Wholesale Fragrance Oils for Wedding Candle Manufacturers
Share
Which size should a manufacturer buy? The cheapest per gram, which is usually the 1 kg but not always. Saffron Cedarwood's 500 g costs ₹5.17 a gram against ₹6.87 for the 1 kg, so two 500 g packs save ₹1,699.20 per kilo.
Is there a wholesale price above 1 kg? Quantities beyond the listed packs are quoted on WhatsApp. No discount figure is published, so ask with your oils and kilos. See the quote checklist.
What does a season's oil cost? A 30 kg, four-oil wedding season plan costs ₹1,20,442.40 at the cheapest listed packs, against ₹1,40,836.00 in 100 g bottles. See the season plan.
Which wedding oils get cheaper in bulk
A wedding candle manufacturer is not buying a tester. You are buying several kilos of a few oils, often the same ones every season, so the one question that matters is whether a bigger pack lowers the price per gram. Across CSI's whole catalogue the honest answer is "rarely": of 91 oils listing both 100 g and 1 kg, 52 are within 1% per gram and only 24 save 5% or more. Wedding oils happen to include several of those 24. The table puts the thirteen most wedding-relevant in-stock oils side by side.
| Oil | 100 g ₹/g | 500 g ₹/g | 1 kg ₹/g | 1 kg saving vs 100 g | Cheapest pack · saving |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| British Rose | ₹3.42 | ₹3.19 | ₹3.07 | 10.3% | 1 kg · 10.3% |
| Ylang Ylang Flower | ₹5.90 | ₹5.43 | ₹5.31 | 10.0% | 1 kg · 10.0% |
| Jasmine | ₹4.30 | ₹3.92 | ₹3.92 | 8.8% | 500 g · 8.8% |
| Cinnamon Vanilla | ₹4.84 | ₹4.60 | ₹4.55 | 5.9% | 1 kg · 5.9% |
| Raat Ki Rani (Night-Blooming Jasmine) | ₹7.00 | ₹6.77 | ₹6.77 | 3.2% | 1 kg · 3.2% |
| Vanilla Bean | ₹7.90 | ₹7.68 | ₹7.65 | 3.2% | 1 kg · 3.2% |
| Japanese Cherry Blossom | ₹5.00 | ₹5.00 | ₹4.84 | 3.2% | 1 kg · 3.2% |
| Saffron Cedarwood | ₹6.96 | ₹5.17 | ₹6.87 | 1.4% | 500 g · 25.8% |
| Sandalwood | ₹5.03 | ₹5.03 | ₹5.03 | 0.0% | Flat from 100 g |
| Gardenia | ₹4.33 | ₹4.33 | ₹4.33 | 0.0% | Flat from 100 g |
| White Royal Oud | ₹8.10 | ₹8.10 | ₹8.10 | 0.0% | Flat from 100 g |
| Neroli | ₹6.66 | ₹6.66 | ₹6.66 | 0.0% | Flat from 100 g |
| Smoked Rose Royale | ₹7.99 | ₹8.00 | ₹8.00 | -0.1% | Flat from 100 g |
Three groups fall out. Real breaks: British Rose, Ylang Ylang, Jasmine and Cinnamon Vanilla, where the kilo saves 5–10%. Buy these by the kilo, or by the 500 g for Jasmine, whose two 500 g packs (₹3,922.00) cost a rupee less than its 1 kg (₹3,923.00). Small breaks: Raat Ki Rani, Vanilla Bean and Japanese Cherry Blossom save about 3%. That is worth taking but will not change a quote. Flat: Sandalwood, Gardenia, White Royal Oud, Neroli and Smoked Rose Royale cost the same per gram at every size from 100 g. On those oils the kilo buys stock security and fewer reorders, which may matter more to you than price, but it buys no discount.
When the 500 g beats the kilo
On the pull date, Saffron Cedarwood was listed at ₹696.20 for 100 g, ₹2,584.20 for 500 g and ₹6,867.60 for 1 kg. Per gram that is ₹6.96, ₹5.17 and ₹6.87. Two 500 g packs cost ₹5,168.40, which is ₹1,699.20 less than one kilo. Sage and Cedarwood shows the identical pattern at the identical prices. Whether this reflects a deliberate price or a listing that will later be corrected, the rule for a buyer is the same: price per gram decides the pack, and the largest pack is not automatically the cheapest.
