CSI Collection Buying · Spa in Soy
Fresh spa notes are the first to fade in soy wax. Here is how to choose oils that hold up, why 10% is your real ceiling even in 13% waxes, how to anchor a bright scent on a wood, and what a premium vessel does to your cost per candle.

Quick answers — read this first
Do spa fragrance oils work in soy wax? Yes, but the fresh ones need more care than warm ones. Citrus, herbal and aquatic top notes are the lightest part of a fragrance, and soy is widely reported by makers to give a softer hot throw than paraffin. A luxury spa candle in soy is built by anchoring a bright opening on a wood or musk base, curing longer, and testing in the room size the candle will live in.

What is the maximum fragrance load for spa oils in soy? 10% for all five oils on this page, because each page states 10% as its soy or candle maximum. Premium Coconut Soy Wax CSI 468 and Luxury Soy Wax Chunks state up to 13%, and Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464 up to 10%; the lower of the two ceilings governs, so 10% it is. That is a limit, not a target.

Which CSI oils make a luxury spa candle in soy? Neroli, Verbena, Blue Ocean, Palo Santo and Sage and Cedarwood: two bright openings, one aquatic and two woods to hold them. 50 g of each is ₹1,574.50.

What does a luxury spa candle cost to make? Worked example: a 150 g Neroli candle at 8% in CSI 468 and a clear golden-lid jar costs ₹269.86 in materials; in a 500 g apothecary jar, ₹796.49. Both exclude labour, freight, packaging and GST.
The short answer
The soy problem: the notes that make a candle smell "spa" (citrus, herbs, sea air) are the first to fade. Plan for it rather than fighting it with more oil.
The ceiling: 10% on every oil here. The 13% waxes give no extra room for these oils.
The fix: pair a bright oil with a wood (or blend them), cure for two weeks (sniffing at day 3, 7 and 14), and judge at one hour in a small room.
The luxury lever: the vessel, not the oil load. In our worked-example 150 g Neroli candle in a clear golden-lid jar, the jar is 35% of the materials cost and the oil 30%.
Where the money goes in a luxury spa candle Neroli at 8% (500 g oil price) in CSI 468 coconut soy (1 kg price). Materials only: no labour, freight, packaging or GST. Oil Wax Vessel Wick TOTAL /100 g A · Clear jar, golden lid 150 g · C1 wick ₹269.86 ₹179.91 B · Clear frosted jar 150 g* · C1 wick ₹246.26 ₹164.17 C · Clear jar + wooden wick 150 g · wooden wick ₹322.96 ₹215.31 D · Green iridescent, bamboo lid 300 g · one C2 wick ₹498.56 ₹166.19 E · Apothecary jar, dome lid 500 g · two C2 wicks ₹796.49 ₹159.30 0 200 400 600 800 rupees * The frosted jar lists the same 8 cm height and 7 cm width as the 150 g clear jar but does not state a fill weight: weigh your own fill. Wick counts for D and E are worked-example assumptions, not recommendations: run a melt-pool test. Prices verified 24 September 2026.
Five ways to present the same Neroli spa candle. In the 150 g clear golden-lid jar the vessel costs more than the oil; move to a larger jar and the cost per 100 g of candle falls, because the vessel is spread over more wax. The wooden wick (C) is the dearest per 100 g of the five.
Straight answer
I want a luxury spa candle in soy wax. Which oils, what load, and what will it cost?
Test Neroli, Verbena, Blue Ocean, Palo Santo and Sage and Cedarwood at 50 g each (₹1,574.50) in Premium Coconut Soy Wax CSI 468. Pour 6%, 8% and 10%; do not go above 10%, which is every one of these oils' stated maximum and lower than the wax's 13%. Expect the bright oils (Neroli, Verbena, Blue Ocean) to fade faster than the woods, and plan for it: pair each bright oil with a wood in the collection, or blend a small share of wood into the bright candle. Put your money into the vessel rather than a higher load. A 150 g Neroli candle at 8% costs ₹269.86 in a clear golden-lid jar and ₹246.26 in a frosted jar (materials only, excluding labour, freight, packaging and GST).
One line: in soy, a fresh spa scent needs a wood to stand on, two weeks to settle and a good jar to sell it; more oil is not the answer.
The wax that leaves room to test. Premium Coconut Soy Wax CSI 468 is ₹650.00 per kg (₹0.65 per gram), states a pour temperature of 58–60°C and a load of up to 13%. For these oils, 10% remains the limit.

