Bulk Fragrance Oils for Commercial Paraffin Candles
शेयर करना
Is 500 g or 1 kg better for bulk? For these four oils, 500 g and 1 kg cost the same or nearly the same per gram, so buy the mix that matches your usage. Across the collection, the 1 kg is within ±1% of the 100 g for 52 of 91 oils; bulk mostly buys stock security.
When should I reorder bulk fragrance? Set a reorder point. In our example each scent uses 1,360 g a month, and we reorder when stock falls to one month of cover. Delivery times are not published here, so set your own cover on WhatsApp confirmation.
How should bulk fragrance oil be stored? In general practice, closed, in the original container, away from heat and sunlight, and labelled with the date received. Flash point matters for storage and transport; it is on the oil's MSDS, which CSI supplies on request.
Why bulk is a stock decision
On CSI's listed catalogue, the per-gram price of most oils stops falling at 50 g or 100 g. Across the collection, 52 of the 91 oils listing both 100 g and 1 kg sit within ±1% per gram, and only 24 show a 1 kg saving of 5% or more. So a commercial maker buying 500 g and 1 kg packs is usually paying the same rate as a maker buying 100 g. What the bigger packs buy is continuity: fewer orders, less chance of a size selling out, and a line you can keep producing through the festive season.
That changes how you plan. Instead of asking which pack is cheapest, ask how many weeks of production you want in stock for each scent, and what happens if one scent runs out. A commercial paraffin line that sells four scents cannot tell a retailer that one of them is unavailable until a reorder arrives. For the listed price breaks themselves, see Wholesale Fragrance Oils for Paraffin Candle Manufacturers; this page is about holding the stock.
The line: 85 g paraffin tins
Tins suit commercial paraffin work: they are light, stack well, travel without breakage, and sell at a price point where paraffin's low wax cost matters. CSI lists a Golden Aluminium Tin with a published fill weight of 85 g, at ₹360.00 for a pack of 12. At an 8% test load, each tin takes 6.8 g of oil and 78.2 g of wax. The load is a test value: no fragrance ceiling is published for CSI's paraffin in this data, so check the wax page or ask on WhatsApp, and settle your load with a test before planning bulk.
| Line | Paraffin pellets | Luxury Soy Wax Chunks |
|---|---|---|
| Oil (Cucumber Green Tea, 6.8 g) | ₹22.63 | ₹22.63 |
| Wax (78.2 g) | ₹27.68 | ₹46.84 |
| Golden Aluminium Tin | ₹30.00 | ₹30.00 |
| Eco Thin C1 wick | ₹5.90 | ₹5.90 |
| Material cost per tin | ₹86.21 | ₹105.37 |
| Oil's share | 26.2% | 21.5% |
In a small format the container is a large share of the cost, so the oil's share is lower than in a 200 g jar. Paraffin still saves ₹19.16 a tin against soy chunks, which across a 2,400-tin quarter is ₹45,981.60. The wick is an Eco Thin C1 as a starting point; wick sizes for an 85 g tin are not published in this data, so confirm with a burn test before you buy a quarter's wicks.
A quarter's stock, priced
The plan covers October to December, the busiest quarter for most Indian candle businesses. Each scent sells 200 tins a month. Per scent, that is 600 tins × 6.8 g = 4,080 g of oil, or 4,243.2 g with a 4% working allowance for pour loss and test burns. Rounded up to listed packs, it is 4.5 kg per scent: four 1 kg and one 500 g. The table shows the same 4.5 kg bought three ways.
| Oil | ₹/g at 500 g | ₹/g at 1 kg | 4 × 1 kg + 1 × 500 g | 9 × 500 g | 45 × 100 g | Material cost per tin |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Cucumber Green Tea | ₹3.33 | ₹3.33 | ₹14,974.20 | ₹14,974.20 | ₹15,876.90 | ₹86.21 |
| Peach Melon Berry | ₹4.18 | ₹4.18 | ₹18,797.40 | ₹18,797.40 | ₹18,797.40 | ₹91.99 |
| Fallen Leaves | ₹4.25 | ₹4.25 | ₹19,116.00 | ₹19,116.00 | ₹21,240.00 | ₹92.47 |
| Cinnamon Vanilla | ₹4.60 | ₹4.55 | ₹20,520.20 | ₹20,709.00 | ₹21,771.00 | ₹94.56 |
| Four scents | ₹73,407.80 | ₹73,596.60 | ₹77,685.30 |
For three of the four oils, 500 g and 1 kg are the same rate per gram, so the kilo-and-half-kilo mix and nine 500 g packs cost the same. Cinnamon Vanilla's 1 kg is fractionally cheaper per gram than its 500 g, which accounts for the small difference between the two columns. Buying in 100 g would cost ₹4,277.50 more across the quarter. About half of that comes from Fallen Leaves, whose 500 g and 1 kg are 10.0% cheaper per gram than its 100 g, and none of it from Peach Melon Berry, which costs the same per gram at 100 g as at 1 kg.
