Wedding & Corporate · Luxury favours
A luxury favour is a small number of candles where every detail is noticed. The scent is the detail guests remember, and on a 100 g or 200 g piece the premium oil costs less extra than most people expect. This page prices the premium tier per favour, shows when a higher load is worth it, and costs a full run.
₹96.83
extra oil cost of Santal Noir over British Rose in one 200 g favour at 8%, both at 1 kg rates · CSI live pricing, September 2026
Quick answers — read this first
What are the best luxury fragrance oils for wedding favours? On CSI's catalogue the premium tier includes Santal Noir, White Royal Oud, Smoked Rose Royale, Neroli Signature Grade and Jasmine Coconut Spa Ceylon, plus inspired-by oils in the Fine Perfume Fragrances collection.

How much more does a luxury oil cost per favour? At 8% in a 100 g favour, Santal Noir costs ₹73.52 against ₹24.54 for British Rose at its kilo rate, ₹48.98 more. See the premium table.

Should luxury favours use a higher fragrance load? Only if testing shows better throw. 10% instead of 8% in a 200 g Santal Noir jar adds ₹34.08 a piece. CSI 464 is rated up to 10% and Luxury Soy Wax Chunks up to 13%.

What does a 150-favour luxury run cost? 150 × 200 g Santal Noir jars at 8%: ₹52,214.00 in oil, wax, wicks and White Matte Glass Jars, or ₹348.09 a piece. See the run costing.
The short answer
Premium tier: Per gram at 100 g: Dark Vanilla Oud ₹5.90 · Smoked Rose Royale ₹7.99 · White Royal Oud ₹8.10 · Santal Noir ₹9.19 · Khamrah Qahwa ₹15.06.
Uplift: Over British Rose at ₹3.07/g, a premium oil adds ₹22.66 to ₹95.94 per 100 g favour at 8%.
Luxury run: 150 × 200 g Santal Noir, jar included: ₹52,214.00 at 8%, ₹57,354.00 at 10%.
Oil cost inside one 100 g favour at 8% — value floral against the premium tier Priced at each oil's 100 g rate. The dashed line is British Rose at its 1 kg rate, the value baseline. British Rose (1 kg rate) ₹24.54 Dark Vanilla Oud ₹47.20 Raat Ki Rani ₹56.00 Neroli Signature Grade ₹63.92 Smoked Rose Royale ₹63.92 White Royal Oud ₹64.80 Santal Noir ₹73.52 Delina Inspired ₹95.60 Khamrah Qahwa ₹120.48
The premium tier costs two to five times the value floral per gram, but in a 100 g favour the difference is tens of rupees, not hundreds. The top-priced profiles at the bottom are the exception, and they are where the per-favour cost starts to matter.
Straight answer
Which luxury fragrance oils suit wedding favours, and what do they add to the cost of each piece?
For a favour that should feel expensive, look at the premium tier: Santal Noir, White Royal Oud, Smoked Rose Royale, Neroli Signature Grade and Jasmine Coconut Spa Ceylon, priced from ₹7.99 to ₹9.19 a gram at 100 g, with Dark Vanilla Oud as a lower-cost entry at ₹5.90. The top-priced profiles, such as Delina (Parfums De Marly Inspired) (₹11.95) and Khamrah Qahwa (₹15.06), sit above them. In a 100 g favour at 8%, the premium tier adds ₹22.66 to ₹48.98 of oil over British Rose at its kilo rate. That is real money on 150 pieces, but small next to the jar, box and finishing a luxury favour carries. Raise the load to 10% only if a test shows better throw. A run of 150 × 200 g Santal Noir favours in White Matte Glass Jars costs ₹52,214.00 in materials at 8% (₹348.09 a piece), or ₹57,354.00 at 10%. Test in 15 g where the oil offers it, keep the inspired-by name off the favour label, and ask for GST invoicing and documentation with the order.
One line: a premium oil adds tens of rupees to a favour, not hundreds. Cost it before you rule it out.
Shortlist the premium tier in small sizes first: Santal Noir 15 g ₹166.00, Neroli Signature Grade 15 g ₹133.00, Jasmine Coconut Spa Ceylon 15 g ₹133.00 and Smoked Rose Royale 100 g ₹799.00, which starts at 100 g. Together ₹1,231.00, enough for a 100 g test favour of each and several more of the rose.

