Commercial Fragrance · Sourcing Tealights & Votives
A commercial small-candle line needs five things from a supplier: oil, wax, wick, container and paperwork. For votives, CSI lists all of them. For tealights, it does not: no tealight cups or tealight wicks were found in CSI's catalogue on 24 September 2026. Ask CSI on WhatsApp whether they can supply them — this page prices everything else.
₹60,035.20
one month's listed materials for 2,000 tealights and 340 votives — oil, wax, votive wicks and votive containers — excluding tealight cups and wicks, which are not listed · CSI live pricing, September 2026
Quick answers — read this first
Can I buy everything for tealights from CSI? No — not from the listed catalogue. On 24 September 2026 CSI listed fragrance oil and wax but no tealight cups and no tealight wicks. Ask CSI on WhatsApp whether they can supply them before you plan production.

Can I buy everything for votives from CSI? Yes. Oil, wax, wicks and four containers are listed — black votive glass, mini jars, the Velvet heart jar (50 g) and the golden tin (85 g). Buy Fragrance Oils for Votive Candle Making has full shopping lists.

What does a monthly commercial order cost? For 2,000 tealights and 340 votives: ₹60,035.20 in listed materials with Luxury Soy Wax Chunks, or ₹51,749.20 with Natural Soy Pearl Wax — before tealight cups and wicks. See the priced order.

What should I check before choosing a supplier? Coverage of every component, stock depth on your sizes, per-gram pricing (not bottle price), consistency between batches, and GST invoice, MSDS and IFRA certificates. See the checklist.
The short answer
Tealights: CSI lists the oil and wax. Tealight cups and tealight wicks were not in the catalogue on 24 September 2026 — ask on WhatsApp whether CSI can supply them.
Votives: Oil, wax, Eco/cotton/wooden wicks and four containers listed: votive glass ₹31.86 each by 10, mini jars ₹21.24 by 100, Velvet heart ₹45.00, golden tin ₹30.00 by 12.
Paperwork: GST invoice, MSDS and IFRA certificate on request over WhatsApp. No volume discount, MOQ, delivery time or free-shipping threshold is published.
What one supplier can cover for tealights and votives — CSI's listed catalogue, 24–25 September 2026 Tealights Votives Fragrance oil listed listed Wax listed listed Container not listed listed Wick not listed listed Dye / mica listed listed Tools listed listed GST · MSDS · IFRA listed listed Not listed → ask CSI on WhatsApp whether they can supply Votive wicks are listed, but wick sizing for any container is not published — burn-test before a run.
Dark cells are listed in CSI's catalogue on the pull date; open cells are not. The two gaps are both on the tealight side — cups and wicks — and they are the two components a tealight cannot be made without. That is why this page, and every tealight page in the cluster, sends you to WhatsApp to ask before you commit to oil and wax.
Straight answer
Where should you buy fragrance oils and materials for commercial tealight and votive production?
From a supplier that covers every component you need, or with a clear plan for the gaps. On CSI's listed catalogue on 24–25 September 2026, votives are fully covered: 93 fragrance oils (86 with stock), container waxes with published ceilings (Luxury Soy Wax Chunks up to 13%, CSI 464 up to 10%), Eco Candle Wicks and four votive containers, from ₹21.24 a jar. Tealights are not: we found no tealight cups and no tealight wicks in the catalogue, so ask CSI on WhatsApp whether they can supply them or line up another source before committing to oil and wax. For a month of 2,000 tealights and 340 votives, the listed materials come to ₹60,035.20 with Luxury Soy Wax Chunks, or ₹51,749.20 with Natural Soy Pearl Wax. Before choosing any supplier, check stock depth on your exact sizes, compare per-gram rather than bottle prices, and ask for the GST invoice, MSDS and IFRA certificate with the first order. No volume discount, minimum order or delivery time is published; ask.
One line: votives: one order covers it; tealights: settle cups and wicks first, then buy the oil and wax.
Tealight cups and tealight wicks were not in CSI's catalogue on 24 September 2026. If you want one supplier for the whole line, ask CSI on WhatsApp whether they can supply them, in your monthly quantity, before you order anything else. Oil, wax and votive materials are listed and priced below.
Ask about cups and wicks

What CSI covers, format by format

"One supplier" is only useful if it covers the part you cannot make without. For tealights, that part is the cup.

A commercial small-candle line needs the same five categories for both formats: fragrance oil, wax, wick, container, and the paperwork that lets you sell to retailers and gifting clients. The table maps what CSI's catalogue listed on the pull date against each, for tealights and votives separately. Where a component is not listed, the table says so, and the answer is to ask — not to assume.

