CSI Wick Buying · 8.5 cm Jars
At 8.5 cm the single you expect to win is the top single CSI sells. Put the pairs in the same order: they add one small wick pack and six candles, and save a second shipment if Cotton Braided falls short.
₹1,460.52
extra cash to add a 2×C1 / 2×C2 double arm to the first order, of which ₹118.00 is wicks · CSI live pricing, October 2026
Quick answers — read this first
One larger wick or a double wick for an 8.5 cm soy candle? Test both, in the same order. The single arm is Eco C2 and Cotton Braided, three candles each; the double arm is 2 × C1 and 2 × C2, three candles each. CSI lists no single tabbed wick above Cotton Braided, so if it falls short, the pair is the next step anyway.

What does the double arm add to the order? In wicks, one pack: the C1 20 at ₹118.00 (the 10-pack is out of stock). In candles, six more 250 g candles: a third 100 g bottle of Woody Oud, a third 1 kg bag of wax and holders. From nothing, ₹2,371.44 becomes ₹3,831.96: ₹1,460.52 more, plus six of your own jars.

When is it worth ordering both arms at once? When the single ladder already tops out at Cotton Braided, as it does here: an 8.5 cm inside diameter is past Cotton Braided's own "exceeding 8 cm", and oud is a heavier oil. Ordering the pairs later costs a second delivery and, in our worked example, 11 days.

Does a double wick cost more per candle? Barely, if it is 2 × C1: ₹11.80 a candle against ₹12.00 for one Cotton Braided. 2 × C2 is ₹18.88. Wick price is not what decides it; the full-life burn is.
The short answer
Buy: Eco C1 20 (₹118.00) + Eco C2 10 (₹94.40) + Cotton Braided 10 (₹120.00) = ₹332.40. Three C2 and three Cotton Braided singles; three 2 × C1 and three 2 × C2 pairs.
Pour: twelve 250 g candles at 8% (20 g Woody Oud + 230 g CSI 464) from one pot, on one day: 240 g of oil and 2,760 g of wax.
The extra cost: ₹1,460.52 in cash for the double arm, of which ₹118.00 is wicks; the rest is oil, wax and holders.
The honest limit: 8.5 cm is your jar (CSI lists none at that width), CSI's tabbed singles stop at Cotton Braided, and the Steel Wick Holder's stated fit ends at 9 cm.

Cure: the Woody Oud page says 48–72 hours; one 3–4 hour session a day; a 5-day order-to-bench time. All three are worked-example inputs, not CSI lead times. Gate 1 screens at burn 3. No production wick is bought until a configuration passes the full life (Gate 2), in either order. Excludes your jars, labour, freight, packaging and GST.
Top: the first order with and without the double arm, drawn to scale at CSI live prices on 1 October 2026. The wick line barely moves (₹214.40 to ₹332.40); the extra ₹1,460.52 is mostly a third bottle of Woody Oud, a third bag of wax and the steel holders. Bottom: a worked-example calendar. Pour the pairs with the singles and both arms reach burn 3 on day 6; order the pairs only after Cotton Braided falls short and their burn-3 read lands on day 17. Cure, session and delivery times are labelled inputs, not CSI lead times.
Straight answer
I have an 8.5 cm diameter soy candle. Should I start with one larger wick or test a double-wick configuration as well?
Test the double wick as well, and order it with the singles. For an 8.5 cm inside diameter the single you expect to win is Cotton Braided, the top tabbed rung CSI lists, whose page describes it for candles "exceeding 8 cm". Buy it with Eco C2 below it, three candles each. Above Cotton Braided there is no larger CSI single, only pairs, so put 2 × C1 and 2 × C2 in the same order, three candles each. That is C1 20 (₹118.00), C2 10 (₹94.40) and Cotton Braided 10 (₹120.00): ₹332.40 of wicks for twelve 250 g candles. Adding the pairs costs ₹1,460.52 in cash from nothing, mostly oil, wax and holders, and saves you a second order if the single falls short. Screen everything at burn 3; buy production wicks only for the configuration whose three candles all pass a full-life burn. This is our judgement for heavy oils such as Woody Oud. With a light oil, or if your 8.5 cm turns out to be the outside of the jar, the single arm alone is a fair start.
One line: the pairs add ₹118.00 of wicks and six candles to the order; leaving them out can add a second delivery and 11 days.
The two-arm wick order: Cotton Braided 10-pack (₹120.00), Eco C2 10-pack (₹94.40) and Eco C1 20-pack (₹118.00; the 10-pack is out of stock on 1 October 2026). Every pack named is in stock. Nothing bigger until one configuration passes full life.

