Commercial Fragrance · Buying for Coconut Soy
You do not buy different fragrance oils for coconut soy wax. You buy the same oils, in the right pack for where each scent is in its life, and you pay a little more for the wax. This page prices both halves so you can place the order with your eyes open.
₹9.38
extra wax cost per 200 g candle, CSI 468 coconut soy against Luxury Soy Wax Chunks, at 1 kg prices · CSI live pricing, September 2026
Quick answers — read this first
Where can I buy fragrance oils for coconut soy wax in India? CSI's Fragrance Oils collection lists 93 oils, 86 with stock, from ₹68.44 for 15 g. The same oils go into soy or coconut soy; you buy the wax separately — CSI 468 from ₹325.00 for 500 g.

Which pack size should I buy? 15 g to test, 100 g for a first batch, 500 g or 1 kg only for proven scents. For most oils, 100 g already costs the kilo rate per gram. See the pack guide.

Is coconut soy dearer than soy per candle? Slightly. 184 g of CSI 468 costs ₹119.60 against ₹110.22 for Luxury Soy Wax Chunks — ₹9.38 more per 200 g candle. The other two coconut waxes add ₹59.06 and ₹78.68.

What load should I buy for? No maximum load is published in our data for any coconut wax. Cost at 8% as the midpoint of a 6–10% test ladder, and confirm the wax maker's figure on the product page or WhatsApp. Best Fragrance Load for Fragrance Oils in Coconut Soy Wax has the ladder.
The short answer
Pack sizes: 15 g for testing · 50 g where no 15 g is listed · 100 g for a first batch · 500 g / 1 kg for proven sellers. The reliable per-gram step is 15 g → 50/100 g.
Wax cost: Per 200 g candle: CSI 464 ₹93.36 · soy chunks ₹110.22 · CSI 468 ₹119.60 · Premium Coconut Soy ₹169.28 · Coconut Wax ₹188.89.
First order: Two scents, 24 candles, 5 kg CSI 468, wicks and jars: ₹7,090.00 — about ₹190.00 more than the same order in soy chunks.

The bars show wax only, for the 184 g of wax in a 200 g candle at an 8% test load. The oil, wick and jar are identical whichever wax you choose, so this is the whole of the cost difference between a soy and a coconut-soy candle. CSI 468 is ₹3,185.00 for 5 kg against ₹2,995.00 for soy chunks, which is why the gap narrows slightly at 5 kg.
Straight answer
Where should I buy fragrance oils for coconut soy wax in India, and how much will it cost me?
There is no separate range of "coconut soy" fragrance oils. The oils in CSI's Fragrance Oils collection are the ones you would use in any container wax; what changes is the wax you pour them into. So buy in two halves. For the oil, buy 15 g testers first, move winners to 100 g (which, for most oils, is already the kilo rate per gram), and only then to 500 g or 1 kg. For the wax, Premium Coconut Soy Wax CSI 468 costs ₹650.00 a kilo, so a 200 g candle's 184 g of wax costs ₹119.60 — ₹9.38 more than Luxury Soy Wax Chunks. A first order of two scents for 24 candles, with 5 kg of CSI 468, wicks and jars, comes to ₹7,090.00. No fragrance ceiling is published in our data for coconut waxes, so cost at 8% as a test midpoint and confirm the wax maker's maximum on WhatsApp before scaling.
One line: buy the oils the way you would for soy — test in 15 g, produce from 100 g — and budget about ₹9 more per candle for the coconut-soy wax.
If you are ready to test, the cheapest honest start is three 15 g testers of oils that sit at three different production prices per gram — Lavender ₹105.02, Orchard Pear ₹105.02, Cinnamon Vanilla ₹106.20 — plus a 500 g bag of CSI 468 at ₹325.00. That is ₹641.24 for nine 50 g test pots with wax to spare; add wicks from ₹59.00 for 10 if you have none.

Same oils, different wax bill

Search for "coconut soy fragrance oil" and you will find oils sold as if they were a different product. At CSI they are not. You are buying a wax decision, not an oil decision.