Jasmine shows the same effect on a much smaller scale. Its 500 g at ₹1,961.00 works out at ₹3.922 a gram and its 1 kg at ₹3.923. The difference is a rupee per kilo, too small to matter, but it is a reminder to check every oil rather than assume.
A season plan for a manufacturer
Here is a worked plan for a manufacturer pouring wedding candles through the November–February wedding season with four core oils: British Rose 12 kg, Jasmine 8 kg, Saffron Cedarwood 6 kg and Ylang Ylang 4 kg. That is 30 kg of oil, which at an 8% load scents 375 kg of finished candles, or 3,750 candles at 100 g. The quantities are illustrative. Use your own confirmed orders plus a margin.
| Oil | Season need | In 100 g bottles | In 1 kg packs | Cheapest listed mix | Saved vs 100 g |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| British Rose | 12 kg | ₹41,064.00 | ₹36,816.00 | 12 × 1 kg · ₹36,816.00 | ₹4,248.00 |
| Jasmine | 8 kg | ₹34,400.00 | ₹31,384.00 | 16 × 500 g · ₹31,376.00 | ₹3,024.00 |
| Saffron Cedarwood | 6 kg | ₹41,772.00 | ₹41,205.60 | 12 × 500 g · ₹31,010.40 | ₹10,761.60 |
| Ylang Ylang Flower | 4 kg | ₹23,600.00 | ₹21,240.00 | 4 × 1 kg · ₹21,240.00 | ₹2,360.00 |
| Season total | 30 kg | ₹1,40,836.00 | ₹1,30,645.60 | ₹1,20,442.40 | ₹20,393.60 |
Buying in 100 g bottles would cost ₹1,40,836.00. Buying everything by the kilo cuts that to ₹1,30,645.60. Buying each oil at its cheapest listed pack cuts it to ₹1,20,442.40. Most of the extra saving comes from Saffron Cedarwood in 500 g packs, and a little from Jasmine in 500 g. Nothing here depends on a negotiated price. It is the listed catalogue, read carefully.
Cash is the other decision. Because most of these prices are flat above the break, buying the whole season up front in September costs the same as buying a quarter of it each month. Front-loading buys stock security, and that has value if an oil might run short in the Diwali rush. Buying monthly keeps cash free and lets you drop a scent that does not sell. A common compromise is to buy the confirmed November and December weddings in full now, and the rest as orders confirm. How Much Fragrance Oil Inventory Should a Candle Manufacturer Keep? and How to Set Reorder Levels for Candle Fragrance Oils cover stock levels and reorder points in detail.
Three bulk buys worth knowing
Each of these three illustrates a different bulk situation: a real kilo break, a 500 g anomaly and a modest break on a gourmand that suits winter functions.

Wax by the bag
Oil is only part of a manufacturer's bill. The same 30 kg of oil needs about 345 kg of wax at 8%. Wax pricing follows the same rule as oil: check the per-kilo figure at each bag size rather than assuming bigger is cheaper.
