Per-gram ladders for Valentine oils

Here is every listed size of fourteen Valentine-relevant oils on 24 September 2026, in rupees per gram. Out-of-stock sizes are marked. Read it across each row to see where that oil's price per gram actually falls.

Three ladder shapes

Falling ladders (bulk pays): British Rose, Fresh Strawberries, Jasmine, Cinnamon Vanilla, Japanese Cherry Blossom and Dark Vanilla Oud. On these, 500 g or 1 kg is where production oil should be bought. Flat ladders (bulk saves little or nothing): Pink Crush, Spicy Raspberry, Smoked Rose Royale and the Into The Night listing stay within about 20 paise per gram from their smallest listed size upwards, and Vanilla Bean falls only 6.8% from 50 g to 1 kg. Buy the size that matches your need, not the biggest. Odd ladders: Love Spell (100 g cheapest per gram, 500 g dearest), Wild Berries (rises with size) and the Forever Red listing (flat to 500 g, then a step down at 1 kg). These are facts from the price list; we are not speculating about why.

Five production oils and how they behave in bulk

These five are chosen for production, not ranked for scent: they cover rose, red fruit and a musky base, and they show the three ladder shapes you will meet. Candle counts assume 150 g at 8% (12 g of oil).

How much oil a Valentine run needs: three scales

The formula: oil (g) = number of candles × candle weight × load. At 8%, a 150 g candle takes 12 g and a 50 g heart candle 4 g; at 10%, 15 g and 5 g. Add a small allowance for spills and a few retest pours (we plan on about 5% as judgement, not a rule), then round up to the packs that are cheapest per gram for that oil. Three worked scales follow. All use listed prices; above 1 kg per oil, a bulk quote on WhatsApp may improve on them.

Scale 1 · the market stall: 80 candles, one hero scent

Scale 2 · the boutique: 250 candles, three scents

Notice the Love Spell line: the 600 g need has no zero-spare margin (50 candles exactly), so if you want an allowance, add a seventh 100 g rather than a 500 g. Also notice where the money goes: the jars (₹27,820.00) are the largest single line, more than twice the oil. That is normal for a 150 g glass candle and it is where a cheaper vessel changes the sum most (see the materials section).

Scale 3 · the gift producer: 1,000 pieces, two formats

500 × 150 g candles and 500 × 50 g heart candles at 8%: 6 kg of oil for the standard candles and 2 kg for the hearts, 8 kg in all. Split 4 kg British Rose, 2 kg Fresh Strawberries and 2 kg of the Forever Red listing for a premium red, at listed 1 kg prices that is ₹32,350.00 of oil (₹4.04 per gram on average). Wax is 69 kg for the standard candles plus 23 kg for the hearts: 92 kg of CSI 464, ₹46,680.80 at listed prices. 500 Heart Cutout Velvet Candle Jars (Red) are ₹22,500.00 at the pack-of-10 price; 1,000 C1 wicks are ₹5,900.00 as two packs of 500. At this scale, every line is worth a quote: ask on WhatsApp before you pay listed prices on kilograms of oil. Wax, jars and wicks at Valentine volume

Wax. Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464 is priced flat at ₹0.51 per gram from 1 kg to 10 kg (₹507.40, ₹2,537.00, ₹5,074.00), so the 10 kg bag is about convenience, not price; its page states up to 10% fragrance load and melt and pour at 80–90°C. Each of the five production oils states 10% or less for candles (Fresh Strawberries 9%), so CSI 464's ceiling is not a constraint for them; of the other ladder oils, only Japanese Cherry Blossom (6–13%) and Cinnamon Vanilla (up to 13%) state more, usable only in a 13% wax. A 150 g candle at 8% uses ₹70.02 of wax at that price.

Jars. The Red Glass Jar with Golden Lid (150 gram) is ₹2,140.00 for 20 (₹107.00 each) and has no larger pack, so the per-jar price does not fall at volume. Its listing title says "Deliveries Starting 5th Dec": in stock to order on 24 September 2026, but confirm dispatch before you set pour dates. The 200ml Salsa Red Glass Jar with 63mm Lug Cap (Golden Lid) is sold in 5, 50 and 100 (₹62.00 each at 50 or 100); 300 of them cost ₹18,600.00, ₹9,220.00 less than the 260 red 150 g jars in Scale 2. Its capacity is given in millilitres, not wax grams, so weigh a filled test jar before you calculate oil per candle.

Wicks. Eco Candle Wicks, Thin (C1) are ₹5.90 each at every pack size from 10 to 1,000 (₹59.00 to ₹5,900.00), so buy the pack that fits; there is no bulk saving to chase. C1 and C2 are starting points: confirm your wick with a melt-pool test in the production jar, and compare options in the candle wicks collection.

Packing for dispatch. From the packaging materials collection on 24 September 2026: the Corrugated 3 ply box 7 x 5 x 4 Inch (Pack of 50) is ₹1,336.00 (₹26.72 each) and the Air Bubble Roll is ₹900.00; all four colours of Crinkle Paper Filler, including red and pink, are out of stock on that date. Order-by dates for Valentine's Day 2027

Sunday 14 February 2027 is fixed; everything else counts back from it. The dates below assume your scents were decided by Monday 4 January 2027, as set out in Best Fragrance Oils for Valentine's Day Candles, and that you sell partly through shops or corporate buyers who want stock early, and partly direct. Delivery time from CSI depends on your location, so confirm dispatch dates on WhatsApp before you commit to customer dates.

Reorder triggers, and what not to overbuy

A seasonal run needs a reorder rule set in advance, because the window for acting on it is short. These are the triggers we suggest; they are judgement, not data.

Most romantic oils do not stop selling on 15 February. Rose and musk carry into anniversaries (Fragrance Oils for Anniversary Gift Candles), gift sets (Fragrance Oils for Romantic Gift Candles) and a year-round romantic line (Best Fragrances for a Romantic Candle Collection). The seasonal red fruits are the ones to watch: strawberry and berry candles can feel like summer products after Valentine's, so buy them in the smallest units that cover the run. Fragrance oils are best stored cool, dark and tightly capped; CSI does not state a shelf life for these oils, so do not plan to hold stock for a year.