Every oil in the Fragrance Oils collection is sold for candle making in general. None is listed as specific to coconut soy, and we have no compatibility data that would justify one. What does change when you move to coconut soy is the wax line on your costing. Coconut-soy blends are generally chosen for a creamy, smooth top and a premium position above plain soy, and you pay for that in the wax. The table below holds the oil constant and changes only the wax, so you can see the whole of that cost.

200 g candle · 8% test load · 16 g oil at its 100 g rate · Eco Thin C1 wick · White Matte jar · CSI live pricing, 24 September 2026
The same oil in four waxes — material cost per candle
Oil (100 g price) Soy Wax Chunks CSI 468 coconut soy Premium Coconut Soy Coconut Wax CSI 468 vs chunks
Lavender (₹540.00 / 100 g) ₹273.32 ₹282.70 ₹332.38 ₹351.99 ₹9.38
Orchard Pear (₹380.00 / 100 g) ₹247.72 ₹257.10 ₹306.78 ₹326.39 ₹9.38
Cinnamon Vanilla (₹483.80 / 100 g) ₹264.32 ₹273.71 ₹323.39 ₹343.00 ₹9.38
Bergamot Amber (₹560.00 / 100 g) ₹276.52 ₹285.90 ₹335.58 ₹355.19 ₹9.38

The last column is the same for every oil — ₹9.38 — because the only thing that changed is 184 g of wax at ₹650.00 a kilo instead of ₹599.00. Material cost means oil, wax, wick and jar, and excludes labour, packaging, freight and GST. On a candle that already costs ₹282.70 in coconut soy with Lavender, the wax premium over soy chunks is about 3.3% of materials. The two dearer coconut waxes are a bigger step: Premium Coconut Soy Wax adds ₹59.06 per candle over soy chunks and Coconut Wax adds ₹78.68.

Buy the wax in the size that matches your oil
A 100 g bottle at 16 g a candle makes 6.25 candles, which need 1,150 g of wax. So one 100 g oil pairs with a 1 kg bag of CSI 468 plus a little extra; four 100 g oils pair with a 5 kg bag. At 5 kg, CSI 468 falls from ₹650.00 to ₹637.00 a kilo (a 2.0% saving), which is the only per-kilo break on this wax.

If you are coming from soy, nothing else in your kit needs to change for a first test: the same Eco Candle Wicks, the same jars, the same oils. Whether your current wick suits a coconut-soy melt pool is something only a burn test can tell you; wick sizes for jar diameters are not published in our data. The soy-side equivalent of this page is Buy Fragrance Oils for Soy Candles in India.

Which pack to buy, and when

Oils at CSI come in up to five sizes: 15 g, 50 g, 100 g, 500 g and 1 kg. Not every oil lists every size, and some start at 50 g or 100 g. The right size depends on where the scent is in its life, not on which pack looks cheapest. The table converts each size into candles and into the CSI 468 you need beside it.

200 g candle at an 8% test load · 16 g oil + 184 g wax per candle · CSI 468 at its 1 kg rate
What each oil pack makes, and the coconut-soy wax it needs
Oil pack Candles CSI 468 needed Cost of that wax When to buy it
15 g 0.94 172 g ₹112.12 Testing: one full candle or a three-pot ladder
50 g 3.12 575 g ₹373.75 Second-round test, or a tester where no 15 g is listed
100 g 6.25 1,150 g ₹747.50 First production batch; usually kilo-rate per gram
500 g 31.25 5,750 g ₹3,737.50 Proven scent, steady monthly sales
1 kg 62.50 11,500 g ₹7,475.00 Proven best-seller; check for a real kilo saving

Read the middle column when you order. A single 1 kg of oil needs 11.5 kg of coconut-soy wax, which is a 10 kg bag plus a 1 kg and a 500 g bag. Makers often buy a kilo of oil and a kilo of wax together, then discover the wax runs out after nine candles. Add 3–5% for pour loss and test burns as a working assumption. If you plan to test at 10%, a 100 g bottle makes five candles, not 6.25; the load guide shows every step.

