What "wholesale" means on the listed catalogue

On CSI's store, the largest listed fragrance pack is 1 kg, and 73 oils are in stock at that size on the pull date. The largest listed wax bags are 10 kg for Luxury Soy Wax Chunks and CSI 464, and 50 kg for Natural Soy Pearl Wax. Anything above those packs — several kilos of one oil, a mixed production order, a standing monthly supply — is quoted on WhatsApp, and no discount figure is published. There is no stated minimum order, no published free-shipping threshold and no published "manufacturer price", so this page does not invent any.

The last two rows are the uncomfortable ones for a tealight maker, and there is no point hiding them. CSI did not list tealight cups or tealight wicks on 24 September 2026. The oils that get cheaper at 1 kg

Twenty-four oils in the collection have a 1 kg that is at least 5% cheaper per gram than the 100 g. The eight below are the ones whose profiles most naturally suit a tealight line — fresh, fruity, citrus and a value floral — priced per 1,000 illustrative 12 g tealights at 8%, which is 960 g of oil.

Citronella is an outlier in every sense. Its 15 g and 100 g are among the dearer per gram in the collection (₹9.44 and ₹7.67), and its 500 g and 1 kg are among the cheapest (₹2.95 and ₹2.89). The saving starts at 500 g, not 1 kg, so a maker who needs only half a kilo still gets it. Citronella is a scent many people associate with evenings outdoors, which makes it a natural fit for garden and balcony tealights. It is sold as a fragrance oil; we make no insect-repellent claim for it, and neither should your label.

Below Citronella the savings cluster around a fifth: Honeydew Melon 22.0%, Mango Coconut 20.7%, Verbena 20.0% and Roasted Coconut 19.2%. Eucalyptus Spearmint (13.3%), Lemongrass and Lime (11.9%) and British Rose (10.3%) save less but come from a lower base. On 1,000 tealights these savings run from ₹339.84 to ₹917.57 outside Citronella. That is real money on a product that sells for a few rupees, and it only appears if the scent suits your range. Choose the oil for the customer first, then check whether it is on this list.

The reverse also holds. If a break oil already fits your range — citrus for a summer or dining line, melon or mango for a fruity gift multipack — lean on it. The oils that do not

These are not poor oils. Lavender is first in the collection's best-selling sort and Sandalwood and Blue Ocean sit near the top. They are simply priced linearly above 100 g, and Blue Ocean's 1 kg is fractionally dearer per gram than its 100 g. For these oils, the reasons to buy the kilo are reorder frequency, stock security before a festive run and batch consistency across a production season — all good reasons, none of them a discount.

A 10,000-a-month line, priced both ways

Take a manufacturer pouring 10,000 illustrative 12 g tealights a month at 8%. That is 9.6 kg of oil a month before loss, or about 10.08 kg with a 5% allowance. Here is what the oil costs for one flat-priced oil and one with a break, bought as 100 g bottles or as kilos:

At this scale nobody would buy 96 bottles of 100 g, so the useful reading is the right-hand side: the kilo rate is the listed floor, and anything better has to come from a quote.