Why fresh spa notes are fragile in soy

The first thing a spa candle promises is the first thing it loses.

Every fragrance has parts that leave quickly and parts that stay. The quick parts are the top notes: citrus peel, green leaves, herbs, sea air. They are also, almost by definition, what makes a candle smell "spa". The slow parts are woods, musks and resins. A warm gourmand candle is mostly slow parts, so it forgives a lot. A spa candle is mostly quick parts, so it forgives very little.

Soy wax adds a second pressure. Makers widely report that soy gives a softer, rounder hot throw than paraffin, and that it rewards a longer cure. We have no laboratory throw data for any of these oils and will not pretend to; this is common practice and our judgement, and the test later on this page is how you check it for your own candles. The practical consequence is simple: a bright spa oil that smells vivid from the bottle can seem to disappear once it is lit in soy, and the instinct to fix it by adding more oil usually makes the candle harsher, not better.

Spa families in soy · editorial judgement, not measurements
How each family tends to behave in a soy candle, and what to do about it
Family CSI oils What tends to happen in soy What to do
Citrus-floral Neroli Vivid cold throw; the bright top softens once lit; honey and orange blossom carry on Judge at one hour, not at ten minutes; pair with a wood in the range
Lemony herbal Verbena, Lemongrass and Lime The lemon lifts first; "herbal undertones" remain Blend in a little wood (see Anchoring), or accept a lighter candle and say so
Aquatic Blue Ocean Ozone and sea salt are airy; the driftwood and musk base helps it hold Test in a small room; a bathroom-sized space suits it
Cool aromatic and green Eucalyptus Spearmint, Cucumber Green Tea Eucalyptus stays recognisable; can read sharp at the top of range Test 6% and 8% hardest; covered in the hub
Woods and resins Palo Santo, Sage and Cedarwood Slow to open, long to stay; the reliable half of a soy spa range Use as the anchor, not the headline

Cucumber Green Tea and Eucalyptus Spearmint are the fresh core of the spa shortlist in Buy Spa Fragrance Oils for Candle Making in India; this page deliberately picks a different set of oils so you can see the whole spa palette in soy. The softer, quieter oils people buy for "relaxing" candles have their own soy behaviour and their own test plan in Relaxing Fragrance Oils for Soy Candles.

Mistake: "My Neroli soy candle doesn't smell, so I'll go to 12%." Fix: no. The Neroli page states "Up to 10% for soy wax", and that ceiling governs even in a 13% wax. Check the cure (was it the full two weeks?), the wick (is the melt pool reaching the edge?) and the room (were you testing in a large open space?) before you touch the load.

Two ceilings: the wax, the oil, and which one wins

Every candle has two maximum loads: the one the wax maker states and the one the oil page states. The lower of the two governs. Both are formulation limits, not regulatory limits, and neither is a recommendation to pour at the maximum.