1
Stage 1 · Test in 15 gFifty-one oils list an in-stock 15 g. Each scents one 187.5 g candle at 8%, or a three-pot ladder of 50 g candles at 6%, 8% and 10%. Where an oil starts at 50 g — Mahogany Teakwood, Love Spell, Wild Berries — the 50 g is its tester.
2
Stage 2 · Make the first batch from 100 gSix full 200 g candles per 100 g at 8%. For most oils this is the kilo rate per gram, so you pay production prices without production risk.
3
Stage 3 · Move steady sellers to 500 gUseful where an oil shows a saving at 500 g, such as Mango Coconut or Honeydew Melon, or where you reorder every month. Not every oil lists a 500 g.
4
Stage 4 · Move best-sellers to 1 kgBuy the kilo for stock security, and check whether the oil is one of the 24 with a real kilo saving. Buy 1 Kg Fragrance Oil for Coconut Soy Candle Making covers that decision for coconut-soy.
5
Stage 5 · Beyond 1 kg, askLarger quantities are quoted on WhatsApp. No volume discount figure is published, so ask with your oils and quantities. Wholesale Fragrance Oils for Coconut Soy Candle Brands explains the route.
Argued against our own interest, plainly. It would suit us if you bought a 1 kg of every scent you plan to launch. For most oils the kilo is not cheaper per gram than 100 g — Lavender is ₹5.40/g at 100 g and ₹5.22/g at 1 kg, a 3.3% difference — and an unproven scent in a kilo bottle is money on a shelf. Buy 100 g until the candle sells, then buy the kilo because you need the stock.

The 15 g premium

The 15 g is where the per-gram price bends. It is the right size to test in and the wrong size to produce from.

Across the catalogue, the 15 g carries a median 23.1% premium per gram over the same oil's 100 g, and on some oils much more. Orchard Pear is a clear case: ₹7.00/g at 15 g against ₹3.80/g at 100 g, a 84.2% premium. Poured into coconut-soy candles from testers, its oil costs ₹112.02 per candle; from the 100 g it costs ₹60.80. That is ₹51.22 more on every candle for buying small.

15 g against 100 g, same oil · CSI live pricing, 24 September 2026
How much the tester costs per gram
Oil 15 g 100 g 15 g premium Oil per candle from 15 g From 100 g
Orchard Pear ₹7.00/g ₹3.80/g 84.2% ₹112.02 ₹60.80
Fresh Strawberries ₹7.55/g ₹3.78/g 100.0% ₹120.83 ₹60.42
Cinnamon Vanilla ₹7.08/g ₹4.84/g 46.3% ₹113.28 ₹77.41
Lavender ₹7.00/g ₹5.40/g 29.7% ₹112.02 ₹86.40
Bergamot Amber ₹7.00/g ₹5.60/g 25.0% ₹112.02 ₹89.60

Above 100 g the curve flattens. The 50 g and 100 g of most oils are within 1% per gram of each other, and 52 of 91 oils price the kilo within 1% of the 100 g. Twenty-four oils do show a kilo saving of 5% or more — Mango Coconut 20.7%, Honeydew Melon 22.0%, Jasmine 8.8%, Fresh Strawberries 6.3% — and a few run the other way, such as Love Spell and Pomegranate Splash, whose kilos cost fractionally more per gram than their 100 g. So the reliable saving is one step: from 15 g to 50 g or 100 g.

The false economy. Buying a new scent as three 15 g bottles because "it is only ₹300" costs more per gram than one 50 g, and gives you less. If you already know a scent will go into production, skip the second and third tester and buy the 50 g or 100 g.

A costed first order

Here is a realistic first coconut-soy order: two scents, twelve 200 g candles of each, at an 8% test-ladder midpoint. Each scent needs 192 g of oil, so two 100 g bottles per scent cover it with 8 g to spare for a test pot. The 24 candles need 4,416 g of wax, or about 4,593 g with a 4% allowance, which is one 5 kg bag of CSI 468. The oils are Lavender, near the top of CSI's best-selling sort, and Orchard Pear, one of the value oils.

Before you check out

A few checks save most of the reorders and surprises that follow a first coconut-soy order.

Check the stock line on every size. Some oils are missing a size on the pull date — the Vetiver 1 kg, the Chocolate Fudge 100 g, most sizes of Coffee Blast and Moca Coffee. Seven oils have no size in stock at all. A price you cannot buy is not a price, so check the product page before building a costing on it. Ask for the wax's stated maximum load. We do not publish one for CSI 468, Premium Coconut Soy Wax or Coconut Wax in this series. Ask for the paperwork at the time of ordering: GST invoice, MSDS and IFRA documentation are available on request, and the IFRA certificate is where an individual oil's usage limits live — we do not quote them here.

