naming your candles after the fragrances the oils are "inspired by". Fix: name them after a mood or a place in the day (Study, Night Drive, Monsoon Verandah, First Shave) and keep third-party brand names off labels, listings and ads. Oil listing names are CSI's product names, not a licence to use a brand.
Diwali 8 November 2026 is 45 days after these prices were checked. Masculine candles sell as gifts for fathers, brothers and colleagues, and winter (roughly December to February) favours the warm families. Test now, then take 500 g of the winner: Vetiver 500 g is ₹2,900.00, Woody Oud 500 g ₹2,265.60, 41 candles at 8% either way. Ask on WhatsApp for a quote with GST invoice and a dispatch date.

The CSI principle
Buy families before you buy favourites.
Six 50 g bottles tell you which three families your customers want. After that, the bulk decision is easy; before it, every kilogram is a guess.
"A masculine candle is not a darker candle. It is a drier, quieter one with a base that stays after the flame is out."

Why trust this guide

CandleMakingSuppliesIndia sells the oils, wax, jars and wicks named here, and does not sell finished candles. This page recommends smaller sizes than we would like to sell, names a family we cannot properly supply (leather) and points out where a larger pack is not cheaper per gram.

Every price, pack size and per-gram figure was taken from CSI's live store and verified on 24 September 2026. Out-of-stock sizes — Vetiver 1 kg, the leather-inspired 100 g and 1 kg, and several fully unavailable oils — are flagged as out of stock on that date and never presented as buyable. Notes and candle loads are quoted from each product page; where a page does not state a candle load, we say so.

The seven-family framing, which oils read masculine and the test method are our judgement; CSI has no throw measurements for these oils. For bulk pricing, GST invoicing, and MSDS and IFRA documentation on request, message us on WhatsApp at +91 7397976926.

Frequently asked questions

What fragrance oils are best for men's candles in India?
Start with one oil per masculine family: woods (Sage and Cedarwood), vetiver, oud (Woody Oud), tobacco (Coffee Vanilla Tobacco), fougère (the Mahogany Teakwood listing) and aquatic (Blue Ocean). All six state a candle load on their CSI pages and the six 50 g bottles cost ₹2,115.40.
Does CSI sell a leather fragrance oil for candles?
Only one leather-style oil is listed: a perfume-grade, brand-inspired listing whose page states no candle load. On 24 September 2026 only its 50 g (₹667.00) is in stock; the 100 g and 1 kg are out of stock. Ask on WhatsApp about restock before planning a leather candle.
Which is the cheapest oud fragrance oil for candles?
At CSI, Woody Oud Fragrance Oil: ₹271.40 for 50 g (₹5.43/g) and ₹4.53/g at 100 g, 500 g and 1 kg. Its page states "candles (6-10%)".
How much fragrance oil do I need to test a masculine candle range?
36 g per oil to pour three 150 g candles at 6%, 8% and 10% (or 7%, 8% and 9% for oils whose page stops at 9%). That is why 50 g is the right test size; 15 g makes one 8% candle.
Can I put "Mahogany Teakwood" or a perfume name on my candle label?
Keep third-party brand and fragrance names off your label. CSI's listing names are product names; the oils are interpretations and CSI is not affiliated with those brands. Name your candles after moods or places instead.
What does a masculine soy candle cost to make?
Worked example: 150 g Woody Oud candle at 8% in CSI 464 soy, a 150 g clear jar with golden lid and a C1 wick costs ₹235.46 in materials at the 50 g oil price, or ₹224.70 at the 100 g or 1 kg price, excluding labour, freight, packaging and GST.

Wax ceiling: Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464 up to 10%, as stated on its page; the lower of the wax ceiling and the oil page's stated maximum governs, and ceilings are formulation limits, not regulatory limits. Candle loads, notes and IFRA wording are quoted from product pages. Per-candle costs are worked examples excluding labour, freight, packaging and GST.
