CSI Collection Buying · Seasonal
A seasonal candle line that works is not twelve unrelated launches. It is three capsules — summer, monsoon, winter — with the same four slots every time. Here are the twelve CSI oils that fill it and what the kits cost.
₹3,449.62
twelve seasonal oils × 50 g — the full launch kit · CSI live pricing, September 2026
Quick answers — read this first
What is a seasonal fragrance oil collection? A candle line that changes with the Indian year — summer (roughly April to June), the southwest monsoon (roughly June to September) and winter (roughly December to February, with Diwali on 8 November 2026 opening the gifting season) — but keeps the same structure every time. We build it as three capsules of four candles, each capsule with the same four slots: signature, fresh, soft and deep.

Which CSI oils fill it? Twelve, all in stock at every listed size on 24 September 2026: Peach Melon Berry, Lemongrass and Lime, Fresh Strawberries and Mango Coconut for summer; Gilli Mitti, Eucalyptus Spearmint, Raat Ki Rani and Roasted Coffee for monsoon; Autumn, Bergamot Amber, British Rose and Dark Vanilla for winter.

What does it cost to start? A nose kit of all twelve at 15 g is ₹1,259.92. A launch kit of all twelve at 50 g, enough to load-test every oil, is ₹3,449.62. A single capsule at 50 g costs between ₹1,015.42 and ₹1,260.40.

Which capsule first? Winter, if you are reading this in late September: Diwali is 45 days away. Summer and monsoon can be built over the winter months for launch in April and June 2027.
The short answer
The structure: three capsules × four slots = twelve candles a year. The slots stay fixed; the oils change with the season.
The slots: Signature (names the season), Fresh (light and easy), Soft (floral or fruity, the gift), Deep (the evening, heavier base).
The kits: nose kit ₹1,259.92; launch kit ₹3,449.62; capsule production kits from ₹3,556.20 (65 candles' worth of oil).
The look: one jar colour per capsule, same 150 gram fill, so the candle maths never changes.

Mango Coconut's page states no candle load: test it inside the wax ceiling. All twelve at 50 g: ₹3,449.62. Slot assignments are editorial judgement, not product-page claims.
The collection map. Read across a row and you see the same job done three ways through the year; read down a column and you see one capsule. The signature slot carries each season's name, which is why it is the one you buy in 500 g first.
Straight answer
I run a candle business and want a seasonal collection. How should it be built, and what does it cost to set up with CSI oils?
Build it as three capsules — summer, monsoon, winter — of four candles each, and give every capsule the same four slots: a signature that names the season, a fresh one, a soft floral or fruity one, and a deep evening one. Customers learn the pattern once and then shop every season by slot ("I always buy the deep one"). Fill the slots from CSI's stock: summer Peach Melon Berry, Lemongrass and Lime, Fresh Strawberries, Mango Coconut (₹1,015.42 at 50 g); monsoon Gilli Mitti, Eucalyptus Spearmint, Raat Ki Rani, Roasted Coffee (₹1,260.40); winter Autumn, Bergamot Amber, British Rose, Dark Vanilla (₹1,173.80). Start with a 15 g nose kit of all twelve (₹1,259.92) if you are still choosing, or go straight to the 50 g launch kit (₹3,449.62) if you are ready to load-test. Launch winter first, since Diwali is 8 November 2026, and build the other two over the cold months.
One line: fix the slots, rotate the oils, give each season a jar colour, and launch one capsule at a time.
The winter capsule is the one to buy this month. Autumn, Bergamot Amber, British Rose and Dark Vanilla at 50 g cost ₹1,173.80 together, all in stock on 24 September 2026. Autumn is the signature: ₹271.40 for 50 g, page load 7–11%.

The architecture: three capsules, four slots

A seasonal collection fails when every season is a new shop. It works when every season is the same shop with new stock.

In our experience, many small candle brands that "go seasonal" end up with a pile of unrelated launches: six summer scents one year, two monsoon scents the next, a winter range that shares nothing with either. Each launch needs new labels, new photography and new explanations, and customers cannot tell which candle is the "same kind" as the one they liked last season. An architecture fixes that. You decide the shape of the collection once and fill it three times a year.

