How premium oils are sold

For this page, a premium oil is one of two things. Either its in-stock 1 kg costs ₹6.50 a gram or more (32 oils), or its 1 kg is unavailable and its cheapest in-stock size per gram is still ₹6.50 or more (9 oils). That gives 41 premium oils, from Neroli and Saffron Cedarwood up to the perfume-inspired oils. The table shows how many of them can be bought at each size today, and what they cost.

Two things stand out. First, the 50 g is the real entry size for premium oils. It is in stock for 37 of the 41, against 15 for the 15 g. Second, the 500 g is patchy: only 25 premium oils have one in stock, and several never list it. If your plan depends on buying 500 g, check the product page first. Premium oils are also where the price range is widest. At 100 g, premium oils run from ₹665.52 to ₹2,406.00. That top price belongs to Club De Nuit Intense Inspired, which costs ₹24.06 a gram. Buying 100 g of it gives you 6.25 candles at 16 g each, so a first test of the dearest inspired-by oils is a real spend. Cost it before you add it to the basket. The cheapest way into each oil

The table lists every premium oil with an in-stock 15 g, cheapest first, with its per-gram price at 15 g and at 100 g. The last column is the tester premium: how much more you pay per gram to buy the small size.

The tester premium runs from −0.6% to 23.8%. At the low end, Saffron Cedarwood's 15 g actually costs slightly less per gram than its 100 g. At the high end, Raat Ki Rani's 15 g costs almost a quarter more. Either way the premium is worth paying at the testing stage. A 15 g is the cheapest way to find out whether an oil belongs in your range, and scents one 200 g candle at 7.5% or three 50 g pots. It is the most expensive way to produce, though. Pour a whole batch from 15 g bottles and every candle carries the premium. Once an oil passes its test, move it to 100 g at least.

For the other 26 premium oils, the entry size is larger. 22 start at 50 g, including Orange No.3 (₹402.00), Coffee Vanilla Tobacco (₹449.00) and the inspired-by oils such as Delina (Parfums De Marly Inspired) (₹598.00). 3 start at 100 g: Smoked Rose Royale, Midnight Bakhoor Royale, Sultan's Smoke, each at ₹799.00. Sacred Sandal Ember can only be bought as a 500 g (₹3,999.00) on the pull date. That is a real commitment for an oil you have not tested, so ask on WhatsApp whether the 100 g is due back.

What you cannot buy today

Seven oils in the wider collection have no size in stock at all: Rajnigandha (Tuberose), Spiced Rum, Mogra, Baccarat Rouge 540 Inspired, Regal Royal Oud, Frankincense and Tonka (1 kg), Acqua Di Gio Inspired. Several of them would sit in the premium tier. If one of them is the scent your brand was built around, message CSI on WhatsApp for a restock date before you print labels. Do not build a launch on a restock you have not had confirmed.

Sizing a first luxury order

Here is a worked launch. Thirty candles, three scents, ten of each, poured into the 200 ml Salsa Glass Jar with golden lug cap. That jar's wax fill weight is not published, and 200 ml of soy wax weighs less than 200 g, so we use an illustrative 170 g fill. Weigh your own before you buy. At 8%, each candle holds 13.6 g of oil and 156.4 g of wax, so each scent needs 136 g of oil for ten candles, or 142.8 g with a 5% allowance for pour loss and test burns (a working assumption).

The 100 g plus 50 g combination covers each scent with a little left for a reorder test, and costs ₹3,475.00 across all three. Buying 500 g of Raat Ki Rani and Vanilla Bean instead would cost ₹7,227.00 for two scents and leave you with enough for another 30-odd candles each. That only makes sense if you already know they will sell. Orange No.3 has no 500 g listed, so its next step up is the 1 kg at ₹8,032.00.

The rest of the order follows the same logic. Wax: 30 × 156.4 g is 4.692 kg, or 4.93 kg with 5%, so the 5 kg pack of Luxury Soy Wax Chunks at ₹2,995.00 is the right size. It costs exactly the same per kilo as five 1 kg packs. Jars: the Salsa jar costs ₹200.60 for 5 (₹40.12 each) or ₹1,475.00 for 50 (₹29.50 each). For 30 jars, six 5-packs cost ₹1,203.60, which is less than one 50-pack. The 50-pack only wins once you need 37 jars or more. Wicks: Cotton Braided Wicks are ₹12.00 each at every pack size, so buy what you need.

The gap between the two rows is ₹3.07 a candle. That is the entire saving the kilo would bring on this oil, and it applies only once you are selling enough to use a kilo. Material cost excludes labour, packaging, freight and GST.

Ask for the paperwork on the same message. A GST invoice matters if you are registered. MSDS and IFRA documentation matter as soon as you sell to a stockist, a hotel or corporate buyer, or a marketplace that asks for them. Fragrance-load decisions should follow the oil's IFRA certificate and the wax maker's stated maximum, not a figure from a forum. Luxury Soy Wax Chunks are rated up to 13% and CSI 464 up to 10%. The launch order, line by line

That is ₹8,033.60, or ₹267.79 a candle in materials, before labour, packaging, freight and GST. It leaves about 14 g of each oil for a reorder test and roughly 300 g of wax. It assumes the three oils have already passed a test from their entry sizes. If they have not, add that test first: ₹130.00 and ₹130.00 for the two 15 g testers and ₹402.00 for the Orange No.3 50 g.
