Three things stand out. First, only two of the five state a candle load at all, and they are also the two with 500 g and 1 kg in stock. Second, Roasted Coffee and Coffee Blast have near-identical structures on paper (coffee, cocoa or chocolate, caramel, vanilla), yet Coffee Blast costs 182% more per gram at 50 g and cannot be bought in bulk. Third, "mocha" is not unique to Moca Coffee: Roasted Coffee's own heart is "dark chocolate and espresso".

Each coffee, honestly

Ranked for someone making coffee candles to sell, including to cafés: stated candle load first, stock depth second, price per gram third. We have no throw measurements and do not rank on strength; how coffee oils behave in soy and which usually need extra hot-throw testing is argued in the café and bakery launch guide. Candle counts assume 150 g at 8%.

Which coffee for which candle

These are decision rules, in our judgement, built on what each page says sits around the coffee. They are starting points for your own side-by-side test, not verdicts.

Notice that Roasted Coffee is the first choice for two of the five briefs and the fallback for a third. That is not us favouring our cheapest coffee; it is that its page covers coffee, chocolate and caramel together, and in our judgement those three notes are what most people mean by "coffee shop". A café that wants two coffee candles on its shelf is usually best served by Roasted Coffee and Coffee Vanilla Tobacco: one sweet, one dark, both suppliable. Supplying a café's retail shelf

A growing number of independent cafés sell a small shelf of take-home goods: beans, mugs, a few gifts. A coffee candle fits that shelf naturally. Supplying one is a small B2B arrangement, and the café owner will ask four things, in roughly this order.

1 · "What will it cost me, and what can I sell it for?"

Offer two formats: a small tin as an impulse buy at the counter and a 150 g jar as a gift. The Pack of 12 Golden Aluminium Tin Container (85 g fill weight) is ₹360.00 a pack, ₹30.00 a tin. An 85 g candle at 8% takes 6.8 g of oil and 78.2 g of wax. The Clear Glass Jar with Golden Lid (150 gram) is ₹94.40 each from the pack of 10. If the café wants a darker look, the Brown Matte Glass Jar is ₹70.80 each from the pack of 10, but its listing does not state a fill weight, so weigh a water fill before you cost it.

How the tin adds up for Roasted Coffee: 6.8 g of oil at the 100 g price (₹26.52) + 78.2 g of CSI 464 (₹39.68) + one tin (₹30.00) + one C1 wick (₹5.90) = ₹102.10. All figures exclude labour, freight, packaging, labels and GST. What the café charges is its decision; what you need is a price that covers these materials, your time and a margin for the café.

2 · "Can you keep supplying it?"

This is where the stock row in the diagram matters. On 24 September 2026, Roasted Coffee and Coffee Vanilla Tobacco have 500 g and 1 kg in stock; Moca Coffee and Coffee Blast do not. If a café reorders every month, promise it only a coffee you can buy in bulk.

3 · "Is it safe to burn in the café?"

Many cafés sell candles without burning them on site, and in our judgement that is wise: a burning coffee candle competes with the real coffee and the food. If the café does want one lit, the usual candle-safety basics apply (burn within sight, keep away from anything flammable, trim the wick). Add a candle care sticker to every unit. A café client may also ask for documentation; MSDS and IFRA documents are available on request on WhatsApp.

4 · "Can it carry our name?"

A café's own name on its own shelf, with its permission, is ordinary private labelling. What it must never carry is someone else's brand, including the name of the brand behind Khamrah Qahwa or any coffee chain. Your label should describe the scent in plain words (coffee, chocolate, vanilla) and list your business as the maker.

A 24-candle café order, costed and run

A typical first order from a small café is two dozen units. Here is one, costed three ways, and the sequence to deliver it.

These totals are costed per unit used; jars and C1 wicks come in packs of 10 and tins in packs of 12, so buying whole packs leaves a few spares. The oil is the smallest line in every one of these orders, which is why the continuity of the oil matters more than its price.

Continuity: the question every café buyer asks

A café that likes your candle will reorder, and it will want the same candle. That depends on two things you control and one you do not.

You control the recipe. Write down the oil, the load, the wax, the wick and the cure for every batch. The same oil at 8% in the same wax and vessel is the closest you can come to the same candle.

You control the stock you hold. For Roasted Coffee, holding one 500 g (₹1,890.00) covers 41 jars or 73 tins, a comfortable buffer for a small café account.

You do not control supplier stock.