Order A or order B: the two buy lists side by side

The question is not one wick or two. It is one shipment or two.

Both orders below are complete for their own test. The 250 g fill is our labelled worked example for a jar this size; weigh your own fill line and keep the load at 8% of total candle weight, CSI's convention: 20 g of oil + 230 g of wax per candle. Your 8.5 cm jars are the one line we cannot price: CSI lists no jar at that width.

Read across the wick row first. Order B's wicks cost ₹118.00 more than order A's, and that ₹118.00 is 8.1% of the extra cash. The rest buys six more candles: 120 g of oil, 1,380 g of wax, and fixtures to hold six pairs straight while they set. If you already own the wax and the oil, the double arm costs you one wick pack and six jars.

Why three 100 g bottles and not a 500 g
Woody Oud's per-gram price is the same at 100 g, 500 g and 1 kg (₹4.53): the 500 g (₹2,265.60) is exactly five 100 g bottles. Three 100 g bottles (₹1,359.36) cover both arms and leave 60 g, exactly a three-candle re-pour. The 500 g would cost ₹906.24 more and leave 260 g you have not yet decided to use. For order A, 100 g + 50 g (₹724.52) leaves 30 g, one candle; two 100 g bottles (₹906.24) leave 80 g, a full re-pour of 4 candles.

One gap to know before you pay: wax for a re-pour. Order B leaves 240 g of CSI 464, one candle's worth; a three-candle re-pour of a split rung needs 690 g. Add a 500 g bag (₹260.00) only when a rung actually splits, not up front. If your deadline will not wait for a second delivery, swap the C2 10 for the C2 20 (₹188.80) as well: it leaves 11 C2, enough to re-pour three 2 × C2 candles.

The ordering rule: when Cotton Braided is the top of your single ladder

A ladder needs a rung above the one you expect to win. At 8.5 cm, CSI's rung above Cotton Braided is a pair.

CSI's tabbed, ready-to-use wicks are three: Eco C1, Eco C2 and Cotton Braided Wicks Ready Made. There is no sized, tabbed wick between C2 and Cotton Braided and none above Cotton Braided. Around them sit unsized braid you cut to length and one wooden-wick listing with no widths. So a single-wick ladder at CSI can step up only twice. For an 8.5 cm jar that matters, because the single you expect to win is the top step.

The rule (our judgement, labelled)
Where your expected single sits decides whether the double arm goes in the first order
Your expected single Typical case Step above it at CSI Order the pairs
C1 small jars, light oils C2, then Cotton Braided No; two single steps are still above you
C2 about 7–8 cm inside, or 8.5 cm read as the outside (7.8 cm inside) Cotton Braided Optional; after burn 3 if Cotton Braided also falls short
Cotton Braided 8.5 cm inside, heavier oils such as oud or vanilla A pair (2 × C1 or 2 × C2) Yes, in the same order
Beyond Cotton Braided 9 cm and wider, or a single that already failed Pairs, then cut-to-length braid The pairs are the test; see the 9 cm next-order post

Why Cotton Braided is the expected winner here, as judgement and not a verdict: an 8.5 cm inside diameter melts 56.75 cm², 12.9% more than the 8 cm jar in the cluster hub (50.27 cm²); Cotton Braided's own page draws its line at "exceeding 8 cm"; and oud and patchouli belong to the heavier, resinous group commonly linked to needing more wick. None of that is a burn result. CSI publishes no measured wick data for any oil, and no chart can see your jar.

