Commercial Fragrance · Buying for Wax Melts
Buying oil for melts online is a pack-size decision more than a scent decision. Every CSI oil is sold by weight, and for melts the arithmetic is unusually friendly: at a 10% load, one gram of oil scents one illustrative 10 g melt. So the number on the bottle is the number of melts it makes. This page turns that into three carts you can actually place.
₹1,537.10
a first online cart for melts: five 15 g oils, 1 kg Luxury Soy Wax Chunks and a 40-cavity mould — 75 illustrative 10 g melts at 10% · CSI live pricing, September 2026
Quick answers — read this first
Where can I buy fragrance oils for wax melts online in India? CSI sells 93 oils in its Fragrance Oils collection, 86 of them with at least one size in stock on 24 September 2026, in 15 g, 50 g, 100 g, 500 g and 1 kg packs. Wax, melt moulds, dyes and melt containers are in the same store, so one order covers a melt run.

Which size should I buy for wax melts? 15 g to test, 100 g to repeat, 1 kg only for proven sellers. At 10%, 15 g makes fifteen 10 g melts and 100 g makes a hundred. The 15 g costs a median 23.1% more per gram than the same oil's 100 g, so do not produce from testers.

Is there a minimum order? The store states no minimum order. In practice the smallest listed size is the minimum per oil: 15 g for 51 oils, 50 g or 100 g for the rest. We do not publish delivery times, free-shipping thresholds or discount percentages here; check at checkout or ask on WhatsApp.

How many wax melts does 100 g of fragrance oil make? At an illustrative 10 g melt: 125 at 8%, 100 at 10%, 76.92 at 13% (13% is the ceiling on Luxury Soy Wax Chunks). You will also need 9 g of wax per melt at 10% — 900 g for the hundred.
The short answer
Where: CSI's Fragrance Oils collection: 93 oils, 15 g to 1 kg, with melt wax options, nine melt moulds and melt containers in the same store.
Which size: 15 g (from ₹68.44) to test · 100 g (from ₹300.00) to repeat · 1 kg (from ₹2,832.00) for proven sellers. At 10%, grams of oil = number of 10 g melts.
First cart: Five 15 g oils (₹466.10) + 1 kg Chunks (₹599.00) + 40 Cavity Square Mould (₹472.00) = ₹1,537.10 for 75 test melts.
Building an online melt order in three carts — what each pack size makes Illustrative 10 g melts at a 10% load on Luxury Soy Wax Chunks: 1 g of oil per melt, so grams of oil = melts 75 melts Cart 1 · test five oils × 15 g ₹466.10 oil 200 melts Cart 2 · repeat two winners × 100 g ₹770.54 oil 1,000 melts Cart 3 · production one proven oil × 1 kg ₹3,327.60–₹4,177.20
Bar heights are illustrative of scale, not to exact proportion. Cart 1 uses five 15 g oils; cart 2 uses 100 g of Peach Melon Berry and Cucumber Green Tea (₹770.54); cart 3 is one 1 kg of either (₹3,327.60 or ₹4,177.20). The 10 g melt is illustrative — CSI does not publish cavity weights, so weigh one filled cavity of your mould.
Straight answer
How should I buy fragrance oils for wax melts online in India?
Buy by the number of melts you need, not by the bottle. At an illustrative 10 g melt and a 10% load, one gram of oil scents one melt, so a 15 g tester makes fifteen and a 100 g bottle makes a hundred. On CSI's Fragrance Oils collection the 15 g costs ₹68.44 to ₹199.00, the 100 g ₹300.00 to ₹2,406.00 and the 1 kg ₹2,832.00 to ₹24,056.00. The 15 g carries a median 23.1% premium per gram over the same oil's 100 g, and above 100 g most oils are priced flat — so test in 15 g, repeat in 100 g, and buy 1 kg only for a proven seller. A sensible first cart is five 15 g oils, a kilo of Luxury Soy Wax Chunks (published ceiling 13%) and one mould: ₹1,537.10 for 75 test melts. The store states no minimum order beyond each oil's smallest size. Check every size's stock line before paying, and message CSI on WhatsApp for GST invoicing, IFRA documentation or anything the page does not say.
One line: at 10% in a 10 g melt, grams of oil equals melts — so buy the number of melts you can actually sell.
Start with the cheapest-tier testers: Peach Melon Berry ₹81.42, Citrus Lemon ₹81.42 and Cucumber Green Tea ₹93.22 — ₹256.06 for 45 g, which is forty-five illustrative 10 g melts at 10%. Add a 500 g bag of Luxury Soy Wax Chunks at ₹299.00 and you can pour all three this week.