The shape we recommend is four slots per capsule. Four is enough to give a customer a real choice between light and heavy, sweet and not, without turning each launch into a twelve-oil testing project. Three capsules match the three seasons most Indian buyers feel: the hot months, the rains, and the cold months with their festivals. That makes twelve candles a year, which a small workshop can actually produce, photograph and keep in stock.

The four slots · what each must do
Every capsule answers the same four questions
Slot Its job in the capsule The test it must pass Buy first at
Signature Names the season. The candle in the photograph, the one a new customer buys first. A stranger smells it cold and names the season without being told. 50 g to test, then 500 g
Fresh The light, easy option for small rooms, offices and people who find scented candles too strong. Still pleasant after two hours in a closed room. 50 g, then 100 g
Soft Floral or fruity. The gift, the one bought for someone else. Liked by someone who is not your usual customer. 50 g, then 100 g
Deep The evening candle: heavier base notes, woods, vanilla, coffee, amber. Base notes still there after the candle is blown out. 50 g, then 100 g

Why fixed slots help you sell

Fixed slots let you write one product-page template, one label layout and one price ladder, and reuse them all year. They let a customer who loved the deep candle in winter find the deep candle in monsoon without reading notes. They also stop a collection drifting sweet: if every capsule must have a fresh slot, you cannot quietly fill a whole winter range with vanilla. How to name and describe a line so it reads as a brand is a wider topic, but the principle here is simple — the slot is the promise, the oil is the season's answer to it.

Why not a year-round core as well?

Many brands add a small permanent core of best-sellers alongside the seasonal capsules, and that can be sensible. Deciding which oils earn a permanent place, which rotate and which carry over between two seasons is its own decision, covered in Which Fragrance Oils Should a Candle Brand Stock for Summer, Monsoon and Winter?. This page is about the seasonal line itself: its shape, its oils and what it costs to set up.

Argued against our own interest: we would sell more oil if we told you to launch six scents per season. Don't. Eighteen seasonal scents a year means eighteen load tests, eighteen labels and eighteen chances of dead stock. Four per capsule is enough to feel like a collection and small enough to sell through.

The three capsules, slot by slot

Each table lists the stated notes from the product page, the candle load wording, and the 15 g and 50 g prices on 24 September 2026. Every size of all twelve oils was in stock on that date. Slot assignments are our judgement. For the ranked, best-of view within each season, the sibling guides are Best Fragrance Oils for Summer Candles in India, Best Fragrance Oils for Monsoon Candles in India and Best Fragrance Oils for Winter Candles in India.

Summer capsule · roughly April to June

The Indian summer asks for scents that feel cool and bright in a hot room: juicy fruit, citrus and herbs, with creaminess used carefully. The summer capsule leans fruity because that is what reads "holiday" to most buyers, and keeps one sharp, green option for those who want the opposite.

Summer capsule · CSI live pricing 24 September 2026

Slot Oil Stated notes (from the page) Candle load 15 g 50 g
Signature Peach Melon Berry juicy peach, ripe cantaloupe; strawberry, watermelon; vanilla, coconut 8–10% stated ₹81.42 ₹223.02
Fresh Lemongrass and Lime zesty lime, lemongrass; light ginger, herbal; cedarwood, soft musk 6–10% stated ₹116.52 ₹330.00
Soft Fresh Strawberries ripe strawberry, citrus zest; rose, honeydew; vanilla sugar, sandalwood 6–9% stated ₹113.28 ₹212.40
Deep Mango Coconut ripe mango with creamy coconut no load stated ₹93.22 ₹250.00
Capsule 4 oils ₹404.44 ₹1,015.42

Monsoon capsule · roughly June to September

The monsoon capsule is where an Indian brand can be most distinctive. Gilli Mitti — the smell of first rain on dry earth — is a scent almost every Indian customer recognises, and CSI's page describes it as evoking "petrichor". Around it sit a cool, green option, a night-blooming jasmine for the soft slot and coffee for rainy evenings indoors. How the rains affect curing and which monsoon oils rank highest are covered in Best Fragrance Oils for Monsoon Candles in India.