Which diameter did you measure?

The rule turns on the inside diameter. If your 8.5 cm is the outside of the glass, a 0.35 cm wall (our labelled assumption) leaves about 7.8 cm inside: 47.78 cm², and reading it as the inside overstates the pool by 19%. That jar is closer to the 8 cm hub's case, where C2 is a live candidate and Cotton Braided is still a step above. Measure inside edge to inside edge at the rim, the middle and near the base before you choose an order; the method is the external versus internal diameter post, and the full pre-order checklist is the spec sheet post.

Don't buy the pairs yet if: your 8.5 cm is the outside, the oil is light (a citrus, an aquatic, a clean herbal) and you have no deadline. Then the single arm (order A, ₹2,371.44) is enough to start, and a C1 20-pack can follow after burn 3 if Cotton Braided falls short. Argued against our own interest: six extra candles of oil and wax are a real cost; we would rather you spend it when the singles have told you it is needed.

And what about a C1 single? In the 8 cm hub it is the low anchor. At 8.5 cm the double arm takes that job: if 2 × C1 runs hot and C2 single tunnels, the bracket is closed from both sides without a C1 single. If you want the extra evidence, the C1 20-pack already holds the wicks; three more candles cost ₹639.68 in materials (₹213.23 each) and use the 60 g of Woody Oud that order B keeps back for a re-pour, so add a 50 g bottle (₹271.40) if you go that way.

What the double arm really adds: wicks, candles, holders, days

The pair costs a few rupees a candle in wicks. The candles around it cost hundreds.

Separate cash out of the door from materials actually burned. Cash is what the order costs; consumed materials are what the test uses, leaving the rest of each pack on your shelf.

Materials consumed per arm · 250 g candles at 8% · worked example
Woody Oud at ₹4.53/g · CSI 464 at ₹0.51/g · wicks at pack price per wick · your jars excluded
Line Single arm Double arm
Candles 3 × C2, 3 × Cotton Braided 3 × (2 × C1), 3 × (2 × C2)
Woody Oud 120 g = ₹543.74 120 g = ₹543.74
CSI 464 1,380 g = ₹700.21 1,380 g = ₹700.21
Wicks burned 6 = ₹64.32 12 = ₹92.04
Materials consumed ₹1,308.28 ₹1,336.00
Per candle C2 ₹216.77 · Cotton Braided ₹219.33 2 × C1 ₹219.13 · 2 × C2 ₹226.21
Jars 6 of yours 6 of yours

Oil and wax are 93.1% of what the double arm burns; the twelve wicks are the rest. Each candle carries ₹207.33 of oil and wax before it gets a wick, so the wick choice moves a candle's cost by a few rupees at most. A 2 × C1 candle (₹219.13) is actually ₹0.20 cheaper than a Cotton Braided candle (₹219.33); a 2 × C2 candle is ₹6.88 dearer. All per-candle figures exclude your jar, labour, freight, packaging and GST.

The day count is the hidden line

In the diagram's worked example, the singles pour on day 0, cure for three days (the Woody Oud page: "Cure soy wax candles for 48-72 hours before burn testing"), and burn one 3–4 hour session a day. Burn 3 is read on day 6. If Cotton Braided leaves a ring and only then you order a C1 pack, the order, a five-day delivery (your figure, not ours: CSI dispatches from Pune and publishes no lead times), a second cure and three more burns put the pairs' burn-3 read on day 17. Pour both arms together and both are read on day 6. Diwali is 38 days from 1 October 2026; eleven days is more than a quarter of that.

The rough rule of thumb of an hour per 2.5 cm of width puts a first full pool at about 3.4 hours for 8.5 cm, inside the commonly quoted 3–4 hours. So a 3–4 hour session is the right length for both arms; shorter sessions will make every configuration look like it tunnels.

