A minimum order quantity only matters if it forces you to buy more than you can use. CSI's listed store states no minimum order at all, so the real floor is the smallest size each oil is sold in. This page measures that floor in grams, in candles and in rupees, oil by oil.
15 g
the smallest in-stock size for 51 of 86 oils, from ₹68.44 · enough for one 200 g candle at 7.5% or three 50 g test pots at 8% · CSI live pricing, September 2026
Quick answers — read this first
Does CSI have a minimum order quantity for fragrance oils? The listed store states no minimum order. You can buy one bottle of one oil. In practice the smallest size an oil is sold in is its minimum: 15 g for 51 oils, 50 g for 30 and 100 g for 4. One oil, Sacred Sandal Ember, is in stock only at 500 g on the pull date.

What is the cheapest minimum? ₹68.44 for 15 g of Eucalyptus Spearmint. The median 15 g across the 51 oils is ₹106.20. Where an oil starts at 50 g, the cheapest is Royal Apricot at ₹183.00.

How many candles does a 15 g minimum make? At an 8% load, 15 g scents 187.5 g of candle: one 180–200 g jar, or three 50 g test pots with 3 g to spare. A 50 g minimum scents 625 g, which is 3.12 candles of 200 g. See grams and candles.

What would one bottle of every oil cost? All 51 in-stock 15 g testers together cost ₹5,861.44. The smallest in-stock size of all 86 in-stock oils costs ₹27,690.44. Nobody needs every oil, but the figures show how low the entry cost is. See minimum spend.
The short answer
Minimum per oil: No minimum order stated. Smallest in-stock size: 15 g (51 oils) · 50 g (30) · 100 g (4) · 500 g (1, Sacred Sandal Ember).
In candles: At 8%: 15 g scents 187.5 g of candle · 50 g scents 625 g · 100 g scents 1,250 g. A 200 g candle holds 16 g of oil.
Entry cost: Cheapest 15 g ₹68.44 · median 15 g ₹106.20 · all 51 testers ₹5,861.44. Low MOQ for small businesses turns a budget into an oil count.

Your real minimum per oil at CSI — the smallest size in stock, and what it scents Bar length = number of in-stock oils whose smallest size is this pack (86 oils in stock, 24 September 2026) 15 g 51 oils · ₹68.44–₹199.00 · scents 187.5 g of candle 50 g 30 oils · ₹183.00–₹1,203.00 · scents 625 g (3.12 × 200 g candles) 100 g 4 oils · ₹341.00–₹799.00 · scents 1,250 g (6.25 × 200 g candles) 500 g 1 oil · ₹3,999.00 · scents 6,250 g (31.25 × 200 g candles) Candle figures at an 8% load: 16 g of oil in a 200 g candle. No minimum order is stated on the store.
Every in-stock oil sits in exactly one bar, according to the smallest size you can buy it in on 24 September 2026. Most of the catalogue can be tested for well under ₹200 an oil. The 30 oils that start at 50 g are mostly the newer and inspired-by profiles, and the single 500 g entry is an oil whose smaller sizes are out of stock, not a stated minimum.
Straight answer
Which candle fragrance oil supplier in India has a low MOQ, and what does low actually mean?
A low MOQ is one that lets you buy only what you can test or sell. On CSI's listed store no minimum order quantity is stated, so you can check out with a single bottle. The real floor is the smallest size each oil is sold in. For 51 of the 86 oils in stock, that is 15 g, priced from ₹68.44 (Eucalyptus Spearmint) to ₹199.00, with a median of ₹106.20. Thirty more oils start at 50 g, from ₹183.00. Four start at 100 g, and one, Sacred Sandal Ember, has only its 500 g in stock on the pull date. In candle terms, 15 g at an 8% load scents 187.5 g of candle: one 200 g jar at 7.5%, or three 50 g test pots. So low MOQ here means you can prove a scent in your own wax for well under ₹200 an oil, before committing to 100 g or a kilo. What it does not mean is cheap per gram. The 15 g carries a median 23.1% premium over the 100 g, so the minimum is the right size for testing and the wrong size for production. Buying small quantities for a business covers that trade-off.
One line: the smallest size in stock is your MOQ — check it per oil, then test there and produce from 100 g up.
The lowest entry point in the catalogue is Eucalyptus Spearmint at ₹68.44 for 15 g. Five 15 g testers across five scent families (Eucalyptus Spearmint, Sandalwood, British Rose, Lavender and Dark Vanilla) cost ₹491.08 together, and each scents one 200 g test candle.

What MOQ means on a listed store

An MOQ is a supplier's floor. The useful question is not whether a supplier has one, but whether its floor is below the amount you can actually use.

