I Want to Buy a Complete Fragrance Oil Collection for My Candle Business Instead of Ordering Individual Oils — What Should It Include?
शेयर करना
What should a complete collection include? Twelve slots defined by job: four anchors you pour most, four range slots that complete the families (floral, woody, gourmand), three seasonal slots, and one signature. On CSI's range, one set that fills them is priced below at four scales.
What does it cost? Twelve oils at 50 g: ₹3,209.78. A launch order (500 g of the four anchors and 100 g of the rest): ₹13,564.68. A production order (1 kg anchors, 500 g the rest): ₹38,643.20.
Is buying everything at once better than ordering oils individually? For a launch or an annual reset, yes: one test cycle, one comparison, one GST invoice. For topping up, no: reorder each slot on its own trigger.

What CSI actually lists, and why that matters
On 24 September 2026 CSI's catalogue lists 102 fragrance oils as individual products (93 in the fragrance oils collection, the rest in the fine perfume range), most in five sizes (15 g, 50 g, 100 g, 500 g, 1 kg) and some, mainly the perfume-grade listings, in three. The fragrance oils collection, the brand-inspired collection, the fine perfume collection and the Diwali collection are ways to browse, not bundles: they carry no set price, and some (the Diwali collection, for one) mix oils with other products. The DIY kits collection holds beginner making kits, which are built for learning the craft rather than for stocking a business range. If you want a fixed bundle price, ask on WhatsApp; we will not promise one here.
So "complete" has to be defined by you. The definition this page uses: every job your shelf needs is filled by one tested oil, and no two oils do the same job. For most Indian candle businesses selling across the year, that is twelve jobs. Fewer is fine for a focused brand (a ten-scent luxury split is in I'm Building a 10-Fragrance Luxury Candle Collection — How Many Floral, Woody, Fresh and Gourmand Fragrances Should I Test?); more is usually a sign that two oils share a job.
The twelve slots, filled with CSI oils
Four kinds of slot. Anchor slots are the scents you expect to pour most; they get the biggest packs. Range slots make each family feel complete, so a customer who likes florals has more than one. Seasonal slots earn their place for part of the year. The signature slot is the scent people remember you for. Oils were chosen on stated notes, a stated candle load, stock at every size and price per gram; CSI has no throw measurements or sales rankings, so anchor status is an example, not a claim.
| # | Job | Family | Oil | Page's candle load wording | Oil per candle, 50 g / 500 g |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Anchor | Fresh · aquatic | Blue Ocean | candles (up to 10%) | ₹59.28 / ₹59.47 |
| 2 | Anchor | Herbal · lavender | Lavender | Recommended fragrance load 6-10% for candles | ₹64.80 / ₹62.88 |
| 3 | Anchor | Woody · clean | Sandalwood | Recommended load up to 10% for soy, up to 6% for paraffin | ₹65.14 / ₹60.32 |
| 4 | Anchor | Gourmand · coffee | Roasted Coffee | candles (6-10%) | ₹55.20 / ₹45.36 |
| 5 | Range | Floral · white | Jasmine | Recommended load up to 10% soy, up to 6% paraffin | ₹55.20 / ₹47.06 |
| 6 | Range | Floral · rose | British Rose | candles (up to 10% soy, up to 6% paraffin) | ₹50.98 / ₹38.23 |
| 7 | Range | Woody · oud | Woody Oud | candles (6-10%) | ₹65.14 / ₹54.37 |
| 8 | Range | Gourmand · vanilla | Dark Vanilla | candles (6-10%) | ₹98.40 / ₹92.16 |
| 9 | Seasonal | Citrus · summer | Citrus Lemon | candles (6-10%) | ₹40.80 / ₹34.08 |
| 10 | Seasonal | Spice · festive | Apple Cinnamon | 6-10% for soy wax candles, cure 48-72 hours. 6-8% for paraffin wax | ₹56.92 / ₹56.92 |
| 11 | Seasonal | Fruity · gifting | Fresh Strawberries | Recommended fragrance load 6-9% for candles | ₹50.98 / ₹42.48 |
| 12 | Signature | Earthy · Indian | Gilli Mitti | The recommended fragrance load is 6-10% for candles. | ₹107.52 / ₹107.52 |
Why these twelve, slot by slot
Anchors. Blue Ocean (sea salt, ozone, jasmine, lily of the valley, driftwood, musk) is the fresh scent that works in any month; Lavender (fresh lavender top, herbal green middle, soft musk base) is the herbal scent that crosses spa, wellness and gifting; Sandalwood is the woody anchor, a single-note creamy sandalwood; Roasted Coffee (coffee bean, dark chocolate, espresso, vanilla, caramel) is the gourmand that is not simply sweet and, at ₹3.74 per gram at 1 kg, the cheapest anchor to pour.