Mistake: ordering the 100-packs of C1 and C2 "because the double arm doubles the wick count". Why it fails: it doubles the count per candle, not the count you need: twelve wicks for three pairs of each. Fix: the C1 20 and C2 10 hold them all. Per wick, a 100-pack costs exactly what the small pack costs (₹5.90, ₹9.44); it only moves cash from your account to your shelf before the test has chosen.

Holding a pair at 8.5 cm, and the holder's 9 cm limit

A drifting pair fails like a wrong wick. Buy the fixture with the pair.

Where the two wicks sit is geometry, not a burn prediction. For a starting point (our judgement), two wicks 4.2 cm apart on a diameter of an 8.5 cm inside jar sit 2.15 cm from the glass and each has 28.37 cm² to melt, against 4.25 cm and 56.75 cm² for a single centred wick. How to move them from there is the double-wick spacing post; this page only needs the fixture to hold that spacing through the pour.

Fixtures for the twelve-candle batch
What CSI lists, what each page states, what it costs per candle · 1 October 2026
Fixture Page wording Fits a pair at 8.5 cm? Price
Steel Wick Holder "3-hole layout fits single, double, or triple wick setups"; "up to 9 cm wide" Holes in a line, spacing not stated: measure the outer pair. Rim past 9 cm if 8.5 cm is the inside (9.2 cm on our wall) ₹250.00 for 5 · ₹50.00 each
Wick Centering Device one 4 mm hole; for openings "less than 4"" (10.2 cm) Singles only: one centre hole ₹118.00 for 5 · ₹23.60 each
Candle Wick Stickers 10 mm round stickers, "Strong Adhesion"; the 100-sheet is out of stock Fixes each tab where you mark it; a pencil template sets the spacing ₹100.00 for 40 · ₹2.50 each
Two lolly sticks and tape — Any spacing you mark; keeps wicks upright nothing from us

If the Steel Wick Holder's outer holes land within a few millimetres of your planned spacing and it spans your rim, it is the cleanest fixture for production, because every candle gets the same spacing. If not, a sticker on each tab placed through a paper template, plus two sticks, holds the pair just as well for a test. A centring fault looks like a wick fault on burn 1, which is why fixtures are bought before wicks in the bent-wick post.

Count holders by the pour, not the arm
All twelve candles should come from one pot on one day, so you need twelve fixtures at once: six for pairs, six for singles. A Steel Wick Holder pack of 10 holds the six pairs and four singles (a steel holder can hold a single in its middle hole); one pack of centring devices takes the last two singles. A pack of 5 would leave the sixth pair waiting for a second pour, and a second pour is a second variable.

Pour and read both arms in one batch

Twelve candles, one pot, one changing thing: the wick configuration.

Label the bases C2-a to CB-c and 2C1-a to 2C2-c. Same wax bag, same oil bottle, same jar batch, same fill, same cure, same room.

1
Measure three jars and the rimInside diameter at rim, middle and base; outside rim width for the holder; water weight to your fill line (wax is roughly 0.86–0.9 times that, as a rule of thumb; confirm with a weighed pour).
2
Fix all twelve wicks before you meltSingles centred; pairs at 4.2 cm on a pencilled diameter, tabs stuck down, holders across the rim. Check spacing with a ruler, not by eye.
3
One pot, mixed once2,760 g of CSI 464 and 240 g of Woody Oud for twelve candles. The CSI 464 page states "Pour Temperature 80°C – 90°C"; if your jar states a lower hot-pour limit, the lower figure governs.
4
Cure all twelve togetherThe Woody Oud page says 48–72 hours before burn testing; many makers wait longer before judging throw. The wick read does not need a long cure; the throw read does.
5
Burn 3–4 hour sessions in still airTrim to about 5–6 mm; no fan or AC vent; full cool-down between sessions; burn within sight. Light both wicks of a pair at the same time.
6
Read burn 3, then keep the leaders burningRing width at four points, pool depth, flame height against a ruler, soot. Near the bottom, how close each flame sits to the glass, judged by eye and never by touch (CSI lists no non-contact thermometer).

