Commercial Fragrance · Coconut-Soy Brands
Wholesale for a candle brand is not a secret price list. It is a buying plan: the right pack for each scent's monthly volume, the few oils that really get cheaper by the kilo, and a quote for anything beyond the listed packs. This page builds that plan for a six-scent coconut-soy range.
₹79.91
average oil cost per 200 g candle across a six-scent, 300-candle month, bought in the cheapest listed packs · CSI live pricing, September 2026
Quick answers — read this first
Does CSI sell fragrance oils wholesale for candle brands? Yes, in two ways. Listed packs go up to 1 kg per oil and 10 kg per wax bag, at the prices on the store. Beyond that, larger quantities are quoted on WhatsApp; no discount figure is published, so ask with your oils and volumes.

Is the 1 kg cheaper per gram? For some oils, clearly: Honeydew Melon 22.0%, Mango Coconut 20.7%, Verbena 20.0%, Roasted Coconut 19.2%. For most, no — 52 of 91 oils price the kilo within 1% of the 100 g. Lavender Cranberry Coconut's kilo is fractionally dearer per gram.

How much oil does a 300-candle month use? At 16 g per 200 g candle, 4.8 kg; with a 4% allowance, 4.99 kg. The same month needs 57.41 kg of CSI 468 — six 10 kg bags.

What load should a coconut-soy brand standardise on? Only one you have tested and that sits under the wax maker's stated maximum. No coconut-wax ceiling is published in our data; confirm it on WhatsApp. 8% is used here as a costing midpoint. Best Fragrance Load for Fragrance Oils in Coconut Soy Wax.
The short answer
Monthly plan: 300 candles, six scents: oil ₹23,971.80 in the cheapest listed packs, CSI 468 ₹38,220.00 (6 × 10 kg), Eco Thin C1 wicks ₹2,950.00 (500). Total ₹65,141.80.
Kilo breaks: Real on 24 oils (Honeydew Melon 22.0%, Mango Coconut 20.7%, Verbena 20.0%, Roasted Coconut 19.2%, Jasmine 8.8%); flat or fractionally dearer on most others.
Quotes: Beyond 1 kg per oil, or for a mixed monthly order, ask on WhatsApp. No volume discount figure is published.

The split between scents is illustrative — your sales history should set it. The bars include a 4% allowance for pour loss and test burns, a working assumption. What matters is the shape: one or two scents carry most of the volume, and those are the only ones where a kilo pack, or a quote beyond it, is worth thinking about.
Straight answer
How should a coconut-soy candle brand buy fragrance oils wholesale?
Start by accepting what the listed catalogue says: for most oils, bigger packs buy stock security, not a lower rate. Fifty-two of 91 oils price the 1 kg within 1% of the 100 g per gram. Twenty-four oils do get meaningfully cheaper by the kilo — Honeydew Melon (22.0%), Mango Coconut (20.7%), Verbena (20.0%) and Roasted Coconut (19.2%) among them — and a brand should build its high-volume scents from that list where the fragrance fits. For a six-scent coconut-soy range selling 300 candles a month, the cheapest listed packs put ₹23,971.80 of oil into the month, or ₹79.91 per candle, with six 10 kg bags of CSI 468 at ₹38,220.00. Beyond 1 kg per oil, ask on WhatsApp for a quote; no discount figure is published, so do not plan around one. Ask for GST invoices, MSDS and IFRA certificates with the first order.
One line: put your volume scents on oils with a real kilo break, keep the rest in 100 g, and ask for a quote only where a scent outgrows the kilo.
If Honeydew Melon or Verbena is already a best-seller in your coconut-soy range, the kilo is where the saving is: Honeydew Melon ₹3,398.40 (₹3.40/g) against ₹4.35/g at 100 g, and Verbena ₹4,720.00 (₹4.72/g) against ₹5.90/g.

What wholesale means at CSI

A brand does not need a secret price. It needs to know which listed pack is cheapest for each scent, and when its volume has outgrown the list.