What each pack size makes in melts

A candle maker asks "how many candles in a bottle". A melt maker can skip the division: at 10%, the grams on the label are the melts in the bottle.

Load is a percentage of the finished weight. An illustrative 10 g melt at 10% is 1.0 g of oil and 9.0 g of wax. At 8% it is 0.8 g of oil, and at 13% — the stated ceiling on Luxury Soy Wax Chunks — it is 1.3 g. Divide any pack by those figures and you have the melt count. The table below does it for every pack size CSI lists, with the cheapest and median price at each size across in-stock oils.

In-stock sizes · CSI live pricing, 24 September 2026 · illustrative 10 g melt
Every pack size, what it costs, and how many melts it makes
Pack Oils in stock Cheapest Median Melts at 8% Melts at 10% Melts at 13% Wax needed at 10%
15 g 51 ₹68.44 ₹106.20 18.75 15 11.54 135 g
50 g 81 ₹170.00 ₹342.20 62.5 50 38.46 450 g
100 g 79 ₹300.00 ₹629.00 125 100 76.92 900 g
500 g 64 ₹1,420.00 ₹2,781.50 625 500 384.62 4.5 kg
1 kg 73 ₹2,832.00 ₹5,999.00 1,250 1,000 769.23 9 kg

Read the melt columns against your sales, not your ambitions. If you expect to sell forty melts of a new scent in its first month, a 50 g bottle at 10% covers it with room for tests. A kilo of the same oil is a thousand melts — a year's stock for many small sellers, and money sitting on a shelf. The last column is the other half of the order: at 10%, every gram of oil needs nine grams of wax, so a 100 g bottle wants 900 g of wax and a 1 kg bottle wants 9 kg.

If your mould's cavities are not 10 g, scale everything. Weigh one filled cavity of the mould you will actually use — CSI does not publish cavity weights for any of its moulds — and divide. A 15 g cavity at 10% takes 1.5 g of oil, so a 100 g bottle makes 66.67 melts. How Much Fragrance Oil Should I Use in Wax Melts? has the full gram table for other melt sizes and loads.

Buy oil and wax in the same order
It is easy to put five oils in the cart and forget that they need nine times their weight in wax. Before you check out, multiply your total oil grams by nine (at 10%) and make sure the wax in the cart covers it, with 3–5% extra for pour loss and test melts — a working assumption, not a measured figure.

Where the per-gram price steps

Online, it is tempting to buy the smallest size of everything and call it thrift. For testing it is. For production it is the most expensive way to buy. Across the 55 oils that list both a 15 g and a 100 g, the 15 g carries a median 23.1% premium per gram. Between 50 g and 100 g the median difference is zero. Between 100 g and 1 kg, 52 of 91 oils are within 1%, and only 24 show a saving of 5% or more. Here is what the first step does to the oil inside one melt, for the five oils in our first cart:

Oil in one 10 g melt at 10% (1.0 g) · 15 g price vs 100 g price
The tester premium, one melt at a time
Oil 15 g ₹/g 100 g ₹/g Oil per melt from 15 g Oil per melt from 100 g 15 g premium
Peach Melon Berry ₹5.43/g ₹4.18/g ₹5.43 ₹4.18 29.9%
Cucumber Green Tea ₹6.21/g ₹3.53/g ₹6.21 ₹3.53 76.1%
Orchard Pear ₹7.00/g ₹3.80/g ₹7.00 ₹3.80 84.2%
Gardenia ₹7.00/g ₹4.33/g ₹7.00 ₹4.33 61.7%
Citrus Lemon ₹5.43/g ₹3.00/g ₹5.43 ₹3.00 80.9%

The premium varies widely. Peach Melon Berry's 15 g costs 29.9% more per gram than its 100 g; Cucumber Green Tea's costs 76.1% more. In one melt it is a rupee or two. Across a hundred melts poured from testers it is the price of another bottle. That is why the order of operations matters: 15 g for the question, 100 g for the answer.

