CSI Collection Buying · Indian Florals
Mogra and rajnigandha are out of stock. Raat ki rani, jasmine, gardenia, ylang ylang and two very different roses are not. Here is what to buy, how to blend honestly around the gaps, and how white florals behave in wax.

Indian floral oils in stock at every listed size on 24 September 2026; Mogra and Rajnigandha out · CSI live pricing, September 2026
Quick answers — read this first
Can I buy mogra or rajnigandha fragrance oil for candles today? Not from CSI on 24 September 2026. Both are listed and both are out of stock at every size. Plan with the florals that are in stock, and ask on WhatsApp for a restock date before you promise either to a customer.

Which Indian florals are in stock? Raat Ki Rani (night-blooming jasmine), Jasmine, Gardenia, Ylang Ylang, British Rose and Smoked Rose Royale. The first five state a candle load of up to 10%; Smoked Rose Royale states none.

Can I rebuild mogra or rajnigandha from them? Approximately, as a named blend, never as the flower. A worked-example "mogra-style" blend of Jasmine and Raat Ki Rani costs ₹66.40 of oil per 8% candle; a "rajnigandha-style" blend of Gardenia, Ylang Ylang and Jasmine costs ₹60.39. No in-stock oil lists tuberose.

How do white florals behave in wax? They tend to get heady before they get weak, so the right load is often lower than the maximum. Test 6%, 8% and 10%, judge in a small room, and watch colour and top notes after a week's cure.
The short answer
Stock: Mogra (single 100 g listing) and Rajnigandha (all sizes) out of stock on 24 September 2026; six other florals in stock at every listed size.
Buy first: Raat Ki Rani and Jasmine for the white-floral core, Gardenia and Ylang Ylang for creaminess, one rose for day (British Rose) and one for night (Smoked Rose Royale).
Cheapest per candle: British Rose at 1 kg (₹36.82 of oil at 8%); dearest: Smoked Rose Royale (₹95.88 at 100 g, ₹95.99 at 1 kg).
Wax behaviour: start judging at 6%, cure a full week, test in a bedroom-sized room.
Which in-stock florals share Mogra’s and Rajnigandha’s notes Facets taken from the words on each CSI product page; a dot means the page names that facet jasmine tuberose creamy green sweet musk rose smoke load Mogra out of stock no Rajnigandha out of stock 6–10% Raat Ki Rani in stock 6–10% Jasmine in stock ≤10% Gardenia in stock ≤10% Ylang Ylang in stock ≤10% Jasmine Coconut in stock no British Rose in stock ≤10% Smoked Rose Royale in stock no Dashed rows: out of stock on 24 September 2026. “load” = candle load stated on the product page. No in-stock oil names tuberose; Gardenia and Ylang Ylang share only the creaminess. Facets are simplified from page wording (e.g. “dewy greens”, “green stems” → green); they say nothing about strength.
The notes the two out-of-stock Indian florals list on their CSI pages, against the seven in-stock florals. Raat Ki Rani is the closest single match to Mogra (jasmine, green, musk base); nothing in stock names tuberose, so a rajnigandha-style candle can only be a blend built around creaminess.
Straight answer
Which Indian floral fragrance oils can I buy for candles right now, and what do I do about mogra and rajnigandha?
On 24 September 2026, buy from six in-stock florals: Raat Ki Rani (₹370.00 for 50 g), Jasmine (₹230.00), Gardenia (₹223.02), Ylang Ylang (₹330.40), British Rose (₹342.20 for 100 g, the better-value test size) and Smoked Rose Royale (₹799.00 for 100 g, its smallest). All six together cost ₹2,294.62. Mogra and Rajnigandha are out of stock at every size, so do not take orders for them. If your range needs their character now, make a named blend (Raat Ki Rani with Jasmine for a mogra-style candle; Gardenia, Ylang Ylang and Jasmine for a rajnigandha-style one), label it honestly, and ask us on WhatsApp for a restock date. In wax, judge white florals from 6% upwards: they tend to go sharp and heady in a small room before they run out of strength.
One line: buy the Indian florals that are actually on the shelf, blend honestly around the two that are not, and let a small room, not the bottle, tell you the load.
The closest thing to mogra you can order today. Raat Ki Rani 50 g is ₹370.00, four candles at 8%. Its page lists "Night-Blooming Jasmine, White Florals" on a "Green Stems, Fresh Ozone" top and a "Soft Amber, Musk" base, and states 6–10% for candles.

