Commercial Fragrance · Wholesale for Melt Businesses
Wholesale sounds like a price. For most melt businesses it is really a supply arrangement: enough of the right oils, reliably, with paperwork. This page shows where CSI's listed packs stop, which oils genuinely get cheaper by the kilo, and what a month of melt production costs before any quote is involved.
₹42,923.20
a month of 3,000 illustrative 10 g melts (500 packs of six) at 10% on Chunks — six oils, 27 kg wax, 500 containers at listed prices · CSI live pricing, September 2026
Quick answers — read this first
Does CSI sell wholesale fragrance oil for wax melts? Listed packs go up to 1 kg per oil (73 oils in stock at 1 kg), Chunks up to 10 kg and melt containers up to 100. Beyond that — several kilos of one oil or a mixed production order — CSI quotes on WhatsApp. No discount figure is published, so ask with your quantities.

Is 1 kg fragrance oil cheaper per gram than 100 g? For most oils, no: 52 of 91 are within 1%. Twenty-four save 5% or more. For melts the useful ones include Honeydew Melon (22.0%), Mango Coconut (20.7%), Verbena (20.0%) and Roasted Coconut (19.2%).

How much fragrance oil does a melt business need a month? At 10% in illustrative 10 g melts, one gram per melt. 500 packs of six a month is 3,000 melts: 3 kg of oil and 27 kg of wax. The volume table covers 100 to 2,000 packs.

What should I send for a wholesale quote? Each oil and the kilos you need, how often you reorder, the wax and kilos, container counts, and whether you need GST invoicing and IFRA documents. The quote checklist sets it out.
The short answer
Listed ceiling: Oil 1 kg per pack · Chunks 10 kg (₹5,999.00) · containers 100 (₹2,950.00). Anything beyond is a WhatsApp quote with no published discount figure.
Real kilo savings: Honeydew Melon 22.0% · Mango Coconut 20.7% · Verbena 20.0% · Roasted Coconut 19.2% · Eucalyptus Spearmint 13.3% · Lemongrass and Lime 11.9% · British Rose 10.3%. Most other oils: flat.
Monthly volume: 500 packs of six 10 g melts at 10% = 3 kg oil + 27 kg wax + 500 containers ≈ ₹42,923.20 at listed prices.
Where a melt business leaves the cart and enters the quote Listed packs cover most small sellers. Past them, pricing is quoted on WhatsApp — no discount figure is published. LISTED PACKS — add to cart oil: up to 1 kg per oil per pack Chunks: up to 10 kg · containers: up to 100 mostly flat per gram above 100 g QUOTE ZONE — ask on WhatsApp several kg of one oil · mixed orders send oils, kg, frequency, wax, containers no discount figure is published 100 packs / month 0.60 kg oil · 5.40 kg wax 600 melts at 10% 500 packs / month 3 kg oil · 27 kg wax 3,000 melts at 10% 2,000 packs / month 12 kg oil · 108 kg wax 12,000 melts at 10% Illustrative packs of six 10 g melts on Luxury Soy Wax Chunks. Where your business sits on this line is a decision, not a rule.
The listed packs are the prices anyone can buy at today. The quote zone has no published rate — CSI prices it on WhatsApp for your oils and volumes. The three business sizes are illustrative, using packs of six 10 g melts at 10% on Luxury Soy Wax Chunks; weigh your own cavity and container to replace the 10 g.
Straight answer
How does wholesale fragrance oil work for a wax melt business?
At CSI, wholesale starts as the listed packs and becomes a quote. The listed packs cover a lot: oils up to 1 kg each (73 in stock at that size), Luxury Soy Wax Chunks up to 10 kg at ₹5,999.00, and Wax Melts Containers up to 100 at ₹2,950.00. A business selling 500 packs of six illustrative 10 g melts a month uses about 3 kg of oil and 27 kg of wax at a 10% load — ₹42,923.20 at listed prices including containers. The honest catch: buying bigger mostly does not lower the rate. 52 of 91 oils cost the same per gram at 1 kg as at 100 g. A handful are genuinely cheaper — Honeydew Melon 22.0%, Mango Coconut 20.7%, Verbena 20.0%, Roasted Coconut 19.2% — and building a range around them saves real money. Past the listed packs, message CSI on WhatsApp with your oils, kilos and reorder frequency. No discount figure is published, so do not plan around one; ask.
One line: wholesale is mostly about supply you can count on — price it at listed rates first, then ask what a quote adds.
If you are ready to buy a production kilo today, start with an oil where the kilo genuinely saves: Honeydew Melon 1 kg ₹3,398.40 (₹3.40/g against ₹4.35/g at 100 g). At 10% it scents a thousand illustrative 10 g melts. Pair it with a 10 kg bag of Luxury Soy Wax Chunks at ₹5,999.00.