Minimum order quantity is a term from the bulk trade. A manufacturer who blends to order sets a floor below which a batch is not worth making: often several kilos of one fragrance, sometimes more. A retailer of pre-packed bottles works differently. The bottle is the unit, and the smallest bottle becomes the practical minimum. CSI sells from a listed store, so the second rule applies. No minimum order quantity is stated anywhere on the product pages for fragrance oils. You can buy a single 15 g bottle, and you can put fifteen different oils in one basket at their smallest sizes.

That does not make every oil equally easy to buy small. Each product lists its own sizes, and not every size is in stock on a given day. The effective minimum for an oil is therefore the smallest size that is in stock right now. On the pull date of 24 September 2026 that gives four groups, shown in the diagram above and priced below. Anything beyond the listed packs, such as several kilos of one oil, moves to a quote on WhatsApp, which wholesale fragrance oils with low minimum order quantity explains.

In-stock sizes only · CSI live pricing, 24 September 2026
The effective minimum for every oil in stock
Smallest in-stock size Oils Cheapest minimum Dearest minimum Candle it scents at 8% 200 g candles
15 g 51 ₹68.44 — Eucalyptus Spearmint ₹199.00 — Tangerine, Freshwater (BBW Inspired) 187.5 g 0.94
50 g 30 ₹183.00 — Royal Apricot ₹1,203.00 — Club De Nuit Intense Inspired 625 g 3.12
100 g 4 ₹341.00 — Grapefruit Oleo ₹799.00 — Smoked Rose Royale, Midnight Bakhoor Royale, Sultan's Smoke 1,250 g 6.25
500 g 1 ₹3,999.00 — Sacred Sandal Ember ₹3,999.00 6,250 g 31.25

Two things follow from the table. First, 81 of the 86 in-stock oils can be bought at 50 g or less, which is a low floor by any bulk-trade standard. Second, the minimum is a property of each oil, not of the store. A supplier who says "our MOQ is 15 g" is describing its smallest bottle, and you still need to check which oils actually come in that bottle. Seven oils in the collection have no size in stock at all on the pull date, including Rajnigandha, Mogra and Spiced Rum, so their minimum is, for now, nothing you can buy.

An oil's minimum can change without notice
When a 15 g sells out, the oil's effective minimum jumps to its next in-stock size. Moca Coffee is a live example: its 15 g is out of stock, so its minimum on the pull date is the 50 g at ₹560.00. Check the size selector on the product page before you plan a test around a specific oil, and ask on WhatsApp for a restock date if the small size matters to you.

Your minimum in grams and candles

Grams on a bottle mean little until you know what they turn into. Convert the minimum into candles, and you know whether it is too much, too little or just right.

The conversion is simple. At a fragrance load L, a candle of total weight W holds W × L grams of oil. The working load in this series is 8%, well inside the stated maximums of Luxury Soy Wax Chunks (up to 13%) and Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464 (up to 10%). Those are the wax makers' formulation limits, not regulatory ones. So a 200 g candle holds 16 g of oil and 184 g of wax, and any minimum size divided by 16 gives the number of 200 g candles it makes. The table runs the same sum for four common candle sizes.

Oil per candle at an 8% load · candle counts are exact division, before wastage
How many candles each minimum size makes
Candle (total weight) Oil per candle From 15 g From 50 g From 100 g From 500 g
50 g test pot 4 g 3.75 12.50 25.00 125.00
100 g 8 g 1.88 6.25 12.50 62.50
150 g 12 g 1.25 4.17 8.33 41.67
200 g 16 g 0.94 3.12 6.25 31.25
250 g 20 g 0.75 2.50 5.00 25.00

Real pours lose a little oil to the jug, the stirring stick and the odd spill. Plan 3–5% extra for pour loss and test burns; that is a working assumption, not a measured figure. With that allowance a 15 g bottle is best thought of as one 200 g candle at 7.5% (15 g of oil in 200 g), or three 50 g test pots at 8% with 3 g held back for a top-up. A 50 g bottle is three 200 g candles with a little left over, and a 100 g bottle is six.

That is exactly why the 15 g works as a minimum for a business. You rarely need more than one full-size candle to judge a scent. The things you are testing are cold throw after cure, hot throw in a real room, whether the oil discolours your wax, and whether the scent holds up to the price you plan to charge. One candle answers all four. Three test pots at different loads, say 6%, 8% and 10%, answer a fifth: where the oil performs best in your wax. How to Sample Candle Fragrance Oils Before Placing a Wholesale Order sets out a testing protocol in detail.