CSI's listed catalogue is the wholesale catalogue for most small and mid-sized brands. Oils come in up to five sizes, from 15 g to 1 kg; Premium Coconut Soy Wax CSI 468 comes in 500 g, 1 kg, 5 kg and 10 kg bags. There is no stated minimum order, so the smallest listed size of each oil is effectively the minimum. Above the listed packs — several kilos of one oil, or a mixed monthly order — prices are quoted on WhatsApp, and no discount figure is published. We will not invent one here.

What is listed and what is quoted · CSI live pricing, 24 September 2026
The two routes for a brand
Need Route What you know in advance
Up to 1 kg of any in-stock oil Listed packs on the store Exact price per pack; per gram is arithmetic
CSI 468 up to 10 kg per bag Listed bags ₹6,370.00 per 10 kg (₹637.00 / kg); 2.0% under the 1 kg rate
Several kilos of one oil WhatsApp quote No published discount — ask with oil and quantity
A mixed monthly order across scents WhatsApp quote No published discount — send the full list
An oil or size out of stock WhatsApp Ask for a restock date; do not build a launch on it
GST invoice, MSDS, IFRA certificate On request with the order Available; ask at the time of ordering

That second-last row matters for brands more than for hobbyists. Seven oils have no size in stock on the pull date, and several others are missing a size — for example, Vetiver's 1 kg, Freshwater's 500 g and 1 kg, and Roasted Coconut, which does not list a 500 g at all. A brand scent that cannot be restocked is a product you have to withdraw. Check the stock line for every scent before it goes on a label.

Coconut-soy load first, contract second
Before you agree monthly volumes with anyone, fix your load. No fragrance ceiling is published in our data for CSI 468, Premium Coconut Soy Wax or Coconut Wax. Ask for the wax maker's stated maximum on WhatsApp, test within it, and only then work out your monthly kilos. A 2% change in load changes your monthly oil order by a quarter at 8%.

Which oils really get cheaper

The single most useful fact for a brand's buying plan is which oils have a real kilo break. On the listed catalogue it is a minority. Here is the break profile of the six-scent range used on this page — chosen to show both kinds.

Per gram at each listed size · CSI live pricing, 24 September 2026
The six-scent range, break by break
Oil 100 g 500 g 1 kg 1 kg saving vs 100 g
Mango Coconut ₹5.00/g ₹3.96/g ₹3.96/g 20.7%
Honeydew Melon ₹4.35/g ₹3.40/g ₹3.40/g 22.0%
Verbena ₹5.90/g ₹4.96/g ₹4.72/g 20.0%
Jasmine ₹4.30/g ₹3.92/g ₹3.92/g 8.8%
Roasted Coconut ₹4.95/g Not listed ₹4.00/g 19.2%
Lavender Cranberry Coconut ₹7.99/g ₹8.00/g ₹8.00/g -0.1%

Four of the six save roughly a fifth by the kilo, which is unusual across the catalogue. Jasmine saves 8.8%. Lavender Cranberry Coconut is priced flat, and its kilo costs fractionally more per gram than its 100 g (₹7.99/g against ₹8.00/g). For that oil, the kilo is purely about stock: do not buy it expecting a saving. The broader pattern across all 91 oils that list both sizes is 52 within 1%, 24 saving 5% or more, and a few, such as Love Spell, Pomegranate Splash and Dahlia, fractionally dearer at the kilo.

Argued against our own interest, plainly. A supplier's wholesale page usually tells you to buy everything by the kilo. For Lavender Cranberry Coconut, Jasmine Coconut Spa Ceylon and most of the catalogue, that saves you nothing per gram on our listed prices. Keep low-volume scents in 100 g, where the per-gram rate is the same and the risk is a tenth. Put your kilo money into the oils with a real break, and into the scents that actually sell.

Verbena Fragrance Oil
Verbena falls at every step above 50 g: ₹5.90/g at 100 g, ₹4.96/g at 500 g and ₹4.72/g at 1 kg. For a brand that sells it steadily, the kilo is a genuine 20.0% saving, not just convenience.

