"I have been using this melter for about 9 months now and it is simply the best. In terms of melting time, 10 kgs of wax melts in mere 20-30 minutes, the funnel is soo good, the wax is never stuck. I do not have to worry about temperatures at all, since the temperature knob does everything for me. Most of all, this is very very cost effective. Same thing is sold via ToAuto for ₹45,000 and in that too we need to get a step down converter worth ₹12,000 which is the worst thing., as the total investment then would be ₹57,000."

CSI Bulk Buying · Seasonal Manufacturing
Seasonal candle manufacturing is three peaks a year and three cash calls before them. Here is the batch maths per season, a peak calendar to September 2027, and a staged buying plan that keeps the cash in step with sales.
72 candles
from one 10 kg bag of CSI 464 and one 1 kg bottle of oil, 150 g at 8% · CSI live pricing, September 2026
Quick answers — read this first
How much fragrance oil does a seasonal candle run need? 12 g per 150 g candle at 8%, so 1.2 kg per 100 candles. A 500-candle season needs 6 kg of oil, 69 kg of wax, 500 jars and 500 wicks. The useful production unit is one 10 kg bag of wax plus one 1 kg bottle of oil: 72 candles, with 136 g of oil to spare.

When do the seasonal peaks fall? On the calendar: Indian summer roughly April to June, the southwest monsoon roughly June to September, winter roughly December to February, with Diwali on 8 November 2026 and Christmas on 25 December 2026 anchoring two of the year's main gifting weeks. A manufacturer pours four to eight weeks before each window and orders oils before that.

What does a season cost? In our worked example, 500 candles cost ₹106,056.00 in materials for summer, ₹113,662.00 for monsoon and ₹112,656.96 for winter, before labour, freight, packaging and GST. Oil is only about 23% of the year's materials; the jars cost more than the oil.

How should I stage the cash? Buy about 60% of a season's materials before it opens and hold 40% until the first weeks of sales. On CSI 464 wax, 150 g clear jars and C1 wicks, the unit price is the same in small and large packs, so staging costs you freight, not unit price.
The short answer
The unit: 10 kg of CSI 464 + 1 kg of oil = 72 candles of 150 g at 8%; the 10 kg melter batch is a natural pour session.
The six workhorses: Citrus Lemon and Mango Coconut (summer), Vetiver and Roasted Coffee (monsoon), Apple Cinnamon and Chocolate Fudge (winter).
The calendar: order winter materials now (Diwali 8 Nov 2026), summer by February, monsoon by May; pour four to eight weeks ahead of each selling window.
The cash: about ₹332,374.96 a year in materials at 500 candles a season; the largest single order falls from ₹113,662.00 to ₹68,197.20 with a 60/40 stagger.
When the money leaves: a 500-candle-a-season year Materials bought per month, thousands of rupees, worked example at CSI prices of 24 September 2026 Winter sells: Diwali, Christmas, cold months Summer sells Monsoon sells Sales 20k 40k 60k Oct 67.6k Nov 45.1k Dec Jan Feb 63.6k Mar Apr 42.4k May 68.2k Jun Jul 45.5k Aug Sep 67.6k 2026 2027 winter winter summer summer monsoon monsoon winter Dark bar = the pre-season order (about 60%). Light bar = the held-back order after early sales (about 40%). Materials only: oil, CSI 464 wax, 150 g clear jars, C1 wicks. Excludes labour, freight, packaging and GST.
A manufacturer's year in cash. Each season's materials are bought in two orders: roughly 60% before the selling window opens and 40% once early sales confirm the forecast. Bought in one go, the biggest season would need ₹113,662.00 at once; staged, the biggest single order is ₹68,197.20. Amounts are a worked example at 500 candles per season.
Straight answer
I manufacture candles in volume and want a seasonal range. How much oil, wax and packaging do I buy per season, when, and how do I keep it from swallowing my cash?
Plan in candles, then convert. Each 150 g candle at 8% takes 12 g of oil and 138 g of wax, so a 500-candle season needs 6 kg of oil, about 69 kg of wax (seven 10 kg bags of Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464), 500 jars and 500 wicks. Split the oil between two or three workhorse scents per season — our worked example uses Citrus Lemon and Mango Coconut for summer, Vetiver and Roasted Coffee for monsoon, and Apple Cinnamon and Chocolate Fudge for winter. At CSI prices on 24 September 2026 that is ₹106,056.00, ₹113,662.00 and ₹112,656.96 of materials per season, or ₹332,374.96 for the year, before labour, freight, packaging and GST. Order each season's materials in two lots: about 60% before the selling window and 40% after two to four weeks of sales. The wax, the 150 g clear jars and the C1 wicks cost the same per unit in small and large packs, so staging adds freight but no unit cost. Winter is the season to buy for now: Diwali is on 8 November 2026.
One line: count candles, convert to kilograms, buy 60% before the season and 40% on evidence, and remember the jars cost more than the oil.
The cheapest seasonal oil per gram in bulk. Citrus Lemon 1 kg is ₹2,832.00 (₹2.83 per gram), enough for 83 candles at 8%; its page states 6–10% for candles. At ₹33.98 of oil per candle it is the lowest-cost scent in this plan.
Buy Citrus Lemon 1 kg — ₹2,832.00

