CSI Collection Buying · Meditation & Calm
A meditation candle is judged from arm's length in a still room, so its scent has to be quiet, rounded and steady. Here is the palette that does that, the five CSI oils that build it, and the words to use (and avoid) on the label.
5 oils
woods, resin, earth, herbal, soft floral — ₹1,408.70 at 50 g each · CSI live pricing, September 2026
Quick answers — read this first
Which fragrance oils suit meditation candles? The scents people most often associate with a quiet practice: creamy sandalwood, resinous palo santo and incense, earthy vetiver, herbal lavender, and soft, low-sweetness florals such as a dewy rose. At CSI the five that cover that palette with a stated candle load are Sandalwood, Palo Santo, Lavender, Vetiver and British Rose.

Can I say a meditation candle helps you relax or focus? Not as a promise. A candle is a fragrance product, and these are fragrance oils, not essential oils. Describe the scent and the mood it is commonly associated with ("soft sandalwood for a quiet corner"), never an effect on the body or mind.

What is the one gap? Resin. Frankincense and Tonka is out of stock on 24 September 2026, and the incense-style oils that are in stock (Sacred Sandal Ember, Midnight Bakhoor Royale, Sultan's Smoke) do not state a candle load. Palo Santo is the in-stock resinous route with a stated soy load.

How much to buy first? 50 g of each of the five, ₹1,408.70 in total, enough to pour every oil at 6%, 8% and 10% in a 150 g jar. The full basket with wax, jars and wicks is priced in the buying guide linked below.
The short answer
The palette: woods (sandalwood), resin and incense (palo santo), earth (vetiver), herbal (lavender), soft floral (rose). Quiet, rounded, not sweet, not sharp.
The shortlist: Sandalwood, Palo Santo, Lavender, Vetiver and British Rose — all five pages state a candle load topping out at 10%.
The language: scent character and association only. No claims about stress, sleep, anxiety or wellbeing, and no "essential oil" wording for fragrance oils.
The honest caveats: Vetiver's 1 kg is out of stock; its 15 g is 77% dearer per gram than its 50 g. The resin family is thin.
The meditation palette, mapped to real CSI oils Placement is editorial judgement from the notes each product page states. Stock as on 24 September 2026. warm · resinous ←→ cool · fresh airy · light grounded · deep more body, more base notes → Eucalyptus Spearmint Cucumber Green Tea Lavender British Rose Ylang Ylang Flower Gilli Mitti Vetiver Sandalwood Palo Santo Sacred Sandal Ember Frankincense and Tonka CSI meditation shortlist: in stock at every listed size except Vetiver 1 kg, candle load stated on page In stock, candle load stated: round-two options for the same palette Resin gap: Sacred Sandal Ember only in 500 g, no candle load stated; Frankincense and Tonka out of stock
The meditation palette sits in the grounded half of the map: woods, earth and resin, with lavender and a soft rose as the lighter voices. The five shortlisted oils (black) span the map from airy herbal to warm resinous. The two dashed boxes are where most meditation-candle buyers go looking first, and where CSI is thinnest.
Straight answer
I want to make meditation candles. Which CSI fragrance oils fit the style, and what should I avoid saying about them?
Build from five families: a creamy wood, a resin, an earthy root, a herbal and a soft floral. CSI's in-stock oils for those roles are Sandalwood (₹271.40 for 50 g), Palo Santo (₹300.90), Lavender (₹270.00), Vetiver (₹354.00) and British Rose (₹212.40), ₹1,408.70 for the five. Every one of their pages states a candle load that tops out at 10%, which matches the stated ceiling of Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464. What you avoid is the claims language that surrounds this category. A meditation candle is a scented candle made for a quiet setting; it does not treat, calm, cure or improve anything, and a fragrance oil is not an essential oil. Describe the scent (creamy, earthy, resinous, herbal, soft) and the setting it suits (an early-morning sit, a reading corner, a studio after class). Leave the effects to your customer.
One line: woods, resin, earth, herb and a quiet flower, poured soft, described honestly: that is a meditation candle.
Start with the base the whole palette sits on. Sandalwood 50 g is ₹271.40 (₹5.43 per gram), four 150 g candles at 8%. Its page states "Recommended load up to 10% for soy, up to 6% for paraffin".