The minimum that is secretly too small. A 15 g tester of an oil you plan to sell in a 300 g three-wick candle is not a test of the product. At 8%, that candle needs 24 g of oil, so the tester cannot even fill one. Match the tester to the product: for large candles, start at 50 g, which covers two 300 g candles. For small votives or 100 g tins, 15 g covers almost two finished pieces.

Minimum spend, oil by oil

A low minimum only helps if it is also cheap enough to spread across several scents. Here is what the minimum costs across the whole in-stock collection, grouped the same way as the table above:

Sum of each oil's smallest in-stock size · CSI live pricing, 24 September 2026
What it would cost to hold every oil at its minimum
Group Oils Total at minimum size Average per oil
Starts at 15 g 51 ₹5,861.44 ₹114.93
Starts at 50 g 30 ₹15,092.00 ₹503.07
Starts at 100 g 4 ₹2,738.00 ₹684.50
Starts at 500 g 1 ₹3,999.00 ₹3,999.00
All 86 in-stock oils 86 ₹27,690.44 ₹321.98

Nobody should buy every oil. The table is there to show the shape of the entry cost. The 51 oils that start at 15 g average ₹114.93 each, so a shortlist of ten of them costs a little over ₹1,100. The 30 oils that start at 50 g average ₹503.07 each, more than four times as much. That gap is almost entirely the inspired-by and newer profiles, whose smallest bottle is bigger and whose per-gram price is higher. Club De Nuit Intense Inspired costs ₹1,203.00 for its 50 g minimum, which is ₹24.06 a gram.

So the practical rule for a small business is to shortlist mostly from the 15 g group and add one or two 50 g-start oils only where the scent is central to your range. Low MOQ fragrance oils for small candle businesses works through how many oils ₹1,000, ₹2,500, ₹5,000 and ₹10,000 buy, and I Want to Test 20 Candle Fragrances Before Launching My Brand — What Sample Sizes Should I Order? covers testing twenty scents at once.

Argued against our own interest, plainly. A low minimum is good for you and not especially good for us: we would rather sell you a kilo. But the honest advice is to buy the minimum for every oil you have not yet tested, even at a higher price per gram. A 15 g tester that tells you an oil is wrong for your wax costs ₹68.44 to ₹199.00. A kilo that tells you the same thing costs ₹2,832.00 to ₹24,056.00. The per-gram premium on the tester is the cheapest insurance you will buy.
The CSI principle
Your MOQ is the smallest amount that answers your question.
For an untested oil the question is whether it works in your wax, and one candle answers it. For a proven oil the question is how many candles you will sell before you reorder, and that answer is usually 100 g or more. Buy the minimum for the first question and never for the second.

Oils that start at 50 g, 100 g or more

Thirty-five in-stock oils have no 15 g available. Some are listed without a 15 g at all, and some have a 15 g that is out of stock. Their minimums fall into three patterns, and each needs a slightly different buying approach.

Examples with their smallest in-stock size · CSI live pricing, 24 September 2026
Where the minimum is bigger than 15 g, and why it matters
Oil Minimum in stock Price Per gram 200 g candles at 8%
Royal Apricot 50 g ₹183.00 ₹3.66 3.12
Pomegranate Splash (second listing) 50 g ₹192.00 ₹3.84 3.12
Love Spell 50 g ₹249.00 ₹4.98 3.12
Mahogany Teakwood (BBW Inspired) 50 g ₹440.00 ₹8.80 3.12
Moca Coffee (15 g out of stock) 50 g ₹560.00 ₹11.20 3.12
Grapefruit Oleo (50 g out of stock) 100 g ₹341.00 ₹3.41 6.25
Smoked Rose Royale 100 g ₹799.00 ₹7.99 6.25
Sacred Sandal Ember (100 g and 1 kg out of stock) 500 g ₹3,999.00 ₹8.00 31.25

Pattern one: value oils that start at 50 g. Royal Apricot and the second Pomegranate Splash listing have a 50 g minimum under ₹200, not far above the dearer 15 g testers. Here the larger minimum costs you very little. You get three full test candles instead of one, and you pay ₹3.66 or ₹3.84 a gram rather than the ₹6 to ₹8 a gram typical of a 15 g.

Pattern two: inspired-by and premium oils that start at 50 g. These have the highest per-gram prices in the catalogue, and a 50 g minimum between ₹440.00 and ₹1,203.00. The minimum is still low in grams, but it is a real spend. Cost one of these into a candle before you order: at 8%, 16 g of an ₹11.20-a-gram oil is ₹179.20 of fragrance in one 200 g candle, before wax, wick or jar.