The production unit: 10 kg, 1 kg, 72 candles

Plan in candles. Buy in bags and bottles. Pour in batches. Keep the three in step.

The standard assumption throughout this series is a 150 g candle with fragrance load measured as a percentage of total weight: at 8%, 12 g of oil and 138 g of wax. Everything a manufacturer buys follows from that, and the numbers happen to fit CSI's pack sizes neatly. One 10 kg bag of CSI 464 holds wax for 72 candles (10,000 ÷ 138, rounded down). Those 72 candles need 864 g of oil — one 1 kg bottle, with 136 g left towards the next batch. So "one bag, one bottle" is a production unit you can count in: 72 candles, 72 jars, 72 wicks.

Quantities per 100 candles · 150 g at 8%
What 100 candles consume, at three loads
Load Oil per candle Wax per candle Oil per 100 Wax per 100 Candles per 1 kg oil
6% 9 g 141 g 0.9 kg 14.1 kg 111
8% 12 g 138 g 1.2 kg 13.8 kg 83
10% 15 g 135 g 1.5 kg 13.5 kg 66

The load you settle on changes your oil order by a quarter in either direction, so fix it by burn test before you size a season. Each oil in this plan states a range on its page (Mango Coconut excepted), and the lower of that and the wax's stated maximum governs; for CSI 464 the wax maximum is 10%. Maximum is not the target: many manufacturers find the lowest load that passes a doorway test is the one to produce at, and every percentage point on a 1,000-candle season is 1.5 kg of oil.

The pour session

For volume, the pour session is set by the melter. CSI lists an Electric Wax Melter (Imported) in 10 kg (₹21,240.00) and 20 kg (₹25,960.00) capacities; one buyer's published review says 10 kg of wax melts "in mere 20-30 minutes". A 10 kg melt is one production unit: 72 candles. Pour temperatures follow the wax page: CSI 464 is stated at 80–90°C for melt and pour. Keep temperature and load identical across batches of the same scent so the season's candles match.

What one candle costs, by oil

Worked examples, 150 g at 8%, oil at its best available bulk size, wax at the 10 kg price (₹70.02), a Clear Glass Jar with Golden Lid (150 gram) from the pack of 20 (₹94.40) and a C1 wick from the pack of 500 (₹5.90). Non-oil materials come to ₹170.32 per candle. All figures exclude labour, freight, packaging and GST.