Only 1 or 2 of 3 pass Not decided Re-pour three (60 g of oil is left for it; add a 500 g wax bag)

A centre that melts well with a thick ring left at the edge is the case the 8.5 cm ring decision tree reads in detail; a pair that melts the surface very fast is the single-lit diagnostic. This page owns only the purchase consequence: no production order until all three candles of one configuration pass the full life. How far down "full life" means is the acceptance-depth post.

Mistake: treating the double arm as a back-up and burning it only if the single fails. Why it fails: you lose the comparison. A pair that reaches the edge calmly while Cotton Braided also passes is a real choice, decided on soot, flame, depth and labour, not on which arm you lit first. Fix: burn both arms on the same days, and choose on the full-life record. Moving from one larger wick to two smaller later is a change with its own checklist: the one-to-two revalidation post.

From the winning arm to a production order

The arm that wins sets the wick count per candle. The wick count sets the order.

Once one configuration passes the full life, size the order from your own volume: wicks = candles × wicks per candle × (1 + allowance). The 5% allowance and 160 candles a month are our worked example; the formula and the two approval gates are set out in the cluster hub. Because C1, C2 and Cotton Braided are flat per wick, choose packs that add up to the count and stop.

Production exposure · worked example: 160 candles a month in your 8.5 cm jar
Wicks = 160 × wicks per candle × 1.05 · flat per-wick pricing · oil line for scale · all figures declared
Winning configuration Wicks a month Wick cost a month Packs that cover it
Cotton Braided single 168 ₹2,016.00 100 + 50 + 10 + 10 = ₹2,040.00
2 × C1 336 ₹1,982.40 three 100-packs + two 20-packs = ₹2,006.00
2 × C2 336 ₹3,171.84 three 100-packs + two 20-packs = ₹3,209.60
For scale: Woody Oud, 3,200 g — ₹14,499.84 3 × 1 kg + 2 × 100 g

The wick bill hardly separates Cotton Braided from 2 × C1; 2 × C2 adds ₹1,155.84 a month over Cotton Braided here. What separates them in production is the second wick: twice the setting, twice the sticking, twice the trimming instruction for your customer. Weigh that labour with the scorecard post before you commit. Next to ₹14,499.84 of oil a month, the wicks are small either way.

Reorder point for a 2 × C1 winner, worked example: 11.2 wicks a day × a 12-day order-to-bench time + 7 days of safety stock = reorder at 213 wicks. The 12 days is your figure; confirm dispatch with us on WhatsApp before a big run. Per-SKU reorder points for a mixed range are the 500-candles-a-month reorder post.

Don't buy the 1,000-pack on approval day: at 336 C1 a month it is 3.0 months of stock at the same ₹5.90 per wick as the 20-pack. And a double-wick approval is narrower than it looks: it holds for this jar, this wax, this oil and this load. Swap Woody Oud for a lighter oil and the pair can turn out to be too much, the case in the deep-pool double-wick post. Argued against our own interest: buy a month plus safety stock, and let the formula size the next order.

What to buy for the two-arm order, and what to skip

Five items, in the order the two-arm test needs them, chosen on page statements, price and stock on 1 October 2026. Nothing here is ranked on burn performance: CSI publishes no wick-performance data. Oil candle counts use 20 g per 250 g candle and 12 g per 150 g candle.

1
wick · the top tabbed single
Cotton Braided Wicks Ready Made
The single you expect to win at 8.5 cm, and the reason this page exists. The page says it is "engineered for large-diameter candles exceeding 8 cm", with "preventing tunneling" as its own claim, and gives one dimension: "Height of the wick is 10.16 cm". An 8.5 cm inside diameter is past that line, so it heads the single arm. The limitation that decides the order: CSI lists no larger single tabbed wick. If Cotton Braided leaves a ring, the next step is a pair, which is why the pair belongs in the same order.