Fresh Eucalyptus Spearmint crisp eucalyptus with cool spearmint up to 10% stated ₹68.44 ₹212.40
Soft Raat Ki Rani green stems, fresh ozone; night-blooming jasmine, white florals; soft amber, musk 6–10% stated ₹130.00 ₹370.00
Deep Roasted Coffee coffee bean; dark chocolate, espresso; vanilla, caramel 6–10% stated ₹93.22 ₹230.00
Capsule 4 oils ₹431.66 ₹1,260.40

Winter capsule · Diwali to February

The winter capsule has to work twice: as a gift at Diwali (8 November 2026) and Christmas (25 December 2026), and as a cosy candle through the cold months, roughly December to February. So it carries spice for the season's signature, a citrus-amber for buyers who want warmth without sweetness, a rose for gifting, and a dark vanilla for the evening. The dated winter buying plan, with order-by dates and production baskets, is in Buy Winter Candle Fragrance Oils in India.

Winter capsule · CSI live pricing 24 September 2026
Spice, amber, rose and vanilla
Slot Oil Stated notes (from the page) Candle load 15 g 50 g
Signature Autumn red apple, cinnamon leaf, orange zest; maple, clove, nutmeg; oak, amber, vanilla 7–11% stated ₹94.40 ₹271.40
Fresh Bergamot Amber bergamot, citrus; warm amber, soft floral; woody musk, vanilla 6–10% stated ₹105.02 ₹280.00
Soft British Rose fresh, dewy rose petals with subtle green undertones up to 10% stated ₹94.40 ₹212.40
Deep Dark Vanilla vanilla, spice; caramel, cream; dark amber, warm musk 6–10% stated ₹130.00 ₹410.00
Capsule 4 oils ₹423.82 ₹1,173.80
Keep the slots honest
When you swap an oil in or out, check it still does its slot's job. A "fresh" oil with a heavy vanilla base is not fresh, and a "deep" oil that vanishes at blow-out is not deep. The four tests in the slot table are quicker than a full evaluation and catch most mismatches.

Six oils that carry the collection

Three signatures and three supporting oils. If these six work, the collection works.

These are the six oils we would load-test first, because the collection's identity depends on them: the three signatures plus the three oils that give each capsule its contrast. They are ordered by capsule, not ranked. We have no throw measurements and do not invent any; the comparison is on stated notes, stated load, price per gram and stock. Candle counts assume 150 g at 8% (12 g of oil).