Mogra and Rajnigandha: the stock position

Two of the best-known Indian florals are the two you cannot order this week. Better to hear it here than at checkout.

Both oils are real CSI listings with full note descriptions. Neither can be bought on 24 September 2026.

Out of stock on 24 September 2026
What the pages say, and what that means for your plan
Listing Stated notes Candle load on page Sizes and status
Mogra Fragrance Oil Fresh green, soft citrus, airy floral · rich jasmine, creamy white florals, slightly powdery · soft musk, warm woody undertones Not stated Single 100 g listing, ₹642.00 (₹6.42/g): out of stock
Rajnigandha (Tuberose) Dewy greens, crisp apple · creamy tuberose, jasmine, ylang ylang · soft musk, sandalwood 6–10% for candles 15 g to 1 kg, ₹6.00 down to ₹4.46/g: every size out of stock; listing title still shows "Ships 12th July 2025"

Two details are worth noting for when they return. Mogra was listed as a single 100 g size, so there was no cheap sample and no bulk price; if it comes back in the same form, a test at three loads uses 36 g of the 100 g. Rajnigandha was listed across five sizes with a stated candle load and fell from ₹6.00 a gram at 15 g to ₹4.46 at 1 kg, which made it one of the better-value Indian florals. Neither fact helps you this week. Ask us on WhatsApp for an expected date and plan around what is in stock until you have one.

Argued against our own interest: we would rather lose a mogra order than have you launch a "Mogra" candle made with our Jasmine. Jasmine's page describes "sweet, floral, and slightly musky" and does not say which jasmine it is. Indian customers know the tight, green, tea-like sweetness of a mogra gajra, and a general jasmine rarely has it. Launch it as jasmine, or wait.

How white florals behave in soy wax

White florals (jasmine, tuberose, gardenia, ylang ylang, night-blooming jessamine) are the most rewarding and the most unforgiving family in candles. What follows is our judgement from how this family is generally understood to work, not measured data for these specific oils; use it to decide what to watch for in your own test.

They get heady before they get weak

Real white flowers contain facets that are lovely at a distance and overwhelming close up; raat ki rani in a closed room is a famous example. Fragrance oils that recreate them tend to behave the same way. A white-floral candle usually fails by becoming sharp, sweet-sickly or headache-inducing in a small room long before it fails by being too faint. So the question for this family is rarely "is 10% strong enough?" and usually "is 8% already too much in a bedroom?". The stated maximum on every page here is 10%; that is a ceiling, not advice.

The green top goes first

What makes an Indian floral read as a living flower rather than a perfume is often its green edge: Raat Ki Rani's "Green Stems, Fresh Ozone", Mogra's "Fresh green", Rajnigandha's "Dewy Greens", British Rose's "subtle green undertones". Top notes like these are the first thing a burning candle spends. Cold-sniff at day 3 and day 7, and burn-test at 30 minutes and at 2 hours, so that you know how much of the green survives.

Wax, temperature and colour

Luxury Soy Wax CSI 464's page states a melt and pour of 80–90°C and a maximum of 10%; Premium Coconut Soy Wax CSI 468's states a pour of 58–60°C and up to 13%. Some makers prefer the lower-temperature wax for delicate floral tops. We cannot show you that it performs better with these oils; if your floral range is the core of your business, pour one oil in both and compare. CSI 468 costs ₹0.64 a gram at 10 kg, so the same 138 g of wax is ₹87.91 against ₹70.02 in CSI 464, ₹17.88 more per candle. Finally, some florals can shift the colour of white soy over the first weeks. Photograph each candle at day 1 and day 14; that is something to check, not a prediction.

The room is part of the test
Indian florals are often bought for bedrooms, puja corners and small flats. Test every floral in the smallest room you have, door closed, for two hours, and ask someone who walks in from outside. The person who poured it has already stopped smelling it.

Six florals to buy, and what each is for

Two white-floral anchors, two creamy supports, two roses. Six bottles cover every floral role an Indian range needs.

Ranked on how closely the stated notes serve an Indian floral range, whether a candle load is stated, price per gram and stock across sizes. CSI has no throw measurements for these oils. Candle counts assume 150 g at 8% (12 g of oil).