The premium tier, priced per favour

A premium oil looks expensive on the bottle and cheap inside the favour. Cost it before you rule it out.

Luxury favours are usually 100 g or 200 g pieces, made in tens or low hundreds, for close family, the bridal party or VIP guests. At that volume most makers buy in 100 g bottles or a single kilo, so the table below prices each premium oil at its 100 g rate and compares it with British Rose at its 1 kg rate (₹3.07 a gram), the value floral most return gifts are made with. The last column shows what the upgrade costs across a typical 150-favour run.

Khamrah Qahwa ₹1,506.00 ₹15.06 ₹120.48 ₹150.60 ₹95.94 ₹14,390.40

Three groups show up. The accessible premium, Dark Vanilla Oud and Raat Ki Rani, adds ₹22.66 to ₹31.46 a favour and suits a family that wants richness without a luxury budget. The core premium tier, from Solar Bloom to Santal Noir, sits between ₹7.49 and ₹9.19 a gram and adds roughly ₹35 to ₹49 per favour. The top-priced profiles, Delina (Parfums De Marly Inspired) and Khamrah Qahwa, add ₹71.06 and ₹95.94, which on 150 favours is ₹10,658.40 and ₹14,390.40 of extra oil. That last group is where the per-favour cost genuinely starts to matter.

Most premium oils are priced flat
Smoked Rose Royale, Midnight Bakhoor Royale, Jasmine Coconut Spa Ceylon and White Royal Oud cost the same per gram from 100 g to 1 kg. For a 150-favour run you do not save by buying the kilo. Buy what the run needs. Neroli Signature Grade is an exception: the 1 kg (₹7,599.00) is 4.9% cheaper per gram than the 100 g. Wholesale Fragrance Oils for Wedding Candle Manufacturers covers pack choice for the value oils.

Where the scents belong is styling judgement, not sales data. Dark woods and ouds suit evening receptions and winter functions. Neroli and white florals suit daytime and garden events. Deep roses bridge both, and a gourmand such as Vanilla Orange Blossom suits sangeet nights. Fragrance Oils for Wedding Candle Making covers the wider wedding families, including the value options.

8% or 10% for a luxury piece

Luxury favours tempt makers to push the load, on the reasoning that more oil means a stronger, more expensive-feeling candle. Sometimes it does. Sometimes the wax cannot carry it and the extra oil sweats out or burns off with no gain in throw. The only reliable answer is a side-by-side test. Luxury Soy Wax Chunks are rated up to 13% and CSI 464 up to 10%, the wax maker's stated formulation maximums, not targets.

200 g favour · Luxury Soy Wax Chunks · one Eco Thin C1 wick · White Matte Glass Jar ₹70.80 · oil at 1 kg rate
What 10% costs over 8% in a 200 g luxury jar
Oil Load Oil Oil cost Materials per favour (with jar)
British Rose 8% 16 g ₹49.09 ₹236.00
Santal Noir 8% 16 g ₹145.92 ₹332.84
Santal Noir 10% 20 g ₹182.40 ₹366.92

Moving Santal Noir from 8% to 10% adds ₹34.08 per 200 g favour after the wax saving, and ₹5,112.60 across 150 favours. Moving from British Rose to Santal Noir at 8% adds ₹96.83. The scent choice moves the cost far more than the load, so choose the oil first and decide the load by testing.

1
Pour three test favours per oilAt 8%, 9% and 10% in the real jar, with the real wick. A 15 g tester covers one 100 g favour at 8% with 7 g to spare, so buy a 50 g for a full load test in 200 g jars.
2
Cure them equallySame days, same room, lids on. Premium blends often change noticeably during cure.
3
Test cold and lit, blind if you canHave someone else label the jars. Smell cold throw, then burn each for two hours and compare from across the room.
4
Check the surface and the poolOil on the surface or a sooting flame at 10% means the candle is carrying more than it can use. Drop back.
5
Choose the lowest load that winsIf 8% and 10% are indistinguishable, 8% is the better candle and the cheaper one.
Argued against our own interest, plainly. We sell oil by the gram, so "use more" is the answer that suits us. For many premium oils it is not the right answer. A well-wicked candle at 8% often throws as well as a 10% one, and costs less. Test before you decide, and if 8% wins, use 8%.