CSI's listed catalogue, pulled 24–25 September 2026
Coverage map: tealights vs votives

The votive column is complete. The tealight column has two gaps, and they are structural: without a cup and a wick, the oil and wax cannot become a tealight. That is why we have said it on every tealight page in this cluster. If CSI can supply them, one order covers the whole line; if not, you will be working with two suppliers, and your production calendar has to allow for both. What to check before buying all your candle raw materials from one supplier covers the wider version of this question.

Buying the oil before the cup. A maker orders ten kilos of fragrance and a hundred kilos of wax for a festive tealight run, then discovers the cup supplier cannot deliver before Diwali. The oil keeps; the season does not. Confirm cups and wicks first — ask CSI whether they can supply them — and only then commit to oil and wax in production quantities.

The supplier checklist

Whether you buy from CSI or anyone else, these are the questions that separate a supplier you can build a production line on from one you can buy a bottle from. The third column is how CSI answers each on its listed catalogue, stated plainly, including where it falls short.

How CSI answers each check on its listed catalogue · 24–25 September 2026
Nine checks before you commit a production line
Check Why it matters for small candles CSI on the pull date
Covers every component? A tealight needs a cup and wick; a gap stops production Votives yes; tealight cups and wicks not listed
Stock depth on your sizes? A kilo you cannot reorder in October is not a supply 73 oils in stock at 1 kg; some sizes out (e.g. Vetiver 1 kg)
Per-gram price, not bottle price? Small candles use grams; compare like with like Listed per size; most oils flat above 100 g
Real volume breaks? Tells you which oils reward volume 24 oils save 5%+ at 1 kg; wax break only on soy pearl
Published wax ceilings? Sets your safe load range Chunks 13%, CSI 464 10%; others not in our data
Published container fills? Oil orders depend on fill Velvet heart 50 g, golden tin 85 g; others not published
GST invoice? Needed for input credit and B2B sales Yes
MSDS and IFRA certificates? Retail and corporate buyers ask On request over WhatsApp
Volume terms published? Planning needs numbers No — MOQ, discount and delivery time are quoted, not published

Two rows deserve a second look. Stock depth: a supplier's catalogue is a snapshot, and on the pull date several sizes were out of stock and one wax, Semi Refined Paraffin Wax, had a single unit left. Plan production around items with depth, and ask for restock dates on anything thin. Volume terms: CSI publishes no minimum order, discount percentage, free-shipping threshold or delivery time, and neither does this page. A supplier who will not put those in a quote is harder to plan around than one who will — so ask for them in writing on WhatsApp.

Ask for the certificate, not a number on a blog
Each fragrance oil's safe usage level for a candle is set out in its IFRA certificate. We do not quote individual oils' IFRA limits or flash points on this page, and you should not rely on anyone who does without the document. Collect the certificate for every oil in your range with your first production order.

A month's order, priced

Here is what a modest commercial month looks like on the listed catalogue — including the lines that cannot be priced.

The scenario: 2,000 tealights at an illustrative 12 g (1,000 in Blue Ocean, 1,000 in British Rose), 240 golden tins at their published 85 g fill in Saffron Cedarwood, and 100 black mini jars at an illustrative 50 g in British Rose. Load is 8% throughout, with a 5% allowance on oil and wax as a working assumption. Each line is the cheapest practical combination of listed packs.

8% load · +5% on oil and wax · CSI live pricing 24–25 September 2026 · labour, packaging, freight and GST excluded
One month: 2,000 tealights, 240 tins, 100 mini jars
Line Need Order Cost
Blue Ocean oil (1,000 tealights) 1,008 g 1 × 1 kg + 1 × 100 g ₹5,451.00
British Rose oil (1,000 tealights + 100 mini jars) 1,428 g 1 × 1 kg + 1 × 500 g ₹4,661.00
Saffron Cedarwood oil (240 tins) 1,713.6 g 3 × 500 g + 3 × 100 g ₹9,841.20
Luxury Soy Wax Chunks (all pieces) 47.72 kg 9 × 5 kg + 3 × 1 kg ₹28,752.00
Eco Candle Wicks Thin C1 (votives only) 340 wicks 3 × pack of 100 + 2 × pack of 20 ₹2,006.00
Golden Aluminium Tins 240 tins 20 × pack of 12 ₹7,200.00
Mini Glass Jars, Black 100 jars 1 × pack of 100 ₹2,124.00
Tealight cups 2,000 Not listed — ask CSI —
Tealight wicks 2,000 Not listed — ask CSI —
Listed materials total ₹60,035.20

Swap the Chunks for Natural Soy Pearl Wax (4 × 10 kg + 1 × 5 kg + 3 × 1 kg, ₹20,466.00) and the total falls to ₹51,749.20. That is the one wax in the range with a bulk break, but no fragrance ceiling for it is in our data — ask CSI on WhatsApp for the wax maker's stated maximum and test your 8% pour in your cups and tins before switching a production line. The Chunks are rated up to 13%, so an 8% load sits comfortably inside.