Material cost per candle · worked example
Oil is the smallest of the three big lines
Scent (season) Oil size used Oil per candle Wax + jar + wick Materials per candle
Citrus Lemon (summer) 1 kg ₹33.98 ₹170.32 ₹204.31
Mango Coconut (summer) 1 kg ₹47.57 ₹170.32 ₹217.89
Vetiver (monsoon) 500 g (1 kg out of stock) ₹69.60 ₹170.32 ₹239.92
Roasted Coffee (monsoon) 1 kg ₹44.86 ₹170.32 ₹215.18
Apple Cinnamon (winter) any size from 50 g ₹56.92 ₹170.32 ₹227.24
Chocolate Fudge (winter) any size from 50 g ₹47.58 ₹170.32 ₹217.90

On a Citrus Lemon candle the jar alone is 46% of the material cost. That changes where a manufacturer should look for savings and where cash goes. Choosing the cheapest oil saves a few rupees a candle; the vessel is the larger lever. CSI's 200ml Salsa Glass Jar with 63mm Lug Cap (Golden Lid) works out at ₹29.50 each in the pack of 100, but its listing gives a volume, not a fill weight in grams, so weigh a test fill before you plan a 200 ml line on the 150 g maths above.

Season batch plans at 250, 500 and 1,000 candles

Here the candle counts become orders. The three season plans below are worked examples at 500 candles, split between two workhorse scents per season. Your split will differ; the method will not. Bottles are chosen to reach the oil weight with the least waste at the cheapest per-gram size in stock on 24 September 2026. The per-gram ladders behind those choices are laid out in Wholesale Seasonal Candle Fragrance Oils in India.

The same winter at 250 and 1,000 candles

Winter at three scales · worked example
Same 60/40 scent split, same materials
Scale Apple Cinnamon Chocolate Fudge Wax, jars, wicks Total Per candle
250 candles 1.8 kg: ₹8,538.48 1.2 kg: ₹4,757.76 35 kg, 250, 250: ₹42,834.00 ₹56,130.24 ₹224.52
500 candles 3.6 kg: ₹17,076.96 2.5 kg: ₹9,912.00 70 kg, 500, 500: ₹85,668.00 ₹112,656.96 ₹225.31

The per-candle cost barely moves between 250 and 1,000 candles. That is not an accident of the example: Apple Cinnamon and Chocolate Fudge are flat per gram from 50 g, CSI 464 is flat per gram from 1 kg to 10 kg (₹0.51 and ₹0.51), the 150 g clear jar costs ₹94.40 each in the pack of 10 and ₹94.40 in the pack of 20, and C1 wicks cost ₹5.90 each whether you buy 10 or 1,000 (₹5.90). Scale buys you fewer orders and fewer shipments, not cheaper units, on these lines. Freight is where scale helps, and that is quoted per order.

Argued against our own interest: we would happily sell you 7.2 kg of Apple Cinnamon in September. On a flat-ladder oil, buying the whole winter in one go saves you nothing per gram and puts the full cost on your account before a single candle sells. Buy the first 60%; buy the rest when Diwali tells you how many you need.

Six workhorse oils for seasonal production

Production oils are chosen for different reasons from launch oils: stated load, bulk stock and cost per candle.

These are the six oils in the worked plans. We chose them as production workhorses — broad appeal within their season, a bulk size in stock, and a low or predictable cost per candle — not as the most distinctive scents CSI sells. For the best-of view per season, see Best Fragrance Oils for Summer Candles in India, Best Fragrance Oils for Monsoon Candles in India and Best Fragrance Oils for Winter Candles in India. We have no throw measurements and rank nothing on performance.