| Wax | Bags and per-kilo price | Fragrance ceiling |
|---|---|---|
| Luxury Soy Wax Chunks | 500 g ₹299.00 (₹598.00/kg) · 1 kg ₹599.00 (₹599.00/kg) · 5 kg ₹2,995.00 (₹599.00/kg) · 10 kg ₹5,999.00 (₹599.90/kg) | Up to 13% |
| Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464 | 500 g ₹260.00 (₹520.00/kg) · 1 kg ₹507.40 (₹507.40/kg) · 5 kg ₹2,537.00 (₹507.40/kg) · 10 kg ₹5,074.00 (₹507.40/kg) | Up to 10% |
| Premium Coconut Soy Wax CSI 468 | 500 g ₹325.00 (₹650.00/kg) · 1 kg ₹650.00 (₹650.00/kg) · 5 kg ₹3,185.00 (₹637.00/kg) · 10 kg ₹6,370.00 (₹637.00/kg) | Check product page |
| Natural Soy Pearl Wax | 1 kg ₹450.00 (₹450.00/kg) · 5 kg ₹2,124.00 (₹424.80/kg) · 10 kg ₹4,248.00 (₹424.80/kg) · 50 kg ₹21,240.00 (₹424.80/kg) | Check product page |
Luxury Soy Wax Chunks are priced flat per kilo, and the 10 kg bag (₹5,999.00) actually costs ₹9.00 more than two 5 kg bags (₹5,990.00). CSI 464 is flat at ₹507.40 a kilo from 1 kg up. CSI 468 saves 2.0% from 5 kg. Natural Soy Pearl Wax is the one with a real bulk step, 5.6% from 5 kg, and the 50 kg bag is ₹424.80 a kilo. For 345 kg that would be 7 × 50 kg for ₹1,48,680.00, against 69 × 5 kg of CSI 464 for ₹1,75,053.00. Pearl wax has no fragrance ceiling quoted in this series, so check its product page and test your oils in it before switching a production line.
Asking for a quote beyond the listed packs
When a season's need runs to several kilos of one oil, message for a quote instead of clicking the kilo many times. A useful request answers the supplier's questions before they ask them, and gives you a baseline to judge the reply.
| Include | Example | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Oils by exact store name | Saffron Cedarwood Fragrance Oil | Avoids confusion with similar names and second listings |
| Kilos per oil | 6 kg | Quotes are per quantity; vague requests get vague answers |
| Delivery months | Half in October, half in December | Lets the supplier plan stock and tells you if a split is possible |
| Single-batch request | "Can the 12 kg come from one batch?" | Scent consistency across a whole wedding order |
| Documents | GST invoice, MSDS, IFRA | Needed for your records and for planners or corporate clients |
| Your baseline | Cheapest listed mix: ₹1,20,442.40 | The number any quote has to beat |
No discount figure is published, so do not assume one. Judge any quote against your cheapest-listed-mix total, because that is what you would pay by ordering the listed packs yourself. If the quote is not lower, the listed packs are the answer and the quote has still told you something useful about stock and delivery.
Corporate gifting manufacturers face the same maths on a quarterly rhythm rather than a seasonal one. Wholesale Fragrance Oils for Corporate Gift Manufacturers covers that, and Fragrance Oil Supplier for Wedding and Corporate Candle Manufacturers sets out how to assess a supplier for both kinds of work. For a monthly production rhythm outside the wedding season, see Monthly Fragrance Oil Supplier for Candle Manufacturers in India.
CANDLEMAKINGSUPPLIESINDIA supplies raw materials to candle makers and manufacturers. A wholesale page is the easiest place to oversell the kilo. Our own listed prices show that for many wedding oils the kilo saves nothing, and for one it costs more per gram than the 500 g, so this page says so and names them.
Every oil and wax price on this page comes from live CSI listings pulled on 24 September 2026. Per-gram figures, savings and season totals are plain arithmetic on those prices, shown to two decimals so you can check them. Wholesale quotes beyond the listed packs are not published and are not assumed anywhere on this page.
The four-oil, 30 kg season plan and the 8% load are working assumptions for illustration. Your confirmed orders set your real quantities. For season quotes, split deliveries, GST invoicing, MSDS and IFRA documentation, message us on WhatsApp at +91 7397976926.

Non-price figures and assumptions: Savings compare per-gram prices of the same oil at different listed packs. "Cheapest listed mix" is the lowest-cost combination of in-stock packs covering the stated quantity. The 30 kg season plan is illustrative; 1 kg of oil at 8% scents 12.5 kg of finished candle. Wax needed = candle weight − oil. Fragrance-load ceilings of up to 13% (Luxury Soy Wax Chunks) and up to 10% (CSI 464) are the wax makers' stated formulation maximums, not regulatory limits; no ceiling is quoted in this series for CSI 468 or Natural Soy Pearl Wax. Quotes beyond listed packs are not published. Diwali 2026 falls on 8 November. Prices and availability change — the linked product pages are always authoritative.
