Where to Order Candle Fragrance Oils in Bulk in Dehradun
Aktie
How much oil does a bulk run need? Candles × grams per candle. At an 8% load a 150 g candle takes 12 g and a 200 g candle 16 g, so 600 plus 400 candles is 13.6 kg — 14.2 kg with a 4% allowance for spills and residue.
What is the biggest pack? One kilogram, on all 107 listings. There is no 5 kg or 10 kg fragrance drum. Above a kilo you multiply kilos at the listed rate — that rate is your ceiling — and ask for a quote.
Should I mix rungs or round up to whole kilos? Usually round up. On Lavender, two kilos cost ₹10,442 (₹5.22 a gram) while 1.8 kg assembled from a kilo, a 500 g and three 100 g bottles costs ₹9,461 — ₹5.26 a gram. The round order is cheaper per gram and leaves you 200 g of cover.
Two waves, not one order
In a hot plains city the candle year has one spike and a long flat tail. Here it does not. Diwali on 8 November is the first peak, and then the part of the year when people actually light candles — cold evenings, Christmas, New Year, the wedding weeks, visitors coming up to the hills over the holidays — follows immediately behind it. A maker who buys one big festive order in October has bought for the first peak and will be reordering, at the worst possible time, for the second.
The two waves also want different products. Festive gifting is dominated by hampers, boxes and sets, which favour a smaller candle and a spiced or gourmand scent. The winter season sells single larger candles that get burned rather than gifted, which favours a bigger format and a scent that holds up over a long burn. Same supplier, same catalogue, two different baskets.
| Wave | Window | What it is for | Candles | Oil | Wax |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Wave 1 | Poured and cured before 8 November | Diwali hampers, corporate boxes, gift sets — 150 g candles in lidded jars | 600 × 150 g | 7.2 kg | 82.8 kg |
| Wave 2 | Poured from November, sold through the cold months | Christmas, New Year, wedding weeks, visitor gifting — 200 g single candles | 400 × 200 g | 6.4 kg | 73.6 kg |
| Net requirement | 1,000 | 13.6 kg | 156.4 kg | ||
| With a 4% planning allowance | Spills, top-ups, the film left in each bottle, rejected jars | 14.2 kg | 162.7 kg | ||
| As actually bought | Rounded to the rungs that exist | 14.2 kg · ₹79,135 | 165 kg · ₹83,721 |
The purchase schedule, scent by scent
Here is the plan turned into a basket. Four scents, split across the two waves so that each wave's mix suits what it sells, and every quantity rounded up to rungs that actually exist. The right-hand column is the effective price per kilo you end up paying after that rounding, which is not always the kilo price.
| Fragrance oil | Needed | Packs to buy | Bought | Cost | Effective per kg |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Fallen Leaves | 2.4 kg | 2 × 1 kg + 1 × 500 gm | 2.5 kg | ₹10,620 | ₹4,248 |
| Lavender | 1.8 kg | 2 × 1 kg | 2 kg | ₹10,442 | ₹5,221 |
| Wild Berries | 1.8 kg | 1 × 1 kg + 1 × 500 g + 3 × 100 g | 1.8 kg | ₹10,795 | ₹5,997.22 |
| Juicy Orange | 1.2 kg | 1 × 1 kg + 2 × 100 g | 1.2 kg | ₹8,997 | ₹7,497.50 |
| Wave 1 total | 7.2 kg | 7.5 kg | ₹40,854 | ₹5,447.20 |
| Fragrance oil | Needed | Packs to buy | Bought | Cost | Effective per kg |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Lavender | 2 kg | 2 × 1 kg | 2 kg | ₹10,442 | ₹5,221 |
| Fallen Leaves | 1.6 kg | 1 × 1 kg + 1 × 500 gm + 1 × 100 gm | 1.6 kg | ₹6,844 | ₹4,277.50 |
| Wild Berries | 1.5 kg | 1 × 1 kg + 1 × 500 g | 1.5 kg | ₹8,998 | ₹5,998.67 |
| Juicy Orange | 1.6 kg | 1 × 1 kg + 1 × 500 g + 1 × 100 g | 1.6 kg | ₹11,997 | ₹7,498.13 |
| Wave 2 total | 6.4 kg | 6.7 kg | ₹38,281 | ₹5,713.58 |
Both waves together: 14.2 kg of fragrance oil for ₹79,135 at listed rates, an average of ₹5,572.89 a kilo across the four scents. Add the 165 kg of wax at ₹83,721 and the fragrance is 48.6% of the raw-material bill before a single jar, wick or lid — which is why the fragrance decision is the one that deserves the burn test, and why the scents are ordered first.