1
summer · signature · fruity
Peach Melon Berry
The summer signature because it is unmistakably fruit and unmistakably summer: "Top Notes: Juicy peach, ripe cantaloupe | Heart Notes: Sweet strawberry, succulent watermelon | Base Notes: Creamy vanilla, hint of coconut". The page says "we recommend using 8-10% fragrance oil per weight of wax"; we apply it as a percentage of total candle weight, like every other load on this page, and test 6% as a control. It is also one of the least expensive oils in the collection. Limitation: the vanilla-coconut base makes it sweet. That is why the summer capsule needs Lemongrass and Lime beside it.
Size Price Per gram 150 g candles at 8%
15 g ₹81.42 ₹5.43 1
50 g ₹223.02 ₹4.46 4
100 g ₹417.72 ₹4.18 8
500 g ₹2,088.60 ₹4.18 41
1 kg ₹4,177.20 ₹4.18 83
Oil per 8% candle: ₹53.52 at 50 g; the 1 kg is 6.3% cheaper per gram. Buy Peach Melon Berry
2
summer · fresh · green herbal
Lemongrass and Lime
The summer counterweight: sharp, green and not sweet. Stated notes: "zesty lime and fresh lemongrass top notes, light ginger and herbal middle notes, and subtle cedarwood and soft musk base". The page states "Recommended fragrance load 6-10% for candles" and describes it as "IFRA-certified" (the page's wording; ask for documents on WhatsApp). The cedar-musk base also makes it a candidate to carry into monsoon. Limitation: it is dearer per gram than the fruity summer oils at every size; the price drops by 21.2% from 50 g to 500 g, but it stays the capsule's dearest oil.
Size Price Per gram 150 g candles at 8%
15 g ₹116.52 ₹7.77 1
50 g ₹330.00 ₹6.60 4
100 g ₹590.00 ₹5.90 8
500 g ₹2,600.00 ₹5.20 41
1 kg ₹5,200.00 ₹5.20 83
Oil per 8% candle: ₹79.20 at 50 g, ₹62.40 at 500 g; 1 kg is 21.2% cheaper per gram than 50 g. Buy Lemongrass and Lime
3
monsoon · signature · petrichor
Gilli Mitti (Patchouli)
The most distinctly Indian oil in the collection. The page describes "fresh rain, soft soil, natural patchouli, damp woods, and light musk. Evokes petrichor - the scent of rain on dry earth", calls it "IFRA-certified", and states "The recommended fragrance load is 6-10% for candles". A verified buyer called Gilli Mitti "amazing and authentic". Limitation: it is priced flat at ₹8.96 per gram from 50 g to 1 kg, the dearest per gram in the collection, and bulk does not bring the price down. Price the monsoon signature candle accordingly.
Size Price Per gram 150 g candles at 8%
15 g ₹140.00 ₹9.33 1
50 g ₹448.00 ₹8.96 4
100 g ₹896.00 ₹8.96 8
500 g ₹4,480.00 ₹8.96 41
1 kg ₹8,960.00 ₹8.96 83
Oil per 8% candle: ₹107.52 at every size from 50 g up. No bulk discount per gram. Buy Gilli Mitti
4
monsoon · soft · night floral
Raat Ki Rani (Night-Blooming Jasmine) Fragrance Oil
A white floral with an Indian name for the monsoon gift slot. Stated notes: "Top Notes: Green Stems, Fresh Ozone | Middle Notes: Night-Blooming Jasmine, White Florals | Base Notes: Soft Amber, Musk"; the page states "Recommended fragrance load is 6-10% for candles". The green, ozonic top suits wet evenings better than a heavy, sweet jasmine would. Limitation: it is one of the dearer oils here at small sizes; if you are unsure, the plain Jasmine Fragrance Oil is cheaper, though less specific.
Size Price Per gram 150 g candles at 8%
15 g ₹130.00 ₹8.67 1
50 g ₹370.00 ₹7.40 4
100 g ₹700.00 ₹7.00 8
500 g ₹3,387.00 ₹6.77 41
1 kg ₹6,774.00 ₹6.77 83
Oil per 8% candle: ₹88.80 at 50 g; the 1 kg is 8.5% cheaper per gram. Buy Raat Ki Rani
5
winter · signature · spiced fruit
Autumn
The winter signature because it tells the whole season in one candle: "crisp red apple, cinnamon leaf, and orange zest top notes, golden maple, clove bud, and nutmeg middle notes, and warm oak, amber, and vanilla base". The page states "Recommended fragrance load 7-11% for candles"; with Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464 (stated up to 10%) the wax ceiling governs, so test 7%, 8% and 10%. Its one published review is 3 stars ("Warm comforting fragrance"), which we show as it is. Limitation: it is priced flat at ₹5.43 per gram from 50 g upward, so bulk brings no saving.
Size Price Per gram 150 g candles at 8%
15 g ₹94.40 ₹6.29 1
50 g ₹271.40 ₹5.43 4
100 g ₹542.80 ₹5.43 8
500 g ₹2,714.00 ₹5.43 41
1 kg ₹5,428.00 ₹5.43 83
Oil per 8% candle: ₹65.14 at every size from 50 g up. Buy Autumn
6
winter · deep · gourmand
Dark Vanilla Fragrance
The evening candle of the winter capsule. Stated notes: "rich vanilla and spice opening into deep caramel and cream, settling into dark amber and warm musk"; the page states "candles (6-10%)". A verified review calls it "One of the best fragrance oils". It gives the capsule a sweet, dark anchor against Bergamot Amber's brightness. Limitation: it is the second-dearest oil in the collection per gram, and a gourmand-heavy winter range can tip into dessert; one vanilla per capsule is enough.
Size Price Per gram 150 g candles at 8%
15 g ₹130.00 ₹8.67 1
50 g ₹410.00 ₹8.20 4
100 g ₹790.00 ₹7.90 8
500 g ₹3,840.00 ₹7.68 41
1 kg ₹7,646.00 ₹7.65 83
Oil per 8% candle: ₹98.40 at 50 g, ₹91.75 at 1 kg (6.8% less per gram). Buy Dark Vanilla
This architecture suits: candle businesses selling through their own website, Instagram, markets or a small stockist list who want a reason for customers to come back every season. It suits less well: a brand selling one hero scent in volume to corporate buyers; for that, a seasonal line is a distraction.