A monthly plan for a six-scent brand

300 candles a month is a small brand's rhythm. Here is what its fragrance order actually looks like.

The plan below assumes 300 candles of 200 g a month at an 8% costing load — the midpoint of a test ladder, since no coconut-wax ceiling is published in our data. The split between scents is illustrative. Each scent's need includes a 4% allowance for pour loss and test burns, a working assumption. The pack mix is the cheapest combination of in-stock listed packs that covers the need, using 100 g and larger packs plus at most one 50 g top-up.

200 g candles · 16 g oil each · 4% allowance · cheapest in-stock listed packs
One month of oil for 300 coconut-soy candles
Scent Candles Oil used With allowance Cheapest listed mix Cost
Mango Coconut 80 1,280 g 1,331.2 g 1 × 50 g + 3 × 100 g + 1 × 1 kg ₹5,714.00
Honeydew Melon 60 960 g 998.4 g 1 × 1 kg ₹3,398.40
Verbena 50 800 g 832.0 g 1 × 50 g + 3 × 100 g + 1 × 500 g ₹4,578.40
Jasmine 40 640 g 665.6 g 2 × 100 g + 1 × 500 g ₹2,821.00
Roasted Coconut 40 640 g 665.6 g 7 × 100 g ₹3,465.00
Lavender Cranberry Coconut 30 480 g 499.2 g 5 × 100 g ₹3,995.00
Total 300 4,800 g 4,992.0 g ₹23,971.80

Bought the naive way — every scent in 100 g bottles — the same month would cost ₹27,134.20 in oil, so choosing packs by break saves ₹3,162.40 a month on this range. Nearly all of that comes from the four oils with a real kilo break. The wax is simpler: 300 candles need 55,200 g of CSI 468, or 57,408 g with the allowance, which is six 10 kg bags at ₹38,220.00, leaving about 2,592 g in hand.

Oil and wax CSI live pricing, 24 September 2026 · wicks from the 25 September 2026 pull
The month's raw-material order
Line Quantity Cost
Fragrance oils, six scents 4.99 kg needed ₹23,971.80
Premium Coconut Soy Wax CSI 468 6 × 10 kg ₹38,220.00
Eco Candle Wicks Thin C1 500 wicks ₹2,950.00
Total before jars, labels, packaging ₹65,141.80

Per candle that is ₹217.14 of oil, wax and wick — jar, labour, packaging, freight and GST excluded, and wicks for 200 more candles in hand. At this volume, a brand is still well within the listed packs; the kilo sizes cover every scent. The case for a WhatsApp quote starts when one scent needs several kilos at once, or when you want a single mixed order priced as a whole. The bulk manufacturing guide takes the same maths to a 1,000-candle run.

Where the kilo starts to pay

Even for oils with a real break, the kilo only wins once your need passes a certain weight. Below it, a handful of 100 g bottles costs less than the kilo you would only half use. The point is easy to work out: count how many 100 g bottles cost as much as the kilo.

Break-even between 100 g bottles and one 1 kg · CSI live pricing, 24 September 2026
When the kilo becomes the cheaper buy
Oil 100 g 1 kg 100 g bottles that match the kilo Kilo costs the same or less once you need
Mango Coconut ₹500.00 ₹3,964.00 8 × 100 g = ₹4,000.00 above 700 g
Honeydew Melon ₹435.42 ₹3,398.40 8 × 100 g = ₹3,483.36 above 700 g
Verbena ₹590.00 ₹4,720.00 8 × 100 g = ₹4,720.00 above 700 g
Jasmine ₹430.00 ₹3,923.00 10 × 100 g = ₹4,300.00 above 900 g
Roasted Coconut ₹495.00 ₹3,999.00 9 × 100 g = ₹4,455.00 above 800 g
Lavender Cranberry Coconut ₹799.00 ₹7,999.00 11 × 100 g = ₹8,789.00 never on price — only for stock

So a brand that needs 665 g of Roasted Coconut in a month is better off with seven 100 g bottles (₹3,465.00) than the kilo (₹3,999.00), even though the kilo is 19.2% cheaper per gram, unless the other 335 g will be used next month anyway. If it will, the kilo is the better buy and it doubles as stock cover. That is a judgement about your sales, not about our prices.