What wholesale means at CSI

Most suppliers use "wholesale" to mean a discount. We would rather tell you what it actually means on our listings.

CSI's listed catalogue is already sized for businesses. Oils come in 15 g, 50 g, 100 g, 500 g and 1 kg. Chunks come in 500 g, 1 kg, 5 kg and 10 kg. Melt containers come in 5, 10, 50 and 100. The store states no minimum order, so a melt business can buy a kilo of one oil and a hundred containers at the listed price without asking anyone. That is the first layer of wholesale: production sizes at published prices.

The second layer is the quote. When you need several kilos of one oil, a mixed order across many oils, or a regular monthly supply, you message CSI on WhatsApp and get a price for that order. We do not publish a discount percentage for quotes, and this page will not invent one. What a quote reliably gives you is a single conversation about stock, a GST invoice for the whole order, and IFRA and MSDS documentation for the oils — the things a growing melt business actually needs when it starts selling to shops.

CSI listed packs · 24–25 September 2026
What the listed catalogue covers before you need a quote
Material Largest listed pack Price Per unit at that pack Does bigger save per unit?
Fragrance oil 1 kg per oil (73 oils in stock) ₹2,832.00 to ₹24,056.00 ₹2.83 to ₹24.06 per g Mostly no — 52 of 91 within 1% of 100 g
Luxury Soy Wax Chunks 10 kg ₹5,999.00 ₹599.90 per kg No — 1 kg and 5 kg are ₹599.00 per kg
CSI 464 10 kg ₹5,074.00 ₹507.40 per kg No — flat at 1, 5 and 10 kg
Natural Soy Pearl Wax 50 kg ₹21,240.00 ₹424.80 per kg Yes — 5.6% from 5 kg up (ceiling not published)
Wax Melts Containers 100 ₹2,950.00 ₹29.50 each No — ₹29.50 at every pack

Read the last column carefully. On the listed prices, buying bigger mostly buys convenience and stock security, not a lower rate. Chunks at 10 kg actually work out 90 paise a kilo dearer than at 1 kg or 5 kg. The containers are flat. Natural Soy Pearl Wax is the one wax with a break, but it has no published fragrance ceiling in our data — if you want it for melts, ask CSI for its stated maximum before planning around it.

Argued against our own interest, plainly. We would sell more if every melt maker believed a 10 kg bag or a kilo of oil came with a built-in discount. On our own listings, it mostly does not. Buy the big pack because it saves you reorders and protects you from a stockout in November — not because you expect a lower rate. Where a real saving exists, this page names the oil and the percentage.

How much a melt business uses

Before asking for a quote, know your numbers. The working unit is a pack of six illustrative 10 g melts — 60 g — at a 10% load on Chunks, so each melt holds 1.0 g of oil and 9.0 g of wax. CSI does not publish the fill weight of its melt containers or the cavity weights of its moulds, so weigh one filled container of your own and scale these figures.

Packs of six 10 g melts · 10% on Luxury Soy Wax Chunks · illustrative
Monthly oil, wax and containers by business size
Monthly sales Melts Oil Wax Oil per scent (six scents) Containers
100 packs of six 600 0.60 kg 5.40 kg 0.10 kg 100 containers · ₹2,950.00
500 packs of six 3,000 3 kg 27 kg 0.50 kg 500 containers · ₹14,750.00
2,000 packs of six 12,000 12 kg 108 kg 2 kg 2,000 containers · ₹59,000.00

Two things follow. First, most small melt businesses never leave the listed packs. At a hundred packs a month you use 0.6 kg of oil — six 100 g bottles, or one 500 g of your best seller plus testers. Second, the wax outweighs the oil nine to one. At two thousand packs a month you are moving 108 kg of wax, and wax supply, not oil, becomes the thing to secure. That is exactly the kind of order to discuss on WhatsApp rather than click through ten 10 kg bags.

If you run a higher load, the split changes. At 13% on Chunks — the stated ceiling, never to be exceeded — each 10 g melt takes 1.3 g of oil and 8.7 g of wax, so oil rises by 30% and wax falls slightly. On CSI 464 the ceiling is 10%, so these figures are the most that wax can take. How Much Fragrance Oil Should I Use in Wax Melts? has the per-melt grams at every load; Bulk Fragrance Oils for Wax Melt Manufacturers turns them into a production plan per bag of wax.

Plan oil per scent, not in total
A 3 kg monthly oil need across six scents is 500 g per scent — a 500 g pack where one exists, or five 100 g bottles where it does not. Your best seller will usually run faster than the others, so check its stock more often and consider its 1 kg if it is one of the oils with a real kilo saving.

Oils that really get cheaper by the kilo

Twenty-four oils show a 1 kg saving of 5% or more. For a melt business, those are the scents where scale pays for itself.