Why the pack ladder decides the invoice
Look again at the "effective per kg" column. On three of the four scents it barely moves, because their rungs are priced almost perfectly proportionally. On one it moves enough to change what you should order. That is the whole of bulk pricing on this catalogue: not a discount to negotiate, but a ladder to read.
| Scent | 1.8 kg from mixed rungs | 2 kg as two whole kilos | Per gram, mixed | Per gram, rounded up | What to do |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Lavender | 1 kg + 500 gm + 3 × 100 gm = ₹9,461 | ₹10,442 | ₹5.26 | ₹5.22 | Round up. The 100 gm rung is ₹5.40 a gram against ₹5.22 at the kilo |
| Fallen Leaves | 1 kg + 500 gm + 3 × 100 gm = ₹7,788 | ₹8,496 | ₹4.33 | ₹4.25 | Round up if you will use it — the 100 gm rung is ₹4.72 a gram |
| Wild Berries | 1 kg + 500 g + 3 × 100 g = ₹10,795 | ₹11,998 | ₹6.00 | ₹6.00 | Flat. Buy the exact quantity; there is nothing to gain either way |
| Juicy Orange | 1 kg + 500 g + 3 × 100 g = ₹13,495 | ₹14,998 | ₹7.50 | ₹7.50 | Flat. Buy exactly what the plan needs |
Four listings that survive a multi-kilo order
Chosen for the two things that matter in a bulk order: a ladder deep enough to top up without changing scent, and a page that states enough to pour from. Each card lists every rung, the price per kilo at each, and how many 200 g candles at 8% that rung fills — the winter-wave format.

The order of operations
Bulk orders fail on sequence more often than on price. Fragrance is the only component in a candle whose substitution requires a new burn test — you can change a jar, a wick or even a wax and still recognise the product, but you cannot change the scent without redeveloping it. So fragrance goes first, and everything else is scheduled around it.
| Order | What you buy | Why it goes here | What happens if it goes last |
|---|---|---|---|
| First | Wave 1 fragrance — 7.5 kg, ₹40,854 | Only component with no substitute. A sold-out rung has to be discovered early | You find out in late October that a core scent has no kilo in stock |
| Second | Wax — 165 kg, ₹83,721, on a flat per-kilo price | Interchangeable across recipes, so a delay here costs days rather than a season | Little harm, as long as it arrives before the pour week |
| Third | Wicks, jars, lids, stickers | Wicking is decided by the tested recipe, so this order follows the test, not the plan | You wick by guesswork on a 600-candle run |
| Fourth | Wave 2 fragrance — 6.7 kg, ₹38,281 | Ordered while wave 1 is curing, so the bottles are not opened months early | You are reordering in December, in your busiest weeks |
One timing note specific to the calendar this plan sits in. Working backwards from 8 November: a soy container candle wants one to two weeks of cure before it is sold — the Luxury Soy Wax Chunks page asks for a minimum of 48 hours and ideally one to two weeks before burn testing — and a 600-candle run takes real days to pour, label and box. Add transit. That puts the wave 1 fragrance order comfortably inside September, while the wet months are still finishing, rather than in the last fortnight of October when the only remaining variable is how fast you can work. For the longer version of this argument see how early candle brands should order fragrance oils for Diwali and how much fragrance oil 500 Diwali candles need.
The message that gets a usable quote
A quote request is a document, not a chat. Six lines, in this order, and you will get an answer you can plan with.
Holding 14 kg of oil through a Doon autumn
Once 14 kilos of fragrance is in your workroom it becomes an inventory problem, and the wet end of the year plus a cold pouring season is a combination worth planning for. One thing first, stated plainly: no CSI fragrance page states a shelf life, an expiry, a best-before date or a storage instruction, and we are not going to invent one. What follows is ordinary practice for handling opened bottles and finished stock, not a specification from a page.
| Situation | What you will notice | Practical response |
|---|---|---|
| Wave 2 bottles sitting from September to November | Nothing, if they stay closed — but every opened bottle is one you have started a clock on | Order wave 2 as a separate delivery and do not open it until the pour. That is the main operational reason to split the order |
| Decanting from a 1 kg bottle for each batch | Residue left in jugs and cups, which is where most of your 3–5% allowance actually goes | Weigh into one cup per scent per batch, scrape it, and use a pouring jug rather than tipping from the bottle |
| Humid weeks while you are building stock | Condensation on cool glass, labels lifting, cartons softening on a concrete floor | Let jars reach room temperature before labelling, keep cartons on pallets or planks, and store finished candles boxed and lidded |
| A cold workroom in the pour weeks | Wax thickening in the jug before the batch is finished, cloudy patches against cold glass | Pour in smaller lots, warm the empty jars first with a hot air gun at ₹531, and hold the melt at temperature |
| Finished stock waiting for a December retail date | Cure continuing in the box — which is fine, and often improves the candle | Box with lids on, out of direct light, and label with the pour date so you sell oldest first |
The last row is the one worth building a habit around. In a two-wave year you will have candles from October and candles from November in the same store room by December, and the only way to keep that straight is a pour date on every box. It also makes the argument for splitting the order concrete: wave 2's fragrance arriving in November, unopened, is 6.7 kg you have not exposed to two months of a workroom.
CANDLEMAKINGSUPPLIESINDIA supplies raw materials, not finished candles, and has no branch, dealer, stockist, counter or warehouse in Dehradun. A page about bulk ordering is exactly where a supplier is tempted to promise a lead time or hint at a trade rate. We publish neither, because neither is published anywhere on the store: no delivery days, no courier names, no shipping rates, no MOQ, no trade account and no volume-discount table. What we do instead is show you the ceiling arithmetic so that you know the worst case before you ask for a quote.