The five spa oils · stated candle maximum
Every oil on this page tops out at 10%, so 10% governs in every wax above
Oil Page wording (verbatim) Governing maximum in CSI 468 or Chunks Governing maximum in CSI 464
Neroli "Recommended Fragrance Load: Up to 10% for soy wax Up to 6% for paraffin wax" 10% (oil) 10% (both)
Verbena "Recommended Fragrance Load: Up to 10% for soy wax Up to 6% for paraffin wax" 10% (oil) 10% (both)

Sage and Cedarwood "Recommended Fragrance Load: Up to 10% for soy wax Up to 6% for paraffin wax" 10% (oil) 10% (both)

Three conclusions follow. First, for these oils the 13% waxes buy you no extra load: their headroom exists, but the oils cannot use it. Choose between CSI 464, CSI 468 and the Chunks on how they pour, set and look in your jars, which only your own test can tell you. Second, if a wax page states no ceiling (Premium Coconut Soy Wax, Natural Soy Pearl Wax, Eco Soy CSI 400), work to the oil's 10% and test lower. Third, the paraffin figure on four of these pages is 6%; if you ever blend soy with paraffin, ask us on WhatsApp before choosing a load, because none of these pages states one for blends.

Which soy for a luxury spa line?
We price this page in CSI 468 because its lower stated pour temperature (58–60°C) and 13% ceiling give you room to work, and because a coconut-soy base fits the spa story. It costs ₹89.70 of wax per 150 g candle against ₹70.02 for CSI 464: ₹19.68 more. At the 5 kg size CSI 468 is ₹0.64 per gram; the full wax ladder belongs in Spa Fragrance Oils Wholesale in India.

Five spa oils that hold up in soy

Two bright openings, one sea breeze and two woods to hold them up.

These five are chosen for a luxury spa line in soy specifically: each has a stated soy or candle maximum of 10%, each is in stock at every listed size on 24 September 2026, and the set includes enough base (Palo Santo, Sage and Cedarwood, and Blue Ocean's driftwood and musk) to carry the brighter oils. The ranking basis is stated notes, stated load, base-note weight, price per gram and stock depth; we have no throw measurements. Candle counts assume 150 g at 8%.