1
white floral · night · the Indian anchor
Raat Ki Rani (Night-Blooming Jasmine) Fragrance Oil
The only in-stock white floral with an Indian name, and the closest single oil to Mogra in the matrix above: jasmine, a green top and a musk base. Stated notes: "Top Notes: Green Stems, Fresh Ozone | Middle Notes: Night-Blooming Jasmine, White Florals | Base Notes: Soft Amber, Musk"; stated load "6-10% for candles". In wax, the ozone and green stems are what to watch: they give it lift at the first light and are the first notes to go. Limitation: it is 61% dearer per gram than Jasmine at 50 g, and in our judgement its heady, green style is the one most likely to crowd a small room. The web address still carries an old shipping note; every size is in stock.
Size Price Per gram 150 g candles at 8%
15 g ₹130.00 ₹8.67 1
50 g ₹370.00 ₹7.40 4
100 g ₹700.00 ₹7.00 8
500 g ₹3,387.00 ₹6.77 41
1 kg ₹6,774.00 ₹6.77 83
1 kg is 8.5% cheaper per gram than 50 g; 500 g is already at the 1 kg rate. Buy Raat Ki Rani
2
white floral · sweet · the volume floral
Jasmine Fragrance Oil
The floral you can make in quantity. "Sweet, floral, and slightly musky with a timeless luxurious aroma", "Recommended load up to 10% soy, up to 6% paraffin", and a real bulk price: ₹3.92 a gram at 500 g and 1 kg, 14.7% below the 50 g. It is also the backbone of both blends later in this guide. One 4-star review on its page reads "Hey, the fragrance is so nice. Can't wait to use in my candles!!" Limitation: the page does not say which jasmine it is, and "sweet" is the operative word; it will not pass as mogra with an Indian nose.
Size Price Per gram 150 g candles at 8%
15 g ₹103.00 ₹6.87 1
50 g ₹230.00 ₹4.60 4
100 g ₹430.00 ₹4.30 8
500 g ₹1,961.00 ₹3.92 41
1 kg ₹3,923.00 ₹3.92 83
Oil per 8% candle: ₹55.20 at 50 g, ₹47.08 at 1 kg. Buy Jasmine
3
creamy white floral · the velvet support
Gardenia Fragrance Oil
On its page wording, the creamiest in-stock floral: "Rich, creamy, and velvety - a true-to-life gardenia bloom", with a stated load "Up to 10% for soy wax candles ... Up to 6% for paraffin wax candles"; the page calls it "IFRA-certified" (its wording). The web address contains "tuberose", but the page describes gardenia, so buy it as gardenia. For an Indian range it earns its place as the creamy body that tuberose would otherwise supply. Limitation: gardenia is not a traditional Indian flower, so on its own it reads Western; it works best in a blend or a "white garden" candle.
Size Price Per gram 150 g candles at 8%
15 g ₹105.02 ₹7.00 1
50 g ₹223.02 ₹4.46 4
100 g ₹433.00 ₹4.33 8
500 g ₹2,166.00 ₹4.33 41
1 kg ₹4,332.00 ₹4.33 83
Flat ₹4.33/g from 100 g; the 15 g is 57% dearer per gram than the 50 g. Buy Gardenia
4
rich floral · the tuberose-like depth
Ylang Ylang Flower Fragrance Oil
Ylang ylang is one of the notes CSI's own Rajnigandha page lists, which makes it the most direct in-stock link to that oil. Its page reads "Sweet, rich, and floral with creamy undertones" and states "Up to 10% for soy wax Up to 6% for paraffin wax". It carries the heavy, slightly banana-like richness that makes tuberose feel opulent. Limitation: used alone at 10% it can be cloying; in our judgement it is strongest as a quarter of a blend rather than a solo candle.
Size Price Per gram 150 g candles at 8%
15 g ₹106.20 ₹7.08 1
50 g ₹330.40 ₹6.61 4
100 g ₹590.00 ₹5.90 8
500 g ₹2,714.00 ₹5.43 41
1 kg ₹5,310.00 ₹5.31 83
1 kg is 19.6% cheaper per gram than 50 g; oil per 8% candle ₹63.72 at 1 kg. Buy Ylang Ylang
5
rose · fresh · the day rose
British Rose Fragrance Oil
The lowest per-gram floral in this guide. "Fresh, dewy rose petals with subtle green undertones and a soft floral finish", with a stated candle load "up to 10% soy, up to 6% paraffin". One unverified review on its page says "In past five years of testing and searching for the best candle fragrance I would say I found what am looking for strong fragrance in cold throw and hot throw". That is one customer's view, not a measurement. Limitation: this is a garden rose, not the honeyed gulab of rose water and gulkand; for a darker, Indian-evening rose, see the next card.
Size Price Per gram 150 g candles at 8%
15 g ₹94.40 ₹6.29 1
50 g ₹212.40 ₹4.25 4
100 g ₹342.20 ₹3.42 8
500 g ₹1,593.00 ₹3.19 41
1 kg ₹3,068.00 ₹3.07 83
Buy the 100 g: ₹3.42/g against ₹4.25/g at 50 g; 1 kg is 27.8% below 50 g. Buy British Rose
6
smoky rose · the night rose
Smoked Rose Royale
A rose for the evening: "Top Notes:Dark rose petals Middle Notes:Smoky bakhoor accord, soft spice Base Notes:Amber, musk, warm woody undertones". This is the rose of an attar shop at dusk rather than a garden at dawn, and the one floral here aimed at a customer who finds most rose candles too light. The page states no candle load; the wax ceiling governs (10% in CSI 464). Limitation: no size below 100 g, and the 500 g and 1 kg cost ₹8.00 a gram against ₹7.99 for the 100 g, so bulk saves nothing.
Size Price Per gram 150 g candles at 8%
100 g ₹799.00 ₹7.99 8
500 g ₹3,999.00 ₹8.00 41
1 kg ₹7,999.00 ₹8.00 83
Oil per 8% candle: ₹95.88 at 100 g, ₹95.99 at 1 kg. Buy Smoked Rose Royale
The six-floral test: Raat Ki Rani, Jasmine, Gardenia and Ylang Ylang at 50 g, British Rose and Smoked Rose Royale at 100 g: ₹2,294.62. White florals only: the first four at 50 g, ₹1,153.42. That covers each oil at three loads (36 g) and, in place of the retest candles, both blends below (the blends need 11 g of Jasmine, 4 g of Raat Ki Rani, 6 g of Gardenia and 3 g of Ylang Ylang); for retests as well, buy Jasmine at 100 g.