Inspired-by oils and your label

CSI lists oils modelled on well-known perfumes in the Fine Perfume Fragrances and BBW Inspired collections, under the store's own names such as Delina (Parfums De Marly Inspired). They are the most expensive oils in the catalogue per gram, and some wedding clients ask for them by name because they wear the original perfume.

Two practical cautions. First, cost them before you offer them. At ₹11.95 a gram, Delina (Parfums De Marly Inspired) puts ₹95.60 of oil into a 100 g favour at 8%. That is more than the whole materials cost of a British Rose favour in the same format. Second, describe the scent on your favour card rather than naming the perfume that inspired it. Perfume names belong to their owners. "A soft rose and lychee blend" tells the guest what they are smelling without borrowing somebody else's brand. This is general caution, not legal advice. If a client insists on a named reference, take advice on it.

The out-of-stock favourite. Several inspired-by oils had sizes out of stock on the pull date. Baccarat Rouge 540 Inspired and Acqua Di Gio Inspired had none at all, and Khamrah (Lattafa Inspired) was in stock only at 50 g. A family that has fallen for one of these in a friend's candle may be asking for something you cannot reorder. Check stock before the tasting, not after.

Costing a 150-favour luxury run

Here is a complete costing for 150 luxury favours at 200 g in Santal Noir, poured in Luxury Soy Wax Chunks into White Matte Glass Jars with one Eco Thin C1 wick each. It is shown at 8% and at 10%, with a 5% allowance on oil and wax. Size the wick for your jar and test it. The Thin C1 is our costing assumption, not a sizing recommendation.

Add the favour box, card, ribbon, labour, freight and GST to reach a price. The oil is 45% of the materials at 8%, and the jar 20%. Swapping Santal Noir for British Rose would save about ₹15,251.04 of oil on this run. Whether that is worth it depends on what the family is paying for. In a luxury favour they are usually paying for the scent.

Choosing a signature scent

A signature scent is the one guests will associate with the wedding. It has to be right, and it has to be available.

Some families want one scent used everywhere: favours, the stage, the room kits for guests. That turns a premium favour oil into a larger order across formats, and it raises two questions. Can the oil be bought in the quantity the whole wedding needs? And will every piece smell the same? For the first, check stock at 500 g and 1 kg before you promise it. For the second, Fragrance Oils for Bulk Wedding Candle Orders sets out single-order buying, pooling and a reference candle.

If the family wants something that feels exclusive, a simple two-oil blend of premium and value oils can be your own house signature. Blending changes the smell, so test the blend as a finished candle like any single oil, and record the ratio by weight so you can repeat it next season. Keep blends to two or three oils, because every extra oil is another stock and consistency risk.

The CSI principle
Luxury is in the scent, not the surcharge.
In a 100 g or 200 g favour a premium oil costs tens of rupees more than a value floral. Families notice the difference in the scent, and they do not see the invoice line. Cost the premium before you talk a client out of it.

Corporate buyers sometimes want premium favours too, for board gifts or client gifting, with different constraints on scent and documentation. Fragrance Oils for Corporate Gifting Candles and Best Candle Fragrances for Corporate Gifting cover them. For a luxury candle line beyond weddings, see Best Fragrance Oils for a Luxury Candle Collection.

Three related reads. Best Fragrance Oils for a Premium Candle Brand looks at premium oils for a candle brand's permanent range rather than a single wedding. How to Sample Candle Fragrance Oils Before Placing a Wholesale Order sets out a fair way to sample several premium oils side by side before committing. Fragrance Oil Supplier for Wedding and Corporate Candle Manufacturers covers what to check in a supplier when the scent you promise a family must be in stock on the day.