Eco Candle Wicks — Thin (C1) and Thick (C2)
C2 is the single arm's low anchor; C1 and C2 make the two pairs. The page describes wicks of "natural fibers like cotton and paper" that "pair perfectly with soy wax" and, in the text we captured, states no length, width or jar range. Stock on 1 October 2026: the C1 10-pack is out of stock, so the smallest C1 you can buy is the 20; every C2 pack is in. Per wick, the price is flat in every pack (₹5.90 C1, ₹9.44 C2). Argued against our own interest: the C1 20-pack (₹118.00) is the only wick line the double arm adds to your order.

Steel Wick Holder (Set of 5)
The page says "3-hole layout fits single, double, or triple wick setups" and "Fits most jar diameters (up to 9 cm wide)". Two honest catches at 8.5 cm. The holes sit in a line and the text we captured states no spacing, so measure the outer pair against your planned 4.2 cm before you rely on it. And if 8.5 cm is your inside diameter, the rim is about 9.2 cm across on our 0.35 cm wall assumption, past the stated 9 cm: lay one across your jar before you buy ten. Ask us the hole distance.

Woody Oud Fragrance Oil
The oil this page is costed on. The page lists "citrus and spice top notes opening into rich oud and patchouli heart, settling into warm woody notes, amber, and musk", states "candles (6-10%)", and says "Cure soy wax candles for 48-72 hours before burn testing". At 8% you are inside both the oil page's 10% and CSI 464's 10%. In the text we captured the page gives no vanillin figure. Resinous, heavier oils are commonly linked to needing a wick step up: a tendency, not a measured result. Price fact: from 100 g up the per-gram price does not fall at all (₹4.53); the 500 g is exactly five 100 g bottles.

Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464 (Flakes Form) For Container Candles
The worked example's wax. The page states "Fragrance Load Up to 10%" and "Pour Temperature 80°C – 90°C"; 8% of total weight is 8.70% of wax weight, inside 10% on either reading. Price is flat at ₹0.51 a gram from 1 kg to 10 kg, and the 500 g bag costs more per gram. If you pour a different wax, run both arms in that wax: wick results do not travel between waxes.

Skip for this test: Performance Wooden Wicks (₹590.00 for 10, ₹59.00 a wick): one listing with no widths, and CSI does not sell a wider wooden wick, so it cannot form either arm. Eco Braided Wicks (₹472.00 for 5 m) and the Braided Wick Roll (₹706.82): unsized, cut to length; they belong to the in-between case, not a first order. Eco Candle Wicks Loose: its page describes it for "2 inch diameters", far below 8.5 cm. And the Apothecary Dome Lid jar is about 10 cm across on its page, not 8.5 cm: do not buy it as a stand-in for your jar.

Diwali is 8 November 2026, 38 days from 1 October 2026. Pour both arms this week and burn 3 is read within days; the full-life burns for the winner take the weeks after. Send us the approved configuration and your candle count: we will quote the wicks, Woody Oud and CSI 464 with a GST invoice and a dispatch date.

The CSI principle
If your top single is our top single, order the pair with it.
At 8.5 cm the double arm adds ₹118.00 of wicks and six candles. Ordering it later adds a delivery and, in our worked example, 11 days. Either way, nothing goes to production before a full-life pass.
"A ladder with nothing above the rung you expect to win is not a ladder. At 8.5 cm, the rung above Cotton Braided is two wicks."
— CandleMakingSuppliesIndia
Why trust this guide

CandleMakingSuppliesIndia sells the wicks, holders, Woody Oud and CSI 464 named here, and does not sell finished candles. This page still tells you that the double arm adds one ₹118.00 wick pack, that bigger packs save nothing per wick, that our single tabbed wicks stop at Cotton Braided, that our steel holder's stated fit ends at 9 cm, and that we list no 8.5 cm jar.