1
summer · citrus · the cost leader
Citrus Lemon Fragrance Oil
The lowest per-gram seasonal oil at 1 kg and a straightforward summer scent. Stated notes: "zesty lemon and lime top notes, bright grapefruit and orange heart, and a tangy mandarin finish"; the page states "candles (6-10%)". A verified buyer's review reads "Quality is good with good fragrance". For volume summer production it is the obvious base scent. Limitation: citrus is a top-heavy family; decide your load by a two-hour doorway test, not by the cold sniff, and expect it to read lighter than the gourmands.
Size Price Per gram 150 g candles at 8%
15 g ₹81.42 ₹5.43 1
50 g ₹170.00 ₹3.40 4
100 g ₹300.00 ₹3.00 8
500 g ₹1,420.00 ₹2.84 41
1 kg ₹2,832.00 ₹2.83 83
₹33.98 of oil per 8% candle at 1 kg; 83 candles per bottle. Buy Citrus Lemon
2
summer · tropical fruit · the sweet partner
Mango Coconut Fragrance Oil
The summer volume partner to Citrus Lemon: "the sweet, juicy aroma of ripe mango with creamy, luxurious coconut". The page describes it as "IFRA-certified" but does not state a candle load, so work inside the wax's own ceiling — 10% for CSI 464 — and settle your load by test at 6%, 8% and 10% before a production run. Its ladder drops at 500 g, from ₹5.00 to ₹3.96 per gram, and stays there at 1 kg. Limitation: without a stated load, a manufacturer carries more of the testing burden; record the load you validate and keep it fixed.
Size Price Per gram 150 g candles at 8%
15 g ₹93.22 ₹6.21 1
50 g ₹250.00 ₹5.00 4
100 g ₹500.00 ₹5.00 8
500 g ₹1,982.00 ₹3.96 41
1 kg ₹3,964.00 ₹3.96 83
₹47.57 of oil per 8% candle at 500 g or 1 kg. Buy Mango Coconut
3
monsoon · earthy wood · stock-limited
Vetiver Fragrance Oil
An earthy monsoon base scent: "smoky, woody, and grounding with subtle green and sweet undertones", described on the page as "IFRA-certified", with a stated load of "Up to 10% for soy wax candles ... Up to 6% for paraffin wax candles". It suits a rain-evening candle and blends into a darker range. Limitation for manufacturers: the 1 kg is out of stock on 24 September 2026, so a 2.5 kg monsoon requirement means five 500 g packs at ₹5.80 per gram. Ask on WhatsApp about the 1 kg before you plan next year's monsoon around it.
Size Price Per gram 150 g candles at 8%
15 g ₹187.62 ₹12.51 1
50 g ₹354.00 ₹7.08 4
100 g ₹600.00 ₹6.00 8

1 kg ₹5,664.00 — Out of stock on 24 September 2026 ₹5.66 Out of stock
₹69.60 of oil per 8% candle at the 500 g price. Buy Vetiver
4
monsoon and winter · coffee · the two-season runner
Roasted Coffee Fragrance
A gourmand that, in our judgement, suits the rains and again winter, which makes it useful to a manufacturer who wants fewer changeovers. Stated notes: "fresh coffee bean top notes, dark chocolate and espresso heart, and a warm vanilla and caramel base"; the page states "candles (6-10%)". Buyers' reviews call it "really amazing" and "quite strong". Its ladder steps down at every size to ₹3.74 at 1 kg. Limitation: it sits close to Chocolate Fudge in character; if both are in production at once, make sure your labels and customers can tell them apart.
Size Price Per gram 150 g candles at 8%
15 g ₹93.22 ₹6.21 1
50 g ₹230.00 ₹4.60 4
100 g ₹390.00 ₹3.90 8
500 g ₹1,890.00 ₹3.78 41
1 kg ₹3,738.00 ₹3.74 83
₹44.86 of oil per 8% candle at 1 kg. Buy Roasted Coffee
5
winter · fruit-spice · flat ladder
Apple Cinnamon Fragrance Oil
The winter volume scent. Stated notes: "crisp juicy apple and spicy cinnamon opening into baked goods and nutmeg, settling into vanilla and warm amber"; the page states "6-10% for soy wax candles, cure 48-72 hours. 6-8% for paraffin wax". A verified buyer's review reads simply "Really love this fragrance oil." For a manufacturer its most useful property is its flat ladder: ₹4.74 per gram at every size from 50 g, so you can stage purchases through the winter without losing any unit price. Limitation: flat means no bulk reward either.
Size Price Per gram 150 g candles at 8%
15 g ₹93.22 ₹6.21 1
50 g ₹237.18 ₹4.74 4
100 g ₹474.36 ₹4.74 8
500 g ₹2,371.80 ₹4.74 41
1 kg ₹4,743.60 ₹4.74 83
₹56.92 of oil per 8% candle at any size from 50 g. Buy Apple Cinnamon
6
winter · chocolate gourmand · flat ladder
Chocolate Fudge Fragrance Oil
The winter dessert candle and one of the lowest-cost gourmands per candle. Stated notes: "rich cocoa and sweet caramel top notes, creamy chocolate and toasted nuts middle notes, and vanilla bean and warm brown sugar base"; the page describes it as "IFRA-certified" and states "Recommended fragrance load 6-10% for candles". It is priced flat at ₹3.96 per gram from 50 g. Limitation: the 100 g is out of stock on 24 September 2026, which matters for small top-ups: use 50 g bottles at the same per-gram price.
Size Price Per gram 150 g candles at 8%
15 g ₹93.22 ₹6.21 1
50 g ₹198.24 ₹3.96 4