Buying the break you cannot use. A per-gram saving is only a saving if the oil is poured before your formula or range changes. A kilo of a seasonal scent bought in October for a Diwali line, then half-used, costs more than the 100 g bottles you actually needed. Match the pack to the months of sales you can see, not to the lowest per-gram number on the page.
Diwali is on 8 November 2026 and the November–February wedding season follows. If your festive month is two or three times your normal 300 candles, send us the plan now — scents, kilos and wax bags — for a single quote with GST invoicing and IFRA documentation.

Running the supply like a brand

A brand's fragrance supply fails in predictable ways: an out-of-stock hero scent, a load nobody wrote down, a gifting client asking for an IFRA certificate you do not have. The steps below prevent most of them.

1
Lock the formula per scentOil, load, wax, wick, jar, cure days — written down per scent. The load must sit under the coconut wax maker's stated maximum, which you have confirmed in writing on WhatsApp.
2
Classify each scent by breakReal kilo break (buy 500 g or 1 kg once volume allows) or flat (keep in 100 g until stock security matters). Use the table above for your own range.
3
Hold one month of cover on hero scentsFor the one or two scents that carry your volume, keep a month's oil in hand. The listed catalogue shows gaps in stock on the pull date; do not let one stop your production.
4
Send one monthly orderOne mixed order is easier to quote and track than six small ones. Send oils, sizes and wax bags together on WhatsApp.
5
Keep the paperwork per scentGST invoice, MSDS and IFRA certificate for every oil in your range, filed by scent. Retailers and corporate gifting clients ask for them; individual oils' IFRA limits live in those certificates, not on this page.
6
Re-test when anything changesA new wax batch, a wax switch or a new jar is a new candle. Run one test pour before the next production run.
The CSI principle
Buy the break where it exists, and buy the stock where you need it.
On the listed catalogue, a minority of oils get cheaper by the kilo. Put your volume on those where the scent fits, keep the rest in 100 g, and use the kilo — or a quote beyond it — for stock security on the scents that actually sell.

Why trust this guide

CANDLEMAKINGSUPPLIESINDIA supplies raw materials, not finished candles. A wholesale page is where a supplier would normally promise a volume discount. We do not publish one, so this page does not assume one; it shows where the listed kilo already saves money, where it does not, and names oils whose kilo costs fractionally more.

Every oil and wax price on this page comes from live CSI listings pulled on 24 September 2026; wick prices come from the 25 September 2026 pull. Pack mixes are the cheapest combinations of in-stock listed packs (100 g and larger, plus at most one 50 g), found by arithmetic. All totals are shown to two decimals so you can check them.

The 300-candle month, the six-scent split, the 8% costing load and the 4% allowance are working assumptions for illustration. No fragrance ceiling for coconut waxes is published in our data. For a quote beyond the listed packs, the wax maker's stated maximum, GST invoicing, MSDS or IFRA documentation, message us on WhatsApp at +91 7397976926.

Non-price figures and assumptions: The plan assumes 300 candles of 200 g a month at an 8% costing load (16 g oil + 184 g wax), split across six scents as shown for illustration, with a 4% allowance for pour loss and test burns. Pack mixes are the cheapest combination of in-stock packs of 100 g and above, plus at most one 50 g, covering each need. Per-candle figures exclude jars, labour, packaging, freight and GST. Kilo savings compare 1 kg and 100 g per-gram prices; across the catalogue 52 of 91 oils are within ±1% and 24 save 5% or more. No fragrance ceiling is published in our data for any coconut wax; 8% is a costing midpoint, not a specification. Diwali 2026 falls on 8 November.