What you may and may not say about a meditation candle

In this category the words on the label are a bigger risk than the oil in the jar.

The meditation and wellness shelf is crowded with promises: candles that "de-stress", "balance", "ground your energy" or send you to sleep. They are claims about the body and mind, and a scented candle made with fragrance oil cannot back them. CSI supplies fragrance oils for candles, not essential oils, not aromatherapy preparations and not wellness products, and nothing on this page should be read as saying a scent does something to you. We start here because it shapes every choice after it: if you cannot promise an effect, the scent itself has to carry the product, which is why the palette below is chosen for character, not for supposed benefits.

The good news is that honest language sells well in this category. People buying a candle for a quiet practice are usually buying an atmosphere and a ritual: the match, the first breath of scent, the small flame to look at. You can describe all of that truthfully. Use the words people use about scent — creamy, earthy, resinous, dry, soft, green, rounded — and the setting the candle is designed for. Associations are fine when they are framed as associations: "sandalwood, a scent long associated with temples and quiet rooms" is a cultural fact; "sandalwood calms the mind" is a claim.

Label and listing language · meditation candles
Describe the scent and the setting, not an effect
Write this Instead of a claim like Why the first version is safer
"Creamy sandalwood with a soft, earthy finish." a promise that the scent settles the mind Describes what the customer will smell; the page for Sandalwood uses the same words.
"Made for a quiet corner and a slow morning." a promise of less stress or better rest Names a setting and a use occasion, not an outcome.
"Palo santo, soft citrus and a touch of incense." "cleansing", "purifying" or "energy-clearing" Spiritual or hygienic claims cannot be substantiated for a candle.
"Scented with fragrance oil." "pure essential oils" or "natural aromatherapy blend" These are fragrance oils; calling them essential oils misdescribes the ingredient.
"Lavender, a scent many people associate with evening." any wording about sleep quality An association is an observation about people, not a property of the candle.
"Burn within sight, on a heat-proof surface, away from draughts." "safe for any room", "clean-burning" Generic safety guidance is appropriate; absolute safety claims are not.

How to write longer copy for the calm end of the range, with a fuller do-and-don't list, is the job of Calming Fragrance Oils for Candle Making. The wider wellness framing in India, including ingredient-honest labelling, is in Wellness-Inspired Candle Fragrance Oils in India, and the general "relaxing" scent families sit in Relaxing Fragrance Oils for Candle Making.

Mistake: naming a candle after an outcome ("Deep Sleep", "Anxiety Relief", "Stress Away"). Fix: name it after a moment, a place or a material: "First Light", "Floor Cushion", "Cedar Room", "Monsoon Sit". The name then promises a mood you can deliver with scent, not a result you cannot.

The meditation palette, family by family

Five families, one rule: nothing in the jar should demand attention.

A meditation candle is judged at close range, in a still room, often for twenty minutes to an hour at a time. That is a harder brief than a living-room candle, which only has to be pleasant as you walk past. Sharp citrus, bright mint, sugary vanilla and loud spice all read well from a doorway and wear badly at arm's length. The families below are the ones buyers and makers keep returning to for this setting, and what they have in common is shape: a soft opening, a heart that does not change much as it burns, and a dry, low base. Here is each family and what CSI actually has in it on 24 September 2026.