The peak calendar: sell, pour, order

A manufacturer works further ahead than a retail maker, because retailers and gifting buyers stock before their own customers shop. The dates in the first column are calendar facts; the pour and order windows are our planning suggestion for a business supplying shops, and they depend on your lead times and CSI's dispatch time to your city, which you should confirm on WhatsApp.

Peak calendar, October 2026 to September 2027 · calendar facts, not forecasts
Work back from the selling window to the order date
Selling window Fixed dates inside it Pour Order oils and materials
Diwali gifting, October to early November 2026 Diwali 8 November 2026 Now to mid-October Now: materials should already be in hand for shop supply
Christmas, New Year and winter, December 2026 to February 2027 Christmas 25 December 2026 November The 60% lot is part of the October order; the 40% lot by mid-November, after Diwali sell-through
Summer, roughly April to June 2027 — March February (60%); April (40%)
Monsoon, roughly June to September 2027 — Mid-May to early June May (60%); July (40%)
Next Diwali gifting, autumn 2027 Check the 2027 date September From late August

Two dates sit inside the winter that some manufacturers treat as separate peaks: New Year's Eve and Valentine's Day (14 February 2027). A romantic line is a different collection with its own oils; it is covered in the romantic cluster of this series. For a seasonal manufacturer, the practical point is that the winter window runs well into February and your 40% lot can be sized with that in mind.

A season's production run, step by step

1
Forecast in candles, by scentStart from last year's sales or your buyers' orders, not from the oil catalogue. Write down candles per scent for the season, then multiply by 12 g (or your validated load) to get oil, and by 138 g to get wax.
2
Validate every new scent before the forecast goes to kilogramsA 50 g test at 6%, 8% and 10% in your production jar and wick. Mango Coconut states no load; Apple Cinnamon states a 48–72 hour cure; the others state neither cure nor anything beyond their load range. As a judgement, compare at day 3 and day 7.
3
Order about 60% before the windowConvert to bottles and packs at each oil's cheapest in-stock size. Ask on WhatsApp for one quote covering oil, wax, jars and wicks, with GST invoice and a dispatch date.
4
Pour in production unitsOne 10 kg melt, one scent, 72 candles. Label each batch with scent, load, date and oil lot so any complaint can be traced to a batch.
5
Burn one candle from every batchBefore a batch ships, burn one from it for two to three hours. It is the cheapest insurance a manufacturer has.
6
Read the first two to four weeks of salesCompare actual sales per scent against forecast. Scents running ahead get the 40% lot; scents running behind get none.
7
Order the 40% lot, or don'tThis is the decision that protects your cash. Detailed reorder points and inventory rules across a three-season year are in I Want to Launch Different Candle Collections for Summer, Monsoon and Winter — How Should I Plan My Fragrance Oil Inventory?.