Two lines in the order need an explanation. Blue Ocean is bought as a kilo plus a 100 g, although eleven 100 g bottles would be ₹6.00 cheaper — its 1 kg is fractionally dearer per gram than its 100 g. Buy whichever you prefer to store; the difference is a few rupees. And Saffron Cedarwood is bought in 500 g packs, because its 500 g is ₹5.17 a gram against ₹6.87 for the 1 kg. The next section explains why that is worth checking before you reorder.

Argued against our own interest, plainly. The easiest order for us to take is "a kilo of everything". For this month it would cost you more: Saffron Cedarwood's 1 kg costs ₹1,699.20 more than two 500 g packs, and Blue Ocean's kilo is slightly dearer per gram than its 100 g. Price every line pack by pack, as the table does, and buy the combination that is actually cheapest.

Listing quirks worth checking

Every catalogue has prices that do not follow the pattern. On CSI's, some favour the buyer and some look like listing errors. A commercial buyer should know both kinds, because a reorder built on the wrong assumption costs real money. These are from the pull on 24–25 September 2026.

Price oddities on the listed catalogue · confirm on the product page or WhatsApp before ordering
Where the listed price does not follow the usual pattern
Item What the listing shows What to do
Saffron Cedarwood 500 g ₹2,584.20 (₹5.17/g); 1 kg ₹6,867.60 (₹6.87/g) Buy 500 g packs; ask whether the 500 g price will hold
Saffron Cedarwood 50 g ₹354.00 (₹7.08/g) dearer per gram than 15 g (₹6.92/g) Test in 15 g
Blue Ocean 1 kg ₹4.96/g vs 100 g ₹4.95/g Buy by storage preference; no saving either way
Mini Glass Jars, Golden 25-pack ₹1,180.00 (₹47.20/jar) vs 5-pack ₹129.80 (₹25.96/jar) Ask CSI to confirm before ordering the 25-pack
Luxury Soy Wax Chunks 10 kg ₹599.90/kg vs 5 kg ₹599.00/kg 5 kg bags are marginally cheaper
Candle Dye Liquid Brown 100 g listed at ₹236.00, same as 15 g Looks like a listing error — do not rely on it; ask
Semi Refined Paraffin Wax 1 unit in stock Treat as unavailable for production

None of these is a reason to avoid a supplier; every catalogue has them. They are reasons to price each reorder from the live product page rather than from last month's invoice, and to ask on WhatsApp when a price looks too good or too bad. For the oils whose bulk savings are real and consistent, wholesale fragrance oils for tealight manufacturers lists them with per-1,000-tealight figures.

The CSI principle
Cover every component, price every pack, collect every certificate.
A production supplier is judged on the part it cannot supply, the price it does not publish and the document you did not ask for. Settle all three before the first big order.

Setting up the supply

1
Settle tealight cups and wicksCSI did not list them on 24 September 2026. Ask whether CSI can supply them in your monthly quantity; if not, confirm another source and its lead time.
2
Choose votive containers from what is listedGolden tin (85 g), Velvet heart jar (50 g), black votive glass and mini jars. Weigh a filled jar for the last two. Buy Fragrance Oils for Votive Candle Making prices each.
3
Lock the oils with a test runTest in 15 g or 50 g, in your production cups and jars, at 8% and 10%. Strong Fragrance Oils for Small Tealight Candles and Best Fragrance Oils for Votive Candles cover tealights and votives.
4
Price the month pack by packUse the live product pages and the cheapest combination of listed packs, as in the table above. Check for real breaks and quirks.
5
Request a quote beyond the listed packsOils and kilos per month, wax, wicks, containers, delivery date, GST number. Ask for MSDS and IFRA certificates for every oil.
6
Keep a lot record from the first runNote oil bottle, wax bag and jar pack per batch, so any complaint traces to a batch rather than a month.

Why trust this guide

CANDLEMAKINGSUPPLIESINDIA supplies raw materials, not finished candles. A sourcing page from a supplier should say where the supplier falls short. Ours does: tealight cups and tealight wicks were not in our catalogue on the pull date, several sizes were out of stock, and some listed prices look like errors. The page names each one.

Oil and wax prices are CSI live pricing pulled on 24 September 2026; container, dye and wick listings were checked on 24–25 September 2026; the scale and thermometer were verified on 10 September 2026 for Blog 760. Order totals are the cheapest practical combination of listed packs, computed rather than estimated.

The monthly scenario, 12 g tealight fill, 50 g mini-jar fill, 8% load and 5% allowance are working assumptions. No MOQ, discount, delivery time or free-shipping threshold is published. For quotes, GST invoicing, MSDS and IFRA certificates, or to ask about tealight cups and wicks, message us on WhatsApp at +91 7397976926.