The table below takes the melt-friendly oils from that list that are in stock at both 100 g and 1 kg on the pull date, and costs the saving across a thousand illustrative 10 g melts at 10% — which is exactly one kilo of oil. Oils on the list with an out-of-stock 1 kg, such as Freshwater (BBW Inspired) and Sacred Sandal Ember, are left out. Citronella shows the largest break of all (62.3%), but a citronella melt is a niche outdoor product rather than a range staple.

Citrus Lemon ₹300.00 ₹2,832.00 ₹3.00/g ₹2.83/g 5.6% ₹168.00

The top four save roughly ₹950 to ₹1,180 per thousand melts — enough to pay for a mould or a pack of containers each time you reorder. Further down, the saving shrinks: Citrus Lemon saves ₹168.00 per thousand. And for the 52 oils priced flat, the saving is essentially zero. A wholesale strategy for melts is therefore simple: build part of your core range from oils that break, and buy the rest at 100 g until volume forces the kilo.

Month at listed prices ₹42,923.20 3,000 melts

That is ₹42,923.20 a month, or ₹14.31 per melt and ₹85.85 per pack of six, in materials. Containers are the largest single line at ₹14,750.00 — more than all six oils together (₹12,000.20). Labour, labels, freight and GST are extra. With these numbers in hand, you can ask for a quote knowing exactly what the listed route costs.

The saving hiding in the wax line. Because the 10 kg bag of Chunks costs ₹5,999.00 and two 5 kg bags cost ₹5,990.00, buying 27 kg as five 5 kg bags and two 1 kg bags is ₹18.00 cheaper than two 10 kg bags, a 5 kg and two 1 kg. It is a small sum, but it shows the rule for this catalogue: check the per-unit price at every pack size before assuming the biggest is cheapest. A quote may change the picture; the listing does not.
Festive volumes change the maths. Diwali falls on 8 November 2026 and the November–February wedding season follows; a melt business can easily double its monthly volume for gifting. Send us your festive scents, kilos and container counts now, and we will quote the whole order with GST invoicing and IFRA documentation.

Asking for a quote

A good quote request gets a useful answer in one reply. A vague one ("wholesale price for oils?") gets a question back. Send these, in this order:

1
Each oil, by its store name, with kilosUse the exact product names — "Honeydew Melon Fragrance Oil, 3 kg" — so there is no confusion between similar oils or second listings.
2
How often you will reorderMonthly, quarterly, or festive only. A regular order is a different conversation from a one-off.
3
Wax, with kilos and your loadSay which wax and the load you pour at. If it is not Chunks (13%) or CSI 464 (10%), ask for that wax's stated maximum in the same message.
4
Containers and mouldsContainer count (heart or square) and any moulds. Melt containers are ₹29.50 each at listed prices; include them so the whole order is quoted together.
5
Paperwork you needGST invoice, and MSDS and IFRA documentation for each oil if you sell to shops or export. Ask now, not when a buyer asks you.
6
Your deadlineIf the order is for Diwali or wedding season, say the date you need it by. Stock on popular sizes cannot be guaranteed late.

Compare whatever comes back against your listed-price month. If the quote improves on it, good. If it matches it but gives you a single invoice, confirmed stock and documents, that is often worth as much to a melt business as a lower rate. Bulk Fragrance Oils for Wax Melt Manufacturers covers production planning once supply is settled, and Buy 1 Kg Fragrance Oil for Commercial Wax Melt Making looks at the single-oil kilo decision in more detail.

The CSI principle
Price the month at listed rates before you ask for a better one.
A melt business that knows its listed-price month to the rupee can judge any quote in a minute. One that does not will accept whatever sounds like a discount. Know your oil, wax and container numbers first; the conversation gets much shorter.

Wholesale is not a discount you are owed. It is supply you can count on, priced honestly.

Why trust this guide

CANDLEMAKINGSUPPLIESINDIA supplies raw materials, not finished melts. On a wholesale page the tempting line is "order more, pay less". Our listed prices mostly do not work that way, so this page shows where they do (named oils, stated percentages) and where they do not (most oils, Chunks, containers).

Oil and wax prices are CSI live listings pulled on 24 September 2026; containers and moulds from the 24–25 September 2026 pull. Out-of-stock sizes are excluded from the saving table. Savings, monthly totals and per-melt costs are arithmetic on those prices, shown to two decimals; the percentage savings are those in CSI's price-break data.

Business sizes, the 10 g melt, the six-melt pack and the 10% load are illustrative — CSI does not publish container fill weights or cavity weights. The 13% (Chunks) and 10% (CSI 464) ceilings are the wax makers' stated formulation maximums, not regulatory limits. Quotes beyond listed packs are given on WhatsApp at +91 7397976926; no discount figure is published.