Mogra-style and rajnigandha-style blends

You cannot buy the flower. You can build a candle that points at it, as long as the label tells the truth.

Blending two or three in-stock oils is how many small brands work around a gap. The ratios below are worked examples to start a test from, not formulas we have measured; adjust by nose. Keep the total at your chosen load (these use 12 g, which is 8% of a 150 g candle) and remember that the combined oil must stay within the lowest stated ceiling of any oil in the blend and of the wax: 10% here.

Worked-example blends · 12 g of oil per 150 g candle
What each blend borrows from, what it costs, and what it cannot do
Blend Grams per candle Oil cost at 50 g prices At 1 kg prices Why these oils What it cannot do
Mogra-style 8 g Jasmine + 4 g Raat Ki Rani ₹66.40 ₹58.48 Jasmine's sweetness plus Raat Ki Rani's green stems and musk base, the facets the Mogra page lists Recreate sambac's tea-like note; neither page names sambac
Rajnigandha-style 6 g Gardenia + 3 g Ylang Ylang + 3 g Jasmine ₹60.39 ₹53.69 The Rajnigandha page lists tuberose, jasmine and ylang ylang; gardenia stands in for the creamy body Supply tuberose itself; no in-stock oil lists it

A third route is Jasmine Coconut Spa Ceylon, which lists "Jasmine Sambac, Tiare Flower" in its heart: sambac is the mogra flower. It wraps it in "Coconut Milk, Bergamot" and "Vanilla Cream, Sandalwood, Soft Musk", which makes it a southern bridal jasmine rather than a plain mogra, and its page states no candle load. That full name is CSI's listing name; CSI is not affiliated with any brand it resembles, and it is not a name to put on your candle labels, so below we call it Jasmine Coconut. At ₹95.76 of oil per 8% candle at 50 g it is dearer than either blend. The cultural story of the wedding flowers, and when these candles sell, is in Traditional Indian Fragrances for Luxury Candles.