Cash flow: when the money leaves and when it returns

Candle businesses rarely run out of scent. They run out of cash in the eight weeks before a peak.

A seasonal manufacturer pays for materials six to twelve weeks before the matching sales arrive, and three times a year. The chart at the top of this page shows our worked example month by month. The table puts figures on it.

September 2027 Next winter, first lot (at today's prices) ₹67,594.18 Monsoon tail

Across the three seasons the materials come to ₹332,374.96: ₹75,370.96 of oil and ₹257,004.00 of wax, jars and wicks. The stagger does not change that total. What it changes is how much you commit before you know. Bought in one go, the largest season would need ₹113,662.00 at once; staged, the largest single order is ₹68,197.20, and ₹45,062.78 of winter stays uncommitted until Diwali has told you what is selling.

Why staging costs you almost nothing here

Normally, smaller orders mean higher unit prices. On the lines that dominate this plan, they do not. CSI 464 costs ₹0.51 per gram in a 1 kg bag and ₹0.51 in a 10 kg bag. The 150 g clear jar is ₹94.40 in a pack of 10 and ₹94.40 in a pack of 20. C1 wicks are ₹5.90 each in every pack size. Apple Cinnamon and Chocolate Fudge are flat per gram from 50 g. The only oils in this plan where a second, smaller order costs more per gram are those with staircase or cliff ladders — Citrus Lemon, Mango Coconut, Roasted Coffee, Vetiver — and only if the second order drops below the size where their price floors. Keep the 40% lot at 500 g or 1 kg and the unit cost is essentially unchanged. The real cost of staging is a second freight charge, which you should ask us to quote.

Where the cash actually goes

Oil is about 23% of the year's materials in this example. Jars are the largest single line: ₹47,200.00 per 500-candle season. If cash is tight before a peak, stage the jars as carefully as the oil; they cost the same per unit in either pack size, so there is no penalty for buying them in two lots.

A simple cash rule
Never let the pre-season order exceed what the previous season's sales have already paid for. If summer brought in less than the monsoon first lot costs, cut the monsoon forecast before you order, not after.
Mistake: ordering next season's oils with this season's unsold stock still on the shelf. Fix: carry-over is real — Roasted Coffee can work in both monsoon and winter, and some oils work across two seasons — so count what is left before you order. Which oils carry over between seasons, and which should be a year-round core, is the subject of Which Fragrance Oils Should a Candle Brand Stock for Summer, Monsoon and Winter?.

Stock risks to plan around

A manufacturer's plan is only as good as the supply behind it. These are the stock facts on 24 September 2026 that affect seasonal production, with what we would do about each.

Supply facts · 24 September 2026
What is out of stock, and the workaround
Item Fact What to do
Vetiver Fragrance Oil 1 kg Out of stock Plan in 500 g packs (₹2,900.00 each); ask on WhatsApp about the 1 kg before next monsoon.
Chocolate Fudge Fragrance Oil 100 g Out of stock Use 50 g for top-ups; same ₹3.96 per gram.
Spiced Rum Out of stock at every size Do not plan a winter line around it.
Mogra and Rajnigandha Out of stock Choose another floral for monsoon or winter production.
Sage and Cedarwood Fragrance Oil and Saffron Cedarwood 1 kg In stock, but dearer per gram (₹6.87) than the 500 g (₹5.17) Buy two 500 g packs (₹5,168.40 against ₹6,867.60), or ask on WhatsApp first.
Candle Wick Stickers 100-sticker sheet Out of stock The 40-sticker sheet (₹100.00) is in stock.

Beyond stock, keep a retained sample: a small sealed jar of oil from each lot you receive, labelled with the date. If a later batch smells different, you can compare like with like and raise it with us with evidence. This is our suggestion as good practice; it is not a CSI requirement. MSDS and IFRA documentation are available on request on WhatsApp, and retailers or corporate buyers often ask manufacturers for them, so request them with your first bulk order. Where a product page describes an oil as "IFRA-certified", we report the page's wording and send the document; we do not assert certification ourselves.