1 · Creamy woods — the base of the category

Sandalwood is the default meditation note in India and far beyond it, partly for its cultural associations and partly for its shape: soft, creamy, no sharp top to spend. CSI's Sandalwood Fragrance Oil is described as "warm, creamy, luxurious single-note sandalwood fragrance oil with a smooth woody aroma and subtle earthy undertone". Being single-note is a strength here: there is no citrus opening to flash off in the first ten minutes. Richer sandalwood interpretations exist in the range — the listing named "Sandal ITC inspired fragrance oil" (that is CSI's product listing name; the oil is CSI's interpretation and CSI is not affiliated with the brand) opens with saffron, cardamom and bergamot — but it is a perfume-grade listing with no candle load stated, and the head-to-head of the sandalwood tiers belongs to Lavender, Sandalwood and Floral Fragrance Oils for Relaxing Candles.

2 · Resin and incense — the note buyers ask for first

Frankincense, benzoin, labdanum, palo santo and temple-style incense give a meditation candle its ceremonial feel. This is the family where CSI is thinnest, and we cover it properly in its own section below. The short version: Palo Santo Fragrance Oil ("Earthy palo santo with soft citrus, warm amber, and a touch of incense") is in stock at every size and states "Up to 10% for soy wax". The dedicated incense oils either do not state a candle load or are out of stock.

3 · Earth and roots — vetiver and petrichor

Vetiver (khus) and rain-on-earth accords bring the "grounded" feel people describe, which we mean strictly as a scent description: dry, rooty, slightly smoky. Vetiver Fragrance Oil is described as "smoky, woody, and grounding with subtle green and sweet undertones"; Gilli Mitti (Patchouli) as "fresh rain, soft soil, natural patchouli, damp woods, and light musk". Vetiver makes the shortlist because it is the drier, less sweet of the two; Gilli Mitti is the round-two option, priced flat at ₹8.96 per gram from 50 g to 1 kg.

4 · Herbal — lavender, sage, a little eucalyptus

Lavender is the most recognisable "quiet" scent there is, and CSI's Lavender Fragrance Oil is built for a candle rather than a sachet: "fresh lavender top notes, herbal green mid notes, and soft musk base". Sage and Cedarwood is the drier herbal-wood option, and Eucalyptus Spearmint is the brightest; in our judgement eucalyptus reads as a studio or spa scent rather than a sitting scent, which is why it sits on the far airy edge of the map. The studio case is argued in Fragrance Oils for Yoga-Inspired Candles.

5 · Soft florals — rose, jasmine, ylang, used sparingly

A floral in a meditation line has to be quiet: dewy rather than jammy, green rather than sugary. British Rose Fragrance Oil ("fresh, dewy rose petals with subtle green undertones and a soft floral finish") is the best fit we stock, and the cheapest of the five at every size above 15 g. Jasmine ("sweet, floral, and slightly musky") and Ylang Ylang Flower ("Sweet, rich, and floral with creamy undertones") are richer and sweeter; both can work, but test them at the low end of the load range. The floral tiers, including the listing named "Yves Saint Laurent Libre inspired fragrance oil" (CSI's listing name; CSI is not affiliated with the brand), are compared in Lavender, Sandalwood and Floral Fragrance Oils for Relaxing Candles.

What to leave out
Gourmands (vanilla, coffee, chocolate), fruit, sharp citrus and warm baking spice are good candle oils and poor meditation oils, in our judgement: they are designed to be noticed. If your line needs a sweeter candle, keep it as the one warm outlier and give it a different name family from the rest.

The CSI meditation shortlist

One oil per family. Every one with a candle load on its page.

Ranked on what we can show you: fit to the palette on stated notes, whether the page states a candle load, per-gram price at 50 g, stock depth across sizes, and how much of the scent sits in the base (base notes are what a still room smells of after twenty minutes). We have no throw measurements and do not invent them. Candle counts assume a 150 g candle at 8% of total weight: 12 g of oil and 138 g of wax.