1
citrus floral · the luxury opening
Neroli Fragrance Oil
Neroli is the most "expensive-smelling" fresh note in the range: bright but not sharp, with a floral softness that suits a premium spa candle. The page describes "Bright neroli with hints of orange blossom, honey, and soft green undertones" and states "Recommended Fragrance Load: Up to 10% for soy wax Up to 6% for paraffin wax". The honey is what keeps it present in soy once the top has lifted. Limitation: it is the brightest oil on this list and the most likely to seem quiet on a hot burn; pair it with Sage and Cedarwood or Palo Santo in the collection. It is also dearer than most candle-grade fresh oils and the price is flat at ₹6.66 per gram from 100 g up.
Size Price Per gram 150 g candles at 8%
15 gm ₹118.00 ₹7.87 1
50 gm ₹342.20 ₹6.84 4
100 gm ₹665.52 ₹6.66 8
500 gm ₹3,327.60 ₹6.66 41
1 kg ₹6,655.20 ₹6.66 83
Oil per 8% candle: ₹82.13 at 50 g, ₹79.86 at 500 g. Buy Neroli
2
lemony herbal · the crisp day candle
Verbena Fragrance Oil
Verbena is lemon with a green, herbal edge rather than a sweet one, which keeps it on the spa side of citrus. The page states "Crisp lemony verbena with herbal undertones" and "Up to 10% for soy wax Up to 6% for paraffin wax". It is the best candidate on this page for the blend in the next section, because its simple structure takes a wood well. Limitation: with no stated base note it will need an anchor in soy, either blended in or as a neighbour in the range. Unlike Neroli, it gets meaningfully cheaper with size.
Size Price Per gram 150 g candles at 8%
15 gm ₹106.20 ₹7.08 1
50 gm ₹330.40 ₹6.61 4
100 gm ₹590.00 ₹5.90 8
500 gm ₹2,478.00 ₹4.96 41
1 kg ₹4,720.00 ₹4.72 83
Oil per 8% candle: ₹79.30 at 50 g, ₹59.47 at 500 g. Buy Verbena
3
aquatic · the stone-and-water spa
Blue Ocean Fragrance Oil
For a spa concept built on water, steam and stone rather than plants. The page lists "sea salt and ozone top notes, jasmine and lily of the valley heart, and driftwood and musk base", states "candles (up to 10%)", and describes it as "A refreshing, phthalate-free aquatic fragrance oil" (the page's wording; ask for documents on WhatsApp). The driftwood and musk base gives it more staying power in soy than a pure ozone note would have. Limitation: its per-gram price rises slightly with size, so the 1 kg is 0.3% dearer per gram than the 50 g; there is no bulk saving to chase here.
Size Price Per gram 150 g candles at 8%
15 gm ₹93.22 ₹6.21 1
50 gm ₹247.00 ₹4.94 4
100 gm ₹495.00 ₹4.95 8
500 gm ₹2,478.00 ₹4.96 41
1 kg ₹4,956.00 ₹4.96 83
Oil per 8% candle: ₹59.28 at 50 g, ₹59.47 at 500 g. Buy Blue Ocean
4
woody resinous · the warm anchor
Palo Santo Fragrance Oil
The warm end of a luxury spa range: "Earthy palo santo with soft citrus, warm amber, and a touch of incense", with "Up to 10% for soy wax Up to 6% for paraffin wax" stated. The soft citrus lets it sit next to Neroli or Verbena without a jarring jump. Limitation: the incense reads meditative to some customers; if your line is strictly bright and daytime, Sage and Cedarwood is the drier choice. Price is flat per gram from 50 g to 1 kg, so buy the size you need, not the size that looks cheaper.
Size Price Per gram 150 g candles at 8%
15 gm ₹106.20 ₹7.08 1
50 gm ₹300.90 ₹6.02 4
100 gm ₹601.80 ₹6.02 8
500 gm ₹3,009.00 ₹6.02 41
1 kg ₹6,018.00 ₹6.02 83
Oil per 8% candle: ₹72.22 at 50 g and at 500 g alike. Buy Palo Santo
5
herbal woody · the clean anchor
Sage and Cedarwood Fragrance Oil
The driest, most "treatment room" wood in the range: "Herbaceous sage with warm, woody cedar undertones", stated "Up to 10% for soy wax Up to 6% for paraffin wax". Sage bridges to the herbal oils; cedar gives soy something to hold on to. It is our first choice to blend under Verbena. Limitation: there is no 15 g size, and its 1 kg (₹6,867.60) costs more per gram than its 500 g (₹2,584.20): two 500 g packs are ₹5,168.40, which is ₹1,699.20 less than one 1 kg. Ask on WhatsApp before ordering the kilogram.
Size Price Per gram 150 g candles at 8%
50 gm ₹354.00 ₹7.08 4
100 gm ₹696.20 ₹6.96 8
500 gm ₹2,584.20 ₹5.17 41
1 kg ₹6,867.60 ₹6.87 83
Oil per 8% candle: ₹84.96 at 50 g, ₹62.02 at 500 g. Buy Sage and Cedarwood

Five 50 g bottles cost ₹1,574.50. If you only want two, Neroli and Sage and Cedarwood give you one bright and one anchor for ₹696.20. The broader spa shortlist, with Eucalyptus Spearmint, Cucumber Green Tea and Lavender, is in Buy Spa Fragrance Oils for Candle Making in India; which of all these belong in a five-scent collection, and in what role, is ranked in Best Fragrance Oils for a Spa Candle Collection.

Anchoring: blending a bright oil onto a wood

If a bright oil fades too fast in your soy tests, you have two honest options. Keep it as a lighter candle and position it that way ("a light, daytime scent"), or give it a base by blending in a small share of a wood. Blending is ordinary candle practice; what matters is that the total load stays within the lowest stated maximum of everything in the jar, which here is 10%.

Worked example · a Verbena candle anchored with Sage and Cedarwood
150 g candle, 8% total load, CSI 468, 50 g oil prices
Version Oil in the candle Oil cost What you are testing
Straight 12 g Verbena ₹79.30 The baseline
Anchored 6 + 2 9 g Verbena + 3 g Sage and Cedarwood ₹80.71 Does the lemon last longer with a cedar floor under it?
Anchored 5 + 3 7.5 g Verbena + 4.5 g Sage and Cedarwood ₹81.42 Has it stopped being a Verbena candle?

