Is 1 kg fragrance oil cheaper than 100 g? For most oils, only slightly: 52 of 91 are within 1% per gram. Twenty-four are 5% or more cheaper, such as Verbena (20.0%) and Roasted Coconut (19.2%). A few, like Love Spell, cost fractionally more per gram at 1 kg.
How much wax goes with 1 kg of fragrance oil? At 8%, 1 kg of oil pairs with 11.5 kg of wax for 12.5 kg of finished candles. At 10%, 9 kg of wax; at 6%, 15.67 kg.

What one kilo pours
Candles per kilo is 1,000 ÷ (fill × load). The table works it out for the containers in this cluster at three loads, plus the wax you need beside the kilo at 8%. Only the Golden Aluminium Tin's 85 g fill is published; the rest are illustrative, and no three-wick jar is listed at CSI, so the 400 g and 600 g rows are for planning only. The wax column is the same for every row, and that is the point: at 8%, one kilo of oil always goes with 11.5 kg of wax, whatever the container. What the container changes is the number of units, and therefore the number of jars, wicks and labels you need beside the kilo. Which kilos save money
The kilo is the largest listed pack for every oil. Whether it is also the cheapest per gram varies oil by oil. The table sets ten oils side by side: five with real breaks, two flat, one fractionally dearer at 1 kg, and two whose kilo is out of stock on the pull date.

Across the catalogue, 24 oils show a kilo saving of 5% or more over the 100 g. The largest are Citronella (62.3%), Honeydew Melon (22.0%), Mango Coconut (20.7%), Verbena (20.0%) and Roasted Coconut (19.2%). Fifty-two of the 91 oils listing both sizes are within 1%. A few kilos run the other way: Dahlia (BBW Inspired), Love Spell and Pomegranate Splash cost fractionally more per gram at 1 kg than at 100 g. For those, ten 100 g bottles are the cheaper way to buy a kilo's worth. Roasted Coconut has no 500 g listed, so its only production step is straight to the kilo.
How long a kilo lasts
A kilo is only good value if you use it. The table shows how long one kilo lasts at different monthly volumes of 200 g jars at 8% (16 g per jar), for a single scent. Where a kilo would last more than about three months, a 500 g or 100 g bottles are usually the better buy for flat-priced oils; for break oils the kilo can still make sense if you are confident of the scent.

Three months is a working guide, not a shelf-life figure. Store oil sealed, cool and out of sunlight, and ask CSI on WhatsApp if you need guidance on a specific oil. A 1 kg production run, priced
Here is one kilo of Verbena turned into a run of White Matte jar candles at an illustrative 200 g and 8%. A kilo covers 62.5 jars in theory; with a 4% allowance for pour loss and test burns (a working assumption within 3–5%), plan 60 jars: 960 g of oil, 998.4 g with the allowance. Wax is 11.04 kg, 11.48 kg with the allowance, so 12 kg.

The oil is ₹78.67 of each jar's ₹279.10. Bought as ten 100 g bottles, the same Verbena would cost ₹5,900.00, adding ₹19.67 to every jar. For a flat-priced oil like Sandalwood, the kilo and the ten bottles cost the same, and the choice is purely about how you like to store and reorder.