1
creamy wood · base · the anchor
Sandalwood Fragrance Oil
In our judgement, the oil to build a meditation line on. The page calls it "warm, creamy, luxurious single-note sandalwood fragrance oil with a smooth woody aroma and subtle earthy undertone" and states "Recommended load up to 10% for soy, up to 6% for paraffin". A single-note wood has nothing to burn off early, so what the room smells of at minute five is what it smells of at minute forty — exactly the steadiness a sitting candle wants. Limitation: on its own it can read plain; it is often better as the base of a two-candle pairing with Palo Santo or British Rose than as the whole story.
Size Price Per gram 150 g candles at 8%
15 gm ₹93.22 ₹6.21 1
50 gm ₹271.40 ₹5.43 4
100 gm ₹502.68 ₹5.03 8
500 gm ₹2,513.40 ₹5.03 41
1 kg ₹5,026.80 ₹5.03 83

2
resinous wood · top to base · the ceremonial note
Palo Santo Fragrance Oil
The in-stock answer to "I want incense". Stated notes: "Earthy palo santo with soft citrus, warm amber, and a touch of incense". The page states "Recommended Fragrance Load: Up to 10% for soy wax Up to 6% for paraffin wax". It is priced flat at ₹6.02 per gram from 50 g to 1 kg, so a 50 g test costs you nothing extra per gram against a kilogram. Limitation: the soft citrus top gives it more lift than a pure resin; if you want a darker, smokier incense candle, this is the start, not the end, of your search.
Size Price Per gram 150 g candles at 8%
15 gm ₹106.20 ₹7.08 1
50 gm ₹300.90 ₹6.02 4
100 gm ₹601.80 ₹6.02 8
500 gm ₹3,009.00 ₹6.02 41
1 kg ₹6,018.00 ₹6.02 83
The 15 g is 18% dearer per gram; from 50 g up the price per gram does not move. Buy Palo Santo
3
herbal · top and heart · the familiar one
Lavender Fragrance Oil
The scent most customers already connect with a quiet evening, which makes it the easiest candle in the line to explain. Stated notes: "fresh lavender top notes, herbal green mid notes, and soft musk base"; stated load "Recommended fragrance load 6-10% for candles". The page describes it as "A strong, IFRA-certified lavender fragrance oil" — that is the page's wording; ask for the documentation on WhatsApp. Customers on the page report good throw (see the reviews above). Limitation: lavender is everywhere, so it rarely makes a line distinctive on its own.
Size Price Per gram 150 g candles at 8%
15 gm ₹105.02 ₹7.00 1
50 gm ₹270.00 ₹5.40 4
100 gm ₹540.00 ₹5.40 8
500 gm ₹2,620.00 ₹5.24 41
1 kg ₹5,221.00 ₹5.22 83
50 g and 100 g are the same ₹5.40 per gram; 1 kg is only 3.3% cheaper. Buy Lavender
4
earthy root · heart and base · the dry one
Vetiver Fragrance Oil
The note that keeps a meditation line from going soft and sweet. The page describes it as "smoky, woody, and grounding with subtle green and sweet undertones" and states "Up to 10% for soy wax candles ... Up to 6% for paraffin wax candles"; it also calls it "A deeply earthy, IFRA-certified vetiver fragrance oil" (the page's wording). Two stock and price facts: the 1 kg is out of stock on 24 September 2026, and the 15 g costs ₹12.51 per gram against ₹7.08 at 50 g. Limitation: smoky vetiver divides people; test it on someone who is not you.
Size Price Per gram 150 g candles at 8%
15 gm ₹187.62 ₹12.51 1
50 gm ₹354.00 ₹7.08 4
100 gm ₹600.00 ₹6.00 8
500 gm ₹2,900.00 ₹5.80 41
1 kg ₹5,664.00 — Out of stock on 24 September 2026 ₹5.66 Out of stock
Oil per 8% candle: ₹84.96 at 50 g, ₹69.60 at 500 g — the dearest of the five at 50 g. Buy Vetiver
5
soft floral · heart · the quiet flower
British Rose Fragrance Oil
A floral that stays green and dewy instead of jammy. The page describes "fresh, dewy rose petals with subtle green undertones and a soft floral finish" and states "candles (up to 10% soy, up to 6% paraffin)". It is the least expensive oil on the list above 15 g and gets markedly cheaper with size: the 1 kg is 28% cheaper per gram than the 50 g, the steepest drop on this shortlist. Limitation: rose is a strong personality even when soft; in a meditation line it works best as one candle among woods, not as the lead.
Size Price Per gram 150 g candles at 8%
15 gm ₹94.40 ₹6.29 1
50 gm ₹212.40 ₹4.25 4
100 gm ₹342.20 ₹3.42 8
500 gm ₹1,593.00 ₹3.19 41
1 kg ₹3,068.00 ₹3.07 83
Oil per 8% candle: ₹50.98 at 50 g, ₹36.82 at 1 kg. Buy British Rose
Only buying two? Sandalwood and Palo Santo, ₹572.30 for 100 g: a creamy wood and a resin, the core of the category. Three? Add Lavender for ₹270.00, total ₹842.30. The full first-order basket, with wax, jars, wicks and a 15 g versus 50 g comparison, is in Buy Meditation Candle Fragrance Oils in India.