Every price and pack on this page is live CSI stock in September 2026 and links to the product page, where current pricing always takes precedence. Stated fields are quoted only where the page states them: Fallen Leaves 6–10% for candles and 8–12% for wax melts; Lavender 6–10% for candles and 10–15% for wax melts with a described strength of "strong"; Juicy Orange 8–10% in soy wax with a stated note that yellowing in white or uncoloured wax is unlikely and a small test batch is still advised; Wild Berries a note structure only, with no stated load, flash point or cure. No fragrance listing in the range states a shelf life, storage instruction or expiry, so the handling advice above is presented as ordinary practice rather than as a specification. Customer comments about throw are published buyer feedback, not measurements — CSI publishes no throw test, room-size rating or burn data for any oil.

Figures verified September 2026: Load is treated as a share of the finished candle — a 150 g candle at 8% is 138 g of wax and 12 g of oil, a 200 g candle is 184 g and 16 g. Wave 1: 600 × 12 g = 7.2 kg of oil and 600 × 138 g = 82.8 kg of wax. Wave 2: 400 × 16 g = 6.4 kg and 400 × 184 g = 73.6 kg. Net 13.6 kg of oil and 156.4 kg of wax; a 4% planning allowance gives 14.2 kg and 162.7 kg. Fragrance prices used — Fallen Leaves 15 gm ₹94.40, 50 gm ₹236, 100 gm ₹472, 500 gm ₹2,124, 1 kg ₹4,248; Lavender 15 gm ₹105.02, 50 gm ₹270, 100 gm ₹540, 500 gm ₹2,620, 1 kg ₹5,221; Wild Berries 50 g ₹299, 100 g ₹599, 500 g ₹2,999, 1 kg ₹5,999; Juicy Orange 15 g ₹126, 50 g ₹379, 100 g ₹749, 500 g ₹3,749, 1 kg ₹7,499. Wave 1 as bought: Fallen Leaves 2 × ₹4,248 + ₹2,124 = ₹10,620 for 2.5 kg; Lavender 2 × ₹5,221 = ₹10,442 for 2 kg; Wild Berries ₹5,999 + ₹2,999 + 3 × ₹599 = ₹10,795 for 1.8 kg; Juicy Orange ₹7,499 + 2 × ₹749 = ₹8,997 for 1.2 kg — 7.5 kg for ₹40,854. Wave 2 as bought: Lavender 2 × ₹5,221 = ₹10,442 for 2 kg; Fallen Leaves ₹4,248 + ₹2,124 + ₹472 = ₹6,844 for 1.6 kg; Wild Berries ₹5,999 + ₹2,999 = ₹8,998 for 1.5 kg; Juicy Orange ₹7,499 + ₹3,749 + ₹749 = ₹11,997 for 1.6 kg — 6.7 kg for ₹38,281. Both waves: 14.2 kg for ₹79,135, an average of ₹5,572.89 a kilo. Per-gram rungs: Lavender ₹5.221 at 1 kg, ₹5.24 at 500 gm, ₹5.40 at 100 gm; Fallen Leaves ₹4.248 at 1 kg and 500 gm, ₹4.72 at 100 gm; Wild Berries ₹5.999, ₹5.998, ₹5.99; Juicy Orange ₹7.499, ₹7.498, ₹7.49. Wax as bought: Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464 16 × 10 kg at ₹5,074 = ₹81,184 plus 1 × 5 kg at ₹2,537 = 165 kg for ₹83,721, at a listed ₹507.40 a kilo across the 1 kg, 5 kg and 10 kg packs. Fragrance is ₹79,135 of the ₹1,62,856 wax-plus-oil bill, or 48.6%. Other items: Hot Air Gun ₹531, Candle Wax Pouring Jug ₹531. Stated page fields quoted: Fallen Leaves 6–10% for candles and 8–12% for wax melts; Lavender 6–10% for candles and 10–15% for wax melts; Juicy Orange 8–10% in soy wax with a stated note that yellowing in white or uncoloured wax is unlikely; Wild Berries states no load, flash point or cure. No listing in the fragrance range states a shelf life, storage instruction or expiry, so handling advice is presented as ordinary practice; no throw test, room-size rating or burn data exists for any oil, and published customer comments are buyer feedback rather than measurement. Two listings share the Pomegranate Splash name and two share the Spicy Raspberry name; 11 listings have no size in stock and 17 more show a 1 kg size that is unavailable. Loads are formulation limits, not regulatory limits. Diwali 2026 is 8 November 2026; other festivals and the wedding season are named without dates. Candle counts and the two-wave split are an illustration at one output level, not a forecast, and no delivery time, courier, shipping rate, local stockist or customer count for Dehradun is claimed, because none is published. One kilogram is the largest fragrance pack listed; multi-kilo figures are the listed rate multiplied, which is a ceiling rather than a quote. Prices and availability change — the linked product pages are always authoritative.