Pattern three: oils whose small sizes are simply not in stock. Grapefruit Oleo lists a 50 g that is out of stock, so its minimum today is the 100 g at ₹341.00. Sacred Sandal Ember lists a 100 g and a 1 kg that are both out of stock, leaving only the 500 g at ₹3,999.00. That is not a stated MOQ, it is a stock gap, and it may close. If you want one of these oils in a small size, ask on WhatsApp whether the smaller size is due back before buying the large one.

Inspired-by oils have their own collections
Most of the 50 g-start oils sit in the BBW Inspired and Fine Perfume Fragrances collections. If your brand is built on those profiles, your realistic minimum per oil is 50 g, and a five-oil shortlist of 50 g-start oils costs between ₹1,166.00 (the five cheapest) and ₹4,341.00 (the five dearest), against ₹491.08 for the five 15 g testers in the shopping list below. Budget for it from the start.

How to judge a low-MOQ supplier

Every supplier who sells a small bottle can claim a low MOQ. The claim is only worth something if the small bottle is the same oil you will reorder in bulk.

The point of buying small is to make a decision you can scale. That puts five questions ahead of the headline minimum, and they apply to any supplier, including us.

1
Is the small size the same oil as the large size? The tester should be the same product listing, not a separate "sample" formula. At CSI, the 15 g and the 1 kg of an oil are sizes of one product. Forty-seven oils are in stock at all five sizes on the pull date. Buy Professional Candle Fragrance Oils in Small Quantities covers why this continuity matters when you scale.
2
Is the minimum in stock for the oils you want?A low floor across the catalogue means nothing if your three favourite scents start at 500 g this week. Check each oil's size selector, and note the ones with gaps.
3
Can you mix many oils in one order?A low MOQ per oil only helps if you can combine ten of them in one basket and one shipment. CSI's listed store allows any mix of oils and sizes in one order. Candle Fragrance Oil Wholesale Without Large MOQ works through a mixed order line by line.
4
What happens above the listed packs?Find out before you need it how larger quantities are priced. At CSI, listed packs go to 1 kg per oil, and anything beyond that is quoted on WhatsApp. No volume discount figure is published, so ask rather than assume.
5
Do you get the paperwork at small sizes?A GST invoice, MSDS and IFRA documentation should not depend on the size of your order. At CSI they are available on request. Ask at the time of ordering. Where Can New Candle Businesses Buy Fragrance Oil Wholesale? explains what each document is for.
6
Is the price per gram of the minimum reasonable?A low MOQ with a steep premium is fine for testing and poor for production. At CSI the 15 g costs a median 23.1% more per gram than the 100 g. Know that number before you decide how long to stay at the minimum.

A supplier comparison that stops at "lowest MOQ" tends to favour whoever sells the tiniest vial. The one that matters is the combination of a small entry size, the same oil available at production sizes, and a price ladder you can plan around. Best Fragrance Oil Supplier for Candle Startups in India turns these questions into a scored checklist.

A low MOQ is not a price. It is permission to be wrong cheaply.

A first order built at minimum sizes

Here is a small first order that uses the 15 g minimum as intended: five scents from five families, enough wax, wicks and jars to pour one 200 g test candle of each. The oils are chosen for spread, not as a recommended range. Swap any of them for scents that suit your brand.

1
Fresh · lowest minimum in the catalogue
Eucalyptus Spearmint Fragrance Oil
The cheapest entry point on the store, and a useful benchmark for fresh scents. The 15 g costs ₹68.44, which is only 28.9% more per gram than its 100 g. The 1 kg is one of the 24 oils with a real bulk saving, 13.3% below the 100 g per gram.

Royal Apricot Fragrance Oil
Royal Apricot has no 15 g, so its minimum is 50 g. At ₹183.00 that is still one of the cheapest bottles in the collection, and ₹3.66 a gram is lower than almost any 15 g. The ladder is flat from 50 g to 1 kg, so the minimum costs the same per gram as the kilo.

That is ₹1,503.08 for a complete test of five scents, and only ₹491.08 of it is fragrance. If you want a sixth, 50 g-start oil in the same order, add Royal Apricot 50 g (₹183.00), a 500 g bag of Luxury Soy Wax Chunks (₹299.00) and a second 10-pack of Thin C1 wicks (₹59.00). That brings the order to ₹2,044.08 and lets you pour three 200 g Royal Apricot candles; a second pack of jars (₹354.00) would hold them. Prices exclude freight and any GST shown at checkout. Delivery charges are shown at checkout; no free-shipping threshold is quoted in this guide.