The CSI principle
Buy oils for the stage the scent is at, and wax for the candles the oil will make.
A 15 g for a scent you are still judging, a 100 g for the first batch, a kilo for the best-seller. Then size the wax bag from the oil, not the other way round: one 100 g of oil fills about 1.15 kg of coconut-soy wax at 8%.

If you want to go further before ordering, Best Fragrance Oils for Coconut Soy Candles shortlists oils that suit the coconut-soy look, Strong Fragrance Oils for Coconut Soy Candles names candidates worth testing for strength, and Where to Buy Fragrance Oils for Premium Coconut Soy Candles sets out what to check in any supplier for a premium coconut-soy range. For the soy equivalent of the kilo decision, see Buy 1 Kg Fragrance Oil for Soy Candle Making.

The oil does not know it is in coconut soy. Your costing should.

Why trust this guide

CANDLEMAKINGSUPPLIESINDIA supplies raw materials, not finished candles. A buying page is where we would most like to sell you bigger packs. We have told you instead that 100 g is usually the kilo rate per gram, that the 15 g is the expensive way to produce, and that coconut soy costs slightly more than soy chunks per candle.

Every oil and wax price on this page comes from live CSI listings pulled on 24 September 2026. Wick and jar prices are those verified on 10 September 2026. Per-gram, per-candle and order totals are plain arithmetic on those prices, shown to two decimals so you can check them. Out-of-stock sizes are marked, not offered.

The 200 g candle, the 8% load and the 4% wastage allowance are working assumptions, not a recipe. No fragrance ceiling for any coconut wax is published in our data; the 8% figure is a test-ladder midpoint only. Frequently asked questions

Where to buy fragrance oil for coconut soy candles in India?
CSI lists 93 fragrance oils, 86 with stock, from ₹68.44 for 15 g, alongside CSI 468 coconut soy wax from ₹325.00 for 500 g. The oils are the same ones used in soy candles; the wax is what makes the candle coconut soy.
Do I need special fragrance oil for coconut soy wax?
No oil at CSI is sold as coconut-soy specific, and we have no compatibility data to justify one. Use candle fragrance oils, test each one in your own coconut-soy candle, and confirm the wax's maximum load on its product page or WhatsApp.
How much does coconut soy wax cost compared with soy wax?
CSI 468 is ₹650.00 a kilo against ₹599.00 for Luxury Soy Wax Chunks and ₹507.40 for CSI 464. In a 200 g candle that is ₹119.60, ₹110.22 and ₹93.36 of wax. Premium Coconut Soy Wax is ₹920.00 and Coconut Wax ₹1,026.60 a kilo.
What size fragrance oil should I buy for candle making?
15 g to test, 100 g for your first batch, 500 g or 1 kg for proven sellers. The 15 g carries a median 23.1% per-gram premium over 100 g; above 100 g most oils are priced almost flat per gram.
How many coconut soy candles does 100 g of fragrance oil make?
At an 8% load in a 200 g candle, 100 g makes 6.25 candles; at 6%, 8.33; at 10%, 5. Those loads are a test ladder — no ceiling is published for coconut waxes in our data, so confirm the maximum first.
Is 1 kg fragrance oil cheaper than 100 g?
Usually not by much. For 52 of 91 oils the 1 kg is within 1% of the 100 g per gram. Twenty-four oils save 5% or more, including Mango Coconut (20.7%) and Cinnamon Vanilla (5.9%). Buy 1 Kg Fragrance Oil for Coconut Soy Candle Making covers the kilo decision for coconut soy.

Price-break statistics compare per-gram prices of the same oil across its listed sizes: 15 g vs 100 g median premium 23.1% (55 oils); 1 kg vs 100 g, 52 of 91 within ±1%, 24 with a saving of 5% or more. The 4% wastage allowance is a working assumption within the 3–5% range. Coconut-soy's usual positioning (creamy top, premium feel) is general practice, not a CSI measurement.