Argued against our own interest, plainly. We would rather you bought a kilo. For most oils it will not save you money: on the listed prices, ten 100 g bottles cost within about 1% of one 1 kg. The kilo buys stock security for a scent that already sells. It is not a discount. There are exceptions — Honeydew Melon's 1 kg is 22.0% cheaper per gram than its 100 g, and Citrus Lemon's 5.6% — and Buy 1 Kg Fragrance Oil for Commercial Wax Melt Making lists them for melt makers. For everything else, buy the 100 g until reorders force the kilo.

Some oils have no 15 g at all. Many inspired-by oils start at 50 g — Forever Red (BBW Inspired) at ₹349.00, Pink Crush at ₹444.00, Love Spell at ₹249.00. For those, the 50 g is the tester: fifty illustrative melts at 10%. That is a bigger first commitment, so shortlist those oils on paper before you add them to the cart. The family shortlist can help narrow the field first.

Three carts, priced

An online order is cheapest when each cart answers one question. Cart one: which oils? Cart two: can I sell them? Cart three: can I keep up?

The first cart is a test. Five oils from the value end of the catalogue, each in 15 g, each different in character — fruit, fresh, orchard, white floral, citrus — so your testers are comparing moods, not near-duplicates. One kilo of Chunks covers the wax. One mould with forty cavities means you can pour a whole oil in two passes.

Cart 1 · test · 10 g melts at 10% on Chunks · CSI live pricing, 24–25 September 2026

Luxury Soy Wax Chunks 1 kg ₹599.00 — covers the 675 g needed
40 Cavity Square Mould 1 ₹472.00 — reusable
Cart total ₹1,537.10 75

That is ₹1,537.10 for seventy-five test melts and a mould you will keep. Wax used is 675 g of the kilo, leaving 325 g for second pours or a second load. Colour, containers and a scale are not in this cart — Where to Buy Wax, Fragrance Oils and Moulds for Starting a Wax Melt Business builds the full starter bill, including the ₹354.00 weighing scale and dyes from ₹236.00.

The second cart comes after your testers have spoken. Say Peach Melon Berry and Cucumber Green Tea win. Move both to 100 g (₹417.72 + ₹352.82 = ₹770.54), add another kilo of Chunks (₹599.00) and ten Wax Melts Containers (₹295.00). That is ₹1,664.54 for two hundred illustrative melts and ten containers to sell them in. The per-gram oil price has dropped from the 15 g rate to the 100 g rate, and nothing is sitting unsold in a kilo bottle.

The third cart is a kilo of one proven oil — only when you are reordering its 100 g more than once a month. A kilo of Cucumber Green Tea costs ₹3,327.60 (₹3.33/g, a 5.7% saving on its 100 g) and makes a thousand illustrative 10 g melts at 10%, needing 9 kg of wax: one 10 kg bag of Chunks at ₹5,999.00 covers it. A kilo of Peach Melon Berry costs ₹4,177.20 at ₹4.18/g, exactly its 100 g rate; buy it for convenience, not price.

Before you check out

Buying online means you cannot smell the oil or ask the person at the counter. These steps close most of that gap.