Three priced kits

One collection, three ways to buy into it. Each kit answers a different question.

All three kits are built from CSI's live prices on 24 September 2026. None is a pre-packed CSI product: they are shopping lists you place as one order, or message us on WhatsApp to confirm stock and dispatch in one go.

Kit What is in it Oil cost Per gram What it answers
1 · Nose kit All twelve oils at 15 g (180 g) ₹1,259.92 ₹7.00 Do I like these oils? Do the slots feel right cold? One 8% candle per oil at most.
2 · Launch kit All twelve oils at 50 g (600 g) ₹3,449.62 ₹5.75 Which load works for each oil? 6%, 8% and 10% of every oil, plus a retest candle.
3a · Summer production Peach Melon Berry 500 g + three others at 100 g ₹3,556.20 ₹54.71 per candle 65 candles at 8%: 41 signatures + 8 of each other slot.
3b · Monsoon production Gilli Mitti 500 g + three others at 100 g ₹5,924.00 ₹91.14 per candle As above, for the monsoon capsule.
3c · Winter production Autumn 500 g + three others at 100 g ₹4,406.20 ₹67.79 per candle As above, for the winter capsule.

Kit 1 — the nose kit, ₹1,259.92

Twelve 15 g bottles, one per slot, for smelling the whole collection side by side before you commit. Smell them by row, not by column: all four signatures together, then all four fresh oils, and so on. You are checking that each slot does the same job across seasons. The nose kit is the dearest route per gram, and a 15 g bottle makes only one 150 g candle at 8%, so it cannot tell you what load an oil needs. Buy it only if you are genuinely undecided about more than half the collection.

Kit 2 — the launch kit, ₹3,449.62

Twelve 50 g bottles: enough to pour every oil at 6%, 8% and 10% in a 150 g jar (36 g) and keep 14 g for a retest candle. It costs ₹2,189.70 more than the nose kit for 420 g more oil. Add 7 kg of Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464, 50 Clear Glass Jars with Golden Lid (150 gram) and 50 Eco Candle Wicks, Thin (C1) (₹8,566.80) and the full launch kit comes to ₹12,016.42 for 48 test candles. If you are launching only one capsule this season, buy just that capsule's four 50 g bottles.

Kit 3 — capsule production kits, from ₹3,556.20

Once a capsule has passed its load tests, the production kit buys the signature in 500 g (41 candles at 8%) and the other three slots in 100 g (8 candles each): 65 candles, weighted towards the candle that sells the capsule. All three together come to ₹13,886.40. We deliberately stop at 500 g and 100 g here. When to buy kilograms, how much to hold per season, and when to reorder are inventory decisions, covered in I Want to Launch Different Candle Collections for Summer, Monsoon and Winter — How Should I Plan My Fragrance Oil Inventory? and, for manufacturers, Bulk Seasonal Fragrance Oils for Candle Manufacturers.

Mistake: buying all three production kits at once to "set up the collection". Fix: the capsules sell months apart. Buy the winter kit for this winter; buy summer in March and monsoon in May, after winter has shown you what your customers actually reorder. We sell all three kits; we would rather you bought them in the order you can sell them.

Giving each capsule its own look, and what a candle costs

A capsule should be recognisable across a room before anyone smells it. The simplest way is a jar colour per season with an identical fill, so your pour sheet, wick choice and candle maths stay the same all year. CSI lists 150 gram jars with golden lids in clear, pink and orange, among others. We use pink for summer, clear for monsoon (the season of glass and water) and orange for winter.

One jar family, three colours · CSI live pricing 24 September 2026
Same 150 gram fill, different season
Capsule Jar Pack price Per jar
Summer Pink Glass Jar with Golden Lid (150 gram) ₹1,070.00 / 10 · ₹2,140.00 / 20 ₹107.00
Monsoon Clear Glass Jar with Golden Lid (150 gram) ₹944.00 / 10 · ₹1,888.00 / 20 ₹94.40
Winter Orange Glass Jar with Golden Lid (150 gram) ₹1,070.00 / 10 · ₹2,140.00 / 20 ₹107.00

The coloured jars cost ₹12.60 more per jar than the clear one, and the pack of 20 is no cheaper per jar than the pack of 10 (₹107.00). That is worth knowing before you choose colour for a high-volume capsule.

