Premium Indian Fragrance Oil Collection for Candle Businesses

The three kits side by side

CSI does not sell these as boxed kits; they are shopping lists built from single products, so you can drop any line. Each kit is priced from the product pages on 24 September 2026, and each covers the same Indian palette so a business can move from one to the next without re-testing everything. Look at the "oil per candle" column. Going from Discovery to House, a ₹2,150.22 spend becomes ₹26,042.20, twelve times the money, but the oil in each candle falls only from ₹76.79 to ₹61.86. That is because most of the Indian oils here are priced nearly flat per gram above 100 g: Gilli Mitti is ₹8.96 a gram at every size from 50 g upwards (0.0% difference between the 50 g and the 1 kg). Buy kits for the candles they let you make and sell, not for a bulk saving that barely exists on these oils. Kit 1 — Discovery: seven notes at 50 g

Seven oils, one of each Indian note, at the size that lets you test properly. A 50 g bottle makes four 150 g candles at 8%, or one each at 6%, 8% and 10% (9 g, 12 g and 15 g of oil) with 14 g left for a retest.

Why these seven and not others? Each is the in-stock oil whose page most directly names its Indian note, and six of the seven state a candle load. Saffron Cedarwood is the exception, included because nothing else at CSI puts saffron and cardamom together over smoke and amber ("Top: Citrus, Cardamom Middle: Palo Santo, Saffron, Violet Base: Wood, Sandalwood, Smoke and Amber"); test it inside the wax ceiling. Two small anomalies to know: Saffron Cedarwood's 15 g (₹6.92/g) is cheaper per gram than its 50 g (₹7.08/g), and Gilli Mitti is priced flat from 50 g. Neither changes the advice: 50 g is the smallest size that tests three loads.

Kit 2 — Studio: one hero, five supporting oils

Studio assumes Discovery has told you which oil leads. We price it with Raat Ki Rani as the hero because, with Mogra out of stock, it is the Indian white floral CSI can supply at every size; replace it with your own winner. The five supporting oils are at 100 g, which on four of them already reaches the per-gram floor.

If Gilli Mitti won Discovery instead, take its 500 g (₹4,480.00) and drop Raat Ki Rani to 100 g (₹700.00): the kit becomes ₹6,911.00, ₹897.00 more, because Gilli Mitti is the dearest candle-grade oil in the palette. Saffron Cedarwood is not in Studio by default. Its page states no candle load, and its 100 g (₹6.96/g) is dearer per gram than its 500 g (₹5.17/g) by a wide margin; if it passed Discovery, it earns a 500 g slot in House rather than a 100 g slot here.

Kit 3 — House: bulk only where bulk pays

House is for a business with a real order book: a Diwali gifting run, a wedding-favour contract, a hotel or restaurant client. It takes each oil to the size where the per-gram price bottoms out, and no further, unless the candle count genuinely needs more.

Be clear about why three oils are at 1 kg. Only British Rose is actually cheaper per gram at 1 kg; on Sandalwood and Woody Oud the 1 kg costs exactly twice the 500 g (₹5,026.80 against 2 × ₹2,513.40; ₹4,531.20 against 2 × ₹2,265.60), so the 1 kg is purely a volume choice for your two workhorse scents. If you would rather keep every line at 500 g, the House kit costs ₹19,788.20, ₹6,254.00 less, and makes 41 candles per oil (Sultan's Smoke stays at 100 g, eight candles). Saffron Cedarwood is the opposite case: its 1 kg (₹6,867.60) costs ₹1,699.20 more than two 500 g packs. If you need a kilogram of it, buy two 500 g packs, and ask on WhatsApp before ordering the 1 kg.

Five oils that make the kits Indian

British Rose, Sandalwood and Woody Oud appear in every kit and are covered card by card in Oud, Rose and Sandalwood Fragrance Oils for Indian Luxury Candles. The five below are the oils that give these kits their Indian specificity. Ranked by how directly the page names an Indian note, whether a candle load is stated, and stock depth. Candle counts assume 150 g at 8%.

Wax, jars and wicks for each kit

The kit prices above are oil only. Here is what the rest costs, at unit rates from CSI's packs: 138 g of Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464 per candle at ₹70.02 (the 10 kg bag, ₹5,074.00; the page states melt and pour at 80–90°C and up to 10% load), one Clear Glass Jar with Golden Lid (150 gram) at ₹94.40 (pack of 20, ₹1,888.00), and one Eco Candle Wick, Thin (C1) at ₹5.90 (pack of 100, ₹590.00). That is ₹170.32 per candle before oil.

These are unit-rate worked examples; you buy in whole packs, so the till total is a little higher. For Discovery, the real basket is four 1 kg bags of CSI 464 (₹2,029.60; 28 candles need 3.86 kg), 30 jars (a pack of 20 and a pack of 10, ₹2,832.00) and 50 C1 wicks (₹295.00), which with the oils comes to ₹7,306.82. Every figure excludes labour, freight, packaging and GST.

Wax choice matters little to the kit price but does matter to headroom. Every oil in these kits with a stated load tops out at 10%, the same as CSI 464's stated ceiling. Premium Coconut Soy Wax CSI 468 (pour 58–60°C, up to 13%) and Luxury Soy Wax Chunks (up to 13%) allow more, but the lower of the two ceilings governs, so for these oils 10% is still the maximum; the extra headroom only matters for Saffron Cedarwood and Sultan's Smoke, whose pages state no load. Wick size depends on the jar's diameter and the oil; C1 is a starting point, not a prescription. Run a melt-pool test and see the Candle Wicks collection if the pool does not reach the edge.

Out of stock: what each kit uses instead

On 24 September 2026, Mogra Fragrance Oil (100 g, ₹642.00), Rajnigandha (Tuberose) (every size), Regal Royal Oud (every size) and Frankincense and Tonka (1 kg only listing) are out of stock. Rajnigandha's listing title still carries a "Ships 12th July 2025" note, a date that has passed; treat it as out of stock and ask on WhatsApp for a real restock date before you plan around it.