Mistake: calling the blend "Mogra" or "Rajnigandha" on the label. Fix: name what it evokes ("Gajra", "Mandap", "White Night") and, if you like, describe it as "inspired by" the flower in the product copy. A customer who buys "Rajnigandha" and smells gardenia will not come back; a customer who buys "Mandap" and smells a creamy wedding floral often will.

The blend candle costs ₹230.71 in materials as a worked example (rajnigandha-style oils at 50 g prices, 138 g CSI 464, clear 150 g jar, C1 wick), excluding labour, freight, packaging and GST. How to price florals against the rest of an Indian luxury range is in Indian Luxury Fragrance Oils for Candle Brands; ready-made collection kits are in Premium Indian Fragrance Oil Collection for Candle Businesses.

Day rose and night rose

Rose in India is not one scent. There is the morning rose of a garden or a temple offering, fresh and a little green; and there is the evening rose of the attar-seller, gulab jal at a wedding, and gulkand: dense, honeyed, sometimes smoky. A good Indian floral range can use both. CSI's two roses happen to split along exactly that line.

Two roses, compared on the page wording

Best moment Daytime, spring, Valentine's gifting Evening, winter, the wedding reception

The night rose costs ₹54.82 more in oil per candle than the day rose at the 100 g price. That is a big gap for the same flower name, and it only makes sense if the smoky rose sits higher in your price architecture. Rose as part of the oud-rose-sandalwood core is covered in Oud, Rose and Sandalwood Fragrance Oils for Indian Luxury Candles; there is no deep, honeyed attar-style rose in the catalogue on 24 September 2026, and the perfume-grade rose interpretation that carries a perfume brand's name quotes perfume usage rates rather than a candle load, so we have left it out.

Jasmine Coconut ₹7.98 ₹8.00 ₹95.76 ₹95.99 Fractionally dearer

Two lessons. First, the candle-grade florals (the first five rows) all get cheaper in bulk, British Rose and Ylang Ylang by the most; that is where a 1 kg order genuinely lowers your cost once an oil has passed its test. Second, the Royale and perfume-grade florals do not: their bigger sizes cost the same or fractionally more per gram. We sell those kilograms too. Buy them only because you need the quantity, never because you expect a saving. Worked-example material costs for a finished 150 g candle: Jasmine at the 1 kg price ₹217.40; Raat Ki Rani at the 50 g price ₹259.12; both exclude labour, freight, packaging and GST.

Testing Indian florals, step by step

Same discipline as any fragrance test (equal wax, jar and wick; weigh by total weight; three loads), with the checks that matter most for white florals. For six oils at three loads plus a retest each, that is 24 candles; add two for the blends at 8% if you are trying them, using the oil you would have spent on retests or a larger bottle.

1
Pour 6%, 8% and 10% by weight9 g, 12 g or 15 g of oil with 141 g, 138 g or 135 g of wax for a 150 g candle. For the blends, weigh each oil separately into the same jug: 8 g Jasmine then 4 g Raat Ki Rani, for example.
2
Photograph every candle at day 1Top and side, in daylight, beside an unscented control candle. You will compare at day 14 for colour change.
3
Cure a full week before judgingNone of these six pages states a cure time. At least 48–72 hours, longer for soy, is common practice; for florals we would wait seven days, cold-sniffing at day 3 and day 7 to see how much of the green top survives.
4
Burn in the smallest room, starting at 6%Door closed, two hours, one candle per session. Score the doorway at 30 minutes, 1 hour and 2 hours on two lines: "flower recognisable" and "comfortable to stay in". A floral that scores high on the first and low on the second is overloaded.
5
Ask an Indian nose the naming questionHand the candle to someone who grew up with the flowers and ask "what flower is this?". If Raat Ki Rani gets "raat ki rani" or "a garden at night", and the mogra-style blend gets "mogra" or "gajra", you can use those words in your copy. If it gets "soap" or "jasmine", name it accordingly.
6
Check the melt pool and the colour, then decideThe C1 wick is a starting point; if the melt pool has not reached the glass edge after two to three hours, retest with C2 or cotton braided from the Candle Wicks collection. Compare day-14 photos with day 1. Keep the lowest load that passes both the doorway and the comfort score.
Mistake: choosing the floral that smells best in the bottle. Fix: bottle, cold candle and burning candle are three different experiences, and white florals change the most between them. The oil you reorder is the one that is recognisable and comfortable in a closed room at two hours.
Wedding season opens broadly in November, and Valentine's Day is 14 February 2027. Florals are a natural gift candle for both. Once a floral passes its test, the candle-grade kilograms are where bulk pays: British Rose 1 kg is ₹3,068.00, 83 candles at 8%, at ₹36.82 of oil each. Ask us for a quote and GST invoice.