Signature candle cost by capsule

Worked examples, 150 g at 8% in CSI 464 (₹70.02 of wax at ₹0.51 per gram), one C1 wick (₹5.90), oil at the 500 g price, excluding labour, freight, packaging and GST:

Signature candle materials · worked example
What each season's hero costs to make
Capsule Signature oil (12 g) Wax (138 g) Jar Wick Total
Summer Peach Melon Berry ₹50.13 ₹70.02 ₹107.00 ₹5.90 ₹233.05
Monsoon Gilli Mitti ₹107.52 ₹70.02 ₹94.40 ₹5.90 ₹277.84
Winter Autumn ₹65.14 ₹70.02 ₹107.00 ₹5.90 ₹248.06

The monsoon signature carries ₹57.39 more oil cost than the summer one, but the clear jar claws some of it back. Some brands price all twelve candles the same to keep the collection simple; if you do, set the price from the dearest capsule, not the cheapest. How material cost maps to a retail price for a premium candle is a separate calculation in other clusters of this series.

Wick note
Changing jar colour does not change the wick, but changing the oil can. The C1 wick is a starting point, not a prescription. Run a melt-pool test for each capsule's heaviest oil (Dark Vanilla, Roasted Coffee, Gilli Mitti) and move to Thick (C2) or a Cotton Braided wick from the Candle Wicks collection if the pool has not reached the glass in two to three hours.

Building the collection, step by step

This sequence takes you from an empty architecture to a first capsule on sale. It is written for a small workshop; a larger team can run steps 2 and 3 for two capsules in parallel.

1
Write the four slot promises in one line eachBefore buying anything, decide what your signature, fresh, soft and deep candles promise, in words you would print on a card. These lines become the label copy for all three capsules.
2
Buy the capsule you will launch next, at 50 gFor most readers today that is winter: ₹1,173.80 for the four oils. If you are unsure about the whole year, add the nose kit for the other two capsules so you can smell ahead.

Load-test each oil at three loads6%, 8% and 10% in a 150 g candle (9 g, 12 g and 15 g of oil), within the lower of the oil page's stated maximum and the wax's. Cure every candle for the same time; only Bergamot Amber's page states a cure (48–72 hours), so as a judgement compare at day 3 and day 7.
4
Check each oil against its slot testCan a stranger name the season from the signature? Is the fresh one pleasant after two hours in a closed room? Does someone outside your usual customer base like the soft one? Is the deep one still there after blow-out? Swap any oil that fails its slot.
5
Name the candles by slot and season, never by a brand"Monsoon · Deep" or a name of your own, never a perfume house or retailer. If an oil is sold by CSI under a brand-inspired listing name, that name stays off your label.
6
Buy the production kit and launch one capsuleSignature at 500 g, the rest at 100 g. Photograph the four together in their capsule jar colour. Only then start testing the next capsule.

A worked starting order for the winter capsule — four oils at 50 g, 3 kg of CSI 464, a pack of 20 orange jars and 20 C1 wicks — comes to ₹4,954.00, before freight and GST. That is enough for a full load test of the capsule (12 candles), a retest candle per oil, and four jars in hand for a photograph set.

Gaps, substitutions and what we would not do

Every collection has holes. Better to know them before you design around them.

Indian white florals are thin on stock. Mogra and Rajnigandha (Tuberose) are both out of stock on 24 September 2026, which is why the monsoon soft slot uses Raat Ki Rani. If Mogra matters to your brand, ask us on WhatsApp before you design a capsule around it.

Petrichor has one oil. Gilli Mitti is the only CSI oil whose page describes the smell of rain on dry earth. Vetiver Fragrance Oil is a smoky, earthy alternative for the monsoon deep slot, but its 1 kg is out of stock on 24 September 2026.

Citronella is a scent, not a function. Citronella Fragrance Oil could fill a monsoon fresh slot (lemon, lemongrass, green herb, wood), and at ₹2.89 per gram at 1 kg it is very cheap. Sell it only as a fragrance. CSI makes no pest-related claims for it, and neither should your label.