Santal Noir adds about ₹48.98 to a 100 g favour. Few families will notice the cost, and most will notice the scent.

Why trust this guide

CANDLEMAKINGSUPPLIESINDIA supplies raw materials, not finished favours. This page advises against raising the load without a test, notes where premium oils are priced flat so the kilo saves nothing, and flags inspired-by oils that are out of stock. All three cut against selling more oil, and all three save a wedding maker money or trouble.

Every oil and wax price on this page comes from live CSI listings pulled on 24 September 2026. Wick and jar prices are those verified for Blog 760 on 10 September 2026. Per-favour figures and run totals are plain arithmetic on those prices at the stated load and allowance, shown to two decimals so you can check them.

The 100 g and 200 g formats, 8% and 10% loads and the 5% allowance are working assumptions. The labelling note is general caution, not legal advice. Which scent suits which function is styling judgement, not sales data. For premium oil stock, GST invoicing, MSDS and IFRA documentation, message us on WhatsApp at +91 7397976926.

Frequently asked questions

Which fragrance is best for luxury wedding favours?
Premium woods and deep florals are safe choices: Santal Noir, White Royal Oud, Smoked Rose Royale, Neroli Signature Grade and Jasmine Coconut Spa Ceylon on CSI's catalogue. Test two or three with the family in the real favour jar before deciding.
How much does a luxury candle favour cost to make?
For a 200 g Santal Noir favour at 8% in a White Matte Glass Jar with Luxury Soy Wax Chunks and one wick, ₹332.84 in materials at the 1 kg oil rate. The box, card, labour, freight and GST are extra.
Is a higher fragrance load better for luxury candles?
Not automatically. Test 8%, 9% and 10% side by side in the real jar. If they are indistinguishable, use the lowest. Stay within the wax maker's stated maximum: up to 10% for CSI 464 and up to 13% for Luxury Soy Wax Chunks.
Can I use designer perfume inspired oils in wedding favours?
You can use the oils, but cost them first, because they include the dearest oils in the catalogue, up to ₹24.06 a gram. On your favour card, describe the scent rather than naming the perfume that inspired it. That is general caution, not legal advice.
What is the most premium candle fragrance for weddings in India?
"Premium" is a styling judgement, not a price tag. On price, the dearest in-stock oils are the designer-inspired profiles, such as Club De Nuit Intense Inspired at ₹24.06 a gram. For favours, most makers find the ₹7–₹9 a gram tier gives a luxury feel at a manageable cost.
Do premium fragrance oils come in sample sizes?
Some do. Santal Noir, White Royal Oud, Neroli Signature Grade and Jasmine Coconut Spa Ceylon have a 15 g size. Smoked Rose Royale and Midnight Bakhoor Royale start at 100 g, and several inspired-by oils start at 50 g. CSI does not sell a premium sample set, so build your own from the smallest sizes.
Price the premium, then decide
Test the premium tier in the real jar. Cost it per favour. Most families will choose the scent over the saving.
Santal Noir from ₹166.00, Neroli Signature Grade from ₹133.00, Smoked Rose Royale from ₹799.00, plus Luxury Soy Wax Chunks, wicks and White Matte Glass Jars at ₹354.00 for 5. Send your favour count and we will quote it.

Non-price figures and assumptions: Oil = candle weight × load (100 g at 8% = 8 g; 200 g at 8% = 16 g, at 10% = 20 g). Uplift compares each oil at its 100 g rate with British Rose at its 1 kg rate (₹3.07 per gram). Materials per favour = oil + Luxury Soy Wax Chunks at ₹599.00 / kg + one Eco Thin C1 wick + one White Matte Glass Jar; they exclude boxes, cards, labour, freight and GST. The run adds a 5% allowance on oil and wax, a working assumption. Fragrance-load ceilings of up to 13% (Luxury Soy Wax Chunks) and up to 10% (CSI 464) are the wax makers' stated formulation maximums, not regulatory limits. The labelling note is general caution, not legal advice. Prices and availability change — the linked product pages are always authoritative.