The cost barely moves; what changes is the character. Pour all three from the same wax batch, cure them together, and burn them one after another in the same small room. If the 6 + 2 still reads as "verbena" at one hour and the straight version does not, you have found your production recipe. The same pattern works for Neroli over Palo Santo, and for Blue Ocean over a small share of Sage and Cedarwood. Weigh every oil separately on a scale reading to 0.1 g for blends this small.

Argued against our own interest: blending means you need fewer oils, not more. A three-candle luxury spa line can be built from two bright oils and one wood, with the wood used both as its own candle and as the anchor in the other two. That is a smaller first order than we would like to sell you, and it is the better plan.

Premium vessels and cost per candle

Luxury is mostly glass. The chart at the top of the page shows why.

In a 150 g clear golden-lid jar, a Neroli spa candle at 8% costs ₹269.86 in materials: ₹79.86 of oil, ₹89.70 of wax, ₹94.40 of jar and ₹5.90 of wick. The jar is 35% of the total; the oil is 30%. That has two consequences for a luxury line. Raising the load from 8% to 10% adds only ₹19.97 of Neroli but risks a harsher candle; changing the jar changes the cost, and the perceived value, far more.

Five presentations of the same Neroli spa candle
Materials per candle and per 100 g of candle · Neroli at 500 g price, CSI 468 at 1 kg price, 8% load
Option Vessel (price basis) Fill Wick (worked-example assumption) Materials Per 100 g
A Clear Glass Jar with Golden Lid (150 gram), ₹94.40 from pack of 10 150 g stated C1, ₹5.90 ₹269.86 ₹179.91
B Clear Frosted Glass Jar, ₹70.80 from pack of 10 Not stated; 8 cm × 7 cm like A C1, ₹5.90 ₹246.26 ₹164.17
C As A 150 g stated Performance Wooden Wick, ₹59.00 from pack of 10 ₹322.96 ₹215.31
D Green Iridescent jar with bamboo lid - 300g, ₹150.00 300 g stated One C2, ₹9.44 ₹498.56 ₹166.19
E Apothecary Glass Candle Jar with Dome Lid, 500 gm size ₹212.40 ~500 g stated Two C2, ₹18.88 ₹796.49 ₹159.30

What the table tells you

The frosted jar is cheaper than the clear golden-lid jar. From the pack of 10, the Clear Frosted Glass Jar and the White Matte Glass Jar are ₹70.80 each against ₹94.40 for the clear jar with golden lid, and both list the same 8 cm height and 7 cm width. Their listings do not state a fill weight or mention a lid in the title, so weigh a fill yourself and check what is included before you plan around them. For a spa look (soft, pale, diffused), frosted or white matte glass is the obvious fit, and it saves ₹23.60 a candle.

The wooden wick is a real cost step. A Performance Wooden Wick is ₹59.00 from the pack of 10 and ₹41.30 from the pack of 100, against ₹5.90 for a C1: ₹53.10 more per candle at pack-of-10 prices. Some buyers read a wooden wick as luxury. Whether it suits your wax, jar and oil is a burn-test question, not a catalogue one, and it is the only change in the table that raises the cost per 100 g.

Bigger vessels are cheaper per 100 g. The 500 g apothecary candle costs ₹796.49 but only ₹159.30 per 100 g, against ₹179.91 for the 150 g clear jar. Large spa candles make sense for gifting and for treatment rooms that burn a candle for hours. They also multiply your wick risk: we have assumed one C2 for the 300 g jar and two for the 500 g, purely to price the example. Run a melt-pool test in the actual jar, and browse the Candle Wicks collection, before you settle on anything.