| Item | Quantity | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Fragrance oils (four scents × 4.5 kg) | 16 × 1 kg + 4 × 500 g | ₹73,407.80 |
| Fully Refined Paraffin Wax Pellets | 196 kg (listed 1 kg rate — ask for a quote) | ₹69,384.00 |
| Golden Aluminium Tin, 85 g fill | 2,400 (200 packs of 12) | ₹72,000.00 |
| Eco Candle Wicks Thin C1 | 2,500 (2 × 1,000 + 1 × 500) | ₹14,750.00 |
| Total | ₹2,29,541.80 | |
| Per tin | 2,400 tins | ₹95.64 |
The paraffin line is 2,400 × 78.2 g plus 4%, or 195.2 kg, rounded up to 196 kg. Because pellets are listed only at 500 g and 1 kg, a quantity like this should go to WhatsApp for a quote; no bulk discount figure is published, so the table uses the listed rate. The tins are the largest single line in the order, which is normal for a small format. Wicks are priced at the 1,000 and 500 packs from the 25 September pull, at ₹5.90 each.

Reorder points and stock risk
A reorder point is the stock level at which you place the next order, so that it arrives before you run out. It depends on two numbers: how fast you use the oil and how long a restock takes. The first you know: 1,360 g per scent per month in this plan. The second is not published in this data, so confirm it on WhatsApp for your city and set your cover accordingly. The diagram uses one month of cover as a working assumption.
Storing bulk oil and wax
A quarter's stock sits on your shelf for up to three months, so storage matters. In general practice, keep fragrance oil closed, in its original container, away from heat and direct sunlight, and label each container with the date received. Use older stock first. Keep paraffin pellets sealed and dry, so the wax stays clean. None of this is specific to CSI's oils; it is ordinary care for a commercial workshop.
Two documents matter for bulk storage and transport. The MSDS (material safety data sheet) covers handling and storage, including the flash point, which is relevant to how the oil is stored and shipped rather than to how it performs in a candle. The IFRA certificate covers how the oil may be used. This guide does not state any individual oil's flash point or IFRA figures; CSI supplies both documents on request. Where to Buy Candle-Safe Fragrance Oils for Paraffin Wax explains what to check in each.
For the batch-by-batch production view of the same line, see Fragrance Oil for Paraffin Wax Commercial Production. If your commercial line is soy rather than paraffin, Bulk Fragrance Oils for Soy Candle Manufacturers covers bulk for soy manufacturers, and Bulk Fragrance Oils for Scented Tealight Production covers bulk for small-format tealight production. When a single scent justifies a kilo, Buy 1 Kg Fragrance Oil for Paraffin Candle Making covers that decision, and Buy Fragrance Oils for Paraffin Wax Candles in India the earlier buying stages.
CANDLEMAKINGSUPPLIESINDIA supplies raw materials, not finished candles. A bulk page is an easy place to oversell. This one shows that for three of the four oils in the plan, bulk packs cost the same per gram as smaller ones, and it says plainly that the case for bulk is stock security, not a lower rate.
Every oil and wax price on this page comes from live CSI listings pulled on 24 September 2026; tin prices and the Eco 500- and 1,000-wick packs are from the 24–25 September pull. Quarter totals, per-tin figures and stock levels are plain arithmetic on those prices, shown to two decimals.
The 85 g tin at an 8% load, 200 tins per scent per month, the 4% allowance and the one-month reorder cover are working assumptions. No fragrance ceiling is published for CSI's paraffin in this data. Storage guidance is general practice. For restock timing, paraffin in quantity, GST invoicing, MSDS or IFRA certificates, message us on WhatsApp at +91 7397976926.