Vetiver ₹354.00 ₹7.08 ₹84.96 500 g (₹5.80); 1 kg out of stock
British Rose ₹212.40 ₹4.25 ₹50.98 Keeps falling to 1 kg (₹3.07)
Five-oil set ₹1,408.70 250 g of oil

Worked example, to put the oil in proportion: a Palo Santo candle at 8% in a 150 g Clear Glass Jar with Golden Lid costs ₹72.22 of oil + ₹70.02 of CSI 464 wax + ₹94.40 for the jar + ₹5.90 for a C1 wick = ₹242.54 in materials. The same candle in British Rose is ₹221.30. The difference between the dearest-but-one and cheapest oils on the list is ₹21.24 a candle, which is why we would choose meditation oils on scent and stock, not on price. Both figures exclude labour, freight, packaging and GST.

Argued against our own interest: you do not need all five to start a meditation line, and you should not buy any of them by the kilogram yet. Palo Santo is flat-priced from 50 g, so a 1 kg bottle buys you no per-gram saving at all; Sandalwood's per-gram price stops falling at 100 g. Buy 50 g, pour, burn, and scale the winner. How the per-gram ladders run for brands reordering at volume is in Wholesale Fragrance Oils for Meditation Candle Brands.

The resin and incense gap, stated plainly

If a buyer asks one thing of a meditation supplier, it is "do you have frankincense?" Here is our honest answer.

Resinous and incense notes are the heart of a traditional meditation or puja-adjacent candle, and CSI's range here is limited on 24 September 2026. We would rather tell you now than have you discover it at checkout. Five oils are relevant, and only one of them states a candle load.

Resin and incense oils · stock and page wording, 24 September 2026

Frankincense and Tonka Fragrance Oil (1kg) resinous frankincense with creamy tonka Not stated Out of stock on 24 September 2026

Sacred Sandal Ember reads, on its stated notes, like the ideal meditation oil: incense smoke over sandalwood and resin. But the only size in stock is 500 g at ₹3,999.00, the page does not state a candle load, and its description positions it for other product formats. Buying it means committing ₹3,698.10 more than a 50 g Palo Santo test before you know whether it performs in wax. One CSI customer left a four-star review of it (shown above), which tells you it has been used, not how it burns. If you want to try it, message us first and ask whether a smaller size is coming back.

Midnight Bakhoor Royale and Sultan's Smoke are smoky, oud-led incense accords. Both start at 100 g (₹799.00, ₹7.99 per gram) and neither states a candle load, so you are working only inside the wax ceiling (10% for CSI 464) and should test from 6% upwards. In our judgement they are darker than most meditation buyers want: more evening majlis than morning sit. A Palo Santo 50 g and a Midnight Bakhoor Royale 100 g side by side cost ₹1,099.90 and will tell you which direction your line should take.