Pricing a luxury spa candle
The materials figure is the floor, not the price. Add labour, packaging, freight and GST, then decide on a retail price from what your customer compares you with. The cost-to-retail logic for a premium range belongs to Hotel Fragrance Oils for Luxury Candles for hotel-style candles, and the same method applies here.

A soy test built for fresh notes

The ordinary three-load test still applies. What changes for fresh spa oils in soy is the timing and what you listen for: you are checking whether the bright part survives, not just whether the candle smells.

1
Pour the three loads, plus one anchored versionFor each bright oil (Neroli, Verbena, Blue Ocean) pour 6%, 8% and 10% straight, and one 8% candle anchored 6 + 2 with a wood. For the woods, the three straight loads are enough. That is 18 candles for five oils. In a 150 g candle: 6% = 9 g oil + 141 g wax; 8% = 12 g + 138 g; 10% = 15 g + 135 g.
2
Follow the wax page, then keep everything identicalCSI 468 states a pour temperature of 58–60°C. Whatever wax you use, pour every candle in the test the same way, on the same day, into the same jar, with the same wick.
3
Cure for two weeks, sniffing along the wayNone of these five oil pages states a cure time. At least 48–72 hours is common practice and longer for soy is common too; for fresh notes we sniff at day 3, day 7 and day 14. Write one word each time for the top note: vivid, present, faint or gone. A bright oil whose top is "gone" by day 14 in cold throw needs an anchor.
4
Burn in the room the candle is forA treatment room, bathroom or bedroom, door shut, two hours per candle, one candle per session. Note what you smell on entering at 20 minutes and at one hour, and whether you can still name the oil at one hour.
5
Compare the straight 8% with the anchored 8%Same load, same cost within a rupee or two. If the anchored version still reads as the bright oil at one hour and the straight one does not, adopt the blend. If both read well, keep the straight one: simpler recipes are easier to repeat.
6
Only then look at 10%If neither 8% version works, the 10% straight candle is the last thing to check, not the first. If 10% smells harsh, soots or tunnels, the oil is not right for your soy spa line, and no load will fix that.
What to write down
Seven columns: oil, load, straight or anchored, top note at day 3 / 7 / 14 (one word each), one-hour room score (1–5), can you still name it at one hour (yes/no), melt pool at two hours (full / partial). The decision is made on the last three columns.

What does not make a spa candle luxurious

Several things feel like luxury levers and are not. It is worth saying plainly, because each of them costs money.

A higher load. Covered above: 10% is the ceiling here, and in a small room a spa oil at the ceiling often reads harsher than at 8%.

A perfume-grade oil. The listing called Neroli Signature Grade has an attractive structure ("Neroli, Bitter Orange, Bergamot | Orange Blossom, Petitgrain, Light White Florals | White Musk, Soft Woods, Amber") and costs ₹7.98 per gram at 50 g, 17% more than Neroli Fragrance Oil's ₹6.84. Its page describes it as "Best as EDP (18–22%)", which is a perfume rate, and states no candle load. Oil per 8% candle at 50 g would be ₹95.76 against ₹82.13. For a candle, the oil with a stated soy load is the better-evidenced buy; if you want to try the signature grade, treat it as a separate experiment and work well inside the wax ceiling.

A borrowed name. Never call a candle after a real spa, hotel or perfume house, and do not use a brand-inspired listing name on your label. Name the mood ("Steam", "Stone", "Linen Robe", "After the Rain").

A claim. A spa candle is a scent and a mood. Describe it by what it smells like and where it belongs; do not say what it does to the body. How to write that copy is the subject of Relaxing Fragrance Oils for Candle Making, and the wider positioning of wellness-style candles in India is in Wellness-Inspired Candle Fragrance Oils in India.

Honest limitation: CSI has no hot-throw measurements for any of these oils in any wax. Everything on this page about how families behave in soy is common maker experience and our judgement. The only evidence that counts for your product is your own two-week test.