Argued against our own interest: do not build a whole season on one oil from one supplier, including us. If a single scent is more than about half of a season's forecast and its bulk size goes out of stock, the season goes with it. Two or three workhorse scents per season, as in the plans above, spreads that risk.
Winter production materials are due now: Diwali is 8 November 2026, Christmas 25 December 2026. The first winter lot in our example is ₹67,594.18. Send us your scent split on WhatsApp for a quote on oils in 1 kg, CSI 464 in 10 kg and jars in packs of 20, with GST invoice and dispatch date.

The CSI principle
Commit 60% on forecast, 40% on evidence.
Where unit prices are flat across pack sizes — as they are for CSI 464, the 150 g clear jar, C1 wicks and several winter oils — staging a season costs you a freight charge, while buying it all at once costs you your options.

Why trust this guide

CandleMakingSuppliesIndia sells the oils, wax, jars, wicks and melters named here, and does not sell finished candles. This page tells manufacturers to buy less up front than they could, to split seasons across scents so no single product of ours becomes a single point of failure, and to stage orders that we would find easier to ship in one go.

Every price, pack size and per-gram figure was taken from CSI's live store and verified on 24 September 2026. Out-of-stock products and sizes are flagged as out of stock on that date and never presented as buyable. Candle loads, notes and IFRA wording are quoted from each product page; where a page states no candle load, we say so.

The season plans, scent splits, 60/40 stagger and calendar windows are our judgement and worked examples, not forecasts of your sales. For bulk pricing, GST invoicing, and MSDS and IFRA documentation on request, message us on WhatsApp at +91 7397976926.

Frequently asked questions

How much fragrance oil for 500 candles?
For 150 g candles at 8% load, 12 g each: 6 kg for 500 candles. At 6% it is 4.5 kg; at 10%, 7.5 kg. You also need about 69 kg of wax at 8%.
How many candles does 10 kg of soy wax make?
72 candles of 150 g at 8% load (138 g of wax each), using about 864 g of oil. That makes one 10 kg bag of Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464 plus one 1 kg bottle of oil a convenient production unit.
When should candle manufacturers buy stock for Diwali and Christmas?
For supplying shops, Diwali (8 November 2026) materials should be in hand by early October, and Christmas (25 December 2026) materials ordered by mid-November. Confirm CSI's dispatch time to your city on WhatsApp.
What does it cost to make a soy candle in bulk in India?
Worked example at CSI prices on 24 September 2026: a 150 g Citrus Lemon candle at 8% in CSI 464, a 150 g clear glass jar and a C1 wick costs ₹204.31 in materials, excluding labour, freight, packaging and GST. The jar is the largest part.
Is it cheaper to buy a whole season's fragrance oil at once?
Only for oils whose price per gram falls at the size you would otherwise buy. Apple Cinnamon and Chocolate Fudge cost the same per gram from 50 g to 1 kg, and CSI 464 wax is flat per gram from 1 kg to 10 kg, so staging those costs freight but no unit price.
Which fragrance oils are cheapest for bulk candle production?
Among CSI's seasonal oils on 24 September 2026, Citrus Lemon at 1 kg (₹2.83 per gram) is the lowest, followed closely by Citronella at 1 kg (₹2.89). Roasted Coffee (₹3.74), Mango Coconut (₹3.96) and Chocolate Fudge (₹3.96) are also low-cost bulk scents.

The CSI 464 ceiling (10%) and pour temperature (80–90°C) are as stated on its page; ceilings are formulation limits, not regulatory limits. Season plans, scent splits, the 60/40 stagger and the cash-flow chart are worked examples; the September 2027 figure assumes today's prices. All costs exclude labour, freight, packaging and GST.