What we will not do: call Palo Santo "frankincense", or suggest a blend "smells like temple incense". If resin is the centre of your brand and Palo Santo is not dark enough after testing, ask us on WhatsApp what is due back in stock rather than building a line around an oil you cannot reorder.

On stock generally: Mogra and Rajnigandha are also out of stock on 24 September 2026, which matters if you planned an Indian-floral meditation candle; the nearest in-stock white florals are Jasmine and Raat Ki Rani (Night-Blooming Jasmine). And for oud-lavender, the listing Lavender Oud – Calm Meets Kingdom is perfume-grade with no candle load stated, starts at 100 g (₹1,200.00), and its 500 g (₹6,200.00) is 3.3% dearer per gram than its 100 g — a fact to note before anyone orders the middle size.

The quiet-room test: judging a scent at sitting distance

A meditation candle is not tested from the doorway. It is tested from the cushion.

Most candle tests ask "can I smell it across the room?" That is the wrong question here. A candle that fills a hall is often too much in a small room with a person sitting still beside it for half an hour. This test asks two things instead: is the scent noticeable without being insistent at 1 to 1.5 metres, and does it stay the same scent for the length of a sitting? Soy-specific pouring, cure and wick adjustments are covered in Relaxing Fragrance Oils for Soy Candles; this is the judging method.

1
Pour three loads of each oil, not oneFor a 150 g candle: 6% = 9 g oil + 141 g wax, 8% = 12 g + 138 g, 10% = 15 g + 135 g, by weight. For Palo Santo that is ₹54.16, ₹72.22 and ₹90.27 of oil. The lower of the wax's stated ceiling and the oil page's maximum governs: 10% for CSI 464 and all five shortlisted oils.
2
Cure every candle for the same timeNone of the five pages states a cure time. At least 48–72 hours is common practice and a week is fairer to woods and resins, in our judgement; test at day 3 and day 7, and never compare candles of different ages.
3
Use a small room and a fixed seatA bedroom or study, door closed, fan off. Put the candle at 1 to 1.5 metres from where you sit, at the same spot for every test. That distance is the product.
4
Sit for thirty minutes and note three momentsAt 5, 15 and 30 minutes, write one word for the scent and a 1–5 score for how present it is (1 = barely there, 3 = noticeable when you breathe in, 5 = impossible to ignore). A good meditation candle usually lives at 2–3 and stays there.
5
Watch for drift and fatigueNote if the scent changes character (the citrus in Palo Santo fading, the rose turning powdery) or if you stop wanting it before the half hour. Drift is not always bad; fatigue is.
6
Keep the lowest load that scores 2–3 throughoutFor meditation, the winning load is often not the strongest. If 6% holds a steady 2–3 for thirty minutes, you have your load and a cheaper candle. Then ask someone else to sit the same test before you commit.
Wick note
Quiet oils need a full melt pool to release what they have. The C1 thin Eco Candle Wick is a starting point, not a prescription; if the pool has not reached the edge of the jar after two to three hours, try the Thick (C2). Jar diameters vary, so run a melt-pool test rather than trusting any chart, and see the Candle Wicks collection for the options.
Mistake: pushing a soft oil to 10% because "meditation candles need to smell". Fix: if 10% is still faint at sitting distance, the problem is usually wick or cure, not load. And if 10% makes you want to move the candle away, you have overshot. Max load is a ceiling, not a target.

A calendar note for planning: Diwali falls on 8 November 2026, 45 days after these prices were checked, and quiet sandalwood and palo santo candles are a natural fit for gifting that is not sweets or brass. Winter (roughly December to February) is the season of long evenings indoors. If you want either window, the test plan above takes about two weeks from pour to decision.

Diwali 8 November 2026 and winter gifting: test at 50 g this week, choose by mid-October, then scale the winner. Sandalwood 500 g is ₹2,513.40 for 41 candles at 8%. Ask us on WhatsApp for a 500 g and 1 kg quote with GST invoice and a dispatch date.