Range. Jasmine and British Rose give the floral family two distinct voices (white flower and fresh rose). Woody Oud adds a rich, spiced wood beside the clean Sandalwood. Dark Vanilla (vanilla, spice, caramel, cream, dark amber, musk) completes the gourmand family and, at ₹8.20 per gram at 50 g, is the dearest oil in the set after the signature Gilli Mitti (₹8.96), which is why it is a range slot rather than an anchor.
Seasonal and signature. Citrus Lemon carries summer at ₹2.83 per gram at 1 kg; Apple Cinnamon carries Diwali and winter; Fresh Strawberries carries gifting and Valentine's Day. Gilli Mitti ("fresh rain, soft soil, natural patchouli, damp woods, and light musk") is the signature: in our judgement, a scent with an Indian story that generic collections rarely have. It is also priced flat at ₹8.96 per gram, so it stays at small sizes.
What the twelve do not include, because CSI does not list it on 24 September 2026: a fresh linen, clean cotton, laundry or white tea oil; an in-stock Mogra or Rajnigandha; a candle-grade leather. The full range map, gaps included, across hotel, spa, floral, woody, fresh, gourmand and Indian collections is in I Want One Supplier for My Hotel, Spa, Floral, Woody, Fresh, Gourmand and Indian-Inspired Candle Collections — What Should I Check Before Placing a Bulk Order?.
How much of each slot: four order scales
| Scale | What you buy | Oil | Cost | Avg per gram | Candles at 8% | Use it for |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Sniff set | 15 g × 12 | 180 g | ₹1,233.22 | ₹6.85 | 12 | Ruling oils out by smell. Not a load test. |
| Starter | 50 g × 12 | 600 g | ₹3,209.78 | ₹5.35 | 48 | Three loads each plus a retest: the proper first order. |
| Trading | 100 g × 12 | 1,200 g | ₹5,990.96 | ₹4.99 | 96 | Markets and pop-ups where demand per scent is unknown. |
| Launch | 500 g × 4 anchors, 100 g × 8 | 2,800 g | ₹13,564.68 | ₹4.84 | 228 | First production after testing. |
| Production | 1 kg × 4 anchors, 500 g × 8 | 8,000 g | ₹38,643.20 | ₹4.83 | 660 | Proven demand across the range. |
The sniff set costs 28% more per gram than the starter; it is a filter, not a saving. Production brings the average per gram 10% below the starter's, but the saving is concentrated in a few oils: Citrus Lemon, British Rose, Roasted Coffee, Jasmine and Fresh Strawberries fall steeply from 50 g, while Apple Cinnamon (₹4.74) and Gilli Mitti (₹8.96) do not fall at all, and Sandalwood and Woody Oud stop falling at 100 g.
Two pack decisions inside the production order
Anchors as 1 kg or as two 500 g? Two 500 g packs of each anchor cost ₹38,704.20 for the whole production order, ₹61.00 more than 1 kg packs, almost all of it from Roasted Coffee and Lavender, whose 1 kg is slightly cheaper per gram. Sandalwood's 1 kg (₹5,026.80) costs exactly the same as two 500 g (₹5,026.80), so choose on convenience.