Every price was verified on CSI's live store on 1 October 2026. Stock was checked per size: the Eco C1 10-pack and the 100-sticker sheet are out of stock on that date and are flagged where they appear; every other size shown is in stock. Product wording is quoted from the pages; where a page is silent in the text we captured, we say so.

The expected winner, the ordering rule, the 250 g fill, the 0.35 cm wall, the 4.2 cm starting spacing, the cure-session-delivery calendar, the 5% allowance and the production figures are our judgement or worked examples; melt-pool times and flame benchmarks are commonly cited rules of thumb. Frequently asked questions

Should an 8.5 cm candle have one wick or two?
Test both. At 8.5 cm inside (56.75 cm²) a single Cotton Braided is a likely candidate, but CSI lists no larger single, so put 2 × C1 and 2 × C2 in the same order. Choose on full-life results, not on diameter.
How many wicks do I need to test single and double wick together?
Three candles per configuration: 3 C2 and 3 Cotton Braided singles, plus 6 C1 and 6 C2 for three pairs of each, 18 wicks in all. CSI's C1 20, C2 10 and Cotton Braided 10 cover them for ₹332.40.
Is a double wick more expensive than one big wick?
Not by much with CSI wicks. Two C1 cost ₹11.80 a candle, one Cotton Braided ₹12.00, two C2 ₹18.88. The bigger cost of a double wick is the labour of setting two wicks, not the wicks.
Can I use a steel wick holder for a double wick candle?
CSI's Steel Wick Holder page says its three holes fit single, double or triple setups and that it fits jars up to 9 cm wide. The holes are in a line and their spacing is not stated, so measure them against your planned spacing and check it spans your rim.
How far apart should two wicks be in an 8.5 cm jar?
There is no fixed figure. As a starting point for testing, 4.2 cm apart on a diameter leaves each wick 2.15 cm from the glass of an 8.5 cm inside jar. Adjust from the burn results.
How much fragrance oil do I need for a 250 g candle at 8%?
20 g of oil and 230 g of wax, with load as a percentage of total candle weight. Twelve test candles need 240 g; three 100 g bottles of Woody Oud (₹1,359.36) cover them and leave 60 g.
Your two-arm order for an 8.5 cm jar
C1 20 + C2 10 + Cotton Braided 10 = ₹332.40: the single arm and the double arm in one shipment.
Measure the inside of your jar and the rim, pour twelve 250 g candles at 8% from one pot, burn both arms on the same days, screen at burn 3 and approve only on the full life. Send us your measurements on WhatsApp and we will check the order before you pay.

Editorial standards & sources
About this guide: part of CSI's cluster on jar diameter → wick testing (5501–5520) in the series on wick purchase × jar × wax × fragrance. This page answers one decision for an 8.5 cm soy candle: whether a double-wick arm belongs in the first order, what it adds in wicks, candles, holders and days, and how the winning arm becomes a production order.

Customer reviews: The six reviews at the top of this page are genuine, published Judge.me reviews left by CSI customers on the product pages named on each card — Bamboo Wick Holder, Eco Candle Wicks, Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464 (Flakes Form) For Container Candles, Woody Oud Fragrance Oil. Non-price figures: load is a percentage of total candle weight (250 g at 8% = 20 g oil + 230 g wax; the standard 150 g candle at 8% = 12 g oil + 138 g wax). The 250 g fill, the 8.5 cm inside diameter and the 0.35 cm wall are labelled assumptions; pool area = π r² on the inside radius. Ceilings are as the pages state (CSI 464 up to 10%, pour 80–90°C; Woody Oud candles 6–10%): formulation limits, not regulatory ones. Melt-pool times (about 3–4 hours; about an hour per 2.5 cm) are commonly cited rules of thumb. The expected winner, the ordering rule, the 4.2 cm spacing, the calendar (3-day cure, one session a day, 5-day delivery), the 5% allowance, the 160-candle month and the 12-day lead time are editorial judgement and worked examples. Costs exclude jars, labour, freight, packaging and GST. Diwali 8 November 2026 is a calendar fact.