A starter luxury test basket (five 50 g oils, 3 kg CSI 468, since the 18 test candles need about 2.48 kg of wax, 10 frosted and 10 clear jars, 10 C1 and 10 C2 wicks) comes to ₹5,329.90. The CSI principle
Spend on the jar, not on the ceiling.
In soy, the top 2% of load buys a few rupees of oil and a real risk of a harsher candle. A better vessel buys the look your customer pays for, and costs nothing in throw.
"Fresh notes in soy are like morning light: lovely, brief, and best held in a good frame."

Why trust this guide

CandleMakingSuppliesIndia sells the oils, waxes, jars and wicks on this page and does not sell finished candles. We have told you not to push above 10% even in our 13% waxes, not to buy our perfume-grade neroli for candles, and not to buy the 1 kg of Sage and Cedarwood without asking, because a luxury line built on the wrong load or the wrong oil costs you far more than it earns us.

Every price, pack size and per-gram figure was taken from CSI's live store and verified on 24 September 2026; all five featured oils were in stock at every listed size on that date. Load wording, notes and phthalate-free wording are quoted from product pages; where a wax page states no ceiling, we say so.

How scent families behave in soy, the anchoring ratios, the cure schedule and the wick counts in the vessel examples are editorial judgement and worked examples, not measurements. For bulk pricing, GST invoicing, and MSDS and IFRA documentation on request, message us on WhatsApp at +91 7397976926.

Frequently asked questions

Why does my citrus soy candle not smell when lit?
Bright citrus and herbal top notes are the quickest part of a fragrance to fade, and makers widely report that soy gives a softer hot throw than paraffin. Check a full cure (for a fresh-note soy test we allow two weeks, sniffing at day 3, 7 and 14), a melt pool that reaches the jar edge and a small test room before raising the load, and consider anchoring the citrus with a small share of a wood oil.
What is the best fragrance load for spa scents in soy wax?
Test 6%, 8% and 10% of total candle weight. For Neroli, Verbena, Blue Ocean, Palo Santo and Sage and Cedarwood the oil pages state 10% as the maximum, which governs even in waxes rated to 13%. Keep the lowest load that still reads clearly at one hour in a small room.
Is coconut soy wax better than soy wax for spa candles?
Neither is better in general. Premium Coconut Soy Wax CSI 468 states up to 13% and a 58–60°C pour; Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464 states up to 10% and 80–90°C. For oils capped at 10%, the choice comes down to how each pours, sets and looks in your jar. CSI 468 costs ₹89.70 of wax per 150 g candle against ₹70.02 for CSI 464.
Can I mix two fragrance oils in one soy candle?
Yes, as long as the total stays within the lowest stated maximum of everything in the candle. For example, 6% Verbena plus 2% Sage and Cedarwood is 8% total, well within the 10% both pages state. Weigh each oil separately and test the blend against the straight oil.
How much does a luxury spa candle cost to make in India?
Worked example: a 150 g Neroli candle at 8% in CSI 468 costs ₹269.86 in a clear golden-lid jar with a C1 wick, ₹246.26 in a clear frosted jar, and ₹796.49 as a 500 g candle in an apothecary jar. Materials only; excludes labour, freight, packaging and GST.
Are wooden wicks better for luxury candles?
They are a look and a sound some buyers associate with luxury, not a promise of better throw. A Performance Wooden Wick costs ₹59.00 from the pack of 10 against ₹5.90 for a C1 cotton wick. Test it in your exact jar, wax and oil before committing.

Wax ceilings as stated by the wax pages: CSI 464 up to 10% (80–90°C), CSI 468 up to 13% (pour 58–60°C), Luxury Soy Wax Chunks up to 13%; other soy waxes do not state a ceiling. These are formulation limits, not regulatory limits. Jar fill weights are as stated on listings; the frosted and matte jars state dimensions only. Wick counts in the vessel examples and all per-candle costs are worked examples and exclude labour, freight, packaging and GST. Soy behaviour by family, anchoring ratios and the cure schedule are editorial judgement. Diwali (8 November 2026) is a calendar date.