1
Open every product page, not just the collection gridSizes and stock are per variant. An oil can be in stock at 50 g and out at 100 g — Chocolate Fudge's 100 g and Vetiver's 1 kg were both out of stock on 24 September 2026. Never plan around a size you cannot add to the cart.
2
Count melts, then choose the sizeWork out how many melts of each scent you will pour in the next month or two. At 10% and 10 g, that is the grams you need. Round up to the nearest listed size.
3
Put the wax in the same cartNine grams of wax per gram of oil at 10%. Chunks come in 500 g (₹299.00), 1 kg (₹599.00), 5 kg (₹2,995.00) and 10 kg (₹5,999.00), flat at ₹599.00 a kilo up to 5 kg.
4
Check the load ceiling for your waxChunks are rated up to 13% and CSI 464 up to 10%. If you are buying a different wax for melts, ask CSI on WhatsApp for its stated maximum before you order oil for a high load.
5
Ask for paperwork at the time of orderingGST invoice, MSDS and IFRA documentation are available on request. If you sell melts to shops or at markets that ask for them, request them with the order, not months later.
6
Keep the order recordNote the oil, size and date on your batch sheet. When a melt sells, you will want to reorder exactly the same thing.

What this page will not tell you: delivery times, shipping charges, free-shipping thresholds or discount codes. They are not in the data we pulled, and we would rather say nothing than guess. The checkout shows the current shipping charge; anything else, ask on WhatsApp.

The cart that looks cheap and is not. Ten different oils in 15 g feels like a bargain range. It is 150 melts in ten scents, fifteen of each — not enough of any one scent to learn whether it sells, and every gram at the tester premium. Five oils, then two winners at 100 g, gives you more to sell of what works for less money.

Three oils to start a cart with

These three are in the value tier at every size, have an in-stock 15 g to test with, and cover three different moods. No throw data is published for any of them; they are chosen for price, availability and range, and each needs your own warmer test.

The CSI principle
Buy the melts you can sell, not the bottle that looks cheapest.
At 10% in a 10 g melt, the grams on the label are the melts in the bottle. Match the size to the next two months of sales, keep the tester premium for testing, and let reorders — not a per-gram hope — move you to the kilo.

When you are ready to scale past the listed packs, the route changes from cart to quote. Wholesale Fragrance Oils for Wax Melt Businesses covers what to send CSI for a wholesale quote, and Bulk Fragrance Oils for Wax Melt Manufacturers covers planning oil and wax for a production line. If the question is which oils have the most presence in a warmer, Strong Fragrance Oils for Wax Melts sets out the honest way to find out.

At ten per cent, a hundred grams is a hundred melts. Order the melts, and the bottle size chooses itself.

Why trust this guide

CANDLEMAKINGSUPPLIESINDIA supplies raw materials, not finished melts. On a buying page the convenient advice for us is "buy the kilo". Our own listed prices show that for most oils the kilo costs the same per gram as the 100 g, so this page says so and tells you to buy the size your sales justify.

Oil and wax prices are CSI live listings pulled on 24 September 2026; moulds, containers and dyes from the 24–25 September 2026 pull; the weighing scale is Blog 760's figure verified on 10 September 2026. Out-of-stock sizes are flagged, not offered. Melt counts and cart totals are arithmetic on those prices, shown to two decimals.

The 10 g melt and 10% load are illustrative working figures — CSI does not publish mould cavity weights or melt-container fill weights. The 13% (Chunks) and 10% (CSI 464) ceilings are the wax makers' stated formulation maximums, not regulatory limits. Non-price figures and assumptions: Load is a percentage of finished melt weight (oil = weight × load). The 10 g melt is illustrative; CSI does not publish mould cavity weights or melt-container fill weights. Melts per pack = pack grams ÷ oil grams per melt (0.8 g at 8%, 1.0 g at 10%, 1.3 g at 13%). Wax per melt at 10% = 9.0 g. The 3–5% pour-loss allowance is a working assumption. Price-break statistics: 15 g vs 100 g median premium 23.1% (55 oils); 50 g vs 100 g median 0.0%; 1 kg vs 100 g within ±1% for 52 of 91 oils, 5% or more saving for 24. Ceilings of 13% (Chunks) and 10% (CSI 464) are the wax makers' stated maximums, not regulatory limits. No throw measurements are published. Delivery times, shipping charges and discounts are not stated on this page. Prices change — product pages are authoritative.