Mango Coconut states no candle load. Its page describes it as "IFRA-certified" but gives no candle load, so test it inside your wax's own ceiling (10% for CSI 464) and start at 6%. If you would rather every slot had a stated load, Honeydew Melon is also silent on load; Blue Ocean Fragrance Oil states "candles (up to 10%)" and could fill a summer fresh or deep role.

Perfume-grade fruits are not candle-grade bargains. Sparkling Fruit, Royal Apricot and the Grapefruit Oleo quote 25%, 20% and 15% usage rates on their pages; those are perfume rates, not candle loads, and none states a candle load. Grapefruit Oleo's 50 g and 1 kg are out of stock on 24 September 2026.

What we would not do: fill a seasonal capsule with brand-inspired listings. CSI's store includes oils sold under names such as "Freshwater Fragrance Oil Bath and Body Works Inspired" — that is CSI's product listing name; the oil is an interpretation, CSI is not affiliated with the brand, and its 500 g and 1 kg are out of stock on 24 September 2026. At ₹11.98 per gram at 50 g it also costs more than twice the per-gram price of most oils in this collection. A seasonal line should be yours, not a borrowed name.
Launch the winter capsule before Diwali, 8 November 2026. Four oils at 50 g for ₹1,173.80, then Autumn at 500 g for the production run. Ask us on WhatsApp for a quote with GST invoice and dispatch date; build summer (April 2027) and monsoon (June 2027) over the winter.

The CSI principle
Fix the shape, rotate the scent.
Customers return to a collection they understand. Four fixed slots, three seasons and one jar colour per season give them something to understand, and give you one label, one price ladder and one pour sheet for the whole year.
"A seasonal collection is not twelve new candles a year. It is four promises, kept three times."

Why trust this guide

CandleMakingSuppliesIndia sells the oils, wax, jars and wicks named here, and does not sell finished candles. This page recommends fewer scents per season than we could sell you, tells you to buy capsule kits months apart, and names oils we would not use.

Every price, pack size and per-gram figure was taken from CSI's live store and verified on 24 September 2026. All twelve collection oils were in stock at every listed size on that date; out-of-stock products elsewhere on the page are flagged as out of stock on that date. Notes, candle loads and IFRA wording are quoted from each product page, and where a page states no candle load we say so.

The four-slot architecture, the slot assignments, the jar colours and the kit structure are our judgement, and the candle costs are worked examples. For bulk pricing, GST invoicing, and MSDS and IFRA documentation on request, message us on WhatsApp at +91 7397976926.

Frequently asked questions

How many scents should a seasonal candle collection have?
For a small or growing brand, four per season is enough: a signature, a fresh option, a soft floral or fruity gift, and a deep evening candle. Three seasons of four gives twelve candles a year, which a small workshop can test, produce and keep in stock.
What fragrance oils are good for a monsoon candle collection in India?
A monsoon capsule built from CSI stock: Gilli Mitti (Patchouli) as the petrichor signature, Eucalyptus Spearmint as the fresh option, Raat Ki Rani (Night-Blooming Jasmine) as the soft floral and Roasted Coffee as the deep evening candle. At 50 g the four cost ₹1,260.40.
How much does it cost to set up a seasonal candle range?
At CSI prices on 24 September 2026, twelve oils at 15 g for sniffing cost ₹1,259.92; twelve at 50 g for proper load testing cost ₹3,449.62. With 7 kg of soy wax, 50 jars and 50 wicks, the full launch kit is ₹12,016.42, before freight and GST.
Which season should I launch first for a candle business?
The one that arrives next. In late September that is winter: Diwali is 8 November 2026 and Christmas 25 December 2026. Build summer (roughly April to June) and monsoon (roughly June to September) over the winter months.
Should seasonal candles use different jars?
A different colour with the same fill works well: the capsule is recognisable on the shelf, and your wax, oil and wick maths stay identical. CSI lists 150 gram jars with golden lids in clear (₹94.40 each from a pack of 10) and in pink or orange (₹107.00 each).
Is Gilli Mitti fragrance oil worth the price for candles?
It is the dearest oil in this collection per gram, flat at ₹8.96 from 50 g to 1 kg, so bulk brings no saving. It is also the only CSI oil whose page describes petrichor. For a monsoon signature we think it earns its place; price the candle from its real cost (₹277.84 in materials in our worked example).