Blue Ocean runs the other way. Its per gram is ₹4.94 at 50 g, ₹4.95 at 100 g and ₹4.96 at 500 g and 1 kg. Ten 100 g packs (₹4,950.00) cost ₹6.00 less than one 1 kg. The difference is trivial; the principle is not: never assume a bigger pack is cheaper.
One complete order versus individual orders
Buying all twelve at once is not automatically better. It wins at specific moments and loses at others.
| Moment | Better route | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Launching a brand or a new range | Complete order (starter, then launch) | All twelve tested in one cycle, cured together, compared fairly; one GST invoice. |
| Annual reset (e.g. before the festive season) | Complete order | Re-test the slot line-up against last year's sales; drop and replace in one go. |
| Replenishing a selling oil | Individual order | Each slot has its own pace; a bundle forces the slow ones to be bought with the fast. |
| Adding a seasonal scent | Individual order at 50 g | Test it against the oil it would replace, not against the whole set. |
| A corporate or wholesale order for one scent | Individual order, 500 g or 1 kg | Buy that oil at its per-gram floor; leave the rest alone. |
| Cash is tight | Starter complete order, then individual | Test everything cheaply, then put money only where orders are. |
One practical advantage of ordering the collection together: a single consolidated WhatsApp message gets you one stock confirmation, one quote and one GST invoice for the whole range. Whether it also reduces delivery cost depends on your location and the order's weight; ask when you send the list rather than assuming.
Six oils that hold the collection together
Six of the twelve, chosen because each is the hinge of a family: if one of these fails your test, the slot around it needs rethinking. Candle counts assume 150 g at 8%.

How to assemble and place the order
After the first order: reorder triggers by slot
Once the collection is live, the word "collection" stops being useful for buying. Each slot moves at its own pace, and the triggers differ by job. These are our suggested rules; replace them with your own numbers after one season.
| Slot | Trigger | Reorder size |
|---|---|---|
| Anchor | Stock falls below three weeks of pours | The size where its per-gram stops falling: 1 kg for Roasted Coffee and Lavender; 500 g or 1 kg (same price) for Sandalwood; 100 g or 500 g multiples for Blue Ocean. |
| Range | Stock falls below three weeks of pours | 500 g once it has sold a 100 g within a month; otherwise 100 g. |
| Seasonal | Stock below three weeks and more than four weeks left in its season | 100 g or 500 g; never 1 kg in the last month of a season. |
| Signature | Stock below four weeks of pours | Smallest size that covers a month: Gilli Mitti is flat-priced, so size gives no saving. |
| Any slot | Sells less than a third of the collection's average for two months | No reorder: test a replacement for that job at 50 g. |
Seasonal timing belongs to a calendar, not a collection; the dated inventory plan for summer, monsoon and winter is in I Want to Launch Different Candle Collections for Summer, Monsoon and Winter — How Should I Plan My Fragrance Oil Inventory?, and the decision on which oils deserve 1 kg inventory is in I'm Buying Multiple Fragrance Oils in 1 Kg Quantities — How Should I Decide Which Ones Deserve Bulk Inventory?.
CandleMakingSuppliesIndia sells every oil, wax, jar and wick named here and does not sell finished candles. We checked our own catalogue for a complete-collection bundle before writing and report that there is none, and we advise against buying the production scale before testing, although it is the largest order on this page.
Every price, pack size and stock status was taken from CSI's live store and verified on 24 September 2026; out-of-stock sizes are flagged where mentioned. Notes, candle loads and IFRA or phthalate wording are quoted from each product page, never asserted by us.
The twelve-slot structure, the anchor examples and the reorder rules are our judgement; CSI has no sales rankings or throw data for these oils. For bulk pricing, GST invoicing, and MSDS and IFRA documentation on request, message us on WhatsApp at +91 7397976926.