Tools, if you are starting from nothing. A Candle Making Weighing Scale (₹354.00) matters more than anything else at small sizes, because a 1 g error on a 15 g bottle is nearly 7% of it. Add a Pen Thermometer (₹354.00) and Wick Centering Devices (₹118.00 for 5). The Candle Accessories collection has the rest. After this first order, the path is the same for every scent that passes: move it to 100 g, where the tester premium disappears, and to 1 kg when reorder frequency calls for it. Candle Fragrance Oil Price in India prices that ladder in full, and Fragrance Oil Supplier for Small-Batch Candle Makers matches pack sizes to batch sizes of 10, 25 and 50 candles.

Why trust this guide

CANDLEMAKINGSUPPLIESINDIA supplies raw materials, not finished candles. It would suit us to talk up large packs. This page does the opposite: it tells you to buy the smallest size for every untested oil, names the oils whose minimum is larger than 15 g, and flags the ones whose small sizes are out of stock rather than presenting them as a policy.

Every oil and wax price on this page comes from live CSI listings pulled on 24 September 2026 across all 93 products in the Fragrance Oils collection. Wick, jar and tool prices are those verified for Blog 760 on 10 September 2026. "Minimum" means the smallest size in stock on the pull date; the store states no minimum order quantity. Candle counts are plain division of pack weight by oil per candle.

The 8% load, the 200 g candle and the 3–5% wastage allowance are working assumptions for comparison, not a recipe. Your wax, jar and load decide your real figures. For current stock on small sizes, bulk pricing, GST invoicing, MSDS or IFRA documentation, message us on WhatsApp at +91 7397976926.

Frequently asked questions

Which fragrance oil supplier in India has the lowest MOQ?
On CSI's listed store no minimum order is stated, and 51 oils are in stock at 15 g, from ₹68.44. That is the practical floor for most of the catalogue. When comparing suppliers, check that their small size is the same oil as their bulk size and that it is in stock for the scents you want.
What is the minimum order for candle fragrance oil at CSI?
There is no stated minimum order. The effective minimum per oil is its smallest in-stock size: 15 g for 51 oils, 50 g for 30, 100 g for 4, and 500 g for Sacred Sandal Ember, whose smaller sizes are out of stock on 24 September 2026.
How many candles can I make from 15 g of fragrance oil?
At an 8% load, 15 g scents 187.5 g of candle: roughly one 200 g jar (at 7.5%), one and a quarter 150 g candles, or three 50 g test pots with 3 g left over. Plan 3–5% extra for pour loss.
Can I order different fragrance oils in small quantities in one order?
Yes. The listed store lets you combine any oils and sizes in one basket, so ten different 15 g testers can go in one order. Candle Fragrance Oil Wholesale Without Large MOQ shows how to build a mixed order across many oils.
Is buying fragrance oil in small quantities more expensive?
Per gram, usually yes. The 15 g carries a median 23.1% premium over the same oil's 100 g, ranging from −0.6% (Saffron Cedarwood) to +123.8% (Mahogany Shea). Above 50 g most oils are priced flat. Use the minimum to test and 100 g or more to produce.
Do I need a GST number to buy small quantities of fragrance oil?
This guide does not set any GST-number requirement, and none is stated for ordering on the listed store. If you need a GST invoice for your business, ask on WhatsApp when you order. MSDS and IFRA documentation are also available on request.

About this guide: Written by the CANDLEMAKINGSUPPLIESINDIA team. Product recommendations reflect the CSI range. The method of converting a supplier's smallest pack into grams of candle and candle counts applies to any supplier's fragrance oils.

Customer reviews: The six reviews at the top of this page are genuine, published Judge.me reviews left by CSI customers on the product pages named on each card — Eco Candle Wicks, Premium Candle Wicking Needle and Bamboo Wick Holder. They are general product reviews, not assessments of the guidance set out here. Names, star ratings, dates and products are as recorded by Judge.me and wording is unedited. Non-price figures and assumptions: Candle counts assume an 8% fragrance load (16 g oil in a 200 g candle) and are pack weight ÷ oil per candle, before wastage. The 3–5% allowance for pour loss and test burns is a working assumption. The 15 g per-gram premium (median 23.1% over 100 g, 55 oils listing both, range −0.6% to +123.8%) and the count of 47 oils in stock at all five sizes are arithmetic on the listed prices. Fragrance-load ceilings of up to 13% (Luxury Soy Wax Chunks) and up to 10% (CSI 464) are the wax makers' stated formulation maximums, not regulatory limits. The store states no minimum order quantity; no free-shipping threshold or delivery time is quoted here. Diwali 2026 falls on 8 November.