The CSI principle
Name the flower only if it is the flower.
Buy the Indian florals that are in stock, blend honestly around the ones that are not, and judge every white floral in a small room at two hours. The right load is the one people want to stay in.
"Mogra is a memory people carry in their hair. Sell them a jasmine and call it mogra, and they will know before the wick has caught."

Why trust this guide

CandleMakingSuppliesIndia sells every floral oil, wax, jar and wick named here and does not sell finished candles. This guide leads with the two Indian florals we cannot ship today, tells you not to label our Jasmine as mogra, and states that our Royale and perfume-grade florals are not cheaper per gram in bulk.

Every price, pack size and per-gram figure was taken from CSI's live store and verified on 24 September 2026. Mogra and every size of Rajnigandha are flagged as out of stock on that date and never presented as buyable. Notes, candle loads and IFRA wording are quoted from each product page; where a page does not state a candle load, we say so.

How white florals behave in wax, the note-facet matrix and the blend ratios are our judgement and worked examples, not measurements; CSI has no throw data for these oils. For bulk pricing, GST invoicing, and MSDS and IFRA documentation on request, message us on WhatsApp at +91 7397976926.

Frequently asked questions

Where can I buy mogra fragrance oil for candles in India?
CSI lists a Mogra Fragrance Oil (100 g, ₹642.00), but it is out of stock on 24 September 2026. Ask on WhatsApp for a restock date. In the meantime Raat Ki Rani is the closest in-stock single oil, and Jasmine Coconut lists jasmine sambac, the mogra flower.
Is there a tuberose (rajnigandha) fragrance oil for candles in stock?
Not at CSI on 24 September 2026: every size of Rajnigandha (Tuberose) is out of stock, and no in-stock oil lists tuberose. A worked-example rajnigandha-style blend of 6 g Gardenia, 3 g Ylang Ylang and 3 g Jasmine costs ₹60.39 of oil per 150 g candle at 50 g prices; label it as a blend, not as tuberose.
What is the best jasmine fragrance oil for soy candles?
It depends on the jasmine you want. CSI's Jasmine is sweet and slightly musky, states up to 10% in soy and costs ₹3.92 a gram at 1 kg. Raat Ki Rani is greener, with a musk-amber base, at ₹7.40 a gram at 50 g. Test both at 6%, 8% and 10%.
Why does my jasmine candle smell too strong or give a headache?
White florals tend to become heady before they become weak, especially in small rooms. Try the same oil at 6% instead of 10%, cure for a week, and test in a small room with the door closed. The page maximum is a ceiling, not a recommended load.
How much rose fragrance oil for a 150 g candle?
At 8% of total weight, 12 g of oil and 138 g of wax. British Rose states up to 10% in soy, so test 9 g, 12 g and 15 g; that is ₹41.06 of oil at 8% at the 100 g price. Smoked Rose Royale states no load, so the wax ceiling (10% in CSI 464) governs.
Is gardenia the same as tuberose fragrance oil?
No. CSI's Gardenia page describes "a true-to-life gardenia bloom", even though its web address mentions tuberose. It shares tuberose's creaminess but not its character; use it as part of a blend if you want a tuberose feel.

Non-price figures: candle maths assume a 150 g candle with load as a percentage of total weight (8% = 12 g oil + 138 g wax); candle counts are floor(grams ÷ 12). Wax figures (CSI 464: 80–90°C, up to 10%; CSI 468: pour 58–60°C, up to 13%) are the wax pages' wording; ceilings are formulation limits, not regulatory limits. Blend ratios and per-candle costs are worked examples and exclude labour, freight, packaging and GST. The note-facet matrix simplifies each page's wording. Valentine's Day (14 February 2027) is a calendar date; the wedding season is approximate.