The CSI principle
Sell the scent and the setting. Never the effect.
A meditation candle earns trust by smelling exactly as its label says and staying quiet for as long as someone sits beside it. That is a promise a fragrance oil can keep.
"Choose meditation oils the way you would choose a room to sit in: nothing sharp, nothing sweet, nothing that asks to be noticed."

Why trust this guide

CandleMakingSuppliesIndia sells the fragrance oils, wax, jars and wicks named here, and does not sell finished candles. This page tells you where our range is thin (resin and incense), which sizes are out of stock, and where a bigger bottle is no cheaper per gram, because a meditation line built on an oil you cannot reorder is worse for you and for us.

Every price, pack size and per-gram figure was taken from CSI's live store and verified on 24 September 2026; out-of-stock sizes are flagged as out of stock on that date and never presented as buyable. Notes and candle loads are quoted from each product page, and where a page does not state a candle load, we say so. IFRA wording is reported as the page states it.

The palette map, the family groupings, which oils read "meditation" rather than "spa", and the quiet-room test are our judgement; CSI has no throw measurements for these oils and makes no claim that any scent has an effect on health, mood or sleep. For bulk pricing, GST invoicing, and MSDS and IFRA documentation on request, message us on WhatsApp at +91 7397976926.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best fragrance oil for meditation candles?
There is no single best one; the category is built from a palette of creamy woods, resin, earthy roots, herbal and soft floral notes. At CSI, Sandalwood is the most versatile starting point: single-note, creamy, in stock at every size and stated at up to 10% for soy. Pair it with Palo Santo for a resinous second candle.
Are fragrance oils the same as essential oils for candles?
No. Fragrance oils are formulated scent materials made for products such as candles; essential oils are distilled or pressed plant extracts. CSI's oils in this guide are fragrance oils, and your labels should say "fragrance oil", not "essential oil" or "aromatherapy".
Can I market a meditation candle as good for stress?
We would not. That is a health claim a scented candle cannot substantiate. Describe the scent and the occasion instead: "creamy sandalwood for a quiet morning" tells the customer what they are buying without promising an effect.
Does CSI sell frankincense fragrance oil for candles?
The listing Frankincense and Tonka Fragrance Oil (1kg) is out of stock on 24 September 2026. The in-stock resinous option with a stated candle load is Palo Santo ("Up to 10% for soy wax"). Sacred Sandal Ember, Midnight Bakhoor Royale and Sultan's Smoke are incense-style oils in stock in some sizes, but their pages do not state a candle load.
How much fragrance oil for a 150 g meditation candle?
Test 6%, 8% and 10% of total weight: 9 g, 12 g and 15 g of oil with 141 g, 138 g and 135 g of wax. For a candle judged at sitting distance, the lowest load that stays noticeable for thirty minutes is usually the right one.
Is vetiver fragrance oil available in 1 kg?
Not on 24 September 2026: Vetiver's 1 kg is out of stock. The 15 g (₹187.62), 50 g (₹354.00), 100 g (₹600.00) and 500 g (₹2,900.00) are in stock. Skip the 15 g if you can; it costs ₹12.51 per gram against ₹7.08 at 50 g.
Your meditation shortlist
Five families, five oils, ₹1,408.70 at 50 g.
Sandalwood, Palo Santo, Lavender, Vetiver and British Rose: every page states a candle load topping out at 10%, every one in stock at 50 g on 24 September 2026. Pour three loads, sit with each, keep the quiet winners.

It defines the meditation-candle scent palette by family, maps it to CSI oils in stock, names a five-oil shortlist and sets out language to use and avoid. Wax ceiling: Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464 up to 10% as stated on its page; ceilings are formulation limits, not regulatory limits. Notes, candle loads and IFRA wording are quoted from each oil's product page. Per-candle costs are worked examples and exclude labour, freight, packaging and GST. Diwali (8 November 2026) is a calendar date; winter months are approximate. The palette map, family groupings and quiet-room test are editorial judgement.
